WARNING!!!! This hotel fails to honor vouchers from United Airlines when issued. We had been issued a voucher to stay there on July 2nd to the morning of July 3rd. I called and verified with the desk that we were on our way. We arrived about 15 minutes later and was told by "Joy" the employee at the front desk that all rooms were gone and go away, go back to the airport! I informed him that the voucher reserves the room, he said not his problem, go back to the airport. He told us and two other couples the same that came in after us. I would give zero stars if possible.

Great property. I have been here multiple times for business. I will certainly return. Good rooms, good amenities, and good food. Be mindful the hotel is expensive. However, it is adjacent to O Hare and is a Marriott brand property. You get what you pay for.
Great business hotel, rooms are well equipped and clean. However, it could probably use a renovation over the next 5 years if it wants to keep up with the general direction Marriott is taking with their modernization.
Nice all suites hotel. Nicely layed out as a double.l connected single bed room apartment. Airport shuttle runs only every thirty minutes. Starbucks in hotel lobby. Service from staff was quite perky.
In addition to the bar staff adding tips and stealing money from their patrons, it turns out if you are awoken when someone comes into your room uninvited while you are sleeping and steals your purse, the hotel staff will lie and do everything in their power to attack you and call you the liar. True story, someone very close to me stayed here because her corporate office had booked the rooms and woke up to a man looking at her (at 9:00 am mind you) and said are you checking out ? When she realized what was going on, he grabbed her purse and took off. Even though there was proof of someone using her cards within 30 minutes of this and even though her bank called her to verify if she had called and said she was stuck in Chicago and needed money wired, and even though someone took her Victoria s Secret card to the store and bought gift cards that I m assuming they were planning to sell, she was lieing and there was nothing they were going to do different to ensure their guests safety. She was the one lieing.
Stay here at your own risk but make sure you latch your door, check your credit card bill for tips the staff decides to add on without your knowledge and by all means, do not ask security for assistance because frankly, I m pretty sure they are the ones who were in on this theft the whole time. They probably share in the proceeds. How else did this guy get into her room? Why else would they not show the video tape of the person entering her room? Why would they not want to help?
Overall experience was ok. Room safe didn't work initially. Bathroom shower door leaked water on the floor. Pull out sofa bed didn't have linens in the room. Bathroom door lock didn't function on one door. Hotel could use a little maintenance. Staff was polite and helpful.
The hotel is good. I would say that it is not up to speed with some of the Renaissance hotels. Little tired but rooms are nice and large and comfortable. I would stay here again for the right price.
I occasionally swing by the Starbucks in the hotel on my way to the office, and there are never enough people working during the morning rush to keep the line moving. Plus, this location does not accept mobile orders which makes it extra inconvenient to wait in line for wait 8 minutes to purchase some overpriced, mediocre-at-best coffee. I have to admit that it is a prime location between the conference center at the hotel and the adjacent office buildings.
A nice hotel with nice amenities. They don't provide any information for the surrounding area or about where to find anything in the hotel in the rooms. Over all a nice hotel, but nothing to write home about.
Only needed to stay one night but enjoyed the decor and ambience as well as the layout of the rooms a lot. The morning breakfast was delicious for me but my family member was not as impressed and some of the plates were not quite clean.... :/ Overall enjoyable stay for a park and fly, maybe skip the restaurant.
Enjoyed our stay. Rooms are nice size with a big bathroom and shower. Hotel even provided a shuttle bus to the event we were attending at Rosemont, which was a bonus.
My girlfriend and I utilized the Renaissance for their shuttle to O'Hare since I didn't want to have to deal with airport parking. It's reasonably priced and the shuttle runs 24/7.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The service is amazing! I was stuck unexpectedly in Chicago and couldn't find a room anywhere. The gentleman working at the front desk, Joy, went out of his way to ensure I had a safe place to stay without having a reservation. My husband was trying to assist me from afar, and Joy helped ease his mind. He held the room for me until I could get there and we are so grateful! Additionally, the room was beautiful and comfortable. A situation that was horrible ended wonderfully!
Beautiful modern hotel. The bedroom is separate from the living room area and it s furnished with a fridge, coffee station, work desk, and a couch. The bathroom was big and bright and the decor in the room was very appealing. The wallpaper designed with a staircase and window made the room feel spacious. In the lobby, there is a Starbucks to the left of the reception desk, and there are more seats than you could imagine for a hotel lobby. The location of this hotel is also very convenient, with the train situated at the front of the hotel and a Mariano s supermarket across the train tracks.
The reason for a star taken off was the airport shuttle and check in process. After waiting 30 mins for the shuttle at 10:30pm just to have a swarm of people running towards the shuttle when it arrived AND with people not getting on, it was very disappointing. After getting off the shuttle, we were all faced with an enormous line up for check in with only two front desk agents. It is something that needs to be rectified so guests are not disappointed before they even arrive at the hotel.
Very lovely hotel. Has a free shuttle pickup from the airport. Nice amenities, nice location right outside of the city. Helpful staff. Good food at the bar.
An interesting place for certain. I wouldn't recommend it as a place to get work done in the coffee shop or to meet up with colleagues, but it looks like a fun place to stay with a very neat aesthetic
Renaissance is truly a experience hotel. A wonderful lobby with open concept bar looking out into it. I like the visual stimulation this hotel brings... But parking is a bit rough on the wallet. Very close to business park that has all sorts of big brands.
Loved the decor. The room is very comfortable with a nice sitting area. Very convenient to the train and airport. Unfortunately, they have no wifi in the rooms. You must sit in the lobby. Terrible customer service. Housekeeping wouldn't clean if you weren't in the room. Service desk double charged the week in advance and wouldn't remedy the problem unless we came back to the hotel to see the manager in person. We had already gone into downtown for the aquarium, planetarium and museum; manager never even apologized for making the mistake or the inconvenience. Won't stay here again. Hospitality goes a long way.
The hotel itself is great, great staff, great rooms, quiet, decent restaurant. And the location is pretty good, to, close to the airport and northwest suburbs but also within a short walk of an L station to go into the city.
20 mins shuttle ride from Chicago O'Hare Airport, high class spacious suite with excellent bed for a great overnight experience. Room service is pretty expensive
From the shuttle pick up area, the hotel was about a 10-15 min drive. The lobby area was very nice and they handed out mint chocolates. We had a last minute flight cancellation and the hotel was very accommodating without being overly expensive. The room was a suite style. Slightly on the smaller side for a suite. The TVs were extremely small and with limited channels. you can tell this is where they cheaped out. Bathroom was very large and clean with nice amenities. Shuttles ran every 30 min to the airport, which was extremely helpful.
I really enjoyed my two nights at the Renaissance hotel. Its a beautiful hotel with amazing rooms. The bed was awesome I slept good! I enjoyed the view from the 9th floor. The staff was all really nice and helpful. The price was one of the cheapest in the area. For the quality and location it's an outstanding deal. There is a Starbucks onsite thats opens at 6:30 AM but they close early. It was a quick walk to the El station and a 30-45 minute ride downtown (Cumberland station blue line.) There's not a lot of options for food within walking distance minus the restaurant in the hotel (which I did not try.) Some of the pizza places around Rosemont will deliver to the hotel.
The cell service is somewhat bad in the hotel so you may have to stand by the window or even go outside to use your phone. The whole TV situation was poor. There's no channel guide on the TV or even a flyer to show the channel guide. So to watch TV you have to channel surf. Plus some channels had a bad reception and would freeze and cutout. Honestly though my biggest complaint was the expensive parking. It's $30 a night! Also keep in mind you must take the pass you receive from the machine to the front desk. It's a nice parking garage directly next to the hotel. Be carful some of the spots are marked for the office building next door.
Edit: I just discovered on my charge card there are several additional charges from the Renaissance Hotel. All of them are between $3.00-$5.00. I'm not sure what all these charges are? They were not on my invoice.
We were promised free wifi and never got it and then at about 1AM we were all chatting in our room and the police showed up saying we will have to leave if we don't go to bed soon. I didn't know watching a movie and chatting was too much of a party
Only stopped by to meet a hotel guest for dinner at the new resturant. The steak salad was delicious and the cheesecake was fantastic. Would definitely go back!
Great hotel--but I don't think I'll go back. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff at the "R Bar" were fantastic (and the bar food was actually pretty good!) The lobby is stylish. It's an easy walk to the train. It's pretty much everything you could want in a mid/business-level hotel.
However, they nickel and dime you on everything--and I mean EVERYTHING. In this day and age, there is no excuse for charging $13/day for internet access in your room. There is no justification for charging your guests $24/day to park (it's not like the hotel is downtown or in an area where parking is a premium). There's no justification to charge $10 for printing five black and white pages at the business center. $4 for a small bottle of water? Seriously? And of course there's no complimentary continental breakfast.
Again, the facilities themselves were great--not a single complaint there. But the extra charges were excessive.
EDIT: I just got off the phone with the hotel staff. I left a shirt there, and they wanted $25 dollar to mail it back to me. That's not a typo. Twenty five dollars. Even from 600 miles away they squeeze every last dime they can get out of you.
I really liked this hotel because our room was amazing and the hotel restaurant had fantastic food. However, I can't give it 5 stars because their concierge lounge wasn't very good at all. In fact, we are going back to Chicago soon and are staying close by at a different Marriott with average rooms simply because their concierge is so much better!
Clean rooms and great room service. The location is a bit confusing to find, but the quietness of the property made up for it. I thought I'd hear obnoxiously loud her engines all night, but no. They were only moderately loud.
Nice staff easy check in/out, the room was clean and the beds were so comfortable. The pool area was nice and they were playing movies for the kids I'd definitely stay here again I really enjoyed it
