Had a oil change and tire rotation and everything went well. TJ was very helpful. Have a few items that need doing so will be bringing it back to complete those next month.

I had a great experience at Rays Chevrolet I bought a 2014 Sonic LT, Tony Jensen went out of his way to make the deal work. Ray Scarpelli also was able to help work with the banks to help get the financing and price I could afford. I've been a Rays customer for 24 Years - My family has also. Since 2013 we have bought 4 cars from Ray Chevy. Last weekend we bought our 4th car and the last 2 cars we bought from Arnold. It was a 2019 Equinox Black Redline Edition. He's great. Very knowledgeable and honest, which is nice that he's someone you can trust. We are not local to the dealership at all it's about a 45-50 minute drive from our home. Yet we buy and 100% service our vehicle's here even just a simple oil change gets done at Ray Chevy....nowhere else...and we only see Luis in the service department. He's great and doesn't sell you repairs you do not need. If a few repairs are needed he'll even tell you what you can wait to spread out the repair bills if you need to do that. Also he gives you a heads up on future repairs so you're not surprised later down the road. Our first Chevy that we bought for our daughters first high school car was not bought at Ray, it was local to us. The car was not even a year old with only 6,000 miles on it and my local dealer said it needed about $800 in "basic maintenance". I called Ray Chevy because we had just bought our second Chevy (1st Chevy from Ray) and Ray Chevy service department doesn't do that to their customers. I was told the maintenance was not needed at all and I was being taken advantage of. Ray Chevy has plenty of business that don't need to make up repairs to get the sales. They suggest maintenance items and repairs that are needed. I will definitely go to Ray for all my Chevy car sales, maintenance and repairs. Nowhere else. Keep up the great work and service Arnold and Luis as well as the rest of the Ray team.

My wife and I decided to go car shopping on Memorial Day, just to see what was available. We were looking for a reliable update for her daily commute. She researched online, reached out to many dealerships and was ready to buy. I just read online about Ray Chevrolet in Fox Lake getting awards and I suggested it first. We meet with Ed Dembski, and he listened to everything my wife was looking for, showed her the vehicle she resesrched online and rode with us on the test drive. After deciding that wasn't the car for us, Ed suggested a better vehicle that was still in our price range. Our credit wasn't the best but Ed found away to make it work and still stay within our budget. Thank you Ed for being resilient and helpful us drive home in a car we enjoy and most importantly we can afford.

We were looking for a pre owned vehicle for our daughter who's getting her license next month. The safety rating of the chevy equinox brought us into Rays, and Dennis Lazara had us leaving with one. Dennis was wonderful to work with. He was very knowledgeable of the product and able to answer all of our questions. He was attentive, patient, and accommodating. We did not feel pressured into making a purchase. Buying a car can often be an unpleasant experience, but from start to finish, it was a pleasure working with Dennis and the dealership.

When I arrived at the dealership I was not expecting to drive off the lot with a new car. I was basically on a fact-finding mission. I was concerned that the car that I had been looking at on-line would be too small for me to fit comfortably in the cabin of the car.

Imagine my surprise when my sales rep, Tony Jensen, suggested that I look at a Sonic. My initial thought was that he was a bit left of center because I had just determined that the Cruze was not going to meet my needs....how on earth would a Sonic be a better fit! After some coaxing, Tony was able to convince me to "just sit in one, you'll be surprised". Well I sat in one and was totally taken aback at how roomy this car was! I even said to Tony, "You can knock me over with feather" at how roomy this little car was.

Long story short, I drove off the lot that same day in a 2015 Sonic hatchback. I've had the car a week now, and I just love it!

They certainly move a lot of cars here. A little upset that we got the run around getting a minor service scheduled and it wasn't repaired the first time. A loaner was provided for the second drop off, and the fix was completed.

This review is for the service department! I bought my 2018 Chevy Trax from here in 2018. I have only brought my vehicle here for maintenance and oil changes. My most previous oil change was a complete disappointment. My oil drain plug was completely stripped and stuck, my oil filter cap was tightened so hard that it cracked in pieces & I was way overcharged for the oil change. When I asked the reasoning? the lady working said Unfortunately the price of oil changes went up . On top of that I had to replace both (oil drain plug & the oil filter cap) after the fact. Not the service I would expect from a mechanic at Ray Chevrolet! I will not be bringing my vehicle back. Too much money down the drain for that type of work! Disappointing.

I just purchased my second vehicle from Ray Chevrolet. I worked with Ray Scarpelli Jr. and he took excellent care of me. Ray spent the time with me to answer all of my questions and concerns and I never felt pressured.
The day after I got the vehicle home, I noticed a couple of issues. I contacted them and Manager George Gigovski told me to bring the truck back in and they would take care of my issues. He wanted me to be happy with my purchase.
I brought it back that night and Service Advisor Rob Chavez took it in and gave me a loaner to use while they worked on it. I picked it back up the next day and everything was taken care of and repaired.
I am extremely happy with every aspect of my experience from the minute I stepped in the door at Ray Chevrolet. Everyone there treats you like you are part of the family.
If you are looking to purchase another vehicle, I would highly recommend Ray Chevrolet.

Terrible. Vehicle was in for a warranty claim. The "very professional" technicians removed certain things in order to do the job and scratched the windshield in multiple spots. The vehicle was returned dirty inside and out.

Ive been dealing with Greg Kloczkowski for sometime. He's helped me out so much with everything i need. Greg went out of his way to help me out, even knowing i have no credit or co-signer. Pushy sales people. Deals not that great. Major issue was while waiting for service work a salesperson asked if I was interested in a new car. No I said since I was not working at that time but am now happily. He said no problem....we can get you in a new car even with no job !! I was shocked a person and even a bank would do that when one is/was out of work. Very sad to do that tactic.

Great team at Ray Chevrolet, but I must single out Ryan Borke and also Alisa, as they were so great in helping me with my purchase! I was flying in from out of town to purchase a corvette. Ryan answered all my questions, took additional pictures for me, and even came to pick us up from the airport. Absolutely ask to speak with Alisa or Ryan, and know you'll be taken care of like family.

I had gone to to this service years ago and purchased a vehicle and now it was time for me to get a brand new and I got it. I am very pleased with this dealer that done a wonderful time and very friendly. As I am deaf, this dealer were willing to write down if I don't understand that is what deaf people need as to communicate each other. I recommended to this service if looking for any Chevrolet vehicles.

I would like to take this time to tell you how good my experiment was with Adam Walker at ray chevy in Fox Lake. As everyone now that buying a car can be a big pain. When working with Adam Walker he made it very easy and not pressured at all. He took the time to show use the difference between the colorado and Silverado. We took home the Silverado. My family will have many years of happy driving.

I always go to this dealership for my oil changes. I have never gone anywhere else since 4/2017 since I got my car brand new. The other day the receptionist was a little snippy when I asked her about a loaner. The receptionist could have politely said she doesn't handle loaners but instead said it loud and snippy and was like "you need to go out there and talk to them, I don't deal with that and I can't help you with that. That has nothing to do with me"

My experience is always positive when I get the right person. I have learned to only ask for Chris Freibauer because he's the only one whom hasn't lied to me & gives exceptional service with a smile. He isn't pushy & always gives me the truth about my vehicle. He deserves recognition for his honesty for sure because so many lie to make more money & make themselves look good. My experience with Chevy goes back a long way starting with a 1957 2-door Bel Air or my 1970 Chevelle, I have always been a fan of Chevy and very happy to be the owner of a 2015 Tahoe!

When I arrived at the dealership on the 1st of November I was really unsure about what I wanted to do regarding my trade ins, the type of truck (used / new) I wanted to purchase or what I wanted to spend.

Having an opportunity to talk thru a number of options I started to get focused on what vehicle I wanted to purchase only to be told the vehicle selected didnt have the appropriate tow package requiring us to start the search again.

Tony Jensen kept working the deal and was very supportive throughout the process as was the manager George Gigovski. Although I have purchased a number of vehicles in the past, I have never appreciated or enjoyed the car buying experience and approach it as a necessary evil . Working with Tony and George changed that view as they were straight forward and extremely helpful from the time I arrived thru the time I left with my brand new 2015 Tahoe.

My previous car buying experience usually had not improved with finance managers as they are always geared at making the most for the dealership and I have always been focused on driving to the best deal so the trust was really never there. That was then, this is now David Cooper was great to work with, came across as trustworthy and I felt that he was working with me to achieve my objectives, thanks David.

Took my Sonic to Ray for an oil change. Kyle Miller was courteous and efficient in coordinating my service. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

2 weeks after buying car and having car - said I need a cosigner or to return the car for my trade in. Had to refinance.

Last week got a call from the bank asking about details of the car. Turns out they priced it with a sun roof and it does not have one. Had to refinance again. I wonder if the bank never called what would have happened.

Monday gave them a check and told them I would let them know when to cash it. They cashed it with no direction from myself to do so and the check bounced.

One thing after another, never heard an apology from anyone for all the trouble. Just excuses!!

To top it off, 2 people at my work had horrible experiences as well. Should have listened to them, never going back!!!

Ask for Guillermo Ruiz. Tell him what you want. He'll tell you what he can do for you, which is what you want to put it simply. Guillermo a.ka. "Will" will then do what he says he's going to do. That is, to take care of you and get you in the car that you want. The salesmen work together here, it is not a contest like at other dealerships. I first met Ed when I first came here, he's a great guy too! He was too busy when we were ready to buy the first time and he referred us to Will. You know a place is this good because it starts with ownership & management. Ray will always have the best pricing and the friendliest managers that care about doing what's right. THEY DO WHAT THEY TELL YOU THEYRE GOING TO DO AND THEY LISTEN TO WHAT YOU WANT. My wife and I both experienced this a couple of times with Ray. That is why we won't go elsewhere. Let's face it people, all dealerships have cars, but not all have low-pressure friendly salesmen and managers that care just as much about their employees as what car you want, and it shows. We won't go anywhere else for life. I expect to buy at least 10 more cars from Ray in my Lifetime. They also have a great selection, very good and professional finance guys that get you a competitive rate and maintenance package... oh and did I mention pricing that I'm willing to bet you won't see elsewhere!!!? Try it...

I bought a Chrysler 2012 Touring from Ray's Chevrolet in Jan 2016. For me, making a car purchase was a very big step as a single mother on a limited income. The sales itself with Will went very smooth but the service following the sale was phenomenal.
The check engine light kept coming on and Steve Eckhardt handled the issue with a commendable attitude. Never once did he make me feel like I was the problem. Never once did he roll his eyes at my presence or make me feel like I was a nuisance. They stood behind their sale 100% and did not stop until the issue was corrected.

I bought my Chevy Cruze here 5 yrs ago. I moved to Florida 4 yrs ago, and was back in Illinois to visit family during my evacuation for Hurricane Irma. With 1 month left on the warranty, the car began to overheat so I brought it it.
Rob Chavez in service was very kind and helpful. He gave me a free loaner as promised by my warranty, and asked if they could keep the car long enough to do a thorough check so anything else that might need attention could be repaired to ensure a safe 2 day trip home.
Besides the coolant leak, transmission and oil leaks were found and repaired. Thank you Rob for helping me get get the most out of the warranty I paid for, and for taking the time to be sure the car was safe for the long drive home.
