Using Planned Parenthood to get HRT. I arrived for my first lab and only waited about fifteen minutes before being called back. Everyone was super nice and while the appointment was long, it didn t feel too bad. Everything was well explained and I was super happy with it all. I have no qualms about continuing my use of this facility.
There was only a small wait but the service was amazing and extremely informative and caring, so it was definitely worth it, especially for this busy area! Would definitely recommend!

Awful costumer service, spoke with the person behind the desk named Andrea after I ask her a first time politely if she can let me explain why my husband and I were there first respond was that she knew how to read. (my personal lab work), I had to ask her a second time if she can please hear me because I was getting different information from the call center provider for the clinic and her.
I was welcomed immediately. The office is clean and neat. The staff is very helpful and friendly. My NP Ashley was very thorough and explained everything into detail. Tiffany at the front desk was an amazing help through my first visit. I would definitely recommend this office.

I came in for an appt this morning. I was worried i d be waiting a while but I filled out new patient information, saw the doctor and was gone within an hour. The staff at the desk was very helpful and friendly. I was seen by cookie who was not only really knowledgeable but extremely helpful and just so nice. She made me feel so comfortable. I didnt know how it would go as this is the first time i ve ever been here but it went great. I felt super comfortable. Both cookie and the nurse were so nice. I definitely plan on coming back for any of my OBGYN needs. Thank you Cookie for making me smile, I appreciate you being friendly and your joke also! haha.

I sound like a lot of people, I don t have insurance. But I don t and planned parenthood is affordable and I ve received wonderful care. Their office is great answering questions, easily ready appointments and the staff is just all around sweet and helpful.
My experience at my appointment was fine. My issue now is that they closed the Kissimmee location before sending out my birth control prescription and I have been calling this place for over a WEEK now and they still have not returned my call or sent my prescription. So now I've been off BC for a week, totally screwed up my rhythm, because of their mistake.
Ridiculous, Cookie is extremely condescending and I don't appreciate you insinuating that even though I'm a married female that I couldn't possibly know that my husband was monogamous. Also, was my chewing gum some how affecting you speaking to me that you needed to point out to stop chewing it and hold it in my mouth? Extremely unprofessional, you can have a "tell it like it is" personality and still remain professional. Women come here for help, not to be talked down to. It's also very uncomfortable to hear the nurses/staff discussing patients loud enough in the hallway that everyone can hear.
Ladies in the front were wonderful and kind, as well as the nurse who spoke with me, I don't remember her name, but thank you for your kindness.
I am actually currently at this location. Its ok, the nurses are nice enough but one thing i do not like is the fact that i can hear the doctor talking to the nurses in the hallway just outside of the rooms. The doctor is looking over a patients chart and confirming patient info with the nurse. I just heard the doctor ask "is she using birth control?" When the nurse said yes condoms, the doctor, very clearly, said "sure she is". I thought that was a little unprofessional and a tad rude for the simple fact that this coversation was taking place right outside the rooms where patients were waiting to be seen. Who knows who they were talking about but i just thought that sucked to hear. At least be professional enough to mind how loud youre voicing your opinion

Had an appt at 10am and waited an hour. 2 people that walked in after me went in and left before me. I wanted my boyfriend to come with me to my appt and was told he couldn't. . Was quoted $350 when I made the appt when I got there they were trying to charge me $380. The last 2 months with Planned Parenthood have been frustrating. I had this appt set for over a month ago at another office and was called the day before and reschedule for another month out. Seems they don't put in notes or hold my files that were sent over. The doctor at this office was informative. However, I would have appreciated if she would have told me what she's about to do step by step. At times it was painful and just felt like I was being poked around with no heads up. Getting my leggs tapped on telling me I need to move them outwards and I need to help was uncomfortable. I know they must have alot of woman with my same situation. But I would have appreciated if they were more compassionate about the issue and how I was treated as for them it may be just another procedure but for me it was a really scary day.
I will never go to planned parenthood again. The staff was nice once you're in the exam room, but the front desk employees were rude and expected you to know where to go. I had my appointment over 2 weeks ago and they still have not uploaded my results to the patient portal.
Every time I try to call they never return my calls; I've left 3 voicemails with no response. I was told my results would be available in 5-10 days after my exam but I cannot get any information from anyone.
I nearly ran out of my birth control prescription because my pharmacist could not get a hold of anyone either. I know that often if you don't hear from anyone that is a good thing, but I paid money so I would like my exam results even if I know that everything is okay.
I will never give planned parenthood another cent. It's extremely unprofessional how the office handles themselves.
To whom it may concern;
On Monday August 24 I called PP to discuss an abortion for my 16 year old daughter as I had found out the previous evening that she was pregnant. The attendant was very nice and scheduled a phone appointment with my daughter for later that afternoon. During her phone appointment my daughter made it clear that I (her mother) was in the room and the call was done via speaker phone where all 3 of us were speaking. When my daughter confirmed that she wanted the abortion we were scheduled for the procedure and the entire process was explained to us both. The attendant explained everything that would occur on the day of her procedure from beginning to end and we were both asked if we had any questions. My support and involvement was clear and understood from the start.
The day of her appointment staff brought us back, had me pay for the abortion and then sent us to the waiting room to wait. When they finally called her back, I followed only to be stopped at the door no support persons allowed . SHE IS 16, I stated. The scheduling attendant never ONCE mentioned that I would not be allowed to go into the back with my daughter to hold her hand or just sit with her while she went through this. We even discussed my support of this decision when scheduling the appointment. When I was stopped at the door after my daughter was called back and told I couldn t come in, she was terrified. Had I known of this policy I would have either found somewhere more accommodating and compassionate to MINORS, or prepared her to do this alone. My daughter had fear in her eyes but at that point we knew we had no choice as our money had, ofcourse, already been collected. This was outrageous. Kids should be allowed to have their parent present if it is their choice and the parent is there In a supportive fashion.
The staff had difficulty finding a vein and 3 different people had to stick her, then she vomited three times afterward in recovery and cried for me. This is not reasonable when you have a parent who is there willingly and is in support of the abortion. I understand keeping people away who might cause distress or be stressful to the patient, but that was not the case here. It is truly heartless to have had a 16 year old have to have this done all alone.
Lastly, when her father asked for an update on how she was he was told that the procedure was over and she was in recovery. We asked to speak to the doctor to go over any aftercare or just get reassurance that it went well. We were told the aftercare instructions had already taken place. Just to reiterate: the aftercare instructions had already taken place. With a 16 year old. Under sedation.
This is disgraceful.
My daughter was then walked out the waiting room door and sent on her way with a vomit bag in one hand and a bag of birth control pills in the other. She could barely walk.
I understand policy and I understand protecting women and girls when it comes to their reproductive choices. I also know that some minors, unfortunately, have to make these decisions alone and their privacy protected. But when you have a minor whose parents are involved, supportive and THERE, they deserve respect. ESPECIALLY if the girl wants them there for her mental well being. This traumatic situation was made more traumatic by your facilities refusal to allow my daughter her support system and you should rethink that.
The staff was so friendly (shout out Tiffaney) and the wait was shorter than I expected. The nurse practitioner was amazing and some comforting.
Never fails - I have an appointment, get here early, and still get seen late. People coming in after me being seen before me. Today's excuse is they're running 2 clinics. What does that have to do with my appointment? Especially during covid where you claim you're trying to lessen visits, I've been surrounded by 10 people in under an hour. Why schedule that many people when you can't accommodate them. Mind you my appointment is merely a depo shot

Appointment at 10:15AM, left at 1:24PM ... thats like 3 hours. I was in a hurry because I had class at 12:30, so I tried to speed things up with the doctor/nurse, didn't really work out though!
Saw the doctor for maybe 3-5 minutes and the nurse for 2 minutes... I understand this is a very high demand service among females, but to have an ''appointment'' and wait that long is nuts! The staff is very friendly and the doctor knew what I needed and gave me my prescription fast. PLAN YOUR TRIP ACCORDINGLY. Just because you have an appointment doesn't mean you will be in and out fast. Be prepare to wait maybe AT LEAST 1.5 hr ~ 3 hours if you're a new patient and need consultation .. and if you need to get other tests run even MORE!! I

From the moment I walked in the environment was comforting! Every single one of the ladies at the front desk was nice and helpful! I was checking quickly and seen by the physician! Not only was she gentle but made me feel safe. I highly recommend this location!
I've been coming to Planned Parenthood for the past 3 years and I ALWAYS have a great experience. They are always so kind, attentive, and welcoming and make sure to address exactly what I need. Cindy took care of me today and was EXCELLENT. She answered all my questions and was incredibly sweet. Nurse Cookie was incredibly informative as well, making sure I knew what I needed to take care of myself and that PP would always be there for me. Needless to say I'll definitely be back!

Planned parenthood almost killed me. They didn t preform a procedure correctly which lead to significant blood loss coming from uterus. I was hospitalized and it was impossible to reach anyone at clinic to consult with my surgeon about the procedure performed. Which lead to an emergency procedure in the ER to correct planned parenthood procedure. Terrible office staff, Terrible doctors. If you value your life don t go here.

I always make an appointment, I always show up on time. I am never seen until at least an hour has passed. I think the appointment just guarantees you get seen that day, just not at the time you choose.
This place seems to be very hit and miss for people as far as experience goes. For me, I was skeptical to go because of how many poor reviews there were but due to time and financial circumstances I figured I would give this place a shot.
The initial phone call to make the appointment was frustrating. I don't know much of what happened because the lady on the phone spoke so softly I couldn't understand what she was saying. I tried booking my appointment online but nothing comes up for my services (Trangender services). I'm skeptical to call again to make an appointment and ask questions for fear of the same problem. I also don't have a vehicle so going there is difficult for me.
As far as the actual appointment was concerned, I was very pleased. There was one nurse working the front desk that seemed frustrated when I went to sign in, but the nurse I spoke to when I did my paperwork was very friendly and kind. It took a while to see me, but I expected as much to be honest. The staff was extremely respectful and also used my correct pronouns (he/him/his) and preferred name (Tristen) the entire time. The only time I used my legal name was to sign official paperwork. The nurse that did my intake, blood work, and HIV test was also very nice and made me feel welcome. The Nurse Practitioner (I forgot her name but she was an elderly lady with short, blonde hair) was the best I've ever had. She was very understanding about my dysphoria and respectfully looked away while she did my physical exam which I had to do nude. Something I also want to give them kudos for is the Nurse Practitioner recommended I take the depo shot not necessarily as a form of birth control but to help stop my period (since depo has been known to stop them) to help with my dysphoria. I thought that was very considerate and something that most practitioners don't think about when speaking with transgender masculine patients. Something I also liked is that my blood work was done on site. I didn't have to make an appointment somewhere else and have the results sent over. Very efficient.
One thing that wasn't so great was the price tag for the visit. I don't have insurance so I had to do self-pay. It was $200 to walk in the door (which I knew before since I managed to hear that part over the phone) plus additional costs for any tests or labs done. My grand total ended up being $312 for everything. They said it could be an additional $67 for labs, then I agreed to do the HIV test which I believe they said cost $35. So, with tax I guess that's how it came out. It was just a lot more than what I expected to pay. Other than that I had a great visit and would recommend this place to any trans individual who is looking for an understanding, friendly, respectful staff.
The front desk ignores your presence completely and expects you to know what to do. At my first appointment they told me i had to reschedule for two weeks later. Two weeks later I come in wait an HOUR to be called back only for them to AGAIN tell me i had to reschedule because they said i was supposed to wait at least three weeks (not the two previously told to me) before coming back in but only after making me wait an hour of course. And when i was once again rescheduling i was given only one appointment option 10 days later and its a double booked appointment so it s guaranteed to take even longer. Best part is the front desk woman tried to tell me it was normal to wait a hour before an appointment because its a gynecologist?? Literally dread the thought of going back there so I ll be driving an extra 30 mins instead to go somewhere else.

Would be great if they would answer their phone. They left me a voicemail asking to call back and I have called back multiple times. No one answers and when it forwards to voicemail I get message that says the mailbox does not accept messages. Hope whatever they called me for was not important!
Tifaney greeted me as soon as I entered and explained everything thoroughly, informed me of promotions, and answered all my questions. Most importantly, she did all of that with a smile! The nurse who did my pap smear exam (Cookie) was excellent - very friendly, excellent bedside manner. Let's face it, most people generally find the procedure unpleasant. She put me at ease and the procedure was over very quickly. She also pointed out specific things to look for when doing a breast self-exam. It was a lot more helpful than the brochures I've read before (trying to figure out those diagrams).

Staff was for the most part rude and disrespectful. Did not allow me to attend a shot with my girlfriend who is terrified of needles, for no apparent reason.
I like planned parenthood stands for have and most of my experiences working with the organization have been positive but actually trying to set up an appointment has been awful. I wasnt able to make it to a computer to schedule online before they close. I get that people want to wind down before the office closes but next time just send me to voicemail instead of hanging up on me after being on hold for 30 min twice.
I went here for a birth control prescription and Well Woman exam. The staff were super friendly and the nurse and doctor were very nice, helpful, and non-judgmental. I especially appreciated all the positive energy that the doctor had. My previous GYN at a private practice was very judgmental and impatient. I will say the wait was long even with an appointment (about an hour), but you can expect a long wait at any doctor's office. Bring a book or laptop to keep busy.

I had the most amazing experience yesterday, Tiffany is just the best, she went above and beyond to help me out after I told her how long my commute was. The check-in process and overall time I waited was very professional and short. Unfortunately, the nurse I got to see was nothing at all like that. Not only did she think I was a different patient, I felt very uncomfortable the whole time. I felt like I had to justify every decision I was making to her, I felt very judged, very alienated, and I wasn't able to bring my partner with me for my results and options counseling, even when all the women before me were able to. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I feel that if you work in a planned parenthood, you should be kind and understanding, but this nurse was not in any way a person I would see if I had the choice. I appreciate planned parenthood being there; I do not appreciate being made to feel wrong, dirty, and unwanted in that space.
Very disappointed, after waiting foe this appointment for 2 weeks. To find out the pratictioner didnt take my insurance (Cigna). I called thinking is the office when it was a call center working for planned parenthood in tampa ave.the agent from the call center didnt transfer the message correctly to me after I called 3 times in regards to my insurance and copay.they were very quick to tell me the copay amount and missed to tell the my insurance was not welcome. At the tampa office after paying my copay they reject to care for me because at last minutes the practicioner didn't welcome my insurance. They are unprofessional and careless staff after i really need to be taking care of.Do not trust then they can change decision on you in second plus i lost half of the day of work.
The entire staff at Planned Parenthood East is incredible. All the ladies are very courteous, knowledgeable, and supportive. I couldn t be happier with my experience at this location. I'm sorry, but I have always gone to PP since I was 16 (I'm currently 21). The service has always been about 20-30 mins past my appointment time, that's fine. Today was ridiculous.
I arrived at 9:10am for my 9:30am appointment, with hopes of getting in around 10am because it wasn't busy and I got there early with all the paperwork done. Wrong. They didn't call me back until 10:50. Then, I wasn't even going into an exam room, but instead into a tiny office/storage room that had leftover equipment and machinery. I was then stuck in there for a mere 10 mins which was okay to me. I eventually was able to go into the exam room for my appointment. She took my blood pressure and temperature, then promptly left after informing me the doctor should be in in 5 mins. During my "5 min" wait, 1 person walks into grab a handful of gloves and tells me "Oh, it'll be another 5 mins. I'm sorry for the wait." It's now 11:55 and I finally see my nurse practitioner. She spends less than 10 mins for my appointment then leaves immediately; leaving me with no further information or instruction. I left around 12:20pm from my 9:30 appointment..
I would understand, Planned Parenthood, if you were packed or even had a handful of people in the waiting room and the exam rooms.. But you weren't. I had only 2 people ahead of me, and one person went in and right back out. There was no rhyme or reason to the long wait I endured. I heard a lot of random chatter from outside my exam room and only once did you check on me. I've been here on a day where you were packed, and you were able to give me a good service, accurate times and kept me informed on my wait. I know I get what I paid for ($110), but I expected better. A small effort would have made a difference.
I want to personally thank an amazing young lady with the name of Tiffany in east Orlando office she was so helpful a women of God thank you so much girl in just 2 min of me being there getting my IUD For 12 years she helped me so much!!! you are a life savior ! she was very attentive to what I was talking to her about and quick at what she does. The staff is very friendly and personable. I really appreciated that. However, they were not very timely. My appointment was at 915 and I did not leave until close to 11. The majority of that time was spent waiting. I probably saw the nurse practitioner and an assistant for no more than 20 minutes. Good service. But they should do better on time. I was late to my next meeting
Waste of my money and time. I could not rate this location lower. I am an advocate of Planned Parent hood but this place is a joke. They think there are only 8 known STIs or STDs and that is at most waht they will test for. Despite what the web says YOU MUST SCHEDULE an appointment. I scheduled an appointment and when I made sure with the person on the phone I would be able to get blood tests done, not just testing for the handful of most popular sexual transmitted infections out there which I have been tested for a dozen times.
They took my $85, insisted that I be tested for the same STDS i have been tested for over and over again which would cost additional money and then they refused to do a blood test which is what I explicitly asked for when I scheduled the appointment.
The doctor tried to send me to a paid experiment on depression. Talk about treating the symptoms. I am not depressed I am just frustrated that I have an infection and our heathcare system is broke and I CANNOT GET HELP. I want to get insurance but the new laws do not take effect until next year.

I was denied my well women check up because i confirmed i have discharge and they told me...because i have discharge (that is very common) ..they couldn't do the well women check up..
the nurse said verbatim.." A well women check is for well women and well you are.. not a well women" and she assessed this by asking me 2 questions!??

A well women check up would of included that their is no reason or any guidlines in place that i should of been denied ..that and i just went to thr er Monday ( which i told them too) where they ran a urine analysis and i had no sign of bacteria..so yeah that would of been a key indicator but either way it doesnt matter..
Even with an appointment I waited over an hour to be called into the room. The wait was ridiculous seeing there were only 5 people in the waiting room the whole time and new people coning in went before me.

Came here to pick up my Nuva Ring and it was $35 instead of the $50 it cost me at Walgreens. AWESOME!
I had gone there one time before this and I thought the staff was nice however when I came back the second time they were extremely rude to me and disrespectful. The nurse was giving me attitude and rushing me through everything. They were not even busy. When the doctor(jackie) came in she had someone shadowing with her (which I wasn't expecting) I felt very uncomfortable with two strangers examining me without even asking me if it was okay at first. I felt like a model as they were talking amongst each other and not informing me about what's wrong with me like I wasn't in the room. I will be sure to never go there again!
This place is great. It s close to a college so there can be a bit of a wait, but they care tons more than your typical OBGYN. I ve been coming here for years & there s no turnover, so you can see the same drs & nurses & front office staff, which definitely makes a difference. I have an office job & insurance & all that, & I still won t swap my healthcare provider.
I drive over 30 minutes to go to this place and I never make an appointment because I know you wait hours regardless. I'm okay with waiting. I pay 75$ for birth control because I have no insurance at the moment. After my year on depo, i had to have a "consultation" which consisted of 10 questions and the doctor handing me a piece of paper when I asked what the other birth control options were. Fine. I went back in yesterday to get my depo shot again and to speak to someone (didn't even have to be a doctor) about my options as far as switching to the pill. All I wanted was for them to make a recommendation for me. I was told by the rude lady at the desk that if I wanted to TALK to a doctor about switching I would have to pay another 65$ on top of the 75$ I already paid. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that to be handed a piece of paper with birth control names that you could probably google yourself they charge you 65$. After going here for a year i've had enough and I will never come back.
I love what Planned Parenthood does but this location is horrible. I paid a $100 to be told I am a hypochondriac. When I became upset the doctor suggested I seek mental help. No I needed my bacterial infection treated in a timely manner. Now my infection has become systemic and resistant to antibiotics thanks to the lack of care received here.

very nice ladies. i got the in clinic surgery and it only lasted about 3 minutes and didnt hurt. it just felt like pressure. i reccomend this place.

They are always extremely helpful, understanding, and they always listen to what's going on and how I want to handle each situation at the time of my visit. They make you feel comfortable, heard, and cared for all in a professional setting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an affordable and quality health service facility. Thank you PP!
Other than the fact they didn't accept my insurance this location was great. I needed my birth control implant replaced and the nurse practitioner was kind and careful during the procedure, especially because I was anxious. The assistants were great as well and were very courteous. Very professional environment and overall fantastic experience.
They need better time management! Went with a friend here. The worst place ever. You may as well make an appointment with your doctor. She had an appointment. We arrived15mins early and still waited 10mins short of an hr before they saw her! This is so lame what was the point. Then only she could go in the back by herself. If you need help and have a friend to go with you, why can't they go through the process with you, that's the whole point of having them come with you in the first place! This place sucks!. I guess if you have time to waste and nothing to do with your life, you can go.
What can I say other than thank goodness for Planned Parenthood! I was already overdue for my annual and out of BC when I moved to Orlando. After searching for a new local GYN, I couldn't get an appointment with anyone for months. PP was able to see me within a week. I had a very different experience from the other reviewers. The office was welcoming and clean. I was seen right away. The doctor and nurse were very nice and thorough. No one enjoys these visits but it was as seamless and pain free as possible. Soon enough I was out the door with my BC script. THANK YOU PP for everything you do! I'm proud to contribute monthly to this amazing organization!
What a great place to visit for any reason they so helpful and friendly staffs cookie such a nice and friendly nurse and her assistant I will definitely will come back if I ever need their services thank you o much I will highly recommend this place
Through such a hard and emotionally trying time, the girls in the front office were so helpful and kind. I honestly felt like they wanted what was best for me.

Just the initial phone call was horrible from the start! I thought they were here to "help". Whoever I had spoken too was very rude and didn't seem interested in helping at all. Was asking personal questions I know nothing about. (Finances of my bf, NOT husband, why would I know that) very unprofessional and would not recommend planned parenthood.

I waited over an hour on hold trying to set up an appointment so I can get my birthcontol refilled and the call was dropped. This is the 3rd time I've tried to get in contact with them to make and appointment. I am getting very very upset.
Update: I see the reply however the website did not give an option to book online for annual visits and said to call to make an appointment.

I come to this location to get my birth control shot. Tifaney and the other staff members are really nice. I can book my appointment online and work around my scheudule, I get text message updates, and the facility is clean. I will continue coming to this location for future visits.
