This has been by far the next experience I have ever had at a dealership, buying a car is stressful enough but Arnold walked me through the entire process, he was patient and answered all of my questions. First time customers of Ray Chevrolet after they were recommended by a friend. We went in for service on our 2007 Honda Accord, after getting poor service at a repair shop near our home. We spoke with Rob Chavez and he took the time to walk us through the repair options. We didn't feel rushed or pressured into making a repair descision. With regard to the repair itself we feel confident that the repair was done correctly and that we made a well informed decision based on Rob's recommendation.
The prices are comparable to other repair shops in the area but its the customer service that we received that will keep us going back.

Tony Jensen was amazing made me feel right at home and helped my every need. Best sales rep I've ever met.

Not many dealerships are like this one. Although i did schedule an appointment it was actually a first were i was not getting rushed by sales representatives the moment i pulled into the lot. This is usually a reason many turn away from dealers. Tim being helpful and informative definitely being fairly new, I was glad i was able to do business and seal a deal. Keith Ragusa was the gentleman who helped my wife and I find a perfect match for our needs and budget! We had come in to test drive a 2007 Equinox, that was on the lower end of the price spectrum. Keith greeted us and immediately offered to get the car for us to test drive. The interior was clean, and the car looked great even though it was a new arrival for the used car lot, and needed a few more detail-orientated touch ups (he let us know before we even approached the vehicle the foregoing).

While driving around, he asked us a few questions and suggested that he runs a credit analysis to see what kind of vehicles would fall within our budget, price range, and can be financed (we were needing to finance regardless). After the score check, which was quick and painless, he came back with a suggestion after hearing about our needs and situation. Keith suggested a "short-term finance", or a lease, since we were looking for a home, and trying to start a family.

I had never thought about a lease for us before, but decided that it wouldn't hurt to test out the vehicle anyways, which is a 2015 Chevy Trax LS. Due to my condition, my wife would be driving the vehicle, overall, more than I would, so i trusted her to test drive it and give me her feedback. Everything went well, and my wife was falling in love with it (happy wife, happy life, right?).

We told Keith that we want to see what figures would be offered or agreed upon for the vehicle, and what the lease covers. In front of, we input our average gas costs with he older truck that I had at the time, the maintenance costs, and the costs typically set aside for repairs on non-new vehicles. After crunching the numbers, the lease made more sense in our current situation, and the option to purchase the vehicle at the the lower price point at the end of the lease is also very attractive. We eventually agreed on terms to meet our budget exactly, AND we have a BRAND NEW CAR! It was a demo model, which had about 2,500 miles on it, but that is a drop in a bucket!

Years ago, with my credit issues growing up (which I have turned around to 720+ credit score) I never thought I would be able to get a BRAND NEW car, nor be able to get a relatively new car, without having to buy it outright. Thanks to Keith, and his team at Ray Chevrolet, he made that happen!

The ONLY negative (and it's not really a negative) did not have anything to do with Keith. The sales manager person, whom we met while waiting for the finance guy and the detailing, was a little TOO pushy with the "Protector" and the fabric/interior care packages. However, having worked in sales, if you don't ask for it, you won't get it.

I did feel bad for Keith as they were exceptionally busy that evening, he ended up with us for five hours!

I will recommend Keith Ragusa in the future, as well as Ray Chevy as a whole. They did right by, and an extremely good deal for my parents years ago with their Tahoe purchase. I am glad to give them my business as a second generation to receive such great service!

I found the vehicle I wanted, but it was about an hour and a half away from the City at Ray Chevrolet in Fox Lake. I reached out via email and corresponded with George Z and William R, who ultimately worked with me on the purchase price and interest rate to make sure that if I made the trip there I knew exactly where I would be if I purchased the car. When I arrived the car was ready to test drive, extremely clean and ready to go. I decided to purchase and the numbers were exactly what they told me they would be. George had all the paperwork ready to go and made the process quick and easy. He was also very knowledgeable and thorough in going through different features of the car. I also had a member of the tech team sit down with me in the car to make sure I knew how to use all of those features. What can sometimes be a daunting experience was painless, and I'm very please with my purchase thus far.

We went in to buy a specific 2020 Equinox, but it had already been sold earlier that morning. Ed Dembski and the manager was able to locate another one similar to what I wanted and had it brought to me the same day. During this time, my husband bought a 2020 Trailboss as well. Even though we spent 6 hours for the entire process, it was worth it. Ed even drove back with us to another town and picked up my husband's truck for trade-in! We went to rays chevy in fox lake. I really wasn't planning on buying a vehicle but we did our sales person was Dennis which was very helpful knowledgeable and what a nice guy. Now I've bought a car from there four an a half years ago which was also exciting and a good experience but when it's time to go back in a couple years and trade in the vehicle we got to get a new one I would definitely want Dennis to be my sales person. Dennis great job hope you're still there when we need to go back wouldn't want anyone else to help us out in this wonderful experience in our life .

I had a great experience at Ray Chevy Rich Gniadek was extremely patient and helpful. It took a long time as I was pushing hard to get a great deal and in the end I was able to get a certified 2013 Chevy Malibu with 27K miles for $14,500. The only problem I had was when I came to pick up the car (I finished the deal at 9PM so it had to be cleaned) there were still items in the glove box and the inside was not as clean as I had expected. Rich offered to have the car detailed and by the time the detailing was done the car looked better then the new cars on the lot.

Best car dealer around. This is the place to get your next new car. Ask for Tony in sales.

Overall it was a good experience. Tony Jensen was a great salesman, low pressure, prompt to answer questions and overall a good guy. However the value Ray's offered me for my car was terrible. They offered me less than half of the Kelly's Blue Book Value.

I have been shopping for a new car for months-close to a year! I knew I had to start looking outside of my small town of Lake Geneva. Growing up in Johnsburg, Ray Chevrolet came to mind. So, I pulled up their site and instantly found numerous cars I would be interested in. That peeked my interest so I started getting super technical in what I really wanted but not necessarily needed. Within minutes I found EXACTLY what I had been looking for. Not only was it what I was looking for, but the price was crazy awesome. I set up an appointment that night and came in today for a test drive. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was so nice as I walked through the showroom. After checking in, I was handed off to Edwin. I honestly can't even say enough of how great he was. It was like sitting down and chatting with a friend I had not seen in years. Not only was he personable, but he was very knowledgeable in his job. We worked out payments I would be comfortable with and I was on my way. I brought one of our company vehicles to Ray Chevrolet to address an issue with grinding brakes. I was quickly helped by a service representative named Jessica, who had a technician assess and identify the problem. In very little time Jessica contacted me with the assessment and made arrangements for the work to be completed. The repairs were started right away during which time an additional issue was, fortunately, identified and addressed as well.

While the company vehicle was being repaired, my wife s vehicle suddenly began leaking fluid. I called Jessica for assistance and she promptly made arrangements to have my wife s car towed from Island Lake to the service center. The problem was identified as the water pump and repairs were completed quickly and efficiently. In addition, Jessica took the time to manage getting the necessary repairs covered by the extended warranty on my wife s vehicle. Throughout the process, Tom in the parts department made sure the parts needed were available for both vehicles.

A courtesy shuttle was provided for us to pick up the vehicles and we were out the door by the afternoon of the same day!

What a terrific team Jessica, her service techs, and Tom in the parts department make! They provided a seamless, efficient, high quality professional experience and I couldn t be more satisfied. They provided an example of what service truly means.

Quick buying experience. I had an appointment with Rupe and came in with an online ad, Ray had the vehicle and Oliver beat the advertised price. Done deal in less than an hour. The CS manager explained the added features of buying from Ray and assisted with tinting the windows. Picked up the vehicle a couple days later, with tint, and was gone in 15 minutes. The only downside is I didn't get to know the fine people I worked with better!

I've dealt with quite a few car dealerships and ray Chevrolet in fox lake was the best dealership I've been to. I was looking for a car but my budget and credit wasn't the best. I ended up driving away with a 2011 camaro!! The sales man Austin pequeno worked with me until we found something I could afford and absolutely loved. I really suggest if you are looking for a car you go to rays. I'd ask for Austin. You won't regret it. Who knows you may be the next one to drive away in your dream car! I'm not sure if Austin will see this but if you do, I wanted to say thank you very much for helping me get this car! Its beautiful!

I've purchased two vehicles from Ray -I love working everyone there - from with the service department to the sales staff. Came to look at a 2010 Corolla S was going well the salesman Tony was nice carried good conversation and was polite. But when it came to talk financial opportunities and what would be my best option, in my opinion, he became very pushy and rude. Even trying to bait me by saying things like "Oh so is this not the right car for you? " When he very well knew that I had up until that point had enjoyed the vehicle and the experience and personally has very much negatively impacted my car buying experience especially from dealerships.

I am so thankful to Ray Chevy for taking excellent care of me and my Equinox when I needed some serious brake work and maintenance. Kyle from the service department is excellent to work with and had my car back to me the same day!

Ray Chevrolet is an AMAZING place to go to buy a new car! The whole staff works in tandem to make the process as smooth and painless as possible. Keith Ragusa helped me out tremendously with picking the right car and staying within my budget. I ended up selling my old car to them and picking up a new Chevy Sonic (which I LOVE). Salesman and sales manager were very courteous and professional. We came to a very fair deal. Finance department is lacking. Unprofessional comments and failed to execute the signed contract. Deal was made on 8/10, failed to hear anything from them. Called finance department on 9/04 and was informed that loan was funded, everything was fine, nothing to worry about. 9/7 My wife gets a call saying we need to come in to sign new documents. Finance person even claimed to have called me twice. When I asked about his supposed calls he magically gave me a number with a few creative numbers changed....funny when I called the number he gave it didn't even ring. He claimed incorrect number was due to them using multiple systems. I would strongly recommend avoiding Ray finance department.

Ray Jr. Was the absolute Best!!! Talked to me like he was my good friend and family!
We were offered something to drink and even though there was a slight mis communication about a sedan vs. a hatchback Ray Jr. took care of it right away!! Plus he connected with us on a personal level and we were talking about comics! Will for sure come back here for our next purchase and will refer friends!!! PS If you go in Tell them Kristin Bensen sent you and to ask for RAY JR. Very down to earth and on the level!

This was my first used car purchase with financing -- second ever car purchase, and first from a dealer. The other car was purchased from a small-operation auction-to-sale solo business in Wisconsin. So I'll admit I was expecting the full pitch. More than that, I'm young (under 30) and have crap for credit and an unusual income situation as a graduate student who works per-project contract. My husband's income is less than mine and his credit, due to medical bills, is worse! So I figured, "no chance, we're not getting financing, I'm gonna wind up slapped with the best possible option of a 2k junker same as the one we've got now". I would have happily done that, too.

But Rob Schartz and Joe Nash made it happen. They were able to look at our finances and find a deal that worked. It was a bit more than I might have LIKED to pay per month, but given my credit score and the fact that I walked away with a 2008 Elantra under 100,000 miles, I'm very very pleased. Rob got what it means to be in our credit situation trying to improve the score, understood the constraints of the finances and was never once judgmental, snooty or unfriendly (and believe me, I've dealt with a number of people who are). When my husband gave the bottom line and the offer came back too high, I figured that was it, we were walking away and going with the "pay cash get car" route. But no, they actually ended up meeting us halfway. Pretty pleased with that, too.

The car itself had a check engine light on, which was checked and serviced before we left. Got a Carfax report no issues, didn't even have to ask for it (let's just say our last car was bought Carfax-unseen). Car was cleaned, fluid levels checked, tires checked, rotated, etc etc etc while we waited and handled the financing. I was just 100% impressed that we were not treated like second-class buyers because we were buying used, or because our credit scores were low. Never once did anyone make me feel less than or embarrassed. In fact, Rob went OUT OF HIS WAY to personally involve himself and share anecdotes to help us feel more comfortable about the situation, even after the sale was finished. He came back to check on us about fifty times (this may be an exaggeration but you get the point) over the span of the 4-5 hours it took to go from walk in to walk out, many of those after the deal was done and the papers signed, and we were just hanging out waiting. He definitely did not need to do that, and it was really very nice of him.

I'd absolutely recommend Ray to anyone -- the size of the dealership means they have a lot of resources. Yes, it hurt to pay the IL tax, but to be honest I wasn't going to get considered for financing by the smaller places in WI. With unusual circumstances like mine, I figured I'd be sent packing, and instead I went home with a great car that I love.

Hugo was very helpful, patient, and did everything he could to put me in a vehicle that was in the price range I was looking for. Hugo went and got the vehicles I was interested in and brought them to me to test drive to see which one I liked best. Hugo and I both agreed on the same vehicle and we proceeded to finish the paperwork for financing with Joe Nash. Even though I left after closing time, I felt good that I left with the car that wanted, the color I wanted, and low mileage.
