Had our Ford Escape (which we bought at Plaza Ford...

Had our Ford Escape (which we bought at Plaza Ford) serviced for an air conditioner problem. They suspected a leak but they couldn't find it.They charged $170 for essentially no results. We took it back again when the AC stopped working and they charged us again to charge the AC system that they couldn't repair the first time and we wound up paying in total $500 to have an AC charge and hose replaced... Wow! When I spoke to the service manager he was dismissive and abrupt. I won't take my car there again for service! Fool me once...

Update: Plaza Ford made some weak attempts to resolve my problems and then they eventually stopped communicating all together and ignored my repeated attempts to reach out to them. Hugely disappointing!!!!

Final Update: Plaza Ford did nothing to help with bad service from their service department (ironically named).

I have had dealings with Plaza Ford for decades. From ownership to the newest employee, the standards of customer service and integrity are maintained at the highest level. Even if your vehicle isn't a Ford, Plaza's service department can handle it. Great people !!

I had a great experience! Gordy was hands down the best sales person I have ever dealt with at a car dealership! He listened to my wants and needs, without pressuring me at all. He worked with me and gave me his experienced advice. He was very professional, but friendly. He is a very kind man. All of the associates I dealt with were very nice. I would definately recommend this dealership. Gordy is fantastic!

As many, I had apprehension about once again going...

As many, I had apprehension about once again going car shopping. However, my experience with John made the process very simple, stress free and fast! John was very responsive to my needs and wants. And we were able to quickly find a vehicle that met these. I will have to say this was the fastest it ever took to buy a vehicle. From the initial search to signing the last form. It took less then 4 hours!

I can't believe I am says this. But what a pleasurable experience!!!

Went for routine maintenance, which I scheduled on-line a week in advance. I got there and it was immediately apparent that they were not prepared and nobody had read the work order - they did not have many of the parts to complete my work order. Service manager said he would order the parts, that I stated I could install. It's been weeks and I have heard nothing. I should know better by now as this is not my first less-than-adequate experience there. In fact they had their own phone number listed as my contact info and I thought we corrected that at least twice in the lobby. Done.

We just purchased our second Ford Focus Hatchback from Plaza Ford and worked with Gordy Mueller both times. It was a very pleasant experience and we recommend Plaza and Gordy to anyone needing to purchase a vehicle.

We purchased our third Ford from Plaza recently. This time a 2018 Escape. Again we worked with Gordy and he did an amazing job getting us an excellent deal. The entire staff at Plaza is fantastic. Thank you Gordy, I love my new Escape!

My wife and I both like dealing with Mary in the garage. Mary is super friendly and we appreciate her communication before, during and after service.

My wife especially likes quick lane for getting minor maintenance done quickly.

I took the car to Plaza on Sunday and left it with the key in the overnight slot. Obviously I did not have an appointment,

Nevertheless, they were able to diagnose the problem, and replace the defective part so that I could have the car back the next day.

Our 2013 Ford Fiesta had map lines that were staying on and the panel was showing that a car door was open. We called Plaza Ford and scheduled an appointment. We bought the car in on a Wednesday morning. We were told that we would have to pay a diagnostic of $119. The car was finished on Thursday by lunch time. They only charged the diagnostic. A wire had come loose in the door panel. AMANDA was awesome. She took each of my 4 phone calls, explained the process, talked to the technician, and was calm on the phone. Thank you for a great experience.

Recently I purchased a Mustang GT from Plaza Ford. After driving it a number of times, I can honestly say that the cars fit, finish, handling and acceleration was everything I hoped it would be. Took my 60K Shelby GT350 in for a mandatory oil line recall. The car only had 5k miles and was mint. While changing the part the "expert" tech drained about 6+ qts of oil out and never put any back in. They then denied it the next day and were anything but helpful. They destroyed a car I worked my entire life to buy all from a basic step any entry level tech should know. Also why not put a veteran on my car??? NEVER take your car there. They have not only made me never want to use them again but have killed my love of Ford vehicles. Total incompetent idiots and the management staff needs to learn how to tell the truth and take ownership!

Just bought a 2014 Ford Explorer from Plaza Ford. Everyone I dealt with was professional, friendly, helpful and very educated on the Explorer and all the promotions, rebates packages, etc...The training that I received on my new vehicle was top notch and when I left I knew everything about every bell and whistle on the SUV! The detail to training me has already made driving my new Explorer a great experience. I would HIGHLY recommend Plaza Ford to anyone looking for an upfront, honest, professional experience!

I cant think of a car purchase that has been easie...

I cant think of a car purchase that has been easier. I found the car on Autotrader and sent in the info request there. Elliot from internet sales followed up in a very timely manner. Once i came in, I had Matt assigned as my sales associate. Matt was very candid and answered all the questions I had. He knew the answer to every question I asked about the car. He wasnt overly aggressive or pushy, but was very quick with his responses, even when I had asked him for something he already sent me.
There wasn't a haggle with the price. I asked and got a yes, and that was it. TrueCar had the price listed as a very good deal. Having the hard tags on the car at time of purchase was a great bonus too. I have always had to wait around while the DMV/MVA dragged their feet getting the tags sent.
There were a couple issues that were pointed out at time of purchase. Matt brought those up to the service manager, and they will be taken care of as soon as I can set up the appointment.
Overall, this was the perfect car buying experience. So long as Plaza Ford and I are still in the area when I need to buy my next car, they will be my first phone call!

My fiance and I went in looking for a car and we met Mario who was extremely polite, helpful, ready to find any answers he didn't know himself. At first I was very pleased with the service we received up until it came to the point of talking numbers. After waiting in the lobby for someone to acknowledge us for nearly an hour, we were simply trying to get information on APR% before we signed any buyers contracts, or anything at all for that matter. They told us that salesmen weren't allowed to discuss finances, which I found a bit odd but dismissed it initiallly, and they couldn't give us a straight answer as to what any rates might be. Finally Mario asked us if we didn't trust him, and very much so jokingly I said, "well you are a car salesmen." And that's where things went sour. One of the men in the corner of the lobby became very upset and belligerently rude to us. After mentioning that they didn't have to sell us a car if that's all we thought of them he then demanded I apologize to Mario, which I did because I respect Mario and his professional attitude. The man continued to give us a hard time and be extremely rude to me so we walked out on the sale. Which is really a shame because Mario was very kind and helpful and I would have been happy to buy a car from him. But when it came down to it, they wanted us to sign legally binding paperwork without us knowing any specifics other than the monthly payment of the car. Which isn't enough to commit to such a huge sale.

I was always told growing up to avoid purchasing a used car from a dealer. Well, the used car I was looking for was for sale at Plaza Ford. After some hesitation, I stopped by to check it out. I was very surprised; the salesmen were friendly (Hugh and Gordy are some of the nicest, friendliest people I have ever met), the price was great, and the car was awesome! I ended up purchasing the car and couldn t be happier.

I highly recommend their business and stand behind their company. Trust me, you won t be disappointed. When I purchase my wife a new car, I will definitely be purchasing it from Hugh and Gordy at Plaza Ford.

No internet price bait and switch tactics or pricing advertised that includes discounts that you won't qualify for when you get to the dealer. Their prices are higher than many of the competitive dealerships, when asked why, the sale individuals reply that there are hidden fees added at other dealerships, which I soon found to be false. The sales rep that I dealt with through email was short, and treated me as inferior. I went to another dealership and actually got a price that was about $9000.00 cheaper than the price that Plaza was able to offer on a similarly equipped 2015 f150. This dealership used to be great, but has gone downhill recently, and I honestly believe that they are more concerned on maximizing profits per vehicle instead of providing a fair price for the consumer. Until this is remedied I do not believe I will do business with them.

I was greeted by friendly staff, my vehicle taken in for the work to be carried out and was returned to me in a very timely manner. Great service, quick and respectful of my time. Purchased a 2018 Ford F-150 from Plaza. Have been a loyal Ford customer. Ford has a known defect in their APIM module but Plaza wants to charge you $120 to diagnose and then the cost of replacing. This truck is just over two years old purchased brand new and has a non-functioning entertainment system (GPS, Radio, Sync, USB ports). Plaza could have cared less. Not the kind of service I am used to and will never purchase from Plaza again. Shouldn t have to argue/negotiate to get a working system with a truck well less than 3 years old.

Stopped in to the quick lane because I had a small leak from around my filter. They got me right in to check and make sure it wasn't serious. Once they checked it, they told me what was going on and recommend I go and head a get the oil changed since I was getting close anyways. They saved me time, which is always appreciated!!

John Staab was exceptional at everything he touched. (greeting us, test driving, the paperwork, his explanations of all questions asked...and we asked a lot!! to our following up after our purchases) We trusted his judgement & expertise so much that we bought 2 vehicles from Plaza Ford on the same day! This did financially limit us in purchasing the warranties that we wanted, but Plaza Ford assured us that we could purchase them at a later date. Good place to car and truck shop. The staff is great and you don't get the pressure you will see at most other dealers. Gordy is awesome so be sure to ask for him if you are shopping around. He is extremely helpful and a great guy to deal with. Finance guys and management are honest and willing to work with you to get a deal done.

As disappointing as it was to let go of my old car, plaza ford helped me get into a new vehicle that I needed. Antwan was very nice and knowledgeable, and I did not feel pressured to buy a vehicle, which made me want to buy my car here as opposed to other dealerships who used the cliche "what can I do to earn your business today?" Phrases that no buyer likes. I really love my new car.

We have always bought our cars from Plaza Ford and for the past 10 years, have always dealt with Frank Janeck. He knows what we like, what we don't like and knows all the features of every model on the lot. He took time to explain many of the features and showed us where to find videos on the Internet to learn the other features. The whole process of turning in our leased vehicle and leasing another was effortless on our part. Frank did all the work. The business office was quick and efficient as well. We will never deal with another dealer.

Plaza Ford is probably the best car dealership I ve ever dealt with. I bought an F150 from them a year ago and they took great care of me. Since then, I ve taken it in for oil changes which were fast and convenient. Most recently, I took it in for some minor service and the service advisor, Rick, was super nice and courteous. He hooked me up with a loaner and made me feel comfortable knowing that my truck was in good hands. I got it back the next day with a clean bill of health. Kudos to you, Rick.

Terrible communication on the part of their servic...

Terrible communication on the part of their service department. I made an appointment two weeks in advance. Told the service person that I want an oil change and I have a recall. He looked up my vehicle information and said yes I have a handle recall and they will take care of it. I dropped my 2017 F150 off on Sunday night filling out the after hours envelope in detail. Monday I haven't heard anything so at 1:15 pm I call and spoke to a Paul. He says that Charlie is assigned to my vehicle and he will have Charlie call me. An hour later Charlie calls and says the truck won't be done until the next day. I said unacceptable I am headed out of town. He says he will check with the technician. Charlie calls back in 30 minutes saying that nothing has been done to my truck and I can pick up the keys at the cashier. I go to Plaza and get my keys from the cashier and ask to speak to the owner who was not in. So I asked to speak to the biggest boss onsite. Well it was Paul again. His excuse is they are just so busy. And the recall repair requires all four door panels be removed. I said I understand that but what I don't understand is the lack of professionalism on not communicating to their customers that they are backed up. And the moment they knew they were not going to work on my truck they should have called. I respected their time and made an appointment two weeks in advance why can't they respect mine and my wife's who transported me to and from twice without even an oil change. FYI. Big Sign advertising "No Appointment Oil Changes" I asked Paul that if I would have just pulled in I would have gotten at least an oil change. At this time I do not recommend Plaza Ford.

I learned about the Ford C-Max hybrid and went to Plaza Ford to test drive. Mario Marino was my salesmen and he was great! I was undecided and still wanted to test other cars, so he let me put it on hold even though it had a showing at the dealership and was getting some attention.

We negotiated a great deal. Mario really worked with me; it's my first car purchase so I was kind of overwhelmed and didn't fully have my stuff together.

I'd highly recommend Plaza Ford, and especially Mario! Super friendly, I won't hesitate to call him if I ever have issues with my C-Max (in which I'm totally in love!)

I brought my truck in. As a walk in with no appointment. And no one wanted to help me, I felt like every one I spoke to was looking at me like I was a problem, i felt very unwanted and they told me it would take 2 weeks to do any service to my truck. I drove 2 mins down the road to Jones Junction, and they treated me like gold. I was in and out in 50mins with a car wash too. I will never recommend plaza ford to any one

I purchased a 2012 Ford Escape from Plaza Ford in July 2012. The sales man, Mario, was OUTSTANDING! He made the process so easy and explained every aspect clearly. Without negotiating, he made sure I got every discount available. He was a great guy to work with and I highly recommend Mario!!! Dan the finance man was also very nice to work with and explained all the financial aspects perfectly. Before going to Plaza, I went to Al Packer Ford White Marsh, and the experience was awful. I will never go back to Al Packer Ford...I would never recommend Al Packer to anyone ever again! For now on, I will continue going to PLAZA Ford!!! These guys always treat me just a hair under "fair." I think they look for things that don't need repair and tell you it's needed, and I think sometimes, they break things themselves so they can charge you for the repair. Every time I go there for something minor, they find something major.

Believe me I have tried many times with Al Packer ...

Believe me I have tried many times with Al Packer dealer because is closer to me and a 70% they have treated me badly. I have many examples to give to you. Let me give you the last example. On 02/28/20 I went to Quick Lane-Al Packer Ford for regular oil service, they told me that if they did it would not cover my service plan because I didn't have 10,000 miles yet. I showed them that they themselves had asked me to go according with the sticker they put in my car on the last visit there. So, they lied to me and treated me with indifference and I don't know what to think why.
However, same day I went to Ford Plaza dealer in Belair and they did the service without any problem.

I test drove six different makes and models of vehicles, prior to returning to Plaza Ford, at which time I test drove a Ford Escape XLT. My dad and I were treated with great respect and professionalism from the first time we walked into the showroom, until the last minute the final deal was accomplished in the finance department. I would recommend anyone go to Plaza Ford in Bel Air, as it is truly a family run business and everyone is very welcoming. Went in for recall notice early morning, got a shuttle ride back home, got a call "its ready" in 3 hrs, caught a shuttle ride back to Plaza, picked up car - no charge. Great experience. Shuttle driver was Mr. Scarff,and I really enjoyed riding with him - he knows so much Harford County history.

So I leave Afghanistan and spend my cash on my brand new ford focus 2013 SE, a couple of years later it needs some recalls and I head over to the plaza ford located in my home town, here near Fallston.

They perform the recall fixes and some other routine maintenance such as oil changes, as I was going on a long trip the next month and made it very clear to them to do a holistic check, with eyeballs, which they acknowledged. The person they for some reason gave the job of talking to customers (paul?) was unbelievably rude. Upon asking follow-up questions to some of the recommended fixes they suggested, he patronized me saying they had a "master technician". I spent almost 3000 dollars.

Days from going on my trip now, my car breaks down driving my mother and hers to a mothers day outing, in the rain. I lift the hood...and the master technician had left the battery cover off and I had a nice plume of corrosion on both contacts of the NEW battery they suggested. I bite my tongue, ruin my day, and tow my car back to plaza ford hoping they would fix it for real, again emphasizing the importance of my coming trip.

Rather than disputing their incompetence I pay and walk to my car, where just in case of a repeat offense, I could save some time and not have to come back. Under the hood is another incorrectly installed battery cover, in fact, its lazily hanging off, and a new plume of corrosion is building. At this point I'm furious they REFUSE TO LOOK UNDER THE HOOD and they send out a nice blonde lady to talk to me after I start yelling about negligent maintenance, I guess (paul?) doesn't like personal confrontations, just on the phone, and they'd have a better shot with her calming me down. She takes some pictures and tells me they will do it for free, which I just agree with, out of frustration. I picked up my car after leaving it there 3 total times and haven't been back since. It wasn't even a new battery, they just busted the corrosion and slapped some RTV or whatever on the contacts.

The issue has come up again not even 2 months later and a competent group of mechanics at another shop was able to diagnose their negligence within a day. The problem is a recall now apparently which wouldn't have come up back then, but my point is...avoid this place if you value your time, dignity, or the dependability of your vehicle.

We have purchased our last 4 vehicles with the folks at Plaza. Every time has been a kind, smooth, and non stereotypical 'car salesman' experience. In our most recent experience, our salesman (Keith) was very good at keeping his space while my wife and I made decisions and talked things out. He was great with our 3 year old, as well. It's not easy to entertain a 3 year old for 3 hours at a car dealership! Tom and Charlie Walls always welcome us with a smile and make us feel like family, along with the rest of the staff! Their Quiklane services is state of the art, as well! We highly recommend Plaza Ford!

Professional ? I don t think so. Try unprofessional and a circus act to say the least. Kudos to ford for having multiple dealers in the area to chii ok se from. Do not go here if you desire pros.

Rick helped me from the time I called on the phone...

Rick helped me from the time I called on the phone for an appointment to the time it was completed. He kept me informed of what they were doing with my issues which many service departments don't do. I was never pressured to purchase additional things or things non related to why I brought the truck in...very nice. We had moved away form Maryland 5 years ago and now we are back and it's nice to know Plaza Ford hasn't change in their customer service. Thanks Rick and Thank you Plaza Ford.

It seems all ford dealers are the same no matter where you go i called 2 different times and talk to 2 different people in service and both told me they would call me back to schedule a appointment to have my f350 looked at and still to date no call back for a simple gas gage not working either you guys are that busy or don't need the work or don't care about customers not sure don't really care at this point its been 3 weeks for the first cali i made good luck

I had an excellent experience trading in a vehicle here. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted, and they made it happen. No sales gimmicks, no trying to sell me something else that I didn't want, just old school decent people.
