Service was subpar. Instead of a medium rare steak I got a well done steak despite the server asking twice how I would like it cooked. I ve never tried a clam chowder I didn t like until trying theirs...seems like they added an extra stick of butter to the pot...it was inedible.

Good food and good service. Located on the golf course. I went there with my 4 year old granddaughter for lunch. We both enjoyed! I ordered the Brisket sandwich and would probably order something different next time just because I wasn't the biggest fan of the Cole slaw on the sandwich but my granddaughter loved her food! Great atmosphere, good music, good, service, and restaurant rating on the door is 'Excellent'!

Like going to this place for HH, but beyond that, they are a little pricey. But you're at a golf course and you get what you pay for, which is great service and food, drinks are mediocre, I stick to beer while I'm there.

Came here for my friend's birthday. The music was terrific but service was nonexistent. Quality of food was low, we were told we couldn't order items on the menu or change items for no reason other than the chef's whim. I got a refund for my awful meal. Nice place to see a show but I don't recommend eating here.

I am not someone to write many reviews but this was such a horrific experience I feel it is necessary to warn you all. It was a very slow Sunday evening and there were less than 10 tables to serve. There were at least 4 waitresses that were working yet it took 30 min before our order was taken. Then it was another 30 min before our food arrived. Not one of the orders was cooked well. It was all so bad if I had given it to someone who was starving they would not have thanked me but threw it in my face because they would think I was trying to make them choke on the overcooked EVERYTHING. The french onion soup was clearly waiting a long time before served to the point where it was basically huge clump of hard cheese and you could not get to the soup. The steak was $36 and was asked to be cooked medium but was so overdone that a lion would have given up on chewing it and left it to decompose in the wild. Then there was the Thai Coconut Chicken (I think that is what it was called) now this was the best thing we got because the vegetables were edible but the chicken was so dry and overdone that it had that dry stringy texture. When we mentioned some of our issues to the waitress and she was extremely rude and back talked when we mentioned the time. We had been there for over an hour when we got our food so we brought it up and she said very rudely "Actually it has only been 30 min, I have it written down right here" now this was the timestamp from when we actually got our order in after over 30 min of being there.

If I could rate RiverRock less I would. Do not go here unless you want unreasonable prices for poorly cooked food with awful service.

Food was ok. Service was, well, there wasn't any. It was difficult to get a drink and the live band was bad. It really wasn't bad but I haven't been back as there are better ways to spend my time and money.

Food was good. Service was not up to par. If you're a "regular," then you were treated well. There was a small crowd, winding down the Easter holiday weekend. Willing to give this establishment another visit to see if it was just the end of the day 'itis :/.

Outdoor seating is great in warm weather. Food is good in dining room. Have had both appetizers and lunch in bar. Food is ok, but prices a bit high for what you get. No lighter side apps for us healthy eaters.

Visiting with family in the Fairview/Renton area, we wanted some place close, with a few choices, and good tasting. The River Rock Grill was awesome! Service was excellent, selection plentiful and our choices perfect! Bacon wrapped prawns on a bed of spinach and salmon with Greek salad were excellent, and just the right amount of food for a lighter dinner. The bar had baseball playoff on and caught the end of the playoff game on our way out. Highly recommend and will plan to go back!

The river rock doesn't recycle. They throw all their glass and cans in the trash. Is that even legal? I have it from a source that works here that they don't care about recycling. Absurd.

Wonderful variety of delicious food that the whole family will love! The staff are wonderful, attentive and the food service is excellent! The restaurant has a great feel to it with beautiful views of the golf course and hills with trees! The setting is tranquil and uplifting all at the same time making it hard to believe it's just a few minutes from 405! In the summer they have a wonderful patio with live music!

The golf course restaurant owner is John Parks and my toxic encounter was with Mr. Parks.

I was sitting down in the back of the River Rock Grill, near the putting green. I was sitting at the patio enjoying the Sunshine and silently judging 1st tee slice shots I was approached by a waitress and she gave me a menu, then I told her that there would a 2nd party joing my table.

I was enjoying my cold diet coke when owner Mr. Parks approached me and abruptly told me that I cannot sit where I was sitting. He told me that there was a party of four that will be taking my table.
I tried reasoning with him that I was settled in, but he wouldn't have it and forced me to another table.

It wasn't long before a party came along and occupied my seat. Wouldn't you know it, it ended up being a party of two.
I moved out to Issaquah from Southington, CT back in 2005 and made a frequent visits here with friends and with one swift moment owner John Parks ruined experience here permanently at River Rock Grill.

I don't know why the owner would treat a loyal customer differently. I don't know what I did to receive such hostile service.

River Rock will not be getting another penny from my pocket.

Okay for dining. Wine good, if overpriced. Food was sort of mediocre. My companions liked theirs, they felt the clam chowder was very delicious. My taco salad was about as bland and unexciting as a flour pie. The beef had zero seasoning and their idea of salsa was unseasoned diced tomatoes. Could have gotten a more favorable meal at any school cafeteria.
Dining outside on the patio was very nice, though.

I took my wife on Valentine's Day as I heard they have a steak and lobster dinner. My wife's lobster was way overcooked so I gave it to the waiter to take back and check out. The waiter came back to tell us they had no more lobster tails, my wife didn't want anything else on the menu so they gave us $15 off the bill.....really? The surf and turf dinner was $43 and the lobster was only worth $15?....not even 50% of the meal? She literally took one single bite from the lobster so it wasn't like she half of it just to say it was overcooked.

I'll just take my and my company's business elsewhere in the future. If if were $25 back, I would have given three stars as I think this would have been fair.

Thanks for ruining Valentine's Day and treating us like our business isn't important!

This restaurant is part of the golf course and food is delicious. There is a bar area with TVs where you can watch sports. They also have a spacious patio with a view on the golf course. Nice place to visit on a warm summer day and have a meal or a drink on the patio.

Great food and excellent service! Located just off of Maple Valley Hwy at the golf course, this place is a wonderful location to to stop in after a round of golf, have an event, or just grab a bite to eat. Bar on site! The food is fabulous and the there is even outdoor seating.

We've been coming here for years because it's convenient and on the way home from work. In the summer the patio is nice and there's live music. They even have a great breakfast and brunch. We always enjoyed the WILD, not farmed salmon. We recently noticed it had changed and confirmed that it was farmed! Seriously. We we're pleased to see they had copper river salmon as a chef's special the last two times, ordered it and was awesome. Worth every penny of the $36 menu price. Please bring back the wild salmon for your normal cedar plank one that's on the menu. They also have an awesome wine list!

Great food. Waited a while for our check, which made us feel kind of ignored. Fair warning for short people, if you like eating with your feet on the floor, get a table rather than a booth. But the food really was great!

Way, way too many people working, with very, very little actual service. Most of the time the employees are talking to each other or rushing around trying to look busy (includes a supervisor swinging his empty serving tray in the air near my husband s head. We had to wait at every. Single. Point. Throughout the meal. Walk in, must wait almost a minute to have someone greet us, though several saw us. No one else did anything to help our server, and she seemed busy, though the restaurant was a little busy but not too much. We also saw our server adjust a floor mat that was awry, and not wash her hands before serving food again. Literally three bartenders plus a manager for about two patrons in the bar. Food was all right, but not exactly as high-brow as the menu pricing. The busboy twirling his wash rag/towel walking about the dining room talking to a manager affirmed that although this place is extremely close to home we will not be back for at least a year.

I was there for my 50th high school reunion, the service was very good and there was quite a crowd, the food for the buffet was excellent, wait staff was attentive without being intrusive, very friendly too, I live quite a way from there, but would love to go back, they did a great job

River Rock Grill & Ale (at Maplewood Golf Course),. Our group of friends has been coming to River Rock Grill for the past 5 years - There's a simple reason, the food and service is top of the line. The staff and management represent the best in customer care and have created a warm and friendly atmosphere. Five stars PLUS!

We went there to celebrate a birthday. Service was horrible. It took almost an hour to receive our food after we ordered. The place wasn't very busy so there was no excuse for the lack of service. The chicken was over cooked so we sent it back. By the time they brought out a new plate everyone was finished with their meals and we ended up having it boxed to go. Didn't even offer compensation for the delays on any of our meals. They even added a gratuity when we were only a party of 6. I will definitely not be recommending or coming back to this restaurant! Over priced for mediocre food.
