Everything was very clean and the staff was very respectful!
Recently played 18 at the resort course and it was very enjoyable. The course was in above-average condition and pace of play was average. I play here 4-5 times a year and always have a good time.
Cons: We were upgraded to the loft since they didn't have the golf room requested, but Hotel room falling apart. TV cabinet off the hinges, mattress warped, guessing it was 15+ yeads old, lots of stains in carpet, broken side tables, old tube tvs. Needs major updating.
Pros:Restaurant was good, comedy a blast , pool nice and warm, hot tub in suite was big ! Still had fun!
The resort amenities and events are a big reason to visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were pretty average.
What's with all the dog shows. Hope they are not staying in guest rooms. Yuck
Brunch with Santa. Good. Normal brunch. Did have some crafts available for kids in the hall but there was a charge to do them.
Great stay. Kids love the indoor outdoor pool with the swim under gate.
The service was very good..the food could be better for what it cost but included mimosas so I was fine
Staff is very helpful. The decor is very dated, and luggage carts are scarce. They put us in a pet friendly room, which we did not request and had no need for.
Its getting really run down. It needs to be brought into the 21st Century! It was clean but old and run down.
At check in Hector was very professional and Doreen has been an awesome server. Some of the rooms are outdated but the experience has been great.
The stay was very nice, but the service in the restaurant was very slow.
Went to Zannie's comedy club inside the Pheasant Run Resort, and the staff was great, and the comedy was funny.
Indoor outdoor pool...fun place. Great food at jumblyas
New updated rooms are great and 2 pools are good for the kids
After spending one night in a different location, the Pheasant Run Resort was a breath of fresh air. Great location, great accommodations, and an incredible number of different activities. Love my stay here!!!
Hard to find my room but besides that it was beautiful.
Reason for the visit was for a wedding, which was fantastic.
As for the room: the water pressure and shower were disappointing as in the shower might as well have been cleaned with a feather duster. The towels were itty bitty and old. Room service (breakfast) was okay at best... But also a let down.
The view from the 12th floor is amazing!
Good convention location. A little bit of a maze to navigate. Food is pretty average, except specialty resatraunts.
I was charged for services rendered to another guest. When I lodged my complaint the manager accused me of threatening her. When I asked what I threatened to do to her she said I threatened to scream. Stating that you have been threatened is a very serious charge and I will never patronize their establishment again.
I am also a non smoker and was unable to enjoy any of the outdoor activities due to the overwhelming number of people smoking.
Went for golf outing and staff was professional and friendly.
Food provided at the event from the resort was average, but the service was excellent. The multi purpose room did its purpose. The parking was ample.
I was at Pheasant Run to stay for a wedding. The rooms were very nice, workers were very helpful when needed and I was very satisfied with the experience.
Beautiful wedding in a wonderful theater venue with great organization and accommodating servers.
The rooms are horrible the bathroom was dirty mold in shower toilets where filthy carpets are a joke very sad to see what this hotel has become if not for the pools that are starting to show there age not worth the money to come here someone needs to buy this place and make it great or the doors need to be closed soon the restrant was not much better. The staff is trying but have nothing to work with they need to call hotel impossible anyone that thinks the rooms are ok have never stayed in a nice hotel and iam just saying nice I have stayed in geat hotels this in not even ok waste of money the best part is it was my 16 year anniversary this place ruined the day and we told several staff why we where there and never got a happy anniversary or thank u for choosing us. If u dont believe me go and see for your self as to see a room good luck phesant run u will never get a nother dollor from me to maney other nice hotel to stay
Updated are slow but really making this a wonderful place to hold events and best pricing in the Chicagoland areas. Will be coming back for years to come.
Very nice resort, nice rooms, good breakfast. My only complaint is that we had to wait almost an hour after check in time for our room.
Stayed here for five nights on the tail end of a holiday in the States. A little old and could do with a re-vamp, however I enjoyed the stay. Everything you need within the confines of the resort. The onsite comedy club was OK.
I found 3 ants in my room during my stay. Enough said. They have absolutely no justice to call this a resort. Besides the ants... The TV's are at least 20 years old and the attractions were a joke. Very disappointed
Location is a bit distant from downtown Chicago. Rooms were nice. Recommend staying in the tower suites. Wonderful activities.
Great location with lots of unique shops and things to do.
I was here for a four-day conference, and the only thing I can say nice about this establishment is that they have good food in the restaurant, Jambalaya. Other than that, the accommodations are horrible. They have serious issues with plumbing. The water smells like $@#t! It runs yellow. I was scared this was a health concern, so my family brushed our teeth with bottled water. The toilet was stained and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months! The rooms on the golf side have very outdated furnishings. The TVs are old -- no flat screens. The carpets are severely stained in the hallways, making it look like a cheap motel. It only looks like they put money into the meeting rooms and grounds (outdoors, pools, golf courses). But they don't seem to really care about the accommodations that their guests have to stay in. I do not see how they can call this a resort! They should drop that title from their name.
Take the resort name out and lower price. Don't even have fridge or microwave. If it wasn't for a group discount for soccer tournament I wouldn't have stayed here. We shouldn't pay extra cause of the word "resort".
The staff acted professional and reacted to events as they unfolded.
Stayed here as a kid. Not as bad as reviews state. They are updating. Clean n simple was my stay. Pools clean n warm. Only negative if its a negative is lady bugs in room. 1402.
Completely forgot about this place and how awesome it is! One of the few places that still has outdoor pool (with bar & music) that's TONS OF FUN!! All Ages had blast! Only because the staff here Rocks!! 80% of my year spent in hotels & they have replaced a 5 star resort as #1. I them!!
I first have to say I felt bad for the bartender in the clubhouse Lounge. She had to take care of everyone's drinks food orders and serve the tables all on her own and it was very busy she should have had help. Second the bathrooms in the place we're pretty messed up and dirty throughout. The television in the room wasn't working and they didn't send anyone up to help. They said everybody who could have helped us had gone home and we would have to wait till morning. We went to see a show and someone had taken our seats and the Usher seated us separately and way over to the side when we had ordered are seats in the center six rows back. I wanted to like this place since it has so much to do entertainmentwise. But there were too many issues.
For a resort that's aged gracefully, this is still a wonderful place to spend time with family, if your looking for the super water rides and slides this isn't the place.
Needs remodeling...ground landscaping needs a MAJOR OVERHAUL
Bunch of drunken guests will ruin it for a few if you plan on sleeping there.
Nice rooms. Could use some updating. Unique layout; can be confusing. Does not look like your usual hotel! Very friendly/helpful staff.
Place is nice. The TV is a bit old but there is free water bottles provided every day
This hotel has formidable amenities, theater, gift shop, a "New Orleans" kind of street, nice indoor & outdoor pool, bar with live music. Food and drinks were fine! I had a good time.
We were there from Friday afternoon until checkout on Sunday. Not once did we receive housekeeping services After talking to five different people about just getting us clean towels we were told the dryer was broken and the had to take them off site to clean them! My last visit was to the night manager and when I told him I would never stay there again he looked right at me and said neither would I. Unbelievable.
Good service and beautiful pools, I have no real complaints!
Attended Grace School of the Bible Annual Family Bible Conference. Great preaching of God's Word Rightly Divided, Worship, and Fellowship. Highly recommended. 2019 dates July 20 - 25: Mark your calendars.
Also, great bible study resources, bibles, books, DVD 's, CD 's, USB flash drives of messages and various bible topics.
Further, live streaming of sessions on internet.

The facilities are all in excellent condition, staff is very friendly and competent. Always have had great experiences at pheasant run.
Pheasant Run isn't the most modern or fancy of resorts, but for the price, it's a great getaway for your family! The property is clean and well kept and there are many amenities so you don't have to leave if you don't want to! The restaurant has good food, there's a coffee shop that makes coffee to order, and the indoor/outdoor pools are great! They have poolside activities that make it fun to stay here in the summer. They even offered us S'mores kits to make some by their fire outside at night. The staff was very friendly.
Seems like it was made in 1975 and never modernized
This is a great family resort that is sorely in need of a lot of upgrades and TLC. Lots of great activities for everyone and the Harvest restaurant is excellent.
Went to Zanies Comedy club we had a great time say Taylor Williams from Americas Got Talent. Realy good show and the other comedians were real funny.
Great place, combo breaker was an awesome event, the staff was very friendly, and everything was very clean and well taken care of. Highly recommended.
I enjoyed the golf course, however the fairways were hard. The staff was friendly .
I was there for a PE convention. Great location. Conference rooms were nice, clean and spacious. I'm always happy going to the IAPEHRD CONVENTION
They always treat us well. Lots of amenities & options. Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are nice & clean, and big. Love the patio doors & indoor/outdoor pool, and the fire pit!
I did not use the services or rooms. The location was a little hard to get to.
Zanies was very fun! 2 drink minimum, does not have to be alcohol. Interesting offerings inside "boardwalk". Beautiful grounds, golf course and pool.
Very nice lobby. I llove the Bourbon St and the New Orleans Hall. I love the area around the ice cream place.
The rooms are dated and if you get put in the part where there are two floors instead of being put in the tower, there are no elevators or even a bellhop to carry your luggage up. We had to drag our luggage up a flight of stairs. This may not sound bad for a lot of people but I have back problems and it hurt me to have to pull my luggage up the stairs.
Room service is expensive and the restaurants are overpriced and the food is mediocre at best. I was very disappointed in this place. It was more like a motel than a resort.
I worked/ attended a tradeshow/conference (which was a wonderful event) and stayed at this resort. While the resort is in a quiet environment, I had fun because of the bartenders and restaurant staff... They were so friendly and great. HOWEVER, one woman LIZ JONES (the hotel coordinator) was awful. She was so rude to the booths and everyone at the event. Instead of being helpful or, you know, hospitable... She would refer to email memos and try to validate her inexcusable behavior.
Attended Combo Breaker 2017 at the Mega Center. Had a great time
Staff is always very nice and helpful. Mega center is great place to hold events. Did is good and the portions are large.
