Good hotel in a very central location.
Annoying part is that it's made up of two buildings and Its really annoying way to move across to other side if room happens to be there

Great location, right next to Amsterdam Centraal where you get all long distance trains, trams and train to airport. Good food at the hotel, access to touristy areas and other conveniences like gym and pool. Can be a little expensive but worth it.

Very good value for money. Comfortable and dead centre of Amsterdam. Highly recommended!!!

Excellent Hotel in a Fantastic Location!

I stayed here with my Father and Two Brothers whilst on my brothers Stag Do. On arrival we were a little disappointed by the welcome from the staff on the reception desk, they were rather unhelpful and quite rude, however, the staff on the customer relations desk and the concierge were very polite and helpful.

The rooms are modern, spacious, clean and you hear no external noise at night. The bathroom is immaculate and comes with all the amenities you would expect. I was a little disappointed to find in a 4 star hotel that you had to pay for water (still & sparkling) in the mini bar, you would normally get this included and only pay for other drinks.

The location is incredible, just a 5 minute walk from the Amsterdam Central Station, Red light District aswell as many other attractions.

The hotel security is very good, we arrived back late every night, early hours of the morning and we found two night porters in the lobby every night, the revolving doors are locked and manually activated when you arrive so you know your safe within the premises. The night porters were very friendly, welcome you back and ask if you've had a good evening.

Overall I really enjoyed the stay here and would definitely return, I would have loved to give them 5 stars but unfortunately the poor attitude of the reception team reduced it to a 4 star.

The best Espresso Martini I have tasted in the world...unbelievable but true. Fabulous hotel too..slept like a baby on the wonderful bed they have.

The reception was professional; not exactly the most welcoming, a bit "cool".

I came back to my room after getting some food to find the manager and assistant were inside my room! They claimed that because I had refused maid service for the past 3 days that they needed to do a welfare check. Going inside my room when I am not there is hardly doing a welfare check. I felt violated. Will never return

Good hotel location right opposite the amsterdam centraal station. 24 hour sauna and pool facilities. There is a lot of noise outside and the rooms are on the small side for a twin. The coffee at breakfast is great dispite it being a machine. Breakfast selection was limited, however everything that was served was perfect. Quality over quantity.

Cozy and calm atmosphere. Pleasant seats. Only the operation sometimes took a long time.

Great location as very central. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Nice bar for drinks and sauna is open late. Enjoyed it and would stay again

fantastic hotel..very friendly and helpful staff..spotlessly clean..great decor...great location 2mins from Central Station and Dam square. Rooms are lovely. Breakfast was super with a fabulous choice and plenty of fruit and fresh juice for vegans.

I would give it a 5* but for the fact that they do not have a room "instructions" leaflet in the rooms..all the other nice hotels have a booklet with information about the hotel and amenities..the number to dial for the Reception area..how to gain access to the pool etc. we had to keep asking around to get this information.

the air con was not working on our first night and I spent a terribly uncomfortable hot night with fitful rest...it was only on the second evening that I found out that the air con on the whole floor was broken..not all the staff knew this when I twice asked for help in order to get it to work in our room..
I was then offered a mobile fan which I gratefully received.
the fact we were not informed of this whole issue shows the hotel needs to improve communication on such matters amongst staff.
all in all a lovely,relaxing stay with wonderful staff..well done to the staff for their diligence and hard work!!! give them all a pay raise!!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel but I hate to say it wasn't perfect. The location is amazing, you can't get better, and the staff are nice but the spa was literally just a sauna and an indoor pool that was being fixed. That was disappointing as we wanted a spa break. However, it was my friend's birthday and they made our arrival very special so I have to give it 5 stars!

When we arrived at 14:00 (check-in time) our room wasn't ready. That's fine, they gave us 2 free drinks in the bar while we waited.

Unfortunately we were seated there for aprox. 1,5-2 hours untill the room was ready. Luckily for the hotel was the barman very friendly and he made the waiting good to do.

When we arrived in our room it all looked nice. However there fingerprints on the mirror, black hair in the sink, floor of the bathroom, black hair in on a pillow, on the bedsheets (black stain in a towel).

The thing is, I have worked in a hotel myself, I know it can be busy. But for a 4* hotel to let you wait 2 hours and then still deliver the room this dirty, it is unspoken off.

Usually I would've gone to the reception for this. However my wife and I were there for our 1 year anniversary and we had plans so we had to go.

Long story short: It's not worth the money we spend for 1 night ( 210).

Location wise, obviously: Perfect!

Fairly decent price compared to others near by. The room is very nice and the staff has been very friendly. Breakfast has been my only complaint. They seemed under staffed and couldn't keep up with busing tables or food demand.

Liking the central location and the decent room. Breakfast buffet for paying hotel guest is good though same thing are served everyday. Rooms on the urban wing is newly refurbished. Only complain is the staircase needed to climb to reception that makes it impossible when you come in, or leave with a luggage....

Love the location , it is just opposite of Amsterdam central , and beside there are lots of restaurants and shops , and attractions . Information guy is so friendly , helped me a lot . Can buy ticket from there and can have the nice experience of bus and boat sightseeing . Specially the boat is amazing.

Fatal, I will never return, I'm a photographer and I travel a lot, I've never had such a bad experience. Denigrante attitude and a despicable treatment.

Well to start, the location is excellent. Right next to the central station and near all the tourist ticket and information offices. My checkin experience was disappointing. I checked in, got my key card, went up to the room, door didn't open. Went back down, re programmed, up again, still. I did this 3 times until they agreed to send someone up with me to see what's going on. Room was clean, bit small even for one person. Breakfast was OK not much variety tho.

I'm not impressed. Not really pleasant, staff moderate it all takes so long. No can think of better places to eat or drink.

The location is good, but unfortunately otherwise i don t have to much good to report. My status wasn t honored to begin with, the room was very small and dirty (tobacco and other substances in cracks of furniture and sticky stains on the desk), it was loud and the postcards i gave the receptionist never arrived- and that was after i specifically ask to be careful putting the eight amount on postage on it (heavy folding cards, very expensive).

LOVED this hotel. Right across from the Central train station and on the edge of the Red Light District. Easy walking distance to everything!

A last minute booking as let down at the last minute by a friend. IThe hotel I booked was wrong branch not my fault. 80 taxi each way. So just walked into about 20 hotels all wanted 200+ all fleapits. One wanted 330 and wouldn't accept credit cards So said stuff it and after 3 hours of climbing stairs I couldn't breathe so just walked into nice hotel with LIFT . In executive room as level 6 Google Guide so got upgraded to executive room. Electric curtains, coffee machine, BATH!!! Mood lighting by voice. All English channels. Widescreen TV embedded in wall This was 240 including breakfast. . So tired though . Got a shower with 2 heads, 1 waterfall and other normal. Free mini bar as well. Absolutely fantastic hotel, one of the best service and decorated hotel I've ever stayed in.

At a Van der Valk the service is better than at this hotel, the price quality level is below the arrow.

Avoid this place as if it's the plague. Nasty offensive people work here. There are much better hotels in this beautiful city where the staff treat you with respect.
