My girlfriend and I were riding our Can-am Spyders...
My girlfriend and I were riding our Can-am Spyders from Atlanta, GA to Charlotte, NC to visit my parents. As we neared Greenville, SC on I-85 I suddenly noticed my 2012 RT-S developing problems. We were able to pull off on the side of the road and I noticed that bright green coolant was leaking and splattered on the front of my bike. A quick check on our phone found that a Can-am dealership was 9 miles away, Powersports of Greenville. I called and talked to their Service Manager, Ethan, and he sent a tow to come get my bike. Within 20 mins of making the call my bike was being loaded, talk about service! To make a long story short what was thought to be a coolant problem turned out to be a catastrophic failure of my engine. We had no choice but to leave my bike in Greenville and head back to Atlanta.
Over the next few weeks, Ethan worked with BRP (the manufacturer of Can-ams) to determine what parts were needed and where to order them. Ethan also went way and above to prove that what happened was due to no fault of my own thus it became a warranty issue. Ethan gave me his personal phone number so that we could stay in touch over the next several weeks. Ethan and his crew worked diligently over the next 6 weeks receiving parts and rebuilding the engine, even sending me photos as the work progressed. Once the engine was complete and the bike put back together, Ethan drove my bike for several days to ensure that everything was performing as it should.
We finally returned to pick up my bike. I can't express in words the appreciation and admiration I have for Powersports of Greenville, in particular Ethan and his service department. Keep in mind I was just a Spyder rider from Atlanta when this all started but I now feel as though I have an extended family in Greenville. My biggest regret is that they are 3 hours away and not here locally. Wish I could give them 10 stars because they deserve it!
