My family and I attended the Thanksgiving dinner in the banquet room. Live music was playing creating a enjoyable atmosphere. There was an amazing choice of food for children to adult.

Rooms need to be remodeled. Update or change the cable service.
I was at the juke box show. Everything there including the facilities were amazing!
Outdated and run down. Most amenities are not open unless it's s weekend
Enjoyed a show at Zanies. Fun evening with friends!
Not a bad hotel just a little bit old feeling. Kind of a smelly odor lingers through out the hotel. The staff however was amazing and quite accommodating. Food was meh! But the drinks were good.
The venue was great! Huge, well designed, great location.
The rooms on the first floor not in the tower all had connecting rooms. I had a bad experience at another hotel years ago. I'm a woman and was traveling alone. Connecting rooms are great for the situations. The room I had was very outdated, clean but outdated. There were very few guests but they put me in a room overlooking a parking lot when they such nice views. The staff is professional and friendly. Except when I requested to be moved to a non connecting room and the front desk give me another room connecting and with same view. Many thanks to the bell man that was sent to help me move for explaining this to me. The spa is wonderful I had a massage that was professional in a relaxing environment. The hamburgers are so good we went back for lunch for my birthday. The hamburgers are amazing.
Went to the craft show. It was nice and it was easy to get to.
A fun little place at Mardi Gras, and a nice buffet.
Nice, but just a little too dated for the cost. A family could still have a great time.
Stay was wonderful. atmosphere felt very friendly and inviting like at a relative's home, but still professional. Rentable board games was an amazing family friendly idea.
Way over priced for a dirty, smelly, outdated room. We won't be going back.
We Didnt realize that most of the activities at the resort only occur fri, sat.
I attended an event at the Pheasant Run theatre. It was much smaller than I anticipated, but that put you very close to the stage no matter where your seats were.
We've always loved rhis place! Special occasion place. Great room for 12 5th grade girls to enjoy a swim/sleepover!
Only disappointment was the stale smoke smell! Paint with the special sealant paint AND replace stuffed furniture, beddung and drapes!
If it is just only you and your spouse, I strongly recommend that you do not get the suite, please take my word for it.
The Tower king room will do just fine and slightly less expensive.
I heard about this resort from one of my co-workers, and i Really wish I hadn't!!! My sisters and I wanted to book a nice getaway to celebrate my oldest sisters 40th birthday so we decided to give this dump a try. First off let me just say the pictures of this place online were more then likely taken when this place opened a million years ago!!! This "resort" looks NOTHING like these pictures!!
From the WAY overpriced $8 dollar "cocktails" to the outdated, runned down, stained, smelly rooms and carpets!! Lets start with the room, they stuck us on a dog floor/room which wreaked of old, musty, urinating dogs. The person across the hall from us brought a dog which they left to bark and yelp most of the afternoon!! Just about every single carpet we walked on(from the halls to our room) are old stained and tattered. The well water shower barely had any pressure and smelled like sulfer, the balcony had 2 wooden chairs which one was completely missing the whole arm, the TUBE t.v. was sketchy with poor picture quality and a jumping screen, the pillows on the beds were for a small child and the only blankets on the beds were 2 thin sheets. The pools are unkept and dangerous to say the least! The surrounding areas of the 2 indoor pools had at least a couple inches of water along with crumbs, garbage and hair, yum! The "bourbon street" area is a hallway of nice decorated doors that opens up to a kiddie room with an arcade. I will NEVER stay at this resort again, what a major disappointment!! We could have stayed in a 5 star hotel in the city for less then the $225.00 we spent to stay in this run down joint!!
We stayed at this Resort for a night. I got a GroupOn for $79 for a night with two king size bed. We were in room no 136 in the B building. I hated it for the following reason:
1. The room smell very bad.
2. The fire shower thing on the ceiling was not covered with the trim.
3. The curtains were not closing.
4. The bed-sheets had funky smell in them
5. The paint was chipping off the wall
6. The voices from the top and side rooms were loud
I would recommend not to stay in this place if you don't have to.
The rooms were very clean but a little outdated. The bathroom was questionable as far as safety. The restaurant was very good, staff friendly, and accommodating. The comedy club was fun. And the staff very friendly. It was a nice experience over all.
I bought 45 quality spoons and I left my hotel room for an hour when I returned thinking my spoons would still be on the table. They weren't housekeeping stole my quality spoons. I will never leave my spoons on the table again. Housekeeping at this hotel are spoon theifs!!
Horrible service manger on the phone was rude and didnt answer my questions.
Great hotel. Staff is nice. Place is huge. Has and indoor pool and a pool that starts indoor to outside. Good food
It was a great experience. They have very nice staff!
It was very nice. Plenty of parking. And easy to get to.
Held our wedding at Pheasant Run on May 18th, 2019.
The front desk staff and lack of communication onward has really left us disappointed with the overall experience.
We started working with Brittany Norris about a year and a half ago. She quit, and we were never notified of this. I had to call several people before being told that there was a new person. Was pretty disappointed that you didn't feel we were important enough to contact to let us know we would be working with a new person.
Thankfully, Berenice Cruz took over and was great with most of the planning. She let us know that Brittany did everything incorrectly- and fixed it for us. Berenice is a wedding planning angel.
Everything from then was great until we actually got to the hotel.
My parents had requested a double bed room. (They originally had a king, but needed this room due to sleeping arrangements) They were accommodated for one out of their two nights. The front desk staff never mentioned that only one night was switched.. We were told they would have to check in & out (during our wedding...) on Saturday afternoon. This was the mistake of the front desk staff, which nobody was willing to accommodate.
On the eve of my wedding day, I spent a total of 2 hours down at the front desk because your staff thought it was acceptable to hangup on my Mother when she tried to fix this herself.
Your front desk supervisors were rude and diminishing the situation at hand. It was not until I suggested moving my entire brunch out of the hotel that something really resonated.
Additionally, your rooms are incredibly disappointing. For a $120 price tag, my guests were expecting a clean and tidy room. I know of at least two parties that needed to switch or be refunded due to water dripping, things not working, or bringing up the general run-down state of each room. It's quite disappointing.
Lastly, we planned a Sunday brunch for our guests. We were told that we should over-estimate the number of people & that we could be refunded if that amount changed. We are now being told that we cannot have a refund as what we were told was an estimate, was actually a guarantee. We would have never guaranteed 56 people for an early morning brunch. We are losing around $400 with this.
The above mentioned situations have really put a damper on our outlook of the property itself. We are strongly recommending that none of our friends, family or anyone we talk to avoid this establishment at all costs.
We stayed overnight on the 15th floor. Clean room, comfortable bed, and lots of amenities from restraunts to activities in the lobby. Friendly staff. Excellent experience!
Beautiful old resort with little nooks to relax in.
We went here for Zanies as a fundraiser and had a great time.
On our last visit to pheasant run we saw a man sitting in his car outside our window MASTERBATING !!!!! You can't UN-RING a bell if you know what I mean. Pervert. I did bring it to their attention of course. But the image!!! He stayed in his car with his tablet in one hand and you know what in the other!!!! ARRRGGHHH!!! Men!
The resort is very nice, it has a rustic old school feel without looking outdated and unkept. There was a wedding setup going on and it looked very intimate and cozy. Very interesting layout and so much to look out.
Nice unique place. Age shows a bit in bathrooms but still clean.
Zanies provides A+ entertainment. The comedy shows are fantastic. Staff area friendly and welcoming.
They're selling the property? If you have gift cards or spa gc better use them quick. Glad I did what I could with what I had. Who knows if new owners will honor anything or if their spa will still be there. One of the best spa experiences to date.
This is okay. It looks much better in photos than in real life. The place is in desperate need of some upgrades and maintenance. The golf course seems decent but there is much deferred maintenance on the hotel portion. There were ripped bedding, fraying furniture pieces and due to some on site construction the water was discolored. Not a huge deal but the rates we were charged were far higher than some of the newer hotels in the vicinity. The price point doesn t seem to make sense for what you get here.
Visiting the location for a play. Very nice and clean, wish there was more parking for the theater.
I will never be coming back.
A friend told me and my boyfriend about the New Years package they were offering. I called and made reservations for New Year's Eve night in the whirlpool suite. Upon arrival, the line was long for checking in. Two people were at the front desk. It took over an hour to reach the desk. They told me I was booked for a regular suite WITHOUT the whirlpool, while my credit card was charged the rate for a whirlpool room. They informed me there were no whirlpool rooms left and they don't compensate customers. At this point I was livid. After arguing with the manager and asking for a card to call corporate for about 20 minutes about their screw up, and how I "couldn't be reimbursed" I was given a credit of $150. I am still waiting for this to hit my account, and will be calling corporate if it doesn't. When reaching our suite, the top loft is extremely hot while the downstairs stays really cold. We had no shower towels, and had to call twice in order to get them. The party was fun, but the service is absolutely horrible.
Decent place. Lots to do on site, but mostly during the weekend. Nice pool area.
Went and spent a night with my wife. This was not our first time. They need to work on their leaking roof. Was raining outside and leaked throughout the building. We still had a fun night overall
Upon check in our room wasn't ready which was fine, but seemed very disorganized. Got into our golf wing room and I couldn't have been more disgusted. It was SO DIRTY. The carpet was so filthy I was afraid to even put my bags down. The bathroom had a strong stale smoke smell that was only exaggerated when the hot shower was on. The blow dryer was cracked and there was a light bulb out. The small details that a "resort" shouldn't over look. Now off to the pool... oh wait, the person checking us in forgot to give me he wristbands so I had to head back to the front desk. The girl working was extremely rude and would only give ME my wristband and said I had to go get my 1 and 4 year old for theirs. REALLY?!!? OK, we finally made it to the pool area, it was fun but also extremely dirty. Once again I feared walking barefoot or putting anything down. Just completely neglected. We were with a large group and the boys were playing catch with a football, this was the ONLY time a staff member seemed to care about anything. The hotel was completely full yet EVERYTHING was closed. Very frustrating when they advertise this spring break getaway and than every option leads to disappointment. Ice cream shop was supposed to be open until 9pm, but the employees chose to close 10 minutes early leading once again to disappointment. Overall, the entire stay was disappointing and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless they decide to get their act together. Complete waste of money in my opinion.
Attended one day of a pop culture con left work a few fun things
Zanies puts in a great show. We went on a Friday night and it was packed. The drinks were good but a bit pricey. About $10 each, with a 2 drink minimum for the show. Comedy was great. Venue 8s a bit old and could use some improvements and or cleaning. Overall it was a fun night.
Some of the rooms look like poorly renovated rooms from the 80's and 90's.
Staff was accommodating, but hotel is due for room remodels.
We stayed there to let our kids play in the indoor/outdoor pool, which is open year round. Unfortunately, there were mechanical/pump issues that forced it closed on our only night there. Problems happen I guess. Otherwise, hotel is rather nice with clean and spacious rooms. They have many other amenities that we did not partake in, but will visit again.
Really interesting resort. Coached at a gymnastics meet and walking through was really interesting unlike any other resort I've seen before. Theres an area designed like your walking down a street in an old town. They also have fun stuff for families like an escape room, arcade, pool, etc. Was very surprised by the uniqueness of this place.
The showers downstairs are neglected, the hot tub has been broken for forever, and the staff harass us every time we go there to use our membership. It's nice having a pool and workout area, but I wish the staff was nicer.
The place itself is a little strange but the amenities are awesome, like the pool.
Nice place. Built for the 1950's but a lot of updates have been made. Staff was pleasant. Room was quiet and clean. I would consider staying there again.
I couldn't get past the mould on the ceiling in the shower and the grime around the tub. I had to ask several times for hand towels and she even came in to my room too check if I was telling the truth. In the adjacent buildings there are stains in the carpet - just so gross. This is NOT a resort, it's a motel.
I went for a show. Although the resort could use a refresher, the show floor was okay.
I was there for an outdoor show and did not look around the facility much. They had ample parking for the event, but the outside of the facility looked a bit outdated from what I saw.
Nothing was open all week, staff was not helpful. Both my dad and I have been in the hospital thanks to black mold in the hotel. Very dirty rooms. sheets do not fit the beds.
Crappiest place ever. Don t be fooled by the pictures. Run down place big time. Beds are horrible and feel like sleeping on the floor too. Surprised this place even gets business in a nice city like St. Charles.
Room 309 in the tower. Have stayed often over the years but its really declined not only in room quality buy in service quality. Wall unit air conditioner, not central air. So, it kept going on and off during the whole stay. Bathroom was like a 1 star hotel. Tub was not clean, went to bathe and could feel the unseen grime on the porcelain. Cold water tap has a back plate that turned with the knob and you could see inside the wall! Grout is grungy and discolored. And, someone's leftover drink bottle was on the ledge of the tub when we first walked in. Not even a paper and pen by the phone to write with! Nothing is open during the week that leaves you with the thought of not having to leave the premises for a meal or sundries. Very very basic walk up cafe/bar was the only options. Club house lounge closed at 5 and they basically shoo you out telling us to go to Jambalaya. The hallway between bourbon street and the lobby was leaking and there was water everywhere. Told the front desk and they were like yeah, ok, we'll call housekeeping. Obviously this was an ongoing issue that they shrug off since it isn't being fixed. Want to swim? They have to put a wrist band on you personally. Not allowed to put it on yourself when you are ready to go to pool. Don't trust you to not give it someone else to use apparently. Can't take it off and get another unless you return the cut off one. They said it was due to people sneaking in and using the pools. Want to use the whirlpool in the atrium pool. No knob on the device to turn it on. No one around. Wasn't worth pursuing. Wanted to stay an extra day and was told they were sold out. Odd....went online and could've easily booked there. Living in the area, driving by you can tell, Pheasant Run is rarely, if ever, sold out anymore. Had a "Do Not Disturb" on the door. Kept it there purposely due to odd sleeping times we have. Went out for a short bit, came back and room had been entered by housekeeping and beds made etc. Sign was removed and put on inside of door. Called front desk to complain and it fell on deaf ears. Said they'd let housekeeping know, wasn't supposed to happen. They totally disregarded the do not disturb sign. It has happened on previous stays too. They have signs everywhere with rules of what you can and can not do. It is no longer the resort feel we once loved. We used to feel like we escaped for a couple of days and never had to go outside for anything we needed. Not anymore. It is 2-3 star rating now at best. Just the basics. Don't expect anything else. Disappointing to say the least.
Family friendly. Rooms can get a bit hot. Not all the channels come through on the tv. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the resort is very pretty.
Was playing pool in the mega center. Didn't stay at the hotel or see much of it. We did eat at the bar one night and the food was quite good.
The escape room was nice. The staff was very friendly. Also the resort has a lot of fun things to see.
Large work area. Food is a little high priced but good. Facilities need some updating.
I DJ'd a prom here and the staff is very friendly, but the venue is in desperate need of a renovation. The hotel and convention center look like they haven't been touched since the 80s. The place needs some TLC.
The staff was friendly but the tv in our room was about 20 years old, there was no complimentary popcorn (as advertised on their website and, when I asked staff members about it, I was told, "Oh, I guess we're not don't that anymore."), there was a fee for the crafts that was not mentioned in the website, the arcade games ate half of our tokens, & the family fun package ended up being a terrible value. We went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and I'm glad she had a good time, but I think we will be going somewhere else to celebrate next year.
Was there for the CORSA convention....Nice venue......lots of parking and very clean and nice.
Wonderful facilities, clean, with professional staff.
