My 2009 CX-9 had catostrophic engine failure due to a water pump failure. The pump was encased in the engine so you cannot replace. This design continued to be used in CX-9s for a series of years. Pearson sold me this vehicle used knowing this was an issue. I am now out of a vehicle with no recourse except to join the several class action suits for this. Mazda did not and has not addressed this issue. I really loved my vehicle and this was devastating news to me, besides all the money I am now out. In addition I had just done several thousand dollars of repairs right before this happened. I never would had continued to pour money into this vehicle if I knew this was going to occur.
