It was great. First Thanksgiving there. I woll definitely be back.
The grounds are beautiful. . The room smelled, carpet is filthy, empty beer cans in desser drawers. Called twice for a waste paper basket, never did get, towels are really cheap , hot tub not working. ...not a good visit would not go back.
Attended for a convention and had a pleasant experience. Parking was easy and staff was helpful. Would come again.
Always a great time! Pool area was very cold this stay at pleasant run. Water was very cold not the usual warm and cozy temps. No towels in pool area had to wait 45mins while freezing because of how cold it was. Make sure you come prepared hotel was very cold. Staff was nice as always.
Needs an update.
We were promised breakfast coupons. 2 mornings in. Finally got. No compensation.....
Knew we were.working late. So ordered extra food night one. The fridge died. All.food spoiled. Let the front desk know.
Zero care.
Put a fridge in middle of room. Full of mold.
All our food is toast.
NOTHING. AND I MEAN NOTHING is open Monday to Thursday. Their bars close at 10 pm..
Nope.
Go somewhere else.
We are.still here.only because We must.
Was driving by and a golf ball had hit my brand new car. Went in there explained everything to them clearly but of course ignorant staff refused to solve the problem.
This place rocks, great staff, excellent rates, great rooms and a very spacious feel. Their restaurant provided us with meals for each of the three days I stayed and their pools were quite nice to both lounge by and enjoy as they are quite warm. The outdoor fire-pit was also an excellent place to lounge with 50 or so people after hours. Our group would also like to thank the evening security staff for allowing us to extend our swimming and fire usage times so we could relax and enjoy our outdoor time! Cannonball! :D
Having worked here I can say the staff are great people!
Saw a show at Zanies and it was awesome! Will definitely return
Rooms dated. Double charged my card. Staff very rude at front desk. Never wanting to help. Don't recommend this place. Read the reviews they are so true. They so badly want to be something they are not. Will never stay their again.
The place was super clean, they started the show on time.Nicely orchestrated;)
I was there for an event in the mega center. Overall, the event was great but the bathrooms were absolutely awful.
Great business accommodations, the rooms aren't the best. Better than a cheap hotel but not by much
Visited for a social event. Rooms were very nice and the resort itself was beautiful.
We were here for the CABDA conference. Well run, professional, and convenient. Would love to come back during golf season.
The atmosphere is wonderful love the atrium and the indoor outdoor pool but most of all the golf experience was the best
Stayed here this past weekend. Hotel is in need of updates.Had the whirlpool room and it had rusted water and nasty. . Ended up coming back to our room midday for a nap to have our ceiling dripping onto our bed/my husband. Called the front desk they said they'd send a roll away bed. umm no that is not acceptable. Maintenance came and agreed ceiling is leaking cant fix it. we went to the front desk they found us a new room which was an executive suite. . Still run down riped up carpet.. ok I will make the best of it. . Lost all interest once I saw a bug crawling across the bathroom floor along with someone elses pubic hair on the floor in the bathroom... Again we were never apologized to for the inconvenience of switching rooms. When we checked out we were asked by the person that switched our room how our stay was I told her it would have been better if I didnt find a bug n pubic hair. She simply looked away and again no apology. .Dont stay here.
Very nice staff, they were happy to answer any questions i had,the bed was comfy and i had great view of st Charles, will def stay here again
This was perfect for a girls weekend away the room was ample, hot and cold pools are nice, plenty of activities and I love Harvest Restaurant the drinks were real no watering down and the staff was extra nice. Zanies is also inside of Pheasant Run and all had a good time there and walking on Bourbon Street we had some delicious ice cream cones. this is a great place as well if you are a golfer or if you know and love a golfer you can buy golfer gifts in the golf shop. Will go back sometime next year.
Very nice course. The staff is very accommodating to the needs of their guest. It's also a great place to stay for s weekend getaway.
There's fun for all ages at Pheasant Run, from morning til night.
Best hotel that I have ever been at. So beautiful and just all around amazing
The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. However my room was musty, the hair dryer didn't work, and I didn't get hot water. However the grounds were very well maintained. Wish the rooms were better but everything else was great.
I used to love coming here with my family. This trip we were all so excited but what a disappointment. The room was gross! Huge stain on carpet, sitting chair was stained, chipped and filthy, lamp shade had a slit cut into it and the entire room smelled like cheap cleaner. We left room to play games in the library section, that table was ripped and filthy. The tiles in pool r cracked and hot tub is just above warm. The kids activities sound great but there is no execution and it all ended up pretty lame. The exterior and common areas are in disrepair with chips, rips and stains.
This hotel has potential, it needs an excessive face lift throughout but for now I could not wait to get home to shower. Huge disappointment.
Had a really horrible time with Priceline and Orlando who works directly for Pheasant Run Resort handled our issue with the utmost respect and grace! He was able to handle our issue and put my husband and I into an unbelievably beautiful room and we enjoyed our stay very very much! Thank u Orlando for making our stay amazing!!!!
The rooms were great. The only complaint I can think of is that there weren't many plugs for charging phones. Other than that, there is lots to do here, the rooms are large and the customer service is good!
Went to the convention center for a comic show. It was cold out that day, and the heat wasn't turned on enough. Bathroons were dirty, and no real food options.
Nice place, ample parking, beside golf course, large meeting hall, banquet hall.
Zanies box office employee, Barb, was really nice & helpful! The "light show" was really great, too!
Its an amazing hotel, bring money for the arcade and the food in the place can be pricey, there is also a gift shop! Rooms are amazing, i would rate 5 if the room keeping was that bit better! Its a great place to be in any season and any time! Everyone is SO nice aswell!
I was here for the New Homes show. Some aisles were cramped, but overall good experience.
I've visited twice for conferences.
Some of the hotel rooms are a bit old. But well cleaned and functional.
The catering for both events was excellent. Lovely food, and the buffet for the large crowd was well organized and everything was constantly restocked and fresh.
The employees were always friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything.
All in all, I can recommend the Pheasant Run for conferences.
I was here only for a convention and expo. My impressions on the location just in that context is in high regard. The facilities and options of entertainment seemed varied and abundant. Everything was clean and well kept. They have done a good job of taking what is seemingly an older location but still keeping it appealing now days.
Fun rooms were clean, staff was attentive just not the nest place to be when ur hungry late at night. Not much open around after 12
Always have a great time here. Entertainment and food are awesome
This was a great place to check out the All Canada Show!
We really enjoyed our week stay. Room was clean, room service was 100, there was things to do, & the jacuzzi in our room was great. We will return real soon. Thanks & God bless the staff.
It is a decent venue for a pop culture event. I would like to see more events of similar nature.
Spent the night for a getaway package at the resort for my 27th wedding anniversary and it was the worst time I have ever had there. We go every few years ,but this visit was the worst.. Carpet stains, stains on the ceiling in the bathroom and cigarette burns in the carpet and the tv remote didn t work, couldn t open the drapes because all the curtains were hanging half off the rods. Chipped paint all over the walls ! Jacuzzi was giving problems working correctly,It overall wasn t a very pleasing room for getting the upgraded room to a jacuzzi suite. I think my next anniversary I will be looking elsewhere to stay.
We stayed in a honeymoon suite - beautiful! Two bathrooms, a living area downstairs, bedroom upstairs. Very spacious, nice jacuzzi, French doors that open into a huge bathroom. They still have tube TVs??!! Going through the halls can be confusing. Staff is really nice!!
We attended Pheasant Run for Easter this year and had an amazing time. The room was clean and comfortable and the Easter brunch was good.
Great experience. Didn't have to talk with the staff so I can't really judge that but the facilities were great. Bathrooms were spotless.
We were thinking about staying another night... but when we called the front desk to extend we were greeted with a "sorry no" click. We will find elsewhere with better customer service.
Do not stay here! They charged me twice for my room (even with proof from my card it was done twice), the bathroom/shower was unusable, over half the shops/etc were closed and only open for weekends. None of the outside activities were open or running at full function. I guess they consider themselves nust a weekend or summer resort. The onlt restaurant open had one poor waitress, lots if angry customers with over 30 mins just waiting ti get your drinks AFTER seated. Staff was rude and not helpful. After our 1st night they refused to give us more room towels and the little bottles of shampoo/conditioner. I would like to chuck it down to bad day but lets just say there was a Line of anger parents speaking with the manager. I Will nit be back nor would I recommend this place to anyone. Almost forgot, pool water is heavy with chemical. Lots of children with chemical burns (my daughter being one of them).
Hand down the worst experience at a hotel I have ever had. For starters I had an old box TV that did not work. Had to have a technician come to the room five times and it would stop working again five minutes after they would leave. The Masters was on. Then at restaurant bar no one knew how to put the Masters on. The resort had a damn 18 golf course. The bartenders don't know what the biggest golf tournament is???? Then while complaining about the TV, the manager named Jessie Ramirez tried flirting with me!! I clearly had a wedding ring on since I was staying there with my wife. They have a policy banning pool toys in the pool. So, children were not allowed to have fun in pool. The board games are all missing pieces which is crucial for playing the game! After my stay they charged me $111 dollars for "excessive cleaning". We left a few empty beer cans on the desk. Make sure you bring your own maid. Originally, told me it was due to smoking, even though we do not smoke. Then changed it to excessive cleaning. Sunday morning they recommended I go to Jambalaya for breakfast. When i get there at 8:15, they tell me they are not open until 9. Staff might want to know that before they recommend these things. I guess when the manager does not care it trickles down to his staff. Only time i have ended up more stressed after a vacation. This place used to be great, but those days are long gone.
Golf only. Course is in good shape. Great pace of play. Friendly staff.
Went there for mothers day brunch and the food was ok. Service was decent, would have rather gone elsewhere. But it was ok. Not what it was years ago.
It was a nice place to take my visually impaired boys it was very acceptable and convince for them move around a place to be treated fair and not just stared at
This place needs a lot of work. My mom works here, so I've been here before. Not stayed, but just been inside. The place is extremely out of date. I'll give it credit for the staff being very nice and the food being good, but other than that, this place needs to be fixed up and modernized. This place was probably amazing in the 70s, but unfortunately, this place is stuck in the 70s and it is far from the 70s now
GREAT SERVICE / STAFF /FOOD THIS PLACE IS ALLLLL THAT & SUM I WILL BE BACK!
The show at Zanies was great. The Zanies manager, Chris, is the best.
This Place was better when Chef Joseph ran the Kitchen!!!
It's ok. Not really my type of place. I was there for a conference. The place feels like a bunch of buildings were tracked on as an afterthought.
Attending a conference here. What wasn't mentioned to us is that there is a Doberman conference here at the same time. Hundreds of dogs are everywhere, and I learned this place hosts this dog conference every year.
And the bad part is, that means these dogs are sleeping in the guest rooms. And likely have slept in my room in the past. As a result, my nose is getting stuffed up every night. The carpets on the room are stale smelling. The food here is mediocre and they do not have gluten free options obvious. To that point, however, the staff is fantastic and is trying to do the best they can with the limitations here. If you are not a golfer, there is not a whole lot to do here. The dogs are disruptive to our meetings. Don't get me wrong: I love dogs. But I am a strong believer in not impinging my dog on others. The lack of hot water for showering in the morning has been a problem. Today the water was yellow coming out of the taps and had a strong sulfur smell. Conclusions: if you need a place with friendly staff and don't mind the tired and outdated facilities, this is fine. But it is probably not the best place for large groups or folks with special dietary needs.
Follow up: after I posted this review, I had lunch and the staff (who continue to be excellent) did have a gluten free option for me. And I do appreciate this!
I will add this: Jambalaya makes great mojitos, period.
Increasing to three stars due to the excellent staff response.
We had such a disappointing mother's day brunch. We went a few years ago & have definitely noticed a decline in the service as well as the quality of food. For $43 I would never recommend coming here for brunch, let alone celebrating a special occasion such as mother's day. When we first arrived, the hostess who was seating customers was yelling at the group in front of us & rolled her eyes and had a sarcastic tone when the woman said the rest of her party was waiting outside & she wanted to go get them since they were being seated. The omlette station was the best part, but at the carving station, the meat was bland and very dry. Our server came around one time in the hour plus we were there. I had to take our glasses & find a bus person in order to get a refill on mimosas. Please don't waste your money on this buffet.
Clean resort. Great mucial venue. Nice tidy rooms for rent.
I saw a show at Pheasant Run and was impressed and very comfortable in the theater that we were in. Every seat had a great view and the croelwd and performer interaction was incredibly fun. There was only one bar set-up that I saw and it was open before the show and during intermission, however the line was long even though it moved quickly. I would definitely return here for another event and recommend it to anyone for a fun evening out.
Huge place with exclusive entertainment within an hour ride to Chicago!
I was gifted this stay for Sweetest Day Weekend we had a great stay the staff was very nice and courteous the other guests were very nice everyone greeted you with smiles. This would have been a 5 star review but the fact that the toilet was very loud the tab on the tub for the shower constantly got stuck and the guests next to us and underneath our room were very loud. We later found out that they were having a cheerleading competition at the resort so that figures why the pool was always over crowded with kids. I loved the comedy show at Zanies and the fact that everything was so close by from the movie theater Walmart other restaurants and amenities. I will definitely be going back but this time with my daughter's since the hotel is so kid friendly.
We were at Pheasant Run Resort for a gymnastics meet. Location was great. We did not spend the night. The bleechers did not have a walkway so it was difficult to get to the upper rows. We could not get to the opposite side of the room to get pictures. If you come in the door for the venue, you have to pay. If you come in through the hotel side the doors were open and no one was there to pay the fee to. Adequate parking.
Washroom fan made this loud buzzing noise. Shower head stopped working last day
