This is what a hotel should be. It's clean and inviting as well as conveniently located. It's kind of pricey but i've stayed twice and been happy both times.

Nice hotel in a convenient location for accessing all of Seattle. Especially nice if you have club access through your Marriott status as the club is on the 28th floor with great views of the water and city. Would have been a more generic hotel experience without Marriott status.

Concierge lounge was too busy. Did not provide a good experience for my fellow guest who is lifetime platinum elite..room was good as always. Enjoyed the bed and the hotels location. Overall pleasant stay.

Nice rooms (not big), elevators are speedy and the fitness center is decent. Wifi is speedy though requires money in the room ($12-15/day) and parking is an atrocious $45 a day, $57 valet, though the underground garage is nice with in and out privileges. No free breakfast and the breakfast buffet is only so-so.
The biggest downside(?) is that this place is at the top of one of the tallest hills in downtown Seattle, so leaving is all downhill but walking back to the hotel is a workout of a climb.

Hotel stay was great, the Mariner game was memorable. However, the walk to and from Safeco field left me not wanting to go back to Seattle...several piles of human waste were seen presumably from the homeless people in tents and the marijuana smell was obvious.

The hotel was nice and well appointed. We had a nice view looking east. I'm guessing the view looking West is the nicer one. The shower head was a little low, but I'm a tall guy. The staff was terrific. Would stay here again.

This is a beautiful hotel situated conveniently near the waterfront, only a few blocks away. It's also only a block or two away from the Seattle Library. My wife and I stayed there last month and we had a great time. The salt water pool room is at the top floor with a stunning view of the city. There was one night where somebody was working out in the floor above us (we were right under the work out room), and it was a little noisy, so we asked if we could change rooms and the people working were very accommodating. Our second room was more beautiful than the first!
We also ate at Maxwell's restaurant on the 2nd floor a couple times and they had great food and great service. We'd be happy to stay there again!

Nice and friendly staff. Clean rooms location is good . Just didn't like the new room service menu most meals options have ham and almost nothing for vegetarian people or anyone doesn't eat ham .

It is very cute and modern and the people are very friendly. The bed was broken and the water was very hot or a little cold, not very comfortable. The internet and tv also work bie.

Clean rooms. Toilet is in a weird location in the bathroom, but otherwise nicely appointed. We requested extra blankets and they were delivered promptly. Location was okay, a decent walk to Pike's, especially if you account for the steep hills. Recommend a ride share if you have older or not in good shape people.

This hotel is run pretty well and is quite clean. The rooms were spacious and well kept. It is also more or less centrally located for a good amount of attractions and a short walk to the water. Overall the hotel was great and provided a good experience.

The Renaissance was a beautiful hotel with easy access. The room seemed a bit outdated for this caliber, but wasn't a significant concern. Situated near the freeway, noise also was not an concern, although we were not facing it. They had decorations for the lunar New Year. Overall, would strongly consider staying here again.

Terrible manager at this hotel. No cuatomer service experience and was not kind in any fashion. Waited over an hour for his assistance as he departed in the back room for a break and most likely forgot about me. Decided to stay at another Marriott in seattle. His name was Husan, he just lost a customer not that he cares. Marriott should be embarrassed to put a man of this calibur in charge. Others were complaining also to just put things in perspective.

The beds are comfy and the room is dark enough, not quite pitch black. The hotel is close to the city center and it's walking distance to many tourist attractions, not including the Seattle Space Needle. The gym is also quite nice. There is a hair salon below the hotel and an Amazon Go store directly behind. The hotel is situated right next to the highway, however, so you can constantly hear the traffic, making it a bit difficult to sleep if you're a fickle sleeper.

Great location to a variety off attractions. Booking was for the night before for some odd reasons, so the lady in the front desk was acting like it was my mistake. She called a manager so we had to wait for about 5mins. The gentleman was kind and showed her what the issue was. He accommodated us and apologized for the inconvenience however nothing like that from her. Disappointed a bit considering the brand of this hotel. Room was clean and tidy. Great office space and cool desk lamp (furniture). Bathroom lighting not so light. I hate hotels with connecting rooms door but thats just me.

I was traveling for work and stayed here 4 nights a week for about 10 months. Being downtown, the price for what you get is pretty impressive. I only have one nitpick, and I'm not sure why it's the only negative thing that stands out in my memory, but the towels they supplied were a bit rough :) Otherwise I'd highly recommend it to anyone staying downtown, particularly for work.

Overall, this was a good place to stay, but there were some downsides. The hotel is located just a few blocks south of the main shopping district I'm downtown, which was nice, but it was also on the steepest hills around. The room was clean and chic, nothing to write home about. Bed was firm and bedding was soft, just the way they should be. Doesn't seem like the hotel had the best views, there is a taller building on the west side of the same block, so the waterfront is mostly blocked from view. We were on the south side, overlooking pretty much just I-5. No switch for the fan in the bathroom, so it got a little muggy after showering. The TV service was great, included Netflix and HBO GO in the channel selection. The remote control was backlit, which made it a lot easier to channelsurf in the dark after the kids fell asleep. Didn't utilize the lounge/bar/restaurant downstairs, but it looked ritzy. Staff were pleasant and courteous.

Rooms were very nice and cozy. Stayed for two nights but never had breakfast there. Starbucks in the lobby is nice. Lots of parking spots in their own garage and easily accessible through the hotel lobby.

I used Priceline to book a room at the hotel and everything went as smooth as could be. Check in and check out were pretty much instantaneous. Rooms are spacious and the mattress is one of the comfiest I've ever been on!

It was a pretty clean, nice room. Kinda overpriced though, especially considering the lack of pool. Room service was great, and the staff were very friendly.

They thought I was booked for 4 nights when really my travel agent booked 5. Had to show them my online receipt to prove it. Then they said "well I just hope no one else shows up needing a room...."
Room was dirty, had blood on the comforter, and one morning while eating breakfast on the second floor they gave me a napkin that wasn't washed.... still had someone else's food in it from when they wiped their mouth....
Never going back to this hotel, I think their hygiene needs to be checked on... Oh, and a $13 fee for internet is a joke...

The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The valet and the door men particularly personable and always Pleasant to us despite the fact we were wearing some pretty goofy costumes. The front desk staff were always smiling, and even the restaurant staff were quite nice. It's also worth noting that it's incredibly easy to get to from the freeway, which was nice for small town folk like myself.

Staff was very rude when I asked very basic questions. They were also understaffed for checkin and it took over 20 minutes to checkin. Internet is also about $14 dollars a day regardless of if you have VIP status with your booking agent. I ve spent 100+ nights in hotels this year and have never had a guy at the front desk treat me with so little respect/hostility just because I asked if there was any chance I could get the promotional internet code. (Which typically at any other hotel I ve stayed at, if you ask nicely they will typically just give you, especially when you are staying multiple nights.) this hotel really needs to work on their employees people skills. There were a million other ways that this guy could have politely said no.
It seems that they are very friendly and accommodating to those that are with the current event that they are hosting and could care less about their other guests.
This hotel is also right next to the highway so if you don t like the loud noise of cars/sirens etc this isn t the hotel for you. I stayed at another hotel earlier in the week in downtown a few
Blocks away which was much quieter. (I would have stayed there if the rooms weren t all booked).
I am giving 2 stars simply because the room is clean. Overall though I would never chose to stay here again and will stay in a different hotel next week. They need to work on their customer service skills.
