Our trip isn't over so perhaps there is time for my opinion to change but as of this moment the word I would choose to describe our experience is underwhelming and we do not plan on returning.

We arrived around 11pm 12/22/2020. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous as they checked us in and answered the few questions we had.

Once we arrived at our room we realized we'd received the room right across from the elevator and next to the vending machine. In my humble opinion spaces such as this would be better suited for storage closets. The high traffic, children yelling/talking, people singing (out of tune), was not what we had envisioned when booking.

Once in the room we were again underwhelmed as we stepped out on the balcony. The weather was calm and cool not a breeze to be felt, after a few seconds my wife and I simultaneously said to each other I smell gas. So we went back inside (the view was unimpressive).

While we did not intend to use the tub we noticed it was broken. In addition the magnifying mirror was dusty and broken as it doesn't illuminate. The shower at a distance looked nice however once your in you can see it could use to TLC.

Given the totality of these grievances as before stated we'll be staying elsewhere during our next visit and I can't bring myself to award the hotel more than 2 stars.

The room was spacious which was nice, other than than it's hard to find another positive at the moment.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Ross Bridge Resort for a weekend. When we left we opted for quick check out. When we arrived home, I noticed that I had been charge for two LOCAL telephone calls at a rate of $5.42 each. Neither call was answered. I called, they rang, I hung up. That was it. I telephoned the hotel about this and was told that guests are charged $5.42 per call even if the call is local, only for one second and the call is not answered. I asked that this amount be credited back to my card and was informed that they only have the ability to view a previous bill and that they cannot make any changes to it after a day. I would not stay at this hotel again. I would rather stay at a Motel 6 where at least my local calls are free.

Had the worst massage of my life this past weekend and paid over $250 for the displeasure. My wife and I had couple's massages. The therapists were nice enough, but mine seemed completely untrained. Was truly just a rub-down. My wife's had a coughing fit as soon as the treatment started. I feel sorry for her and her condition, but after several trips out of the room and delays in coming back, they should have swapped therapists or refunder the money. We were offered a 10% discount on what was 10 mins of massage total. I'd be interested to know how many therapists there have completed training of any sort, much less the training required to justify $130 per 50-min massage.

Nice place, great rooms. My only complaint is the food. Only ate twice one of which was a party for 20 so we got to taste a bunch of different things. They try to be fancy but should stick to local and familiar dishes. The pasta Bolognese had regular spaghetti instead of pappardelle or tagliatelle. The scallops, my favorite, had a strange oil or fat and bad mouth feel with a very funky taste. Three scallops and I left one and the balance of the dish. The appetizer was great, with a lot of quality cheeses and meats. Waiters and bartenders were great, drink prices are reasonable.

The breakfast buffet was incredible. The room.... there was toothpaste splatters on the wood trim around the bathroom mirror. The pictures and other decor on the walls were very dusty. The bathroom door had drips (maybe coffee) and there had been repairs on the door. Those repairs were painted with a different hue of paint.

Loved our stay. The rooms are nice, quite and very relaxing. If you want to use the spa make sure you make appointments prior to your arrival. They had no spots available and they didn't seem to be very friendly at all. Asked questions about services and all the lady at the desk could say was "I don't know."

Greens and fringe were in terrible shape. If you don't believe me, walk over to the practice green before you pay. It was over 90 degrees today and has also been 48 hours since it has rained here. Cart path only ! The greens and tee boxes are all very far away from cart path. Not fun for my 65 year old dad w a bad ankle. Not a world class course like you would expect as you pull up and see all of the beautiful construction. We played all over the state and the greens everywhere else were in good shape. We contiplated not playing this course because it was more expensive than the other Robert Trent Jones courses on the Trail and they also did not offer a replay. After viewing it online we agreed that it was very nice looking and we should make the 1 hr trip from our hotel in Gadsden and try it out. Not worth it. I expressed my disapointment to the assistant pro today and he took a very condesending tone. I told him that we felt like we could have chose a better course for our money today, but since we were there would he offer us the opportunity to play another 9. He started laughing and asked me, "If the greens were so bad, why would I want to replay." He was very arrogant and i did not appreciate the disrespect, especially after I drove from St. Louis to Gadsden, then another hour from Gadsden.

I have been coming here since they first opened. It seems like there are some things they cut corners on these days that they didn't when they first opened. Many of the employees in the restaurants are foreign visa workers and it seems to take quite a bit of time to get your check when you are finished.

This is the second time we have stayed here, both associated with the same event, several years apart. I can honestly say that our second visit was the same quality as our first. The event draws around 100 people for a dinner and breakfast the next morning. Everything was perfect, from the hotel rooms, to the food, and last but not least, the quality of service. I would definitely suggest this hotel for any event or hotel stay. Note: the attached photo is a beautiful piece of art on the wall in the main lobby.

Excellent stay. Staff was friendly, room service was prompt and delicious, great pool, fully stocked fitness center, coffee bar. Pretty much all you could ask for in a hotel. We'll definitely be staying again, for the spa if nothing else.

I spent a woderful long weekend at the beautiful Ross Bridge resort. I am a Birmingham native and live 20 minutes from this resort, but I feel like I am away, far from home, in the lap of luxury when I go to Ross Bridge. I had 2 sets of friends staying at the resort this weekend and I stayed in both of the rooms. My friends from work and I used our teacher discount through the Retirement Systems of Alabama to book connecting rooms for a girls spa day and night out. I had a wonderful early morning scalp and foot massage by Suzanne, then lunch by the pool until some of our other friends arrived. We waited on the pleasantly shaded patio outside of JT's lounge just off of the lobby while we waited on our room to be ready. The rooms were very nice, extremely large bathrooms with seperate tub and showers. These two rooms overlooked the front drive area.We could even see the bagpipe player come in the entrance in the early evening. I had another friend who was in town for our 35th class reunion and her room overlooked the golf course and I stayed with her the rest of the weekend. We also took advantage of the daily free cocktail in JT's. The cocktial was different each day which was really fun. We also had some light snacks and food at JT's which were all great, especially the burger with the truffle fries! We ate by the pool a few times with great food and drinks. The breakfast buffet at Brock's is delicious....I loved the croissant french toast! The service at this hotel is excellent! All of the employees from the spa, to the front desk, to the pool, at Brock's, and especially at JT's were super friendly, kind and helpful.....the epitome of southern hospitality! My only suggestion is the rooms need some USB ports for charging devices, other than that it was a great experience!! I am already trying to figure out when I can visit again!

From my visit, I was very unhappy with the way the spa was managed. We had MULTIPLE appointments canceled due to them not having enough staff. We would of rather our appointments have been rescheduled than to receive services while frustrated and annoyed. The staff was not discreet in what was going on & it was honestly, embarrassing. We will not be returning & I will not be recommending this spa to anyone. Do not let them mislead you about the Quiet Room , the room is in with the Whirlpool & it is VERY loud. The prices for the services receive are OUTRAGEOUS & when quoted while scheduling, we were misquoted buy a long shot.

Nice facility. Attended a wedding there. During the wedding the staff allowed someone to play bag pipes in the background during the entire ceremony. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Service without attitude. Gracious help at every turn without ever being intrusive. Great food. Everything is super clean! From your room to the hallway to the pool. The bagpipes played at sunset transport you to another place, another time.

This hotel stay was absolutely terrible (especially given the price). Management and ownership ought to be completely ashamed.
My wife and kids and I decided to spend an evening here to let the kids play at the pool. Here are some of the ways the facility and service fell short:
The front desk staff delivered poor customer service, showed no courteousness, and was generally unhelpful. As an example it took 5 hours and three separate requests to get a pack-and-play for one of my children.
The restaurants were truly subpar. The salsa tasted like marinara, the chicken wings were truly inedible, and the restaurant staff were rude.
The wait staff in the pool area were slow and generally not so helpful.
The room itself was nice enough, but the AC was not working properly. The room temperature never got below 76 or 77 even though we had it running on high the entire time.
Also, there was a dude singing live music piped into the pool area via PA. It was soooo bad I thought I was getting punked. I m not talking about the choice in music. I am saying the guy sounded so bad, out of tune, off key, etc that no person alive could say it was decent music.
The bell staff was actually very nice.
My stay here was in the $490 area per night and it is a guarantee my family will never return. I truly suggest finding any other place to stay. Regards

One of the best looking hotels in the area. Great golf course and casual restaurant at the turn on the golf course. With countless burgers and soups to pick from. Pool is fantastic with slide for kids.

Rooms were not clean. There were lego pieces and dust bunnies under the bed. Shampoo and toiletries were extremely sparse. We had a room with view of the parking lot and the fan from the kitchen blew grease smell in our room everytime we were I the balcony. We had to wait 1.5 hours for a table at dinner. Food was not better than average fast food. The kids didnt even get silverware and when my son asked for a water refill it took 15 minutes. Then dessert order took 30minutes. In the morning we wanted to go for a bicycle ride. Bikes had flat tires that we had to pump up amd were not in good shape.. breakfast took another 40min wait.. I had to asked for coffee and refills...terrible service that I would not have expected..

My coworker suggested that I treat a friend to a pedicure at Ross Bridge and I was thoroughly excited to go; however, was very displeased with the service. Once we were both seated in our pedicure chairs she was tended to immediately while the nail technician doing my services was still doing a manicure for another client. I didn't think anything of it and figured I would get the same treatment as my friend once the technician finished. After about 15 to 20 minutes she came over and began my pedicure but was in an extreme rush. Long story short my technician (after starting 20 minutes later than the other) finished at the same time as my friends meaning I got 20 minutes less of a service. When going to a place like Ross Bridge Spa and paying $55 for a pedicure I expect much better service.

Our group came down last weekend and had an excellent time. We were well taken care of, even having a bartender stop on her way in to pick me up a root beer for my captain at night! The food was excellent and accommodations wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Only redeeming quality about this place was the spa and the front desk staff. The spa was incredible, I booked an appointment just to get my hair done and was still able to enjoy the amenities which included a complementary mimosas and snacks, a relaxation room with a hot tub and a sauna and another pleasant waiting area.
However, the managers were extremely rude and awful to me and some of the wedding party I was with. The bartenders at JTs were some of the worst I have ever had to. Expensive drinks, slow service, bad attitude. Also watched them pour one type of liquor and charge for another.

My wife and I stayed here on our wedding night. The doorman was incredibly kind and helpful. However, we were told we had free internet and a "surprise" in the room since it was our wedding night; neither of those things were true. The shower water temperature also was either blazing hot or freezing cold, no in-between
