Tucked away with several large office buildings alongside I-90 and just minutes away from O'Hare airport, this Renaissance hotel was well worth the Marriott points I redeemed for the stay. My room was spacious and comfortable. We did have a problem with our refrigerator at first. We called and maintenance was up right away to fix it. The tvs have those bypass boxes that limit your ability to control inputs, settings, etc. It is easily disabled by unplugging it from the TV (the plug is very similar to a phone jack). Unplugging it disables the remote but allows for more control using the buttons on the TV. Parking costs a $30 a night which is pretty steep. I didn't mind as much as I would have if I paid for my stay. The best part of the hotel is undoubtedly its proximity to the Cumberland station on the blue line of the "L." You can walk there through the parking lot without crossing any streets.

Very nice room, great shower. View wasn't great. Dinner at Asado's was ok, nothing exceptional. Shuttle drivers were not the most friendly in the world. Very convenient for anything at US Cellular plaza

They took the coffee out of the rooms and stop having complimentary coffee at 5am in the lobby. I asked the front desk if there was any complimentary coffee at all in the hotel or if I could take back the coffee machine they took from the rooms and make my own, the front desk said no. Essentially, they force you to buy Starbucks coffee in their lobby if you want coffee after 5am. I said no. Very disappointed in the front desk and management's customer service in this.

The atmosphere here deserves 5 stars alone. The only con to this place is that the Starbucks here doesn't do Starbucks Rewards so you won't be getting those promo points on your morning coffee, but otherwise, this is where the lay over stays when its in town lol

Extremely rude front desk people which doesn't undersand anything about guest service.
They charged other guest purchase from my credit card, Im still waiting refund but even marriot customer care is refusing to refund.
After 11pm all you can get to eat is old dry bread or salad from the gift shop. Drinking water 4$/0.5l.
I recommend to try other hotels around.
This was definitely my last stay at this hotel.

Usually "suites" branded hotels are a little dated and feel kind of on the cheap side but this one is very modern and has spacious rooms with nice amenities. The sundries shop by the front desk is VERY expensive compared to any other I've ever seen. Get your drinks and snacks elsewhere if you can. The room service breakfast is pretty decent though has typical hotel room service prices. This hotel is very close to and accessible by the CTA blue line though there isn't a clean sidewalk link so you'll have to cut through some grass.

It was nice. Bathroom door was broken they over charged for parking and the iron was broken. They did fix it the door while we were gone, but to many problems went wrong for a four star hotel. Not sure if I will stay there again.

Lovely stay at the Renaissance Chicago Suites. Daniela from Front Desk was really kind and helpful. Hotel has a little convenience store by the front desk. There's a Starbucks and restaurant, a sauna, pool and fitness center. Room, as you can see, was beautiful and spacious. Especially the bathroom. But there was no robe in the room however I ask for one and they provided me with one very quickly. The coffee machine wasn't the best but managed to make it work. There's a fridge but no microwave in the room. And if you order food, you'll have to go to the 1st floor and get your delivery yourself (which I thought was rediculous). The Hotel have a policy about that so you'll have no choice but to abide by it. One of the main reasons why I'm giving it a 4starts and not a 5.

Great staff, nicely appointed rooms in the Renaissance standards. Only downside is the rooms are a bit small but not overly so. Would definitely stay there again.

This Renaissance hotel is one of the nicest I personally have stayed in for the money. The service was top notch and I love the decor and little details the staff has obviously put into making it a friendly, hospitable, and welcoming comfort of a hotel. It is known to be a "business hotel" and gets many weekday guests from the white collar sector. I actually happen to be familiar with this place mostly because... It's where I had my wedding reception this last December! My wife and I fell in love with the Renaissance when we visited earlier, and knew we had to go with it for our venue. Pricing was reasonable, catering was amazingly scrumptious and our wedding guests showered us with regards for the food and the venue itself in general. Katy Taylor was amazing to work with. Highly recommended.

To call that a hotel room doesn't do it justice. More like a 1bd 1ba apartment. 1 of the nicest bookings ever. This should have been more than 4 star. What a value. Anyone not giving this 5 stars needs to go to the doctor.

It was a beautiful hotel and very comfortable! The beds were very cozy, same with the blankets. I would've rated it 5 stars but we never got housekeeping and were gone for about 9 hours. I was a little irked by that. The toilet also made a loud screeching sound when flushed so that was odd. It was overall a wonderful experience though and they serve hot chocolate at the front desk after 3pm and it is delicioussss! Definitely would return at the next opportunity!

I don't have any frustration against any of the staff in particular, this truly seems to be a result of poor systems put in place by management. Other than what I am describing here , my stay was really quite nice and the facilities were clean, but my time is too valuable to deal with these issues with reservations and billing again:
I had an initial reservation for one night paid on a company card and we later decided to arrive a day earlier for personal time in the city. The online reservations wouldn't allow me to make any changes to my reservation (even thought the changes were to add a night and there was obviously available rooms). So I had to call reservations and they were able to assist me with adding on a night; however when the confirmation came, it showed a separate confirmation number, so I had what appeared to be two different reservations each for one night rather than one for two nights. Well I certainly don't want to deal with changing rooms in the middle of my stay. I called again to verify and reservations informed that there was nothing they could do for me. Then I called the hotel itself, where the staff instructed me to cancel my reservation for the added night, and that they would add a night on their end. I was informed that for the first night that was added, I would be charged the daily rate upon arrival. I was told that they wouldn't be able to send a confirmation with the updates, so I basically had to wait and hope that nothing further would be messed up.
Upon check-in, both my partner and I struggled to understand what the staff was saying to us and we had to ask her to repeat herself several times. I'm not sure if there was background noise or if it's that she wasn't speaking clearly. She took my credit card, but never informed me of the daily rate to be charged. I wasn't super concerned since I checked the daily rate online on the day I arrived and was comfortable with the price. I did not receive an invoice upon check-out neither on paper nor via E-mail and had to call later to get a copy.
When I finally received the invoice, I saw that the company card had been charged for both nights (rather than the first night to my personal card and the second to the company card as requested). In addition, I was over charged for the first night. The daily rate should have been somewhere in the ballpark of $140 plus taxes and fees, which was listed online. I had conversations with accounting on two different occasions and then was forwarded to someone else who was telling me that the daily rate was nearly $200. Unfortunately, I did not save a screenshot of the daily rate, but I did have a copy of the reservation for that first night which was cancelled, so he was able to honor that rate, which was $149 plus taxes and fees. So I was able to get close to the price that it was supposed to be, but I wasted a ton of my valuable time trying to figure all of this out.

I had the pleasure of dj-ing at this beautiful venue this past Sat. The staff and food were stellar! I have to put the wedding manager...Steve Mahoney on spotlight as he was just the absolute best to work with! What really impressed me about Steve was not only his professionalism but his behind the scenes actions as well. I get there early and get to see how management interacts with employees. I witnessed Steve overseeing a pre-wedding meeting with his staff. He was so warm and friendly with all of his staff. I could tell the staff liked and highly respected him. I was really impressed with his management style.

Convenient location
I don't know of many who like O'Hare. Busy, long wait times. It's the only reason for staying so close to the airport.
My choice of Renaissance was only on the basis I assumed the worst, and stayed as close to the airport as possible. I thought I would pay the price of being so far from Chicago's downtown but I couldn't help it on my two night, late arrival, quick trip.
In the end the location of the airport to Cumberland railway station proved ideal.
Although I did catch a taxi to the hotel, they provided a shuttle bus and for the train lovers, the train was able to connect to the airport if required.
However Cumberland to downtown Chicago proved both easy and cheap. The trains are regular and 24/7 in service.
The hotel itself was excellent for an airport hotel.
The room was well sized, in particular the bathroom and shower. The layout was set up with table, perfect for the business traveller.
Overall an excellent airport hotel.

I love this hotel. Good parking. Clean up to date rooms. They upgraded me to the top floor next to the concierge lounge without me having to ask. Good conference room set up. I was there for a large training. Good Good provided for the training and in the concierge lounge. Starbucks in hotel too.

Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. Stylish lobby and shared spaces. My room had a big bathroom and closet. Comfortable living space with couch. Weird set up with TV in the center of the room, swiveling between sitting and sleeping areas.
The bed was uncomfortable.
Room service coffee was over roasted and objectionable

I m writing this review while getting my things together to leave. I checked in pretty late so I didn t see what I seen till the morning & let me tell it was pretty disgusting, the entire (I m not exaggerating) head board of the bed is splattered in a white substance, (it s also on the wall) I can only imagine what it is. The shower head looked so gross, the desk in the room had old coffee spills on it, dusty lamps. Considering the lazy maid work with simple wipe downs, I doubt they changed the sheets. Won t be staying here again due to cleanliness.
If I could post pictures I would smh...

I struggle with this hotel. I want to like it. I want to come back. Location is great, very short walk direct to the eL. That's a plus. Rooms are spacious. Bathroom amenities are quality products. Hotel in general is sharp looking.
But too many cons to have me return. The staff is abrupt. Every time, its like I'm a bother to them for bringing my business/stay here, and its a hassle for them to check me in. I don't have special requests, just literally want to check in, get my key cards, and go to my room - but the front desk seems to be bothered by guests checking in (FYI, that's what a front desk is for, checking in guests, no??). This has happened on a few occasions, not just a one-off.
And the parking rates are absurd. Its not worth the price. Until they lower their parking rates to something even slightly reasonable, I won't be returning. There are plenty of choices near O'Hare. Stay somewhere where they have low/free parking, and they actually value your business, not see you as a burden.

Hmmm it isn t the Hilton attaches to the airport. It is a little dated. Nothing around. The rooms are fine and luxury. The TVs def need an upgrade. You are near the train. Not much more you can say if you need to stay near airport.

This hotel has a problem that I hope is addressed . Check in took 25 minutes. Also there was a problem with diversity and how minorities are treated.
The man who was in front of me was treated poorly . Then the only difference in treatment was based on color. I never raised my voice but this hotel really let me down..
The room I was in had broken furniture and desk that was not usable.
It also took a week for the manager to speak with me .
The front desk manager was shown my room and apologized over and over again.
This hotel really needs to work on what s acceptable and should fix their rooms..

Rooms were very nice, my only complaint was that my king suite on the concierge lounge floor did not have a tube, just a shower but a very nice one. Staff was very nice, and go the extra step for guests. there was a woman making omelets for breakfast on Sunday morning that made the best omelets ever. Hotel shuttle to the airport is convenient.
