Totally awesome!! We tried to do the 'smart/affordable' thing & repair it ourselves using YouTube... $150 in parts later, we still had an in-op furnace (we're your typical DIYers :)). I was referred by a friend to Pyramid & am so glad I called them! I called on a Monday, Jennifer was so kind & friendly. They were able to fit me in on Thursday & within 10 minutes of Keith arriving at our home-- HEAT ON! Do yourself a favor, call them! :)

The tech that has been coming out most recently is Victor Taylor and I can not say enough good things about him. We just had Tony in to do routine maintenance and checkup on the mini split they put in last year. It was completely free and he was so thorough. He even checked on another vent in the house for me that didn't seem to be working and gave me some helpful advice. I recommend this company- they are worth the investment!

Pyramid's rep who performed the annual maintenance checkup on our air conditioning system was terrific! He not only check the A/C but looked over the furnace to make sure everything was set up correctly. In addition, he adjusted the vents inside the house to make the parts of the house used more often cooler. He was pleasant and knowledgeable.

Called in today to have my AC unit repaired, and got very swift service. They came in a couple of hours later and fixed my AC. Very professional service. They will have my annual maintenance for sure.

The technician arrived when expected, was very pleasant and completed the work quickly. I have used Pyramid Heating since buying our house in 2007. Always very happy with their work.

If I had to judge their service by the quality of the people they hire I must only give a one star. When you allow staff to drive your vehicle's that have your business represented on the side of them.... I would make sure you are allowing quality people to drive that can properly represent your company. One of their drive nearly caused multiple accidents on 82ND today. Not once using a blinker while they erratically rushed through traffic on 82ND during rush hour, nearly side swiping and rear-ending innocent drivers. School zones meant nothing to this company driver. If your staff rushes this much in traffic and has no value for public safety I wonder how they treat their job sites. Not only is the company extremely organized and professional their technicians are second to none. Both Athen and Spencer in my eyes are absolute geniuses they are always able to find the issues and resolve in a very timely manner, and in the rare event of uncertainty they are always upfront and extremely honest. Dean was out Wednesday to do the annual checkup of my Mitsubishi mini split system. He was right on time and was very courteous and helpful and even cleaned the outside unit. It has been a pleasure dealing with Pyramid ever since I had the system installed in 2012.

Randy phoned to confirm arrival, was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. I would ask for Randy without a concern.

I have a carrier high efficiency furnace that had a bad secondary heat exchanger. Victor came out to diagnose, and was very knowledgeable and professional in guiding me through my options. Parts were ordered and 2 days later Spencer came to install. He was also very knowledgeable and professional. Great experience with Pyramid. If the need arises I will definitely work with them again.

This review is to report on Tony who is the extraordinary service technician who came for my first experience with Pyramid Heating. There were a few issues and questions regarding what was needed to replace the UV light kit system as it is apparently not a common one. He was smart and focused with a quick investigation and was able to provide clarity and peace of mind for me quickly.
Tony is unusually patient and kind which is what I needed that day. I am glad I called Pyramid and very very grateful that a guy like Tony showed up! I feel quite sure that I will be able to rely on Pyramid Heating and Cooling for service twice a year now for A/C and furnace.

Jared and team were great. We found them off of Angie s List, and they didn t disappoint. We Wanted to have preventive maintenance done on our AC, and Jared was awesome spending a good amount of time on the furnace unit and working the whole time my wife said two thumbs up!

Pyramid Heating & Cooling has serviced our house in the past so we used them again this year for furnace and a/c check up. Our tech was Deon, nice guy, explained stuff. But he said since our a/c made noise it meant there was a leak & probably needed replaced. He would have the office send us an estimate. I told him we've been in this house 8.5 years and the a/c has always made the noise (which is low) and the previous techs didn't say anything about a possible leak. I mentioned our neighbors a/c does the same thing, he said then hers has a leak too & probably needs replaced. We replace our paper filter about every other month. Deon showed us ours (yes it was dirty) then showed us a metal looking filter (didn't know we had one) as previous techs didn't show us that. He said the metal looking one was bad so he threw it away & put another paper one in (we had a new one waiting for the switch out). Now it makes me wonder if the previous techs didn't do their job & bring this stuff to our attention or this guy went a little overboard? Guess we'll never know...

After being stood up for a maintenance appointment without an explanation or phone call by another heating and air condition company I decided it was time for a change. My first call was to Pyramid Heating and Cooling as I had heard good things about them. I was not disappointed. Everything about Pyramid was first rate from beginning to end. When I called their office for the first time Nichole took the time to explain to me what Pyramid offered for furnace maintenance. She was very friendly, professional, efficient and easy to talk with. I scheduled furnace maintenance with her for one time so that I could see how timely and efficient the technician was. The day before my scheduled service Nichole called to confirm my appointment. How nice was that! The next day the technician Deon arrived right on time as promised. Deon introduced himself, presented me with a business card and showed me his company picture identification badge. Deon was very courteous, friendly and professional. He made a very good first impression on me. While Deon inspected the furnace I observed and asked questions as they came to mind. Deon was efficient and definitely knew what he was doing. As he worked he was always happy to answer my questions and explain every step of the inspection process. Deon did not rush through the job. He took his time and made sure he did a thorough inspection. All in all the furnace maintenance call was a very positive experience. I was so impressed with the overall performance of Pyramid Heating and Cooling that at the completion of the call I decided to sign up for a yearly furnace maintenance plan. I mentioned this to Deon and he made one short call to Nichole and I was signed up for yearly furnace maintenance. All companies should be as efficient and nice to deal with as Pyramid Heating and Cooling. Thank you for a job well done from start to finish.

I had an estimate for a geothermal heat pump from Pyramid. I always have three estimates for projects. Doug was the most prompt of the three companies I talked to and also had the quickest turn around on delivering an estimate. (free by the way) In addition, he went over and beyond by also giving me other types of HVAC estimates that my fit my situation. The previous review was not at all what I experienced. I still have not decided on which company I am going to go with as I am leaving town. But will contact all of them when I return to get more details.

Victor was awesome! We was super knowledge and explained things in a way that was easy to understand. We have had issues with our HVAC system since we moved in. He was the third or fourth tech to come out and was the only one who was able to find the issues.

Their A/C installer covered over the service stickers of my furnace company with their own. It almost cost me getting my furnace fixed free under warranty, I am shocked at sleazy tactics like this. Not the mark of a professional at all. I would recommend going with anyone different. be warned!

Randy came to due a complimentary check up on our new heat pump and system. He was polite, clean and thorough. He cleaned the coil in the air handler and found a disconnected ground wire and a faulty capacitor , and then corrected the problems. This is pretty typical of my experiences with the Pyramids crew. We recently had Pyramid Heating install a heat pump and air handler in our home. I don t think I ve ever had a more professional experience! They communicated exceptionally well, and were always here when they said they d be. We encountered a little wiring issue, and they made sure they got it diagnosed and fixed quickly. I am thrilled to give their crew five stars.

Today was our first maintenance visit. The office called ahead to let us know the technician was on their way. The person who arrived was very courteous, wore a mask, gloves, and even booties over his shoes. He discussed what steps we could take to take better care of our units, yet kept the conversation brief.

After getting quotes of about $4000 to replace our aging furnace from two other companies Pyramid's guy pointed out that our furnace was still under warranty. They completed major parts replacements almost immediately and we never saw a bill. This is the kind of company I wish I could call for all my home repair projects.

The technician that came on a VERY short notice (same day!) was very knowledgeable of the equipment to be fixed, had an excellent work attitude and good personal communication skills. Very satisfied with this new contact.

I had the service tech out to the project for an inspection, waited several weeks to get them back to fix the problem, they left without the issue being resolved and I have 7 apartment units without proper hot water heating. Not happy with the situation.

Pyramid Heating & Cooling always does an excellent job with knowledgeable and experienced technicians, Spencer and Rick. This visit the heating system was given a Fall maintenance inspection and tune-up. In addition, a premium duct cleaning was done, as well as the dryer exhaust duct. I am well satisfied with the work.

Been using Pyramid for years. Very comfortable with them

They were able to fit us in same day for our AC being out. Fixed it within half an hour.

During the recent wildfires and resulting heavy smoke, we consulted Pyramid Heating and Cooling for advice on how to mitigate the smoke in our home. They suggested an air purifier in addition to changing our furnace filters daily. They were able to come out the next day to install the air purifier and they delivered a supply of filters at the same time. We were pleased with their quick and professional service.

Deon arrived at our residence on time and ready to clean our furnace. He was efficient in his work and explained all that he did. He gave us a quick review of our thermostat settings and made two great suggestions for resets. We asked for an additional filter and Deon (and Pyramid) had one shipped to us the next day. Thank you all.

UPDATED Review - Today, 15 January 2018, Pyramid was able to dispatch a technician to visit my property and take care of an exhaust fan that needed to be re-anchored in my attic.

I really appreciate their quick response to my issue, as well as the outstanding work done by Randy - the technician that performed the work for my home.

I know that I can always count on Pyramid Heating & Cooling to take care of my furnace and other mechanical items in my home. They are very good at what they do, and I highly recommend them! Thank you again!

Service was, as usual, very good. I asked many questions regarding my system and Deon was very polite and knowledgeable.

The initial visit by the Kim who came and gave us the estimate, top notch, above all the rest who also came from other companies to give us a quote. Once we decide to go with Pyramid, their timeline for installation was within two weeks which was also great.

The installation was a two day process, not a big deal. What Kim told us would be done vs what was actually done, totally different on the install. We were told we would have fresh air brought in from the outside as recommended by the manufacture, this was never done (even though we paid for it according to the estimate). We were also told the particular furnace we were having installed required a different ventilation system which would run along the ceiling to the exterior of the house vs the old way of running vent pipe up through the roof. I was assured the new ventilation pipe would fit very snug to the ceiling and we would barely notice it. When I can home on day one, the vent pipe was hanging two feet down from the ceiling and looked absolutely ridiculous. The installer told me that was a requirement (it wasn't).

Once the job was complete and tested, things appeared to be working just fine. Within an hour of the installer leaving, the system completely shut down, control panel went blank, there was nothing happening. I immediately contacted Pyramid who informed me they would send someone out on Saturday, we would be responsible for a $ 199.00 service fee for after hours and a weekend repair. When I told the guy it was just installed that day, he said I would have to negotiate the $ 199.00 service fee with the repairman.

Repairman came out on Saturday, the issue was a pump that was defective, took 30 minutes to replace and all was good. During the repair, I did ask him about the fresh air pipe I was told would be installed, said it wasn't necessary. He did make a comment as to how the ventilation pipe had been installed, said he wouldn't have done it that way at all, total ridiculous how it was hanging from the ceiling.

When I complained about the ventilation pipe, they said someone would come out and fix it. A guy came out a week later and what I thought was he would be fixing the vent pipe. He was only there to determine what he would need to make the necessary corrections and he would do it at a later date. While he was there, I asked him about the fresh air pipe feeding the furnace, he said there should have been one installed. At this point, I was getting conflicting answer as to the fresh air pipe from the outside, everyone had their own opinions, fact of the matter, I paid for it to be installed, it should have been done, necessary or not.

Thought I would go to the owner o Pyramid for a once and for all answer to the fresh air question. I had a better shot of reaching President Obama, this guy was being sheltered and his customer were being kept from talking to him. After many efforts, he finally called me back. His answer to the fresh air pipe, not necessary. Very good, but I was never issues a credit for the money I spend on labor and materials.

The day the guy came out to fix the vent pipe boon doggle, he was very professional and did a great job. He was shocked at what a terrible job was done on the vent pipe the first time, very unprofessional work. He also indicated many of the pipe joints were not sealed which could have been very dangerous allowing the exhaust from the furnace to leak into the garage which is not good. He made everything right though, did a great job.

Would I recommend or us Pyramid again, I would not.

These guys are the best! I am a realtor and I use them for all my HVAC repairs and replacements. They are quick to respond and very knowledgeable, I highly recommend them.

heres the story. We had our roof done last week and noticed that the very day the roof was finished, we d run out of hot water and our furnace was no longer turning on. We called pyramid and were placed to speak with an after hours technician (Deon) who walked me through all of the normal checks. Not once did he make me feel like I should know any of the information or questions he asked. He was very knowledgeable and kind and sympathized with our situation.

After talking for about 40 minutes, we determined that it may actually be an issue for Nw natural to advise on. NW natural confirmed that our hvac vent was blocked/ filled with something and that in the end we should reach out to our roofer as well as have it looked at by an hvac specialist.

I called pyramid hoping to get a same day visit and was advised that they were booked until next Wednesday. This was crushing. I believe I spoke with Nicole who listened to my frantic story and said she would try to get us in for after hours the next day but that she would see what else she could do. On my way home from work that very same day she called me again and said that specialist Randy was just getting off work but would come by our house on his way home to take a look at the situation. Randy was also very kind and knowledgeable and determined that our hvac vent in the attic was gone and that the hole that should be venting was covered in insulation.

He advised that he would need to come back tomorrow with an additional person to find the hole and reconnect the vent to outside.

Even though our issue is not yet resolved, I have been very satisfied with the level of service given by every single Pyramid employee I ve spoken to. We had them do work on our hvac 2 years ago and the service was memorable enough then that we opted to use their service again.

Pyramid provided excellent service for my residential gas conversion. I went out for 5 bids but Pyramid was the only contractor to thoroughly assess the property and address my specific needs. The quote was based on a number of available options without any pressure to go one way or the other. The install team was professional and informative and any obstacles and curve balls that cropped up were efficiently handled without issue. Couldn't recommend them more.

I had an appointment this morning with Pyramid Heating to get a bid to install a new gas furnace in my home. Scheduling the appointment with Rachel was quick and easy. Matthew called me about 30 mins before our appointment to say he was on his way, which I really appreciate. He kind prompt, beyond courteous, and answered all of my questions as he walked through everything. I am still gathering quotes but so far am very impressed with Pyramid!

Excellent customer service. As a property manager, we have used Pyramid Heating & Cooling on many of our rental properties. They are always professional and do excellent work. I cannot say how easy it is working with them.

I have been waiting to write my review until we have had a chance to really enjoy our new mini-split heat pump, which was installed at our cabin on Mt. Hood. Alas, weather has conspired to keep us away! So for the moment I will review the team: What a terrific group of people, from the salesman through to the nice guys who came and spent a very cold day installing the unit, they were an impressive bunch. Great communicators, polite, friendly highly skilled and very thoughtful. Brian and I came up with an installation plan when he visited the cabin to give us an estimate, and the installation team arrived right on time, ready to carry it out, but devised an even better one on the spot. They were efficient, and cleaned up after themselves when they finished. And I can tell you that on a 31-degree day, when the final hook up was complete and we hit the on button, the air coming into the cabin measured a toasty 94-degrees. So, if the snow ever actually melts enough for my family to get back up there, I am confident it will be warm and cozy. I whole heartedly recommend Pyramid. What a terrific company!

We have been using Pyramid Heating and Cooling for many years and have always been impressed by the quick response, the customer service and good quality products. We particularly love our usual technician Victor Taylor. He answers our calls promptly is always very friendly and positive and will go out of his way to make sure our units are working properly.. Our tech was Athen. Five star rating! Communicated clearly and confidently, enabling us to feel good about the repair strategy. His work seems sound and was done in less time than anticipated. No issues at all.

However, the administrative side of this experience was less than one star. As part of my initial call to request service, I emailed a photo of the repair to better prepare the tech. Athen was at a disadvantage right from the start since his documentation not only didn't describe the repair well, there was no photo attached.

One more example (but there were many such frustrations.) I specifically asked to have Athen return for the 2nd part of the repair (all according to plan.) When I received a call for scheduling, I was told "a technician" would be back out. Again, I had to re-inform the office that I wanted Athen to complete the repair. That required more calls and more delays.

Very unfortunate to have such a quality tech, but with inept behind the scenes support.

Tony came to my home today for a routine cleaning and safety check for my 2 furnaces. He was professional and courteous. He helped me solve a small problem with my air circulation timer and gave me a tutorial on programing my thermostats in addition to cleaning my systems. I was very pleased with his work. Pyramid installed an air conditioner about 12 months ago. The system is working great and just completed a free one-year cleaning and inspection of the unit. Today, I'm satisfied with my purchase and the experience working with Pyramid.

If you decide to use this company, make sure you get a quote IN WRITING.

I'm selling my condo and need some work done on the heating and cooling system per buyer's inspection. Initially I got a quote of 399 to do air duct and dryer vent cleaning and scheduled an appointment for it. But my listing agent called on the day of appointment and asked me to do the furnace and AC service, and dryer vent cleaning instead. So I asked the technician if he could do that. He said yes and said the price would change - the service would be about 150 each and dryer vent cleaning would be about 75. That seemed reasonable to me and we went on to work.

The technician was nice and friendly. He did a good job.

BUT, the bill turned out to be 149 + 119 for furnace and AC service and 179 for the dryer vent cleaning! Seriously? 179 for dryer vent cleaning? Duct-a-clean can clean air duct in my whole condo and dryer vent for 230.

I was shocked. The technician seemed shocked too. He said 179 was the price if he was only doing dryer vent cleaning. He also said if he was already at location doing other work and did dryer vent cleaning as an add-on work, the bill shouldn't be that much. He offered to call his service manager to adjust the bill. The manager was in a meeting so we decided that he let the manager know the problem and the service manager would call me with adjusted bill and collect payment. Well, the manager never called. I called Pyramid only to get the answer that the technician's words were not a real "quote". Dryer vent cleaning cost 179 and that's it.

Yeah, textbook price gouging. I paid outrages charge to clean my dryer vent. And Pyramid lost my business forever.

It's such a shame because the technician was really friendly and helpful. When he left, I was ready to buy a 3-year maintenance plan for my new house. But no, I would never do business with Pyramid again.

We have been going through horrible winter cold so far. Our second floor radiates heat that we get migraines, wakes us up in the middle of the night. Our main floor is so cold that we shiver in our kitchen and living room. Pyramid Heating and Carrier gas furnace is our combination.
This review is based on 2 appointments with Pyramid.
First appointment was to get the furnace working. Furnace was blowing cold air. Nice work, eh! :) Cherry on top, gas was leaking after we turning on the furnace. Technician showed up on emergency during the cold weather, since I insisted. Thank goodness, I was covered under home warranty - I was not ripped off. :) I must give this technician the credit that he was honest. He admitted the installer from his team screwed up, wired the board wrong- Heat to cold. He fixed it, I confirmed that heat is coming through the vents. He fixed the gas leak and the loose pipes too. He was in such hurry to leave, he didnt even check the temperature in the house. I consider this a poor service.
Second appointment was for cooling-a\c installation estimation. Heard a lot about pyramid from the sales executive for 30 minutes and then got ano estimate which was 2 times more than quotes I recieved.

My feed back:
- Did not find integrity and commitment to the work.
- Either had ignorant or careless technicians - a gas leak is not silly, wrong wiring is okay :)
- Focus seemed to be on sale and money than on doing the right things right.
I checked with my neighbor and he is going through the same misery.
The 1 star is for the reason that the heating runs. :D

Very professional. Found the problem very fast as a filter that needed replaced. Little late on the call but understandable based on a major accident on the freeway.
