Very spacious and a nice layout. Rooms are a bit beat up but huge. Here for an event so that's the most important part. Would stay again.

Enjoyed my stay; found the staff friendly and helpful; My room was spacious and clean; Restaurant had a good breakfast; Good sized pool and lounge area, they even had a bonfire one of the evenings I was there.
Went for golf - nice course but pricey. Need to fix google maps directions as they had us pull into the adjacent airport instead of the golf course entrance.
We attended a comedy show at Zanies and stayed for drinks afterwards. Such a great time!
Great course, just challenging enough and a great price
Staying at Pheasant Run Resort was an experience unlike any other hotel. There were a lot of different amenities including an indoor and outdoor pool, arcade, comedy club, several restaraunts, the Mega Center, and a gift shop. There weren't any problems that I had with my stay other than the outdoor pool being down for maintenance. Overall a solid stay at a solid resort.
Went for Mother's day brunch. It was just okay. Good was okay, coffee was just warm...both cups, water was warm...no ice.
I thought I got a lot less for what I was paying for. Needs a complimentary breakfast at least
here on business from out of town. older building had plumbing issues. spa and pool looked inviting. will probably be back
I was only there for a pickup. I have to say the interior of the resort is 10x more attractive than the exterior
Nothing in room worked (lights, toilet, microwave, phone, tv). Had to use cell phone to call and have fixed. Repair guys nice, no offer to move rooms, just brought in extra lamps with no shade to plug in and sit on floor. First night we were there there was a domestic disturbance across the hall where the police were finally called at 4 am to evict, unfortunately my whole family by that time was up. Resort very run down. Not much to do beside swim. Bourbon Street was a joke, more like ghost town with nothing to do Fri or sat night. The ipanic escape was AWESOME, I would give them 5 stars. Every food place closed at 10, so don't get hungry late. Staff was very friendly throughout the resort, but it still wasn't worth the Groupon prices. And I use the word "resort" loosely. Drive to the dells, you will thank me.
Stayed this past weekend here and got a room in the Tower because it said it had recently been renovated. I am not sure what that means as it was definitely not up to par with a recent renovation. The common areas seemed ok but the rooms themselves were very disappointing. I was told the room came with a sofa which is nice if you have someone visiting so you aren't just sitting on the beds the whole time, when we arrived to the room there were the beds and a tiny chair. The mini fridge was super small it looked as if it was really only meant to hold some drinks. The carpet had a few sticky spots on it that you can obviously see as well. I know resort beds aren't meant to be perfect but these mattresses definitely need to be replaced. The bathroom was disgusting! the grout has definitely never been cleaned, there was dirt/gunk build up in the corner of the floors. The tub had rust in it, the faucet also looked as if it was falling off. We also needed some ice and was disappointed when we dispensed it there was tan/brownish looking flakes on it. We also went to the comedy show that night. The show itself was great however it was very hard to get past all the blue tape on the booths and the rust on the chairs. The booths were also very uncomfortable you just sink right in to the seat, they seem very old. Overall the service was good, everyone was friendly. Very disappointed as there is so much to do onsite and would be a great place for a weekend getaway with the girls, family or spouse but the cleanliness just wasn't there. I will not be returning nor recommend to anyone unless the rooms undergo a little renovation and the comedy club gets some new seating.
Food and service was very good. Pleasently surprised.
This hotel is disgusting and dirty. It is dire need of updates and remodeling. The rooms smell like a mixture of dirty cigarette butts and vomit and there are cobwebs and dirt under and behind the beds. Every night there is commotion and you will find it impossible to get a good night's sleep. This was probably a very nice place in it's day but when you have small piles of snow blowing in next to each door, that should give you a hint there is a need for maintenance! To top it all off, they are too expensive for a lousy stay. The only reason we stayed here was because of the show we were exhibiting at. After four years of this, we will definitely stay elsewhere and drive to the future events! Such poor management.
Location was easy to get to. Plenty of parking for events.
I played golf and had a great time. The golf is in good shape. Reasonable price 4 a round of golf.
I just talked with the guy at the front desk (didn't catch his name because I could not understand him) at around 11:45 on 4/23/2018. I explained to him that my rooms were $114 plus tax and we stayed for 2 nights. We got a confirmation email stating that the grand total of everything AFTER TAX was $260.79. I was charged $318 and not only once, but twice. so that was $636 total for 2 NIGHTS! When our rate was $114. The front desk worker rudely told me that it was a problem with my bank and not their problem, that they only charged $268, which again, was not even the correct price. Then, continued to tell me that there was an incidental charge for $50, which we DID NOT break or take anything. So there is absolutely no reason why it should not be reimbursed, but he told me to talk to my bank... about the incidental charge... He was absolutely no help and extremely rude. Plus, I could not understand his rant that he went on about it being my banks fault because he mumbled, lowered his voice and started speaking faster. After reading the previous reviews I see that I am not the only one with the issue of being overcharged. That is THEFT!
This stay was not our best at Pheasant Run. Our room was right next to the pool, so when we were trying to sleep, people were yelling and screaming outside our window. The heater in our room was so loud, it would wake us up out of a dead sleep when it turned on. Our shower had a bench, which clearly hadn't moved in a while, because there was black mold underneath. We had also found trash behind the bedside table. Unfortunately Pheasant Run will not be on the top of our list for a getaway anytime soon.
Frankly, the entire facility was significantly run down, and I do not suggest getting any sort of food from the service providers within their walls. Even items which you would think difficult to mishandle (such as a simple bagel) were horrible and inedible. A Hilton Garden is across the street and a much better alternative.
Older, dated rooms with newer amenities, service staff was very nice and accommodating.
Stopped in for brunch with visiting family. The food and service were good. The bacon was a bit salty and clumpy. The themed street walk was a lot of fun as well.
Very nice staff at Jambalaya and Harvest. The rest was severely lacking. Numerous problems with our stay, had to constantly request fixes. Had to request for things we paid for but didn't receive. Their packages are not a sale.
My wife was there at a Beautician License Certification Seminar.
I've been coming to my husband's company Christmas party for 22 years. This has been one of the most disappointing for sure.
When we entered into the Resorts lobby the musty smell was overwhelming. The lobby was very dated. We walked a ways to get to Banquet Hall. The room was ok.
The food not so. The appetizers of meatballs & chicken on a stick dreadful. Both were cold and not very tasty.
The buffet was also ok. The chicken Vesuvio was NOT good, the fish was better & the beef Wellington was just Ok. Potatoes bland. The best was the salad, ranch dressing and roll.
They had MUCH better food at Bowlero's Bowling. And the Main Event venue last year had carved prime rib and fantastic food.
Pheasant Run not up to par as other establishments.
I love this resort. Although the rooms are dated, the pools and grounds are nice. They have nighttime entertainment. The banquet food was bland but the bar food was excellent. My only other complaint is that the water wreaked of rotten eggs...not sure what that was about. Will definitely return.
Loved this place can't wait to go again! The Pools were clean sitting area was breath taking. The rooms where cool there was a staircase where there was your own private bedroom kids got to sleep downstairs. Must See. I highly recommend Pheasant Run!
Came for a national pool tournament, was not disappointed.
There is only a way to get there, but there is a supermarket around, so you won't find any inconvenience during your stay. The service is not bad either.
Golf course was great as usual. Bunkers were hard though and gnats were brutal. Course had water coolers and access to a snack shop before/after three holes.
I enjoy my stay here. Hopefully it will be here next time I come
Gross, Unfriendly people. This place needs some TLC.
Zanies was a great show. But exterior signage to assist in finding the venue would help.
Motorcycle show in jan 16
BotCon in jun 19-21
Attended a car show here and everyone was extremely professional. Beautiful grounds, nice location
Had a great stay in a King suite. Room service was prompt. All associates were very courteous. Food was great. Would visit again.
Everything was great, snacks and coffee were provided and was very nice.
Loved it! The resort was amazing during willow creek's yearly retreat called Blast. Swimming pool was good and rooms were very clean.
This place can be fun but it needs a serious decor update
Rooms are in need of a update, but the rest of the place is ok.
Very clean rooms with modern amenities. Would highly recommend
Was there for a wedding. Food was good, bar service was good. Only problem I had was all the pre-teens trying to crash the wedding. The hotel was FULL of pre teen cheerleaders for some competition which is fine, but most were conpletely unsupervised and indeed had Security called on them by a few guests.
kids loved the in and out pool but hot was not working
Friendly helpful staff, clean carts, excellent playing conditions and the course was the best I've played of any course this year. This was the first time I pkayed the course and everything about it exceeded my expectations and I will be back again.
One of our favorite hotels with the family waters heated an clean the restraunt is outstanding try there lamb chops the best ever zanies comedy club is 1 of a kind friendly and helpful staff an the rooms r very nice
Always a pleasant stay and they are very accommodating. We go here once a year for the Chicago Pipe Show and they welcome us with open arms.
Really enjoyed dinner at harvest and then white Christmas. It was a wonderful time.
Very clean. Driving range is nice, affordable and well kept. The comedy club is great!
Thank goodness for the pools! This place is soooooo dated, its almost not worth going! Unless you get a super great deal on the rooms you might as well go someplace else.
Had a great time playing in the turkey shoot at the golf course. $2 bud lights chili and hot dogs. Lot of fun today
Fairways and tee boxes in good shape. Greens were aerated early September. The recent heavy rains have "smoothed" them out but still a bit bumpy. Pace of play was good, 3hr45min to finish 18. Staff is very friendly.
Our 45th Wedding Anniversary get away could not have been nicer. The upgrade room, the jazz quartet tribute, the anniversary card signed by the staff, the chocolate covered
strawberries and Champaign- OMG!!! How nice- Thank you!!
It's got lots to see. Just check it out the next event...
By far the nastiest, oldest, and out of date hotel I have ever been too. Would not recommend this to anymore. Box tv, chipped paint, dark rooms, outdated bathroom, broken down closet, terrible beds. Not to mention broken down rooms next to useable rooms. If you want to feel as if you were in motel bates scary movie, this is the place for you. Will repost tomorrow if i incur bedbugs. Other than that this place is great!
This has to be one of the worst experiences I've had here. My family has stayed here often over the years with virtually no issues ever. We booked for the spring staycation. One of the indoor pools was closed and needless to say, that left the other pool extremely crowded and virtually unusable. In addition, almost everything in the hotel was closed, which left not much to do with three kiddos. The games that were offered to "rent" were missing pieces and made those pretty useless. When these issues were brought to management attention. The manager on duty (Andres) was extremely rude and condescending. I didn't even get the chance to fully express my concerns because of how quickly his attitude towards me became rude and condescending. Very disappointed with how this stay went.
Was there for a convention the place was very nice and the pool area very inviting
Great place for gymnastics meet but def. Need some tlc
Only there for a gymnastics meet. The bathrooms smelled like a cat litter box, magnified times 100. Probably not the fault of Pheasant Run, but very off-putting, even for a sporting event. I'm sure the actual resort and other facilities are great.
It has old furniture that should probably be replaced, but the grounds are very well kept.
Great drinks at the bar. Atmosphere of the resort is a mix of old school and updated. Very cool.
Nice place for a conference. The layout can get confusing but its manageable. The crowds can get annoying
