Great location, well kept, updated hotel. The lounge has a good view of the town. Good options for breakfast. They have evening snacks and followed by desert later on.
Good decent sized lounge, feels open, not crowded and cramped like some other Marriott properties.

I have to say, the check-in person was outstanding on greeting and check in process.
Will stay again for sure.

Amazing... The wife and I left the kids with family and took a night off for ourselves. Man, what a great choice. The staff was super accomodating, the gal who checked us in seemed to "get" why we were there and I cant say for sure but we ended up in a room that felt MUCH nicer than what i thought i had paid for. This gal even called us after a little while to ask what we thought of the view which given we were in a corner spot gave us at least a 90degree panoramic view between the waterfront at one end and the Space Needle at the other. Pretty much blew my expectations out of the water. Thanks for the memories

A clean and neat place like this was a great place to spend with my free time. A five-stars satisfaction rating all the way for this place. I would definitely recommend and refer your services to everyone without any hesitation. Best!

Hotel is clean, we'll maintained and up to date. My room was very big and spacious. Staff is friendly and helpful. Valet guys were great! Gave good restaurant suggestions, parking advice for sightseeing, etc...

Parking at the hotel is Valet or self park, upwards of $30. I parked on the bridge (street) by the hotel for $4 per hour. Paid $8 in the 2 nights I was there. ... There's always street parking available at night, even when I got in at 11pm.

The homeless population in Seattle is out of control but there were none by the hotel. Construction is also a huge part of the landscape of Seattle but it didn't affect me at all.

Beds are cheap, refrigerator was broken and staff did nothing to fix it. No pool, and parking is overpriced. There's also road construction currently going on. If you have any options, I would recommend taking this place off your list.

Really nice hotel. One of the vest rooms ive stayed in. Pet friendly. Only down side is parking is not free even if your an marriot elite status and its around 42$$ a day! Crazy expensive parking

More of a boutique hotel feel within the Marriott brand. Room was clean and had all I needed. Had a small gym but no pool. On-site restaurant, The Fig & The Judge, is 'meh' - limited menu with acceptable food but extremely slow service even when not many diners in. The hotel is centrally located within downtown Seattle.

Cool

They truly go above and beyond in making you feel are welcomed when you stay at this property. Thank you Joon for the room upgrade during our stay. The only down side to this property is that if your walking its on one of the steeper hills in downtown Seattle. Be prepared for a very brisk walk to and from this property. Aside from that, they really do take of their guests! I can't wait to return to the hotel.

Clean and renovated hotel located in the heart of downtown. Short walk to major attractions including the shopping area, Pioneer Square, Capital Hill and easily accessible to the freeway. The hotel rooms provide Aveda products and is well maintained. The fitness center exceeded my expectations as it was well equipped with free weights, cardio and circuit machines.

I knew id get in trouble if I proposed in a public place so I tried thinking out of the box and ended up out of town at the Renaissance. I had flowers delivered to the front desk and the hotel discretely kept them cool until I had a chance to prep the room. The hotel staff was excellent at dealing with my special requests and not giving the surprise away. In the end she said yes. Also, the location was wonderful and you can easily walk down hill to the core shopping district. I'm sure we will be staying there again. Thank you so much!

Great hotel. Beautiful atmosphere, great food. Had trouble with their parking validation. Was told to validate parking at the front desk, but when I asked she was dismissive and confused and told me to go back to the second floor to validate. No place to validate. Went to concierge and he was helpful and told me the correct place to validate.

Great views of downtown Seattle, centrally located. Attentive staff, decent amenities. Comfortable rooms, but the age is showing in slightly cracking walls, scarred baseboards, and old HVAC. Concierge level has amazing views and fantastic seating.

Very clean and Modern Hotel. Great location central to Downtown Seattle. A little bit of a hike up the hill from First Avenue but nothing a$5 Uber won't take care of. LOL. We will definitely be back if visiting Seattle in the future.

Booked a corrner sute for our trip, and was not disappointed. Spacious sittting room with TV, a coffee maker, and safe, we found the amentiies quite nice. The bed was clean and comfortable, and when we requested some additional coffe and cups, the staff were quite prompt. Valet service and luggage assistance was courteous and professional. All in all a pretty great experience. Just watch out at the bar. The gratuitity is already include in the bill. My fellow neglected to mention it, and scored.

This is a very comfortable hotel close to downtown Seattle. My only complaint is that they bill you daily for the use of their Wi-Fi unless you join their rewards program. It s hard to believe that a hotel of this caliber would do so considering most of its guests are business people requiring access to the Internet on an on-going basis.

I stayed in a group of four over the weekend for Sakura-Con. The staff was VERY friendly and patient. They seemed happy to chat, even super early in the morning. That's where the three stars come from. However, there were more than a couple problems that really bothered my group.

1. The hotel puts a huge pending charge on your card. Our stay was around $600, but from the start, they wanted to charge us over $1,000. I'm sure it's for safety precautions, but the hotel we normally stay at has never done that to us. We didn't know beforehand and we weren't prepared; we had problems figuring out what to do. Finally, we were able to figure out how to pay some cash up front and charge other things on a card later. It was very confusing.

2. Because we had to pay cash up front, we needed to use the ATM. Even though we needed to pay over $600, the ATM would not let us take out more than $400 overall. The maximum withdrawal for one transaction was $200. The person paying for the hotel was only able to do this twice.

3. We stayed in what was supposed to be a two-queen room. The beds were definitely not as wide as actual queens. It was difficult at times for us to sleep with two people on them since there was little room.

4. The bathroom door was a slider; it didn't actually close or lock. It was separated from the wall, so you could see inside at some angles. You could also hear anything happening in there. Very awkward if you're not close with your roommates.

5. Speaking of the bathroom, the steam from the shower set our fire sprinkler off.

6. There is no free internet for non-members. Signing up to be a member of the hotel system they have is free, but you are required to sign up for it or else pay about $13 a day for internet access.

7. Water at the Starbucks/bar area was $8. I'm not sure that I need to say much about this.

The first day that we sat in our hotel room, we said that we won't be coming back to Renaissance. It's close to the convention center, but it's more expensive than the one we normally stay at (which is a block closer) and these problems were just a little much for us.

The facility was nice, for the conference, food was outstanding. I would have preferred a bit more training from the front desk staff, they seemed a bit lost most of the time. Check in was a nightmare, and check out wasn't as bad. Had to move rooms due to a leak in the shower. Rooms were nice, the bed wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked, but the housekeeping staff was EXCELLENT!

A+

This was one of my favorite hotels until recently. I had a very important piece of jewelry stolen during a recent stay. I will never stay here again, and would warn everyone to make sure you keep your important items secured in the safe!

Clean room and great location. No swim pool though and parking is a bit pricey but hey...it's downtown Seattle. Also, if you eat at the restaurant bar do note they automatically add 20% gratuity for a party of two. I typically do that or more but if you're not paying attention you could be paying more than expected.

Modernized, clean, and the staff were very helpful. We stayed here for a weekend and loved it. The location is just south of the I5 at the top of the downtown hill so you ll have plenty of time to tone your calves if you re walking to all of Seattle s attractions. The room itself was more spacious than we imagined with two lounge chairs and a reading light, and the king bed was extremely comfortable. There were plenty of outlets to plug in devices and the TV was quite large. Didn t have a chance to use the fitness facility but we had a look and it had a lot of options. The location was fantastic as well, it was a few minutes walk to Pioneer Square, Pike Place Market, and is only a block away from Columbia Sky Tower if you want to go to the Observation Deck. The most surprising attraction of the trip may have been the public library across the street from the hotel, the architecture is impressive - go check it out on your way in or out of the hotel.

Very nice rooms and food combined with a great location. The only problem I experienced was when checking in around midnight, there was only one person working the desk and the person who got there before me had a complicated enough request a line started forming due to how long it was taking. Other than that it was great

An average hotel in terms of room quality and other things, but I was a little startled to hear club music blaring upon walking in for check in and construction in the middle of the night. The room looks cleanish at first sight, but a closer look reveals lazy housekeeping.

I ve stayed at other Renaissance properties and this one is probably the worst.

All the staff was very professional and polite. The gym, though a but small, was also very nice and came with complementary headphones and a water station. When asking for directions the attendant at the front desk gave clear and concise instructions which helped us plan our itinerary for the next day.

Where do I start... elevator doors slamming shut right in front of you, overpriced parking fees, lackluster breakfast, M club being under construction without any reasonable replacement in place, incorrect billing (how hard can it be? Doesn't seem that easy as it took three attempts to remove incorrect charges and put the correct billing address in place) und missing points for the stay. Finally, there is 20% service charge in place without enforcing a no tipping policy - coupled with high prices at the bar this is the most childish reaction to the minimum wage increase I've seen. I stay at Marriott properties a lot (currently I am a Titanium member), yet this is the first Marriot property I can not recommend.

The Renaissance Seattle is a very nice hotel with friendly staff. It is very similar to other mid-range Marriott buildings. Location is close to downtown and public transit. Building is very quiet. No complaints and would recommend to anyone looking for accommodations in Seattle.

Really clean, and nice rooms. Bed is comfortable and has everything you expect from a room. Here for PAX so it's a bit far away, but not bad. The view is absolute garbage and the noise from guys doing construction at 3am on the building across the street really sucks.
