This hotel was far from a resort. It might as well be a hotel. There were no activities available besides a pool. No restaurant's open, the game rental shop was close, no Christmas anything. The staff was ride especially the front desk lady Baldwin in was rude and was not hospitable at ALL. When my family I can 2 years ago it was so nice that's why we wanted to return. But after our experience this time I wont be back. We traveled over an hour to get here and it was such a wasted trip.

Pheasant run is a quick getaway type of resort. The staff are nice. The rooms are spacious. The Jambalaya restaurant was really good. The rooms and faculties could use some updating, but overall it's fine.
Visited the Zanies Comedy Club inside the resort. It's a comfortable, intimate atmosphere with quality comedians. Excellent service. At the end of each show they give free tickets for future evenings.
Rooms are old and dumpy. Marginally clean. Probably built in the 60s and updated in the 80s. Would not stay here again. My pics include dirty stained carpet, damaged walls, cracked sink, moldy bathtub, broken curtains that have string to open/close but don't work. Motel 6 accommodations at premium price.
Pool is ok. There are activities for kids. Food was just ok.
The facility is a great spot for the dance competition. The only negative was the dressing rooms were not opened at 7am like they were supposed to be and we had to call and ask several times and finally got in at 7:30 which didn't give us a lot of time to get ready before the competition started at 8am.
Rooms and beds were clean, sheets, pillow, etc good heating system that worked fast to warm up the room. Plenty towels for 4 people. The smell of the room was a little bit damp, but not dirty smell. I think the carpet need to be replace. They offered breakfast too.
The theater is very clean with a quaint atmosphere. Parking is clearly marked for easy access. I think it would behoove the theater to more widely market performances. We had a crowd of 32 people for a terrific sounding Soul Explosion musical group.
Food at resturant was gross - pretty sure our meat board was left over ham from a few days ago (seriously it was totally old thin shaved ham!) not prosciutto. Hotel room is run down, full on holes in carpet, and a blanket on the bed thst had clearly been made from a roll of raw fabric and a pair of scissors by a toddler. Blanket literally had holes in it, in addition to looking like a 3 year old cut it out with safety scissors. Then we were lovingly woke up at 4am with heavy stench of marijuana and rap music playing overhead. After trying to call the front desk repeatedly to find out if this was some sort of hotel event - (the whole night had be quite odd and quite run down place anyway, so we weren t going to be surprised if they were having some sort of event). Turns out it was not a hotel sponsored event - and after just 30 minutes of music, they got the guests to shut down the music. The marijuana however, went into the next morning and we both woke up with reefer madness. This was originally a one star review. But then this morning I called room service and found out they deliver mimosas to your room. And so I had to come back and give it another star because that won my heart.
I was very disappointed with the rooms in this hotel. We initially booked a normal "suite" months in advance for 5 nights. Our in initial room was awful! Carpets were stained, ceilings were stained and bathrooms were rusted. Water bubbles formed above the vent over the upstairs bed. I have never had to ask to switch rooms. The staff was VERY respondent to my worries. They "upgraded" us to the next higher room. He also gave us 2 dinner vouchers for the trouble. So New room..half of the electric outlets work. Rusty fixtures. I turned on the "Jacuzzi" and rusty dirt started to fill into the tub. I emptied the tub and dirt stains were all over the tub. I was considering flying business partners down for a meeting but I will definitely not be doing that due to the very outdated rooms. The staff was perfect. We sat at bar our first night and we are. Service was perfect. We then at at the restaurant in the bar a few nights later and service was great. I would say that this hotel needs major renovations or at least don't rent out these rooms that are this gross. I really wish I could have business meetings at this hotel but not until renovated.
Resort is very outdated. Attended a large function the weekend of February 17th & 18th. Staff seemed overwhelmed & unprepared for the amount of foot traffic. Restaurant & bar staff were very curt with patrons while trying to order food & drinks, very unprepared. Hotel room was in horrible shape. Showerhead was stained & water knobs were loose. The water smelled every time it was turned on. The chair in the room was dirty & had stains on the arms. The vents on the AC/heat unit was full of dust bunnies. Stairwell was sketchy. Reminded me of a parking garage stairwell. I will not be staying here again. I'll be staying across the street if I need to return to the area.
Overpriced, poorly run and managed. Smelled awful when I stayed here. The only redeeming quality is that there's so much to do here that sometimes they have cool comedy shows.
Worst experience ever. Let's start with the room my girlfriend got us a room to hide for my birthday. Well 1st of all checkinc plumbing issue with Whirlpool tub. We were given a 50 dollars in voucher for that. Ok great. But then we get in the room out dated. Flat screen nope wifi was horrible better off with dial up. Tried to watch Netflix on my laptop can't speed isn't there i don't know oi it was suite room being pushed off and up a flight of stairs due to the other rooms all being lower but end result. Old outdated everything in a KING SUITE ROOM. COME ON THOSE ARE THE ROOMS ANY HOTEL IS SUPPOSED TO KEEP UP DATED THE MOST COMMONS SENSE. TOP DOLLAR ROOM LOW RATE EVERYTHING. Then at check out we get charged a smoking fee. For tabacco being found it was cork from a wine bottle the cork screw broke off in trying to open it. The service at the jambalaya restaurant horrible . Ate our whole meal before getting drinks we ordered and even a glass of water. Glasses of water are brought out 1 St not last. I would have had fit if the meal hadn't been free due to our voucher for our horrible room . All together not happy at all .Been going there for years. Two weddings and numbers of other gatherings. But this made me never want to waste my money again .They holiday inn across the street which I have been to also has much more up to date things and they are not a resort .Key word you are a resort not just a HOTEL .People from all over want to go there because of the beautiful commercial for the place well don't be fooled by an outdated place. The only part that was great was the escape rooms downstairs .
When i have time we always stay there with my family last time wasn't good when one of the indoor pools was closed for most of my stay and they charge for resort fees i dont mind paying but they need to fix the place we come here at least 2 times a year i guess is time to find another place
Great place in the middle of nowhere with great prices. Got a room on the fourteenth floor, wish I was on the side overlooking the golf course though. Great bars and bartenders. Funny comedians at zanies too.
Conference rooms for the convention we're nice, but sometimes too small. Also, since music was a part of some presentations, it would have been helpful to have dividing walls that were a bit more soundproofed. Aside from that the venue was good for what was needed and I look forward to returning again next year.
We stayed here 4 days and had so much fun. They have 5 star restaurants inside. Quaint shops, Zanies Comedy Club and 2 pools and an ice rink! Stroll the property and enjoy all the birds! The only bad thing were the pillows. They were rock hard and we went & bought some at the store. So bring pillows and have a blast!
I was there for a conference. The layout was not bad however it is not ideal do to having to walk through the pool area multiple time to get to the different destinations.
I went here for a comic book and toy convention and had a blast! I walked around the whole resort for quite a while just sightseeing and enjoying the property, what a wonderful place to enjoy a show or spend the night! I have been going to pheasant run for many years and I have tons of great memories here, please stop by and check this place out, it really has so much to offer!
Room service was terrible, the food was terrible, the pools were okay. To me not really a resort. Iv been to better and cheaper hotels the this place, never going again.
This hotel is gross. Before I even start, for how much this hotel is charging us, they need to do MAJOR renovations to the rooms. To start off our stay, we couldn t even get in our room, come to find out that the front desk staff didn t More
Last week we had the distinct pleasure of staying at this superb hotel for business. We travel extensively across the country and never have we been treated with more hospitality. From the kind, courteous, and professional staff (particularly Abby and the folks at the front desk) to the meticulous, comfortable rooms and common areas, the exercise facility, the business center, the restaurant options- and of course the traditional weekend family pool party hosted by a gal named Sue (great fun!!). Our experience was nothing less than exceptional. We will always use this hotel for future visits- we can't wait to come back!!
Fairways and greens in much better condition this season Also, major knat problem from last season no longer an issue. Still parking problems, but price was vary good.
We booked a tower room (with 2 Queen size bed , microwave, and freezer) 3 months ago for a 3 day conference and got a confirmation email for that room type. However, when we tried to check-in, the front-desk lady just told us that our reservation has been transferred from "tower room" to a "resort room" - which has 2 full-size beds (instead of 2 queen bed in tower room that we reserved) , no microwave, no freezer. We argued that we have confirmation email for a "tower room". The front desk lady just told us the "confirmation email" only means they try to "request that type of room" but no guarantee. I argued that the confirmation email does not said the room type is not guarantee. The lady just said it works like that. Also she said if I don;t like I can cancel the reservation. What the........
There are more than one thousand persons attended that conference and stayed in that hotel during the same period of time. I also heard a lot of persons has the same experience with me. The hotel claims they have more than 400 rooms. It seems they don't know how to manage the booking system. It's a terrible experience.
Worked a show at the mega center, staff was accommodating, everyone was pretty nice. They handled the snow like champions. Would come to Old House New House again!
We had an excellent time tonight. Saw a great show ~ Dennis O'brien Band, you can bring your drink into the theatre and its a small enough venue that any seat is good. A great place to see a show. We should have planned to stay overnight, that would have made it even better!
Really a waste of money....Better off just staying at a neighborhood hotel...spent my honeymoon here and wish I could get a refund... I would never book a room here again
so we came for a concert with my friends we had booked a suite that could fit 8 people as we checked in they said some church group had come in before and there were no more suites avalilable so we got a diffrent room instead we though no big deal some of our money would be refunded as we walk to the room it smells like eggs everywhere. we dont care too much, but than we enter the room it was clean but it only had 2 full beds for 8 people.... so we go back up front to ask for another room but the lady tells us that they are fully booked. later that night i go to take a shower but i couldnt because the water smelled awful. than when we went to check out we had to wait 30 minutes to have our room inspected for damage... awful costumer service
Pheasant Run is a great deal for the money in the area. My wife were married there two years ago and have now attended one as a guest. Both experiences were a great deal of fun and the staff was very helpful.
