Steve (aka Human because my call was answered by him not an automated system) was stellar in his customer service skills as he went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable that my new used car issues were going to be taken care of even down to the towing that was needed. I am so very thankful the car dealership offered this brand of warranty and encourage me to purchase. As the dealership said, we do all we can to ensure the used car purchaser gets a good and reliable used car but bottom line, you are purchasing a used car! My adjuster Steve has to be one of the best in the industry personable guy and knows how to get the job done I was having problems on the transmission of my 08 bmw 5 series they worked with my local mechanic to have it replaced as well as working with them on the labor rate so that I wouldn't have any out of pocket labor costs definitely a good end to what could have been a very complicated situation
We here at G&G Auto have had a great working relationship with Proguard Warranty for several years. We are a small used car lot and service center. Our dealer representative is amazing. He is always available for us and our customers. We feel great about the warranties from Proguard that we offer with our vehicles and our service center never has any problems collecting on warranty work they do on our customer's vehicles. I have had the ProGuard Standard Warranty on 2 of my 3 used vehicles through Second Chance Auto. This warranty is amazing. My mechanics love it, they get back to me quickly with any questions or concerns, there are no hidden fees. With my copy of the warranty I know what is or is not covered and all i have to do is drop my car off with my card on the passenger seat and my mechanic handles everything from there. I feel more secure in financing a used vehicle because of ProGuard!!!

I am in the market shopping around for a Mercedes Benz. I found this dealership in Maryland which I like. The dealership's finance manager ran my credit and I got approved with 0 down, now while the finance manager was going over my approval he started to go over what I need and do not need. He said I should get the GAP insurance and a warranty. He told me that they can offer me the "BEST" warranty service provider in the business and that's when he mentioned ProGuard Warranty. Then he took out his cell phone and googled Proguard warranty and showed me how many great reviews they have. At first, I said sign me up for their best package which came up to $5900 for 6yrs/100,000 miles. I also said before I signed any documents I want to go home and look up the reviews myself. From what I've read, it seems like all the good reviews ProGuard has gotten came from their employees and some of the owner's friends. On the negative side, Proguard doesn't do a good job living up to their word when it comes to covering mechanical issues under their warranty plan. Another review I read was very disturbing, one gentleman was having problems with his transmission on his Jeep Cherokee and when he brought it to the shop, the shop contacted Proguard who then in turn told them they should find a used transmission and install it. That's is very Low Standard from a company who claims they are the best in the business. I did some some more research into ProGuard and I see that they are associated with PepBoys and a bunch of Mom and Pop's businesses. Now folks, check this out, Proguard warranty PREFERRED VEHICLE PROTECTION PLAN PROVIDER FOR PEPBOYS, can you imagine bringing your 2016 Mercedes Benz S550 or a BMW to Pepboys for a major issue? Are you freaking kidding me? PEPBOYS.?
From what I see, Proguard warranty is only good for American made vehicles such as Fords, Chevy, Chrysler, Dodge and "maybe" Japanese cars such as Toyota's or Honda's that can be fixed at PepBoys where the parts are cheap, but NO German made Luxury vehicles such as Mercedes Benz, BMW and Audi's or any other European made cars. Folks, if you purchase a German make car be sure to get the MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY PLAN. Mercedes Warranty is $200 less than what Proguard is offering. I want to protect my investment so therefore, I am going to buy my warranty from Mercedes. I am glad I looked up the reviews myself and I see that this is not a good product or a reputable company. I rather be safe than sorry.
We have been dealing with ProGuard Warranty through our local representative, Sammy Bernardo, for many, many years. Their pricing is good and their coverage programs are great. Our experience has been nothing but wonderful! We have had very few problems, and if one has occurred, Sammy "jumped" right in and solved it quickly. We had a nightmare of an experience buying an Armada from a used car dealer that ultimately needed a new engine. Thank God we purchased a warranty with ProGuard. They replaced the engine and worked well with our mechanic shop of choice. Steve, was ever so patient and diligent to answer any questions or concerns I had about our vehicle or the process of having it repaired. He literally must have spent hours on the phone with me with never so much as even a hint of annoyance with all of my questions/concerns. He truly is the epitome of quality customer service. Going on 2 weeks now waiting on a used transmission. I call when it's supposed to be delivered today. I get shoved to voicemail so they don't have to talk to me. I waited till 4:50 to call them to give the benefit of the delivery may be the last of the day but nope. So now the office is closed and I still only get reimbursed 4 days for a car rental. I don't believe I have ever spoken to someone who was more professional than Christine. She answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns without making me feel clueless. I have been shopping around for extra coverage and I believe my shopping days are over. It was a pleasure to speak with someone so knowledgeable and helpful.
Horrible experience, out of 4 items that needed repair, the warranty only covered one item, and not even 100% of that single item. When contacting the company and asked if there was anything i could do, "nothing" that was pretty much it, there was not middle ground. Three years of faithful payments for nothing.
I purchased a hybrid car with extended warranty that covers transmission and engine. A few months after the purchase the hybrid transmission went bad. Proguard found every reason to not fix the transmission so I ended cancelling the warranty and traded the car because no one would buy it in that condition. I paid $2500 for a 5 years warranty. After weeks of waiting, I received a check for $509.24. I had the car for about 6mths when the claim was made so I questioned the check. I keep getting the runaround from both the car dealer and Proguard. Proguard is claiming that they sent over $1,300 and the dealer is claiming that's not true. This is extremely poor customer service on both parts. Proguard denied my claim but yet still holding on to my money. This is very dishonest.
I bought a ProGuard Warranty with my 07 Dodge Charger RT and it was the best decision I have ever made. Ended up needing a bunch of work done on it and Steve really took care of me and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and that I was more than happy with the work. He really put the extra time and attention in to show that he really cares about his work. I have had other vehicles that came with warranties and never have had the kind of attention and service that I have got with ProGuard and Steve. I will definitely be recommending their services to all my friends and family.

I purchased the warranty for my daughter's car because it is an older BMW . I had no idea if I was doing the right thing because I have heard so many horror stories associated with extended warranties. Well I have to absolutely rave about the company as well as the customer service they provide. Mike went over and above to help me out and was so kind and helpful. They paid the bill quickly just like they say they will. Top notch company here and I will make sure I always have my cars covered by them.

By far the worst warranty company ever heard of. I asked did my warranty Cover the repairs needed after buying the truck for days ago and they stated everything that I needed done was covert by them. They told me to take my vehicle to Pep Boys hole and never let work know any of my vehicles because of the bad experiences I've had with them. they told me to take my vehicle to Pep Boys whom I never let work on any of my vehicles because of the bad experiences I've had with them. This place Told me to take my vehicle that day he and Berry were closed for five days . Pep boys then call them back and they told Pep Boys that they did not all of my repairs and that I am responsible . No I have a bill on my new truck but I have to pay even though no work has been performed just for evaluation . Not only back now I have to have my vehicle report by Pep Boys who is a very low end mechanic. The price is even more expensive because it's not being submitted through the Proguard fleet account. Please do not get this warranty. It's nothing but a piece of paper. Don't want to going to any more details but I am warning everyone stay away from this warranty company
This place is awesome and is filled with people who truly wear their hearts on there sleeve! I work for an Automotive Repair shop in Fredericksburg VA by the name of ABCDIESELZ. We recenlty had a customer who brought a vehicle to us to have repairs done, at the end of repairs when the vehicle was ready to be picked up the customer said it would be covered by Proguard warranty. Stated to me it was an easy process and would only take about 5 minutes. Long story short, the customer never even filed a claim to Proguard and eneded up screwing us in the long run. Thanks to Steve, the claims manager at Proguard, ABCDIESELZ will be recieveing almost the entire payment from Proguard, when in all reality this isnt there issue AT ALL! How amazing is that!? ABCDIESELZ is feeling very thankful for this! Thank you Steve, and the proguard team, for standing behind your word and being all around AWESOME people. We are forever grateful.

Originally took my vehicle to a dealer to be diagnosed. Some of the issues were covered and some were maintenance issues. ProGuard reached out to me directly to recommend a different mechanic. The vehicle ended up not needed half of what the dealer said plus their labor rates were much cheaper. ProGuard authorized their repair quickly and I saved over half of what I would have paid at the dealer. I have no doubt they will take care of me if I need them in the future.
I have never in my life had any warranty like proguard I bought a 1500 Chevrolet silverado and right off the bat it needed expensive repairs (transmission, alternator,idler pulley,belt tensioner. And Guess What they took care of everything!! Literally. They don't play hide and seek with you when repairs are needed they pay directly to the shop making everything much easier, I am grateful for Proguard Warranty and will add this warranty for whatever vehicles I own You reading this message should too. After speaking with Rob the claims adjuster with pro guard, and found out that the shop ,that was not approved by Pro Guard was the reason for all the extra charges. They found me an approved shop Red Line Tire and Auto, and have been able to complete the process with as little out of pocket as possible. Hope you never have to use it but a Warranty is all ways the way to go.
I reccomend ProGuard! They paid my claim quickly and kept me updated on the process of my car. My service was $3,000. I only paid $400! Great service! Keep up the great work!
I have been in the auto business 17yrs and have never seen a warranty back the customers more than Progaurd. I have been working with Progaurd for 3 yrs now and have been amazed at the service we've received. I cannot under-state how incredible my experience was. After breaking down in Baltimore Maryland 3 hours from home and being pushed off the road I was in a state of panic. My wife, my 6 year old son and myself were stuck in an unfamiliar city with a car that wasn't running. So I called ProGuard and Dominick got to work. It was unreal how fast we were taken care of, the tow truck arrived TEN MINUTES after I got off the phone and the repairs to the minivan are all covered.
I feel safer on the road with ProGuard, I hope I never need to use it again, but I will never, EVER own a vehicle without it.

When my transmission died, I was told by different people to expect a lot of red tape and most likely a denial of coverage, based on their own experiences with different warranty companies. ***First and foremost ProGuard is approving our claim on a transmission. This review is not about that. This is a review based on customer service in COMMUNCATING with your company.*** Does this company have more than 1 man working for them to answer the telephones and return voicemails? Our car has been sitting at a repair shop for about 3 WEEKS. Not 100% PrGuards fault. ProGuard was debating with the macanic on the type of equipment to install in the car. We were told that the car was going to be moved to another shop because of this and they would get it towed there for us. Great, we just want it fixed! The original repair shop that our car had been sitting at for weeks wanted money for an evaluation fee and the car would not be released to the new repair shop until this evaluation fee was paid. Makes sense. But this isn't my fault and I shouldn't be responsible for this. It was made very very clear to Steve several times over the phone about our car not being released until this fee was paid. Steve reassured us that the fee was being taken care of and the car was going to be released to the tow truck and transported to the new shop. Two days after being reassured this was all being taken care of, still no word from anyone. We had been trying to contact Steve within those two days by calling and leaving messages with no avail. Finally day three of no news (today) we get a return call from Steve that the macanic from the original repair shop and ProGuard came to some kind of agreement and the car is going to be fixed where it had already been sitting for weeks. Again, not 100% ProGuard's fault the car has been sitting this long. But we had been told now three days ago, by Steve, everything was going to be taken care of THAT DAY and they were getting the car to the other shop and getting it fixed asap! What's been going on the past three days then, and why haven't we been notified when there were expectations as customers that were not being met? When speaking to Steve today, the car wasn't released three days ago because the evaluation fee was never paid for. When We were under the impression everything was being taken care of after hanging up with Steve three days ago. Come to find out Steve "had to leave work early the past two days" (his words, not mine), knowing this fee needed taken care of that day when we spoke to him three days ago, before it would be released from the original repair shop. Also knowing we haven't had a working vehicle in about 3 weeks, zero compassion to help us get this process moving. Also to add, I guess if you leave work early, that must mean you don't return messages left from first thing in the morning, the time the company opens. At least that's how it worked for us. What..A...Nightmare...It takes days for them to return a call/message. We feel taken advantage of because of the fact we have no other choice or option than to just deal with all this craziness to get our vehicle back fixed, under our warranty. Today I was at the point where I was ready to just explode with frustration. So instead I decided to sit down and take 30 minutes of my life to write this review. I take other people's reviews into careful consideration before I use a company or purchase items now. So I felt it was important to share our experience with others on the communication/customer service regardless of what ProGuard's response is to my review. This situation in its entirety was not 100% ProGuard's fault, but as my warranty company that we pay to have, they sure didn't make it any better or easier for us either. This should've never been this hard and stressful.. As a woman that comes from a small family owned business myself, I understand the importance of reviews online and how much they can impact a company. No one is perfect but on the flip side, my family's owned business never left calls/messages go unanswered or returned for days at a time, along with other underlying issues mentioned in my review.

When I bought my car I also bought the Proguard Standard Warranty I am so thankful I did not even 3 months later my engine went and so I took my car to my mechanic who takes the Proguard warranty and they replaced my engine for me it was a very easy process to get my engine replaced the customer service at Proguard is great they are very friendly and took great care of me and answered all my questions. This warranty has more than paid for itself! If and when I get another vehicle I am going to make sure I get the Proguard warranty with it as well just knowing that I have this warranty gives me peace of mind. My mother also has a Proguard Comprehensive Warranty and loves it she travels all over the country and she does not worry if any thing were to break because she knows that if it does Proguard will be there to fix it.
Dont buy this service they treat you like garbage and dont pay for the full price and give you a run around and want use junk yard parts for the repair and very rude they suck .
My name is Tony I bought a ProGuard Warranty with my 2007 Dodge Charger RT and Thank God i did. My car ended up needing the motor replaced and the process with the mechanic was an absolute nightmare. Steve was an absolute life saver though and made sure everything that was covered didnt come out of my pocket. Steve really went above and beyond to make sure my car was fixed right and the dealership paid immediately and kept me informed at all times. I cant say enough good things about Steve and ProGuard if your buying a car i wouldnt buy one without a ProGuard Warranty.
