Pyramid Heating & Cooling has serviced our house in the past so we used them again this year for furnace and a/c check up. Our tech was Deon, nice guy, explained stuff. But he said since our a/c made noise it meant there was a leak & probably needed replaced. He would have the office send us an estimate. I told him we've been in this house 8.5 years and the a/c has always made the noise (which is low) and the previous techs didn't say anything about a possible leak. I mentioned our neighbors a/c does the same thing, he said then hers has a leak too & probably needs replaced. We replace our paper filter about every other month. Deon showed us ours (yes it was dirty) then showed us a metal looking filter (didn't know we had one) as previous techs didn't show us that. He said the metal looking one was bad so he threw it away & put another paper one in (we had a new one waiting for the switch out). Now it makes me wonder if the previous techs didn't do their job & bring this stuff to our attention or this guy went a little overboard? Guess we'll never know...
