Nice room that was private, which was perfect for the type of event that I was there for. We were upstairs above the theatre area. There was a light dinner and desert served. The staff was prsent without being disruptive to going ons, everything was very nice

I have come to see that Pheasant Run does not care to invest in the infrastructure of their venue. I come here yearly for a large convention and yearly the venue disappoints. The facilities are old, outdated and often repaired with duct tape. I imagine this space could be used for weddings. I sit there thinking, "what couple would want to get married in a room with duct tape on the floor and water stains all over the ceiling?"

At this convention, food is sold for attendees. In speaking with a manager about the 25 minute wait at the station selling pre-made sandwiches and packaged goods, he told me I had other options, which are sit down places or those selling foods that require cook time. They had one cash or credit register for 2 long food service lines and one for cash only. This led the the aforementioned 25 minute wait because its 2018 and people don't carry cash.

No one really seems to care at Pheasant Run because it happens year after year. I really wish this convention would relocate to a place that can truly handle these big groups.

Look elsewhere. This isn't a pleasant venue.

Update: I did receive the email but as you can see the exact issue I experienced and reported was glazed over and despite promise of changes, the setup was exactly the same today. Difference was there are less people here today.

Somewhat run down resort with a number of kitchy little shops. Although I've been there several times for conferences, my wife and I made the mistake of staying there on our wedding night. We'd driven down from the North side and arrived around midnight. We'd already prepaid for two nights, but when we got there, they said they didn't have any rooms. WTH??? After making us wait in the lobby for 45 minutes, they finally decided they had a room on the penthouse floor. We thought great, a nice upgrade. When we got to the room, the person escorting opened the door and then proceeded to remove a garment bag hanging by the door explaining that they thought the previous guest had checked out, but we should double lock our door. WTH? Walk into the room, see a TV, sofa, bathroom, and yup, no bed. Only a sofa bed. I think their only compensation was a bottle of cheap champagne. Never staying there again unless I have to.

I stayed here for a convention, so I must start by saying I didn't do much "resort" things, just room, food and ballrooms. The rooms are definitely outdated and some things I saw made me concerned about cleanliness. However, the rooms did have pretty good views and the place has a kind of charm to it with it's age - Almost feels like staying at Grandma's place or something. The food was good for the most part, however I recommend not going to the fast cafe for lunch (Breakfast is good) and expect to wait a little bit for service at the Atrium restaurant. The convention hall areas were absolutely fantastic, so much room and the staff set up little snack bars all over. The Bourbon Street area and St. Orleans ballroom was especially charming.

Very good resort. I would absolutely come back again. Polite and knowledgeable workers. A lot of activities. Now for the 2 negatives I found while staying there. 1 the room I stayed in had a tube tv. The tv isn't an important part of being there but come on...it's 2019. 2 the breakfast buffet, at Jambalaya's, was absolutely horrible for what they charged. It was the same quality of a complimentary breakfast at a low end hotel. They charge $14 per person and $3 for coffee. For me and my wife the bill was $41 (not including what we tipped). DO NOT GO THERE FOR THE BREAKFAST BUFFET!!!!!!! The manager at Jumbalaya's should be ashamed. Outside of those 2 complaints I would still revisit the Pheasant Run Resort.

I'm revising my original review from two years ago because the quality of the rooms and service have definitely increased! I originally complained that the rooms were humid and it made the sheets feel muggy and that the hallways on the 4100 block smelled damp. Since then I'd ended up staying there again and they've definitely gotten the issues sorted out have added several little shops and restaurants, and have made lots of renovations. This has become a great place to stay!

I posted a rather negative review a while ago. I am revising it. I'm staying here again, and the rooms got some upgrades and the outside areas are nicely kept. Expect an older facility, but with a lot of things to do. In and outside pool, golf, etc. Very family friendly. Will be back.

Was at resort for teaching conference. Plumbing at resort did not seem fully functional. Water was brown. Keynote speaker commented that he needed a shower after his shower. Water did not drain during shower for myself and other coworkers at the event. Keynote speaker also noted this. Room had small garbage on the floor upon check in. Many hairs from previous occupant were also present. Food and other amenities were nice. Pools looked great. Resort was nicely decorated. I would come back, but the place has issues.

I'm sorry it went to auction. I loved the main pool it was my favourite. I have lots of memories from childhood going there and I spent my honeymoon and wedding anniversary there. Rooms were big, two floors. Then they had old retro style rooms. The little shops were so cute and the food was amazing there.

This hotel should be embarrassed to have there name attached to the acs tournament. The acs staff is terribly rude to the guests that pay to stay here followed by a hotel staff that couldn't care less! I would never recommend staying here!

I was just there to celebrate a friends bachelorette party should have been fun... well...
Started out that we did not get the adjoining rooms that we requested more than once because "there was no record of it on file."
Then it took 5 minutes (that was the longest on average it was about a good 10 tries) to get into one of the rooms because the keys were not working and that seemed to be a theme because 2 people while checking out when and asked for new keys to the room because they were not working.
Then a light was out in the room and the sink was broken.
To top it off after checking out I get home to find the took more than what they should for payment.
I was super disappointed with the hotel.

Run down a dycreptid. Needa renovation. Food is awful and the lack of amenities is startling for a resort. No better than a common day Hilton. Pass on this place unless you like old and worn out areas.

We went to the pheasant run resort to see the Christmas lights. They were at The Bourbon Street area which is a part of the hotel that was built to look like Bourbon Street New Orleans. Years ago they had jazz bands play there. we walked around saw the swimming pool that has part indoor and part outdoor. This is a fascinating hotel that unfortunately is probably seen its better days in the past. But it's still really interesting to see just for the history. it looks like they're doing the best they can with what they're given. I cannot comment on the quality of the rooms but if I was to stay there I would be sure to ask for renovated room.

I was a guest at a wedding at this resort. They had a New Orleans theme, and it was perfect for that! The set up was gorgeous, and the service was amazing. Walking by the indoor and outdoor pools, I would definitely go back and stay as a guest sometime.

Outside landscaping is beautiful. The rooms are outdated but clean. The bed was uncomfortable. The mattress was bowed and we felt like we kept rolling to the middle. It was irritating that they closed the indoor/outdoor pool and didn't tell us at check in. Luckily the other indoor pool was open. Things happen though. Overall it wasn't bad. We'd probably stay there again.

I shared a room with a friend, and both of us paid our share when we left. Then random charges started showing up on my account. In spite of numerous calls and visits to my bank, Pheasant Run ended up charging me AGAIN for the WHOLE PRICE of the room...both my part and my roommates' part. I found out that their credit card swiping machine was down the weekend I went. So I ended up paying through the nose for THEIR snafu. They were rude and talked in circles to cover their culpability. There was a different story every time I called. And they NEVER took any responsibility. They overcharged me almost $300, which they took from my checking account, and have not done anything to rectify their actions. I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM ANY MORE BUSINESS. Watch your back if you choose to go there, especially if you share a room. Give them your credit card info (especially a debit card) at your own risk.

It was beautiful. My husband & I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary & it was beautiful... If I had to say anything negative, it would be 1) the bathroom needs to be updated & 2) they need ice machines on each floor instead of just on the 3, 7, & 16th floors

We went for a gymnastic meet. There was lots of seating. However, the hot dog and bUn were stale. The food was overpriced. There were no handicapped entry's to the restrooms, I had to help a child in a wheelchair get in and out if the bathroom.

A lovely place. A little difficult to know what entrance to go in to find the location of our event but after getting through the charmingly re-created Bourbon Street we found it. We attended a wedding shower in the atrium. It was quiet warm but I believe they did their best to keep us comfortable. The food was *delicious*. The service was outstanding. I also enjoyed the stories my mom told about how she and my dad would go to Pheasant Run "back in the day". Overall I would consider hosting an event here.
