I bought a Mazda 5 after seeing one in the parking lot of Panera on our way to purchase a Honda Element. So glad we were in the that parking lot when we were because the Mazda 5 is fantastic. Car buying was an enjoyable experience, as much as car buying can be, with Jay and the other employees. I feel I was given a fair trade in price, discount and interest rate. I drove to Richmond from Washington, DC, as my daughter also bought a vehicle from Jay which was also enjoyable. They have an extensive inventory and I got exactly what I wanted. It was my first car buying experience without being accompanied by a man and I wasn't spoken down to. Jay is very enthusiastic, friendly, professional and accommodating. There is a salesperson for everyone at this dealership.

Professional and very helpful twice since I moved here. Went to a location in Midlothian which is closer and they would not match prices and I felt I was bothering them being there. Pearson s Mazda got me in with better pricing, perfect customer service, an appointment the next day and offered a loner car due to the amount of work! I will travel every time to give these guys my business for tuning and when ready to purchase another car!

I drove over an hour to visit this location as it was the only Mazda dealer near me that has the car I wanted. I'll admit arriving with some uncertainty, but soon discovered that was misplaced.
The whole staff was very friendly and welcoming and never had me feeling overly pressured. They worked extra hard to get me a financing deal and saved me from having to make an extra trip back to my credit union. Even as closing time was approaching, I never felt rushed and drove away in my first ever brand new car.
If you're in the market, pay them a visit!

After being told by two individuals that I needed a part for my repair I found out that there was another $100 less expensive option. But once I purchased the part it couldn t be returned or if an exception to the no return policy was granted there was a significant restocking fee.
Also I asked to have my warranty company contacted but that wasn t done. So I had to pay out of pocket and then submit the paper work. This may have been avoided if the original request was acted upon. Previous visits have been a good experience so I hope the last visit was an anomaly.

Do not go to Pearson Mazda for car maintenance! I left them my Mazda to fix my passenger air bag, which was being recalled. When I came back to pick up my vehicle the bumper had been was scraped and partially torn off. It was not damaged when I left it with them. The representative I talked to assured me that they would repair the damage at no cost. Now, they refuse to do anything about it, even though they are responsible for damaging it , and promised to repair it. Don't trust them or ever use them if you don't want your vehicle returned damaged. I will not be using their services again.

My experience with the dealership is beyond 5 stars. When i went to pearson mazda i wasn't sure with my credit was good enough and etc. My sales person was paul and he was the first person that greeted me. I felt welcomed and happy to be there. I choose the cx9 i wanted but i didnt have my down payment and other ducuments at the time to take the cx9 home. I had to take a famliy trip to north carolina that same weekend and i just traded in my old truck. The guys at pearson said ( dont worry ) , they gave me a cx9 loaner for the whole week until i could bring my down payment and other documents to them. What dealer does thats? From test drive to final paper work , everything was perfect. I will buy from pearson again.

Not only did Paul take great care of me the entire time while ensuring he answered all of my questions, the entire staff was helpful and friendly. My 2009 CX-9 had catostrophic engine failure due to a water pump failure. The pump was encased in the engine so you cannot replace. This design continued to be used in CX-9s for a series of years. Pearson sold me this vehicle used knowing this was an issue. I am now out of a vehicle with no recourse except to join the several class action suits for this. Mazda did not and has not addressed this issue. I really loved my vehicle and this was devastating news to me, besides all the money I am now out. In addition I had just done several thousand dollars of repairs right before this happened. I never would had continued to pour money into this vehicle if I knew this was going to occur.

Dealership and service department are pleasant, but they sold me a car that has had issues every couple of weeks since I purchased it.
I bought a BMW 328i wagon in late February. 5 days later, I noticed oil on my garage floor, so I took it in. The next day they call to tell me its an oil pan gasket leak and to pick up the car while they waited for the part. A week later I take the car back in, it was in the shop for 3 days and they gave me a loaner which was nice.
I got the car back and it had an engine light on that wasn't there before. I called, got them to document it, but never got a chance to take it in before i looked under myself to find an unplugged O2 sensor. Since it was never plugged back in, the sensor went bad. Even when I reattached it, it was too late. Unfortunately, this was not covered by my warranty and I will have to do the work to replace.
2 weeks later, more oil on the garage floor. We are now in March/April. This time it was a lot of oil. So I take it in again. Taking off of work to do so. This time it is the rear main seal. So they call me to pick up the car while they order the special parts and tools. I do so and wait 4-6 weeks. I don't mind the wait but my car is trashing my garage with oil, so I am a little annoyed. They call to say the parts are in and to bring it in, this was a week ago. They said that they would only be able to do a loaner for the day the vehicle would be in, and since they open after I am supposed to be at work, and I work an hour away, I had to borrow a family member's car.
They said the repair would be a day, but the mechanic got behind. I got a call the next day that they were sent the wrong part, so the total repair took 4 days. This meant that I had to really inconvenience the family member that was nice enough to loan me a car.
So at this point I am ready to be done with all of the repairs since it is 4 times in 6 months. Just like a horror movie ending, where the villain is still alive at the end, yesterday I found oil on my garage floor. A substantial amount of oil. It looks like this will be the 5th time in 6 months taking the car in. I have had to take off of work, take this car in for repair, and rely on people letting me use their car too much in 6 months, I am beyond frustrated.

Got my BMW back on 7/22/16 and as of 7/25/16 afternoon, it was leaking again. They still don't know what is wrong with the car.

I will be getting my car back today. My service advisor Louis has been the most helpful person in the dealership. He has called me for updates about my car almost every other day. They had to pull the engine to replace the lower crank girdle. They also decided to replace my clutch for me, for all the trouble. I hope this will be the last update. If you need service done, please ask for Louis, he's great!

This the second Mazda I have leased at Pearson. Kimberly was quick to respond, professional and understood what I wanted. When I arrived for my test drive, I didn t particularly like it so Paige was great in obtaining new numbers for me on the CX-5 Grand Touring. Sales Manager went back and forth with numbers which was frustrating and time consuming but professional and willing to answer questions. The Financial Officer, Dakota-was thorough and explained everything in detail. He forgot to take my first payment but with all the talking that s easily done. I take full responsibility for that and I paid. Great group to work with but had it not been for Kimberly I would be driving a different SUV today.

This is a Mazda showroom and service along Broad St. in Richmond VA. I came to this branch by tow after my CX 9 died in the middle of Broad and Genuine. So I was in an awful mood. I called them from where I was sitting in Richmond rush hour traffic while waiting for the tow. Their front desk was friendly and helpful, recognized the distress in my voice. I told them to expect my car by tow, and do they have any loaners. She informed her manager, and got back on the phone with a Yes we have a loaner for you. Kind, efficient service during a distressing day.

Kenneth was wonderful to work with, answered all my questions either in person or through email almost immediately. This was the best car buying experience I've had. I have purchased three Mazda's since 1996 and have received unbelievable service at affordable prices on all three vehicles. The reps are extremely nice and the job is always done well the first time. I have often done a drop off and amazed at the service. I am a devoted Mazda fan and that is part and parcel of the people that represent Pearson Mazda.

My wife and I stopped in to look at a used Honda Civic and left with a certified pre-owned Mazda 3. Everyone at the dealership was very nice and attentive. Our salesman, Joe, was very knowledgeable and understood our needs and concerns and never made us feel uncomfortable. He reminded me of my grandfather and made the whole experience a great one. Any issues we found (tire balance, adjust the glove box) were added to a "We Owe You" list that he signed and they are responsible to fix when we are back in the area. I would highly recommend this dealership and salesman to anyone looking for a great car!

I had a GREAT experience here at Pearson Mazda. I got a new car, they took my old car, and really worked within my price budget. Paul Thrasher was fantastic. We went out and test drove the car that I was interested as well as a couple others. He demoed the car so well, I had to go back within the week to test drive it again (and actually buy the car that we rode in). Financing department was helpful as well as the floor manager, John. So many good things to say about them, but just go to Paul and you'll understand why I whole heartedly recommend seeing him and the team.

What ever happened to customer service?? The service department needs ALOT of revamping, starting with whoever that is answering the phones. Get rid of people who DO NOT want to be at work! A computer can set an appointment/schedule services AND send a text or an email to say thank you.

Please teach your staff that if they do not know the answer(s) to questions, it is more pleasant to hear, I don't know but let me find out from someone who may have the answer.

The service dept. Is great. My car is old and the servce rep treated me as if i had just bought a new one there. I was given a loan of a vehicle. It was going to take them the better of the day to complete rhe work. When they called me it was 4 30 they close at 5. I told them i had came home louisa county. I could not get there by 5. They told me just come in tomorrow morning. The nicest people i have ever delt with in this situation.

Well I may change my rating if in fact they do wat was promised it was really late when I bought my car and had not been detailed yet they took it back for about 20 minutes and brought it back out I saw many things that were not cleaned and told me salesman he told me to bring it back and they would take care of it so I am calling today to see about having it properly detailed. They go above and beyond expectations to make sure their customers are happy.. had a slight DMV registration issue and they were very kind to continue following up until my issue was resolved.

FYI, if you ever drove for Uber or Lyft and try and transfer plates to a new vehicle, it may not work!! That was my issue, at least! Nothing a quick trip to the DMV didn't fix!! And because Pearson had done 99% of the work, it was SO FAST AND EASY! (Has anyone ever said the DMV was fast and easy before?!)

On the one hand, the dealership was fast, even faster than I hoped, when I brought the car in with a battery issue. On the other hand, they tried to get me to pay for one thing (a 100$ draw test) that I probably did not need, and another thing (getting corrosion off my battery) that definitely was not needed. I had personally removed all the corrosion from the visible terminals of my battery and am not sure what other part might have needed scraping, as the rest of the exterior is plastic. Dealer: please don't do that. I don't mind paying a bit more, but would like to be able to trust you. Dealers are like the car's parents. They may have a higher standard (and thus their work should come with a bit higher price tag), but you ought to be able to trust them above all.

If you come into to buy a used car, don't expect much, if any help. Came in and it just began to rain lightly. Knew what vehicle I wanted and the representative just told me it was in the back gated area and I could go over there if I wanted. Really? Might as well just close down if you aren't willing to walk through a sprinkle.

I would recommend going somewhere else. No offense to the staff. the staff is wonderful but I recently took my car there because my check engine light was on. I was fine with the diagnostics fee of $130 but they had my car there for 3 days. so I also did a state inspection. Okay $150 not bad. my inspection was rejected and some how my total went up to $460. I just don't see the reasoning in paying $405 for labor when the parts are less then 30 dollars. there is also extra fees in there that I'm not even sure what the charge was for. My car was serviced somewhere else on the same day with an state inspection sticker approved. almost $500 that I don't have just down the drain.

I thought that was a very nice offer and called to schedule service right away. Car was picked up on schedule, and I was informed as to status throughout the process.
