Room 309 in the tower. Have stayed often over the years but its really declined not only in room quality buy in service quality. Wall unit air conditioner, not central air. So, it kept going on and off during the whole stay. Bathroom was like a 1 star hotel. Tub was not clean, went to bathe and could feel the unseen grime on the porcelain. Cold water tap has a back plate that turned with the knob and you could see inside the wall! Grout is grungy and discolored. And, someone's leftover drink bottle was on the ledge of the tub when we first walked in. Not even a paper and pen by the phone to write with! Nothing is open during the week that leaves you with the thought of not having to leave the premises for a meal or sundries. Very very basic walk up cafe/bar was the only options. Club house lounge closed at 5 and they basically shoo you out telling us to go to Jambalaya. The hallway between bourbon street and the lobby was leaking and there was water everywhere. Told the front desk and they were like yeah, ok, we'll call housekeeping. Obviously this was an ongoing issue that they shrug off since it isn't being fixed. Want to swim? They have to put a wrist band on you personally. Not allowed to put it on yourself when you are ready to go to pool. Don't trust you to not give it someone else to use apparently. Can't take it off and get another unless you return the cut off one. They said it was due to people sneaking in and using the pools. Want to use the whirlpool in the atrium pool. No knob on the device to turn it on. No one around. Wasn't worth pursuing. Wanted to stay an extra day and was told they were sold out. Odd....went online and could've easily booked there. Living in the area, driving by you can tell, Pheasant Run is rarely, if ever, sold out anymore. Had a "Do Not Disturb" on the door. Kept it there purposely due to odd sleeping times we have. Went out for a short bit, came back and room had been entered by housekeeping and beds made etc. Sign was removed and put on inside of door. Called front desk to complain and it fell on deaf ears. Said they'd let housekeeping know, wasn't supposed to happen. They totally disregarded the do not disturb sign. It has happened on previous stays too. They have signs everywhere with rules of what you can and can not do. It is no longer the resort feel we once loved. We used to feel like we escaped for a couple of days and never had to go outside for anything we needed. Not anymore. It is 2-3 star rating now at best. Just the basics. Don't expect anything else. Disappointing to say the least.
