Awesome place! I m not a rich, high class individual. My wife and I splurged on a room and some golf. This place is awesome! The golf course was amazing too !! There was an incident I experienced that was disappointing. A young employee that is supposed to be cleaning the pool chairs and tables. He instead took a seat in a chair and cleaned the same corner of the table for 15 minutes. I think this is awful with the virus . This is important job. Give it to an employee that is responsible I have a video of it on my phone if someone from the hotel wants to see it . It was Sunday May 31st

As a first time guest at Ross Bridge, I had high expectations given the reviews I had read. However, our stay on July 18 was horrible.
1. Our room was not ready at 4:00. The employee was extremely rude and just waved us off. We waited in the lobby for almost 45 minutes with zero explanation as to why our room was not ready. We were not offered any kind of comp, drinks, etc. After finally entering our rooms, our shower was not cleaned thoroughly.
2. The bar lounge had a terrible cigarette smell due to the large amount of smokers on the patio.
3. An appliance worker woke us up early in the morning pounding on the door saying he was there to replace the broke door knob...which we did not call in . So, he was apparently at the wrong room.
4. For breakfast, we had to eat in the clubhouse instead of the main restaurant due to every table being full of dirty dishes that had not been bused yet. It was clear they were short staffed.
5. When trying to leave for valet, I was actually given a duplicate ticket , so they brought the wrong car up twice. They misplaced my bag and had to find find an employee from his lunch break to bring it up the front.
6. We also had a charge on our bill that was incorrect and overcharged.
Needless, to say, we will not be returning and are very disappointed in the service at this "5 Star Resort".
We were not offered any kind of apology, compensation, nothing for the clear lack of customer service.
I visited the spa for a massage and it was a wonderful experience. The ambience was exceptional and the attention to detail was impressive. The waiting room was very comfortable with fresh fruit and nuts along with cucumber water awaited you before and after your massage. The massage therapist did a great job along with all of the staff from the check-in clerk's to the locker room attendant. They were all very pleasant and professional. I definitely look forward to another visit soon.
Lovely facility and they hosted our large group event without any issues. Staff was very accommodating and friendly and room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was tasty with a varied selection, but pricy. Their signature cocktail, Stella! was great.
Weekend date get away spot for me and my bride. This is a elegant resort with the following amenities Aveda Spa, Health club, indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool, RTJ golf club.
Ask for their package deals. They offer state employee and military deals.
Your minutes away from plenty of local attractions-Red Mountain, Mcwane center, B ham zoo, Vulcan Park, B ham botanical gardens and many other attractions.
we came here from several states over to experience this great golf course, course was great, golf course staff from top to bottom was PISS POOR! would NEVER come back. One correction, the starter was the only one helpful and did his job in a professional manner.
Great place to stay very comfortable rooms, courteous staff that's very helpful, informative and they're there when you need them . They make your stay an awesome experience to remember so you'll want to come back again
Beautiful hotel spa and resort! Amazingly friendly staff, clean and just gorgeous! Looks and feels like a castle and your treated like royalty! Simply amazing
The hotel looks amazing, from the outside in everything is gorgiouse, well until you walk into the room. To be honost the rooms are rather blend for a Renaissance branded hotel. The service in the resturants and bar area is great, however the guys and gals working the night shift at front desk have no idea what they are doing. Overall its a nice place to stay on thier discounted room rates, not thier standard room rate.
Our reservation was made in Feb for a month later. We arrived one hour after checkin due to 2 wrecks on interstate. Upon arrival told only had handicap room and can't use luggage cart unless pay bellhop. As I stood on sidewalk with luggage no one ever offer services, yet greeted other guests that drove up. When I asked for cart it was denied and told hotel policy didn't allow me to use a. Cart. The shower floods the bathroom, fridge broke and phone doesn't work. If you come here, better really love golf and bad service. I could go on, but think you got the drift.
Massage was relaxing. The facilities are clean and staff are welcoming. Every amenity you need is available. So whether it's planned or spur of the moment spa day, they have you covered.
Please be aware that if you book your stay during Covid 19 and have to cancel, you will not see a refund for up to 120 days per their customer support line!!!! Unacceptable!!!!!!!!
The service is outstanding. On one of our visits, we wanted coffee late night and asked a gentleman at the bar where we could get some. He offered to get some for us, left the bar, and returned later with a full coffee service. Everyone is always so friendly.
This my secone time coming here and every year it gets better. The food taste better and the hotels are lurxy. The people are all friendly and don't mind helping you out. I can't wait to come back next year.
Beautiful hotel and golf course with very friendly staff. Service in restaurants was somewhat inconsistent. Non members must pay $9.95 per day for WiFi.
Really disappointed with the romance package! We was told it would be in the room between 4-6 so it wasn t there at 4 upon arrival then when it was almost 7:30 we called front desk because we still haven t received it. Wasn t worth the wait it was the worst tasting champagne we have ever had we couldn t even drink a whole glass. We looked it up and it was super cheap so I guess that is why. The strawberries were 5 in a bowl dipped in dark chocolate no presentation at all just put in a bowl covered with Saran Wrap. Really was expecting more out of what we payed and how nice the place is.
Besides this resort being beautiful, accommodating, and kid-friendly, I have to say that I am MORE than impressed by their staff. We had to leave early one Thursday morning to get to Atlanta and I left my first pair (push present) earrings in the bathroom. We called like 10 minutes after we left and they looked and didn t see them. But a few days later we tried again and some sweet soul found them and turned them in to the lost and found! I couldn t believe it!! Got them mailed to me (no charge) 3 days later. I just want to give a shout out to the awesome people that work there. The valet people, desk workers, the wait staff...this place is top notch! I have recommended this resort to all of my friends and family and we can t wait to visit again!
Favorite hotel stay over the past year! Everything there was spotless clean and is beautiful. Our room was perfect and spacious & my daughter loved the pool!! We can't wait to be back!!
4th of July is a BUST!! This is our fourth year coming!! We was amazed at the quality of fireworks, barbecue and s mores that was available. Then last year they informed us that the fireworks was the weekend BEFORE the fourth!! We were reluctant to come again even though this is a family trip we plan yearly. Checked in again this fourth and AGIAN!!!!!!! NO FIREWORKS!! Now we get 5 rooms at 300 a night for 2 nights!! We have 5 children under the age of 11!! I think for $3000 we DESERVE FIREWORKS!! An apology this year just will not do!! We will NOT be back!!!!
Beautiful property and room. Only downside was that I booked the room though their website and when I got there I tried to add my AAA card discount but they wouldn't allow this since I already booked the room the night before. So annoying and I don't know why they could not just apply the discount.
I arrived later in the evening and I must say that the hotel is so beautiful at night. It looks like an elegant castle. It is nestled inside of a very upscale neighborhood. When I entered to check in, I saw a fire going, piano, fire pits, and pool. The staff were very friendly. Getting to the room reminded me of the long corridors of a castle as I made my way through the hallway. The room was also very nice. Comfortable bed and a spacious room complete with fridge coffee maker and flatscreen television. The bathroom had separate run and shower with very hot water. My favorite thing was the balcony. I could walk into the balcony, which had two chairs, and see beautiful views of the property. I loved this hotel stay and hope to visit again.
The room was nicely appointed and spacious, though the bed was VERY firm. We really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and spa! The coffee shop had tasty coffee, and the infused water stations were a nice touch. Staff was awesome.
Beautiful room. Checked in Friday afternoon to a clean room. Left Saturday at 9:00 am and got back at 6:00 pm. Room had not been cleaned. No clean towels. Called twice and waited over 2 hours for someone to come clean and bring towels. Housekeeping finally showed up at 8:15 and vacuumed under our feet. Same thing Sunday. Was gone all day Sunday and came back and room not cleaned and no clean towels. Called twice and after another 2 hours someone knocked on the door and handed us clean towels. Manager called and apologized and took off part of one nights rate. The lady at the desk apologized and added points to our Marriott rewards. Have never had any problems with any other Marriott hotel we have stayed at.
Outstanding customers service. All the way from Oxford Al. Addons Boutique. The guys were gre8! In helping me load and unload my merchandise. The women helped with everything also. Management the BOMB! Front desk awesome. Thanks
A great family or couples getaway. All around well done. Only exception might be the service in the dining halls and those dang scratchy towels - why?. The kids and adults in our group loved it and hope to return again soon.
This hotel is gorgeous and so are all of the surrounding neighborhoods and houses. The staff has been great and have exceeded all of my expectations. This is my first time in Alabama and I've loved every minute of it.
The Ross bridge is one of the great Marriott properties that you should visit in Alabama. My family and I visit the property at least four to six times a year for business and pleasure. Most of our stays have been a great experience, however when we've had a issue it's been resolved with management to our satisfaction. I have personally spoken with Kyle and Jason of the management team and they've been very helpful as well to ensure we had a great experience. Macy from the Spa was very helpful with giving some ideas about places in the area to visit. Definitely give it a try you'll enjoy it.
