Went to this location on Black Friday 2016 to look for a Mazda 3. John Breeder immediately approached my fiance and I to greet us and offer his service. Although we left without a purchase, I returned a week later and received the same excellent service from Mr. Breder. I ended up purchasing a Mazda 3 and was glad that I provided this location with my business. Even after the purchase, Mr. Breder reached out to me to ensure that I was still enjoying my purchase. I'd recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a great vehicle and service.

Everyone we had contact with was very nice and professional. I never felt smothered nor pressured during the whole buying process, which was alway something I experienced at other places even when I was just looking at cars. I would definitely recommend Pearson Mazda.

Great service as always! Judy is a gem and Pearson Mazda is very lucky to have her as a service advisor. Needed 5000 mile service, new brakes, and rotors needed fixing. All services were completed much sooner than they stated and they even gave me a shuttle ride to work. It's never cheap to get work done, but Pearson never seems to price-gouge and they are never pushy about needed repairs. The only feedback I would offer is that they are almost too conservative about offering needed repairs. The issue with my rotors was going on for a while, but wasn't identified as a problem until I specifically mentioned that my car was shaking when I applied the brakes. It may be that rotors aren't a part of their multi-point inspection, not sure. Still, pretty minor issue in the grand scheme of things, and with the repairs completed timely and effectively (brakes feel like they are brand new now), can't really complain. Pearson Mazda Service has yet to let me down.

Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. If you go in for a service they will take the time to explain what they see that could be a problem and explain your options. Service is usually pretty quick as well.

First rate service department. I have used the Pearson service department exclusively for 2 different Miatas over last 5 years. Every visit has been a pleasant experience with efficient friendly service with a reasonable cost.
I have never been approached about buying unnecessary add ons which wasn t the case at other dealerships.
If you want first class service with no worries give Pearson a try.

The top notch salesman, Paul Thrasher, is the reason I refer my friends here. I love my CX-5. The sales process was little to no pressure and very friendly and informative. Paul is absolutely amazing.
After purchasing my car I was not impressed with the service center. They seemed disorganized and not nearly as customer service oriented as they should be. I ve noticed a huge improvement and was glad to see they were much more customer-focused on my last visit.

I put off writing my review, as I do not like to leave bad ones unless I feel very strongly, and in this case I do. We purchased our vehicle (a used 2005 Ford Freestar) last year. Everyone was very helpful, and very friendly. When we took it home we realized that it was acting funny, before even looking at the vehicle the mechanic said it was more than likely the catalytic converter, and thankfully replaced it at no cost to us. We were told that exhausts are checked when inspecting vehicles, and that is why it wasn t fixed before purchase. But, since they replaced it and saved us the money and hassle, we were fine. This is where my good review stops.

We have had the vehicle in and out of shops 3 times. We have had it a year, and have only been able to drive it for about 3-4 months out of that year, because the check engine light was always on, and the smell of exhaust fumes were ridiculous.

We purchased a year warranty for the vehicle, however it s $100 each time they look at the vehicle, and that s no guarantee they will fix what s wrong because it might not be covered. We took it to our own mechanic, who only charged us $40, and told us all the problems were in the exhaust, which of course wasn t covered by the warranty we purchased, and issues were not fixed or were made worse when the catalytic converter was replaced. Also, with these exhaust issues the vehicle will not pass state inspection, so I m not sure how it past the inspection to be sold with the issues.

I have three children and told the sales associate that I needed a reliable vehicle. I know that any used vehicle is bound to have issues, but we figured that buying it from a dealer, that we d have less to deal with, plus a warranty. But, in this case, we were wrong. Needless to say that I felt and still feel very taking advantage of by Pearson Masada. I even wrote to the person who sold us the vehicle, and explained my situation, and never got a response, but he had the nerve to ask me for a review, and now he got one.

I would not recommend Pearson Mazda to anyone, at least for used vehicles.

Sales experience was warm, professional, buyer-focused, concise and knowledgeable - thank you Paige M.! : ) Sales Management assistance was spot on, very informative and provided quick, real-time numbers on a trade-in. Completed the whole process - search, shop, test drive, price, trade-in process, financing and final papers - all in about two hours on site. Drove away beaming in a new Mazda.

I had a very good experience at Pearson. Daniel did an excellent job of listening to what I might want in a new car and helping me with just the right one. He knew car and all that it offered, he worked to get the price where it needed to be, the dealership was gracious, and made all the paperwork as tolerable as possible. I would return there, and would hope that Daniel is still there when I am ready for another new vehicle.

Great car buying experience (I've bought 3 cars from Pearson over the years) and also excellent service department. I was always skeptical of dealer service departments costing way more than independent repair shops, but while the $130 diagnostic fee might be a bit more they don't pressure you to have a bunch of "routine maintenance" done.

Just bought a 2016 Cx-5 from James Balsamo. He was a pleasure to work with. As well as everyone else there, involved in my buying experience. And Ben in service was very nice. He got me a tow hitch installed. And had a tech come and show me where the wiring harness was. He also was very nice. Only took about 3 hrs to install and I chose what time and day I wanted it done. James my salesman was happy to get a loaner for me and drive up to front door for me. I thought that was petty nice of them. That beat sitting in lobby. But if I had sat in the lobby. I could of had free drinks and snacks on them. I've never seen that before. I thought that was pretty cool

I left my car at the after hours drop without an appointment because of a tire issue. Another place had told me over the weekend that I had a puncture in the sidewall and needed a new tire. Pearson very quickly assessed the problem and was able to fix the puncture (not in the sidewall!). I appreciate their speediness and professionalism.

Slow, nearly unhelpful employee at the parts counter. He spoke very quietly and I had a hard time hearing him. Once the parts were located, he did not know how to process a coupon I found on the dealer's website. After realizing that his price (even with the coupon) was about $150 higher than what I could find at another dealer online (for a Mazda roof rack), I left without making a purchase.

This is my second time buying from Pearson Mazda i...

This is my second time buying from Pearson Mazda in the last 1.5 years. My first salesperson was matt and he had a ridiculous amount of patience as I test drove 5-6 cars. I told him my budget and he pulled options that met my needs and more. This week, I went in on monday letting Scott know that I needed to get a vehicle quickly. ( I had been in an accident and insurance was going to stop paying for my rental on the ninth) Scott gave me his card and told me to call him when I was ready. I called Scott at about 8 am on Tuesday morning and said that I would be there in 10 minutes. When I got there, scott already had three cars that met the criteria that I had asked of him from our brief meeting on the prior day. After driving one of his picks ( all three were the same model) my wife and I weren t really enthused about the vehicle. I found another car within our budget on the dealership website that was a little bigger and asked Scott if it was available. It was!! This is rather uncommon at dealerships that I have been to in the area. Usually you see cars on the website and when you get there it either isn t there, never existed, or has to be shipped from another location. Not here though. He asked me the stock number, located the vehicle, and My wife and I were test driving it within minutes. We loved the vehicle ( mazda 6 touring 2016) from the moment we hopped in it. After our little stroll around the block, my wife and I let Scott know that we would be purchasing this vehicle. We filled out the required paperwork and then waited for the finance manager JC. When we entered the office I was expecting a hard sell and scare tactic on all the upgrades we would need in order to make sure that our investment would be protected . This is not what we got at all. JC took a consultative approach. He informed us of our options, explained the benefits, and let us choose what was best for us without being pushy. There was no badgering to figure out what we wanted our monthly payment to be then convincing us that a longer term loan wasn t a bad thing because of the monthly payment already being budgeted . We told Jc that we would only be doing 60 months. ( would prefer a shorter term, but we decided beforehand that 60 would be best for us right now if the we got what we wanted and stayed withing our pre-set out of the door price budget). Jc didn t play any games with us. He told us our out of door price before we told him how much we would be putting up for a down payment. I have had a different experience with a different dealership in the past. It was mainly my fault for focusing on the wrong things, but lets just say I ended up paying 6k more for a car than I should have because I was so focused on interest rate that I didn t pay enough attention to the out of door price. Essentially, we were looking for the lowest interest rate possible. The salesperson asked how much we were gonna put down. We told him 6k and they came back with a 0 percent interest rate. I was so pleased with myself for getting a win on the interest rate that I didn t realize until I got home that we paid 25k for a 17k car. Instead of financing 11k plus tax, we financed 19k. Anyway, Pearson Mazda is honest and looking out for your best interests. I would recommend them to anyone.

The first time coming to Pearson Mazda was back in February, when I needed my inspection completed. Everyone was nice and they let me know any issues that needed to be fixed in the near future. Since then I have came back twice to get any updates and etc., completed and I have had a great experience each time! Prior to my Mazda I had an Acura and I will tell you that because of the Acura dealership the way they treated me...I will never purchase another one again! Currently, I am enjoying my Mazda and when I go SUV searching...my first stop will be Pearson Mazda! Thank you for all you do!

Fantastic Experience!

Fantastic Experience!

I had been shopping for a used truck for about a week and was having a lot of trouble getting financing. I was trying to finance a vehicle for the first time and I was told this was my issue. After days of frustration and dishonesty at other dealerships, I was referred to Pearson Mazda by a friend. The sales staff and financing staff were excellent. I had the undivided attention of someone on their staff at all times. They immediately showed me the vehicle I was interested in and within two hours I was driving my 2013 Chevrolet Silverado home! I recommend anyone interested in a new or used car to go through the Pearson Auto Group!

Ben in the service department has always been wonderful to work with. He is honest and upfront- doesn't try to sell you on unnecessary parts like so many other places. I had gotten my state inspection at a different location and was told I needed to replace a tire before they could pass me. I called Pearson and they were able to get me in and out immediately (even though it was already 4:30pm!!) and they performed the state inspection free of charge as I was a Mazda owner. Friendly place, very clean and welcoming environment, and just good people. Highly recommend.

What started with a nail in my tire ended with me purchasing my first vehicle on my own. Originally came to get a nail out of a tire and left with a CX-30 2020 loaner due to the whole tire needing replacing. As soon as I left the dealership I fell in love it and soon realized that this would be the car for me. Once I brought it back I let Judy (Who helped me out with the loaner) know that I was interested. She hooked me up with Isaac in Sales who showed me a few models and listened to what features I was looking for. I really appreciated him working with my schedule and understanding this was my first time purchasing a vehicle. He made the process painless along with a fantastic experience. A shout out to the parts teams! Jeff and his team really helped me out with my trade in. He worked really hard to make sure I got the best deal. I would also like to thank Mike in finance. He understood that I was both excited and nervous but with his help he showed me all my pricing/payment options. I never felt like I was being pushed into anything I didn t want to do. I just want to thank everyone at Pearson Mazda for helping me out and making my experience the best. I know everyone was looking out for me and that s why I love this dealership. Thank you everyone! <3

Came in wanting to get a low mileage car, and I left with one. The price was good at first, but be aware that they will try to increase it at the end, through extended warranties and services etc. Bring backup to the dealership if possible. I just bought a new Mazda CX5 from Pearson and I couldn't be happier with the car and the service. I stopped at this dealership out of curiosity, as I had pretty much decided to buy another

If you need a vehicle and want the best sales and service then stop by Pearson Mazda and ask for James Balsamo. He was very helpful kind and knows his vehicle inventory. Over the past month we have been to 7 or 8 dealerships and James is by far the best in the business. No pressure just let him know what you want and he will find it for you. I think i was expecting a little bit of a warmer welcome as i had set up a time for a test drive on a car that i knew i was going to probably buy. They acted like they had no clue who i was and why i was there after i had walked in and introduced myself. But things got better. Issack a new young man did his best to make things a little more comfortable. And i settled down as i was about ready to walk. After all that i did get the car and really feel i made a wonderful purchase. Dakota was very personable as well and made doing all that signing bearable. So all good in the end. Randy

My wife and I drove from Newport News to purchase our new CX-5 from Pearson Mazda. By far, the dealership and our sales consultant at Pearson Mazda out paced and out performed all of those in our local area. It was simply a no brainer for us that Pearson was our 1st place of choice to buy our new Mazda. The support staff was superb...friendly, helpful, professional, honest, and no high pressure. Paul Thrasher, our sales consultant, was outstanding and a real pleasure to work with. He quickly earned our confidence and trust and gave us a superior buying experience. He is without a doubt a consummate professional who is extremely knowledgeable of the products and is dedicated to his customers. We would definitely choose him as our sales consultant in buying any Mazdas in the future. The price was terrific and negotiations easy and a pleasure. Pearson Mazda and Paul Thrasher made our buying experience a "Five-Star" best! We love our new Mazda, and it was certainly "Worth the Drive" to get it.

Judy, my service advisor, was helpful and attentive. Because she was consistent in having the five or ten point checkup performed they identified my 2010 Madza 6 brake were down to 0 and my back rotars were gone.

Now for the bad, I had come in the Saturday before because my tire pressure light had come on. Thursday, two days before, I had gone through the car wash and when I came out I found a cut in the sidewall of my front driver's side Michelin tire. The service advisor on duty eventually acknowledged me, and told me he would need my car for the rest of day for some air. So I had him make an appointment with my service advisor for Monday.

After Judy determined the extent of the work that was need she suggested I be put in a loaner. This loaner was a 2020 CX5 Sports Utility. It was so dirty that it even had a sreak of paint down the rear passenger side door. Inside, windshield was dirty, the floor despite being covered with plastic were filthy, and the inside windows need to be cleaned.
Needless to say, the dirtiness overshadowed the car smell and feel. I did run it through the car twice, since I am s minister and I had some visits to make.

Nice staff, terrible service though. Went in for an air bag recall repair and upon the time of the service they took it upon themselves to do an overall check of my vehicle stating a few things that for due for a renew (air filter being one) and they left the air filter laying OUT ON TOP of the housing and left the housing unsecure causing my rpms to run alarmingly high. Would not recommend.

Thanks Mike for getting back on this and I will directly reach out to you. Your sales personal showed no care attitude and rude behavior. I dropped my car off for recall work only to get a call that I needed multiple things fixed that added up to almost $800 including $322 to replace my whole headlight because the bulb was out and $150 to diagnose why my fog lights were not working which I know for a fact were working when I dropped my car off because I used my fog lights at night driving to work. I look under my hood to find that several fuses were missing that were all there before. Not blown MISSING!! Meaning someone deliberately removed my fuses. I replaced all the fuses and what do you know my fog lights and headlight are now working again! Also told me my drive belt was cracked and needed to be replaced. I took my car to another mechanic to have it looked at and it was fine. Will not be returning to Mazda on broad for anymore service work. Since the recall labor was free on my end they tried to make me pay for unnecessary things and deliberately removed my fuses!

Don t even bother responding to my review because when we called back and asked about it the answer we got was we would never deliberately do anything like that and your lights were not working when the car was dropped off lies!

Fuses don t just fall out, they are under my hood in a covered box and I KNOW my lights were working.
Also my whole headlight needing to be replaced was a lie too! Two $4 fuses later and all my lights are working again! No cracks in my drive belt either!
I don t know about the the sales part of this dealership but the service is 0 star quality.

I recently visited Pearson Mazda to get a diagnostic test performed on my Mazda 3 due to the check engine light going on and off in the dashboard. When I called to inquire about diagnostic testing and scheduling an appointment, Judy was very nice and friendly. Once I arrived at the dealership, she made sure I received a loaner vehicle so I wouldn t have to sit and wait for my car. I received a call the same day to let me know that my vehicle was ready. I was informed that it was something very simple that triggered the check engine light. I am so happy the issue was resolved and that I can drive with no warning lights coming on in the dashboard. Thanks again to Pearson Mazda and Judy for your wonderful customer service!

Stay away from the service department here! The EC...

Stay away from the service department here! The ECU in my Mazda Miata had gone bad, so I decided to buy a gently used one online. I scheduled an appointment, asking them to replace and reprogram it (which they said they could do), and brought in my car, but they called me later on and said the ECU I had brought in was for a Miata with an automatic transmission and mine was manual. I asked them to put the old one back in, picked up my car and paid the labor.

Next time, I made sure to buy an ECU for a manual transmission. I made another appointment and dropped it off. This time they phoned me and said I would need the immobilizer from the same car the ECU came from or it would not work. The first ECU I brought in did not have an immobilizer with it and it was NOT made clear to me that I would need it. I was charged significantly more for the labor this time and a snide woman behind one of the desks said I was "lucky it [wasn't] more". If the service department could see clearly that I did not have an immobilizer, why did they bother working on it at all?

When I asked the manager for a phone number to call so I could make my complaint known, he only recommended that I visit the Facebook page. DO NOT take your car here to be serviced! The staff are unprofessional and unskilled at communication and customer satisfaction. If you don't believe me, scroll down and see the other reviews from people who brought their cars in to be serviced.

And Mazda, don't bother apologizing because you never did in person, not once.

I've always had great service at Pearson Mazda! Judy is very helpful and flexible in scheduling appointments. I took my car to NTB to request that they patch a tire that had a slow leak. They didn't even find the nail in the tire and told me that I needed a complete brake job instead. When I took my car to Pearson, they found the cause of the leak and said that I only needed to replace the brake pads. This saved me almost $400 compared to the estimate that NTB gave me. I completely trust the staff at Pearson Mazda, and am grateful that they don't try to charge for unnecessary work.

GREAT PLACE TO BUY A CAR! The staff is amazing. The two people I worked with have a great personality is Sara and Jimmy. Usually car buying can be a dreaded experience but with them I had a great enjoyable time. I was not hassled and I was given an even better deal then the price. Needless to say we bought our car and we will definitely continue business with them!

Also, they have great condiments. A nice and comfortable lounge area to watch tv for any wait time during processing. They try to make it fast and will constantly check up on you.

The whole store was very friendly. You can tell they are great team and very funny.
