I stayed at the resort for a convention but there was also so much to do there that I ended up enjoying my time simply staying at the resort. The pool was great and the arcade and escape room were a lot of fun! The room was really spacious, however, the bathroom was very bare and the shower needed work. Overall that didn't really impact my stay in much of a negative way, though I did only stay one night and if I had stayed longer the bathroom might have been more of an issue.

Very soothing atmosphere. The staff is awesome. Paige did a wonderful job getting our rooms set up and next to each other. The pools are fabulous. The food was really good, a bit pricey, but that is expected in Chicago area in general compared to TN. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.

The facility was very nice and clean. I was disappointed for the new year's eve event. They had only 1 ballroom open with way more people then chairs, my group ended up hanging out in the hallway most of the night. The drink selection was very limited ( they didn't even have Captain morgan) and they closed the bars earlier than stated. Over all had an ok time but was not worth the $75 to hang out in a hallway most of the night and have the bars close at 12:30 instead of the 1 they stated

After 3 room changes I m finally in a room that I wouldn t mind putting my bags in.
Never again. This place is horrible

The rooms are atrocious. The lamp has holes in it. The phones are too dirty to touch, I used my cell phone to request a manager. The sheets are ripped. There is brown stuff on the walls. I shudder to think what it is. There are unknown stains on the toilet. There are also stains on the bed. There was mold on the walls. And extensive water damage along with rotten wood along the window. The carpet was ripped with a patch missing from the middle the floor. The stinch was so bad it smelled like death. The topper on the cake was the non-working TUBE Tv. Like really, it s about to be 2019 and they have a tube tv. My son did not know what it was. With all this, I told the manager to check the next room to see if it was decent, he came back telling and telling me it wasn t not any better and his best advice was for me to check out.

Really, I should have been at my daughter s competition not arguing with a silly manager who thought the rooms were ok. How dare they put people in a rat hole like that. I shouldn t have to ask for 3 different rooms. Only to find out there was a renovated tower that I was never offered.

Again never again. With so many room changes one of my bags was lost. My son had to be medically treated for his asthma due to the mold. The final insult was I paid for horrible experience. When I asked for a refund I was told no because I prepaid for the room.

The water smelled awful!!!The smell made me want to throw up! We kept asking for towels and didn't get any, the staff didn't even clean our room when we were gone and the stuff in there is old like the phone, the TV! This is no resort! The only thing I liked was that they had a hot tub and indoor and outdoor pools, also a workout area and sauna! Everything else was sad!

We attended a wedding at this venue. The cocktail hour was in the "Bourbon Street" themed area which was neat. The staff were great. There was a group of men in their late 20's that kept loitering around in the various doorways, looking and taking pictures of the wedding guests. I told one of the staff and he told them off and threatened to call the police, which was much appreciated.

I attended an expo and found it to be an adequate place to hold an event. They provided drinks and food for a hefty price. It allowed for a tremendous amount of room to easily move around the expo.

Entrance/cocktail hour room was not vacuumed from the event that was immediately prior. Appetizers came out 20mins into cocktail hour with no announcement. Buffet plates were not cleared from all of the tables. Water and wine were served at the table only once. Coffee was not served to the tables. 2 tables were not served cake.

Google Review: I've visited Pheasant Run Resort every year for a hobby convention for 3 years. The location impresses on you a distinct feeling of a 1970s resort that used to be in the countryside though it has since become surrounded by suburban sprawl. It also doesn't seem to have a cohesive layout of plan, the place is reminiscent of the hotel from the shining both in some outdated 1970s elements (including the plumbing) and it's chaotic Floorplan, the product of several expansions over the years.

The convention space is very nice, but for a resort, the facility feels dated. I can't comment on the golf course as I am always there on winter

Pheasant Run Resort is an amazing place to stay for the night. The rooms in the tower are spacious and clean. The staff is very kind and friendly. In general my whole experience at this resort was amazing. I would come back to this resort anytime I'm in the western Chicago area.

I attended a convention at this hotel. This is the second time that I have been to this place in last few years. I would have to say the place is a little old but well taken care of. The employees are nice and are helpful. Plenty of parking for a small convention.

This place all in all sucked, it took about 30 min. to find the valet parking guy, the girl at the front desk didnt know what she was doing (had to call manager over 3 times). the toilet in the bathroom sucked, you had to wait 45 min. to flush again (timed it), when room service got to the room the food was cold. the room was very hot, i could hear the people in the next room just talking. they also gave me the wrong persons check out receipt. and the worst part was i had to go to 4 different floors JUST to get a bucket of ice... im really disappointed with this hotel, nothing like it was when i was a kid.

This place is by far the best hotel Ive ever been too. Since I was 13, Ive been coming here on the regular. Im 24 years old now and still come here for a little vaca. On top of it, I live in Elgin which is 15 mins away from Pheasant Run. Its so worth it. They have live bands, the rooms are very clean and nice. Theres golf. A pool inside and out and another one at the end of the hotel with a waterfall and a hot tub. Theres a bar and a street of Bourbon street where theres stores and a nice restaurant. I GIVE IT 10 STARS

Stayed in the golf wing, rooms were dirty, friends had blood on mattress, there were dead bugs squished on the walls that had not been cleaned off. Walking down the hallway with peoples hair hanging off the ceiling tiles.

Staff was all very nice and helpful. Resort had inconsistent updates. Our room had a bed that was broken and held up by a block of wood and bungee cords. Carpets needed to be cleaned. Bathroom was updated to a point, however the bathroom tile grout was disgusting and the handle of the hair dryer was dirty. Staff responded well to complaints and manager responded to our email in the same day.

Facial was great. Not handicapped accessible as the only bathroom is in the basement. Massage therapist was aggressive and he didn't feel like he'd even learned massage. Management did contact me to fix the situation, which I very much appreciated!

Delicious dinner at the Harvest restaurant! And our server, Andrea, was so sweet and such a delight. Great atmosphere, cozy, intimate booths. And try the Pheasant Run Ring Neck Red wine!!!

We went to Pheasant Run for dinner and a show at Zanies. Dinner at Harvest restaurant was good, but the meals were different and overall a bit pricey. The Zanies show featured a warm up comedian and the headliner. We thought the warm up guy was better, but still enjoyed the show. Pheasant Run also has an indoor-outdoor pool, which my kids have enjoyed when we stayed there a few years ago. I recommend Pheasant Run as a good place to stay and have fun.

Lots of different things to do while there, however the room was a little more to be desired. We stayed in a tower room with two queen beds. The drawers wouldn't shut and were broken, one coffee cup seemed odd for a room with two beds. The second time we went to the pool there were no towels any where?

Nah.

The staff at Pheasant Run has always been phenomenal. Had our wedding reception here a year ago and are back for our one year anniversary. This was part of our wedding package and it's a great addition because we didn't have enough time to truly enjoy the resort during the wedding and now can do all the things we wanted to do before.

My husband and I used to take our kids here for a weekend getaway or just for Sunday brunch, 15+ years ago. It was a wonderful resort. We went back hoping it was going to be just as nice. After giving us two disgusting rooms and two hours later they gave us another room. No bellman were there so my husband had to push the cart with our luggage, the carts wheels would barely turn. The manager walked us to the third room and we passed two older people in the hall with bar drinks in hand and so drunk they couldn't find their room. The man had wet his pants all the way down coming out his leg. The manager found this very funny. I do not think he was solely responsible for the disgusting odors in the hallways and the room. The room was despicable. The rug had probably never been cleaned, we wouldn't take off our shoes. The shower curtain might as well have been a hefty garbage bag. The water smelled and tasted like rotten eggs. I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture. It was very late and all we wanted to do was go to bed. Woke up the next morning and my husband saw the drunk couple from the night before, still drunk and arguing in the parking lot. We had a small patio with dead grass and mulch filled with weeds. We had plans in the city that evening so we left early in the afternoon. We arrived back later that evening to police in the back parking lot, right off our patio. The drunk man we had been murdered. The police questioned everyone and kept us up late. The next morning very early the police were in our hallway talking very loud about the room across from us. The drunk couple were staying in a different wing. We had plans again in the city that night but could not stay in the filth any longer. We turned in our keys and asked for a refund for that night. The people working at the desk had no clue what they were doing and had no customer service training. We were told to contact the general manager. I sent him a lengthy email but he refuses to speak with me. I have since found out they were robbed back in May. This is not a place anyone should be going to. I have every intention of calling the health department before someone gets very sick.

Our family of 3, along with approx 20 other family members, have met at the Pheasant Run Resort, in St. Charles, for our annual Family 4th of July celebration, for the last several years. This year was our last!! If I could leave a negative number of stars, I would. Each year we've had small issues here and there, but nothing to keep us from returning. However, in the last 3 years we've seen a rapid decline in their customer service/hospitality, as well as a disturbing decline in the maintenance and housekeeping departments. We had several issues during our stay last year, (which included finding a 14", blood/body fluid stain on the mattress of the pull-out sofa that my son was to sleep on UGH!) that was met with a lukewarm response from the front desk. - My husband somehow convinced me to give them another try and he won't be living that down any time soon!

From the 20 minute wait to check-in to an onslaught of new rules (regarding the pool area) and a 9a.m., unannounced fire "drill" our stay was something out of a National Lampoon's film! The room itself was absolutely filthy (see photos). The hallways were full of stained carpet, ripped wallpaper and an indescribable body odor-like stench. We were awoken by drunken arguments, the "passionate" neighbors above us and, as previously stated, a fire alarm going off at 9am - we hadn't been notified at check-in, however a staff member stood in the hallway and announced that it was "just a drill, not a fire". I would've called the front desk, however the room's phone didn't work, (it was filthy and missing several of its buttons, as well). At one point, our (old, tube-style) tv wasn't working properly due to a storm...

In the photos, you'll see a torn lampshade (hard to miss), dust and debris around the beds, something resembling an acrylic fingernail and insect carcasses by the bedside table, mold on the A/C unit, "dirt" on the outlet, an outlet coming out of the wall, a broken hair dryer that looks to be a fire hazard, and a filth-encrusted shower head... I'd packed slippers, Clorox wipes, dish soap and Lysol spray after what I'd seen last year and I'm SO glad I did!! Needless to say, we checked out early, cutting our reservation short. - My husband relayed, to the front desk person, the above mentioned things, to which they responded, "I'm really sorry you were unhappy with your stay. Would you like to speak to the manager?"... He shook his head and walked out. After last year's issues and the blatant disregard for cleanliness and maintenance, he didn't feel like wasting his breath.

Once upon a time, (20 years ago) the Pheasant Run Resort was a wonderful place to stay. It's really sad to see how much it's fallen into decline and the apathy of the staff and management. Our family won't be back.

******EDITED TO ADD: In response to the owner's reply, my last name differs from my husband's, which is why you cannot find my reservation. Once the charges from our stay have hard-posted to our account, I'll be contacting you, as you've requested.
