The municipality checks whether bicycles are being used by placing stripes on bicycle tires. And if not, they are cut and removed. In doing so, the municipality does not take into account the fact that people have to stay at home or may even be ill for a long time because of COVID. I estimate that a lot of people are being duped by this.

On July 2, I submitted an application for the placement of extra bicycle racks. After 3 weeks, they started breaking up parking spaces and then pouring sand to place paving stones. According to the posted sign it should be ready by July 30th. This job was not worked on for 3 weeks. It is now mid-August, the paving stones are still not there and the bicycle rack is still not there. When will it be finished?

The review probably helped because the bicycle racks were finally placed not much later. And immediately these were taken into use by many with thanks.

terrible - comes to apply for a driver's license in week 1 - is told that everything has worked out. Then in week 2 you will be told "sorry the request was never made and you should have checked better" Mrs. behind the counter was "not the one who made this mistake and was it my fault?" The only plus points were the guards who could think along. Incompetent the employees.

I registered there, they have me a document signed and stamped by them stating that. Months later I had problems with the tax office because I was officially not registered. I went to the gemeente with the document signed by themselves and they didn't care they made me register again. No one know how anything works and no one there is willing to help, on the contrary, they seem to enjoy abusing from the ridiculous power that they have being the ones signing the papers.

I've been to this office a number of times to request a parking permit, exchange my drivers license, and other reasons I can't remember right now. I am just beginning to learn Dutch, but just about everyone there can help you in English. There's usually a line, but you just take a number and your turn will come up soon enough. They have plenty of desks where they can help you, so your wait usually won't be too long. Unlike in some other countries, this government office is efficient and effective. They are well informed and friendly.

Extremely long waiting times at any time of the day. In which at least half of desks no one is helped while there is a desk employee behind it.
Passport photo was almost not approved because it was the same photo as 2 years ago ...

Yesterday at 5 p.m. Very busy people were standing and sitting on the floor .. according to security you better be here in the morning .. New attempt, today I was there at 8.45 .. waiting time 60-90 min luckily had something to read with it. After n hours it was said that the passport and driving license system was out. But left again .. really need a new driver's license! Why isn't more staff deployed here?

Shameful organisation.

Intentional incompetence always to financial disadvantage you instead of them - always creating an avalanche of unnecessary paperwork to grind you and steal your money.

I've lived in this town a long time and the gemeente Amsterdam is a total disgrace, having no one in place at all would be better!

After all the horror stories of terrible guards and long waiting times, I was really looking forward to going there. But when we were there for a few minutes about 8, there were 3 people at the desk and the next we were. So we waited 3 minutes. You have to get out of bed early, but then you have something too. The guard was also very cheerful and polite. Small minus at one point there were two desk assistants whispering to each other. Then you ask, you wonder if they are talking about you.

Just got out over an hour to renew my passport. Unfortunately: the waiting time got longer every 15 minutes. From 30 min. To 90 minutes> cause: when I got there there were still 5 people behind the counter. Half an hour later, there was one desk clerk with a customer who was busy for 20 minutes. Unbelievable that there are no more counter staff present. The hall was packed. It will only be a real company, they would have been bankrupt for a long time! Do something about it !
The doormen can apologize for this, but what good is it for the citizens. Very annoying!

What an idiotic pathetic security guard. We were waiting to collect our ID. "You can not stand here" so we went further down "You can not stand here" There is nothing more or less that brainless being. My daughter became so angry at one point that she said "Of course you can also specify where we may be" Then we were almost expelled. Obviously a super frustrated male who has nothing to say at home so his masculinity must prevail over people who have to be at the district office.
