Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam Review

Pretty good hotel of you ask me, good service, nice reception, and very central. A couple meters and you're at the central subway, and a couple meters the other way and you're in central Amsterdam.

Good, comfortable ,,,, strategic in the middle of the city

The hotel was nice, but the location was fabulous! The staff was friendly and helpful and had some good suggestions.

My stay in this hotel was wonderful! Although we were checked in late because of the room not being ready on time, the staff were polite and apologetic. They offered us free drinks in their bar! The location was wonderful! It is right across the central station and situated in the shopping streets and 5 minutes away from Dam Square! Wonderful location! The rooms were nice and spacious! It was wonderfully decorated. Although the room could be more soundproof because we could hear people shouting in the hallway during the night. The breakfast was also delicious! The restaurant was very well decorated and provided excellent food. Their service was excellent and the people were very polite especially the man in the tourist desk who happily assisted us with everything we needed. Overall 5 stars! Would come back!

If you are looking for, you will always find a hair in the soup. I was looking for a nice suite and I found that. Gorgeous!

We pay for an `` extra view '' supposed to give you a panorama of the city and get a view of the station and a canal under construction.
Room cleaning is not done if you do not explicitly request it under the pretext of coronavirus. And when you ask to make the beds and towels you are told that there is no more staff available. Quite disappointed when the opinions were relatively positive.

Very nice hotel. Too bad we had a very small room for such an expensive room. Clean. Also a pity that there is a large net hanging in front of the windows. Despite this, it is highly recommended

Gorgeous building conveniently located near the station and about a 15 minute walk to the museums and closer for other attractions.

Amazing location - can't beat it. Within close proximity of all the hustle bustle in Amsterdam.

I got given the loft which is an amazing duplex however, it has no natural sunlight! There is one window which looks out at another wall, making the entire feel very chlostrophobic. No outside light for bedtime so had to keep a lamp on all night. Otherwise it's a beautiful and chic room/duplex.

Unfriendly front desk staff. Expect housekeepers to invade your room regardless whether you post the do not disturb sign or not, it happened to me twice! You need to take two elevators to get to your room. Prepare yourself for a blocked view room. In-room safe was not working properly. The only good thing about this hotel was the location.

Stay for 2 nights during the Covid-19 period (September 2020).
Very warm welcome, especially with French speaking staff, so it is easier to make yourself understood.
Regarding the rooms, they are well equipped.
I did not try the hotel catering, as it seemed too expensive.
However, the cleanliness sometimes leaves something to be desired (presence of dust in places, garbage from former customers found under the sofa ...), as well as the quality of the installations (broken door, broken slat, broken drawer, and so on. ) so be sure to take stock of the entrance to avoid bad surprises.
Regarding the swimming pool, you should know that with the Covid-19 period, you can book in 30min slots, which is relatively short.
However, they do mention an open spa, which I still haven't found ?!
The hotel's location in the city center is a major asset for it, as everything is within walking distance.
Despite everything, it was a good stay, but I cannot give more than 3 stars because some points remain to be improved.

Occasionally it looks like a "sneak-through-crawl-through" hotel because of the different buildings that are "tied together". Food was excellent !!

The hotel is perfectly situated across from Amsterdam Centraal, allowing easy access to public transportation within Amsterdam and moreso tby the Intercity or Sprinter trains to the rest of the Netherlands. The rooms are well appointed and quite comfortable. Additional plussed are the food and beverage options. A perfect home base for business or pleasure.

It is in very good location, close to Amsterdam central. Rooms are good, equipped with coffee maker, tea kettle, fridge, iron box, hair dryer etc. My husband stayed many times here on his official visits. This time service is not good. Room cleaning, changing bed sheets, and other services are also not good. Disappointed this time.,

Lovely, trendy and confortable hotel situated 10 min walk from Amsterdam Station.. Large and tasty buffet breakfast, friendly staff..Recommended !

Good location hotel in front of Amsterdam central station and easy to walk to red light area and shopping around city center

Good location. Nice decor. Pool. spa. Gym where closed. Of course this was not mentioned at all when we booked. No discount was given. Restaurant is over priced and underwhelming. They could not even cook carrots correctly (under done). I would stay here again. But only for the location not for the hotel quality.

The location is at 5. True, due to the repair of the road, the street in front of the hotel became a little narrower and had to go around all this disgrace on the way to the metro. The staff was always polite and ready to help. Room information - Oak in size and equipment: there was a capsule coffee maker and kettle, and an iron with ironing board. There is an ice maker on each floor. Make-up numbers are made up every day, shampoos and other washing supplies are delivered, but I did not understand by what principle linen is changed. The towels are clean every day. Breakfast is good, varied and you can eat normally in the morning. Although the quality of coffee could have worked. The pool is small and quite heavily chlorinated - I do not recommend it. Large sauna - you can visit it. There is no polishing machine for shoes, but you can ask for a special napkin for shoes at the reception desk - they give out without problems. Soundproofing - not perfect, but worthy. There are no toilet brushes in the rooms, so you ll have to put up with the presence of traces of life ;)

I've stayed in few different hotels in Amsterdam before but this was definitely the best. Nice and modern rooms, good breakfast (although expensive), good location, and leisure club free for guests.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Perfect location with extremely friendly staff.

We were staying for one night with a baby. The receptionists gave us a room with a ladder access to the bed. Quite dangerous with a crawler. Also in order to get to the room there are a lot of stair in the hall. If you travel with heavy bags, kids, buggy, etc - be aware of that.
The door to the bathroom was not possible to close fully, the toilet didn t look clean. All the rest of the room was fine.
There are better hotels for the same money. Would not recommend staying longer than one night.

This hotel is amazingly nice and literally in the perfect spot to experience Amsterdam! Easily walking distance from most places but if you're lazy or whatever the main station for the trolleys and canal cruises are all right across the street! Would recommend to anyone going to Amsterdam!

The Park Plaza Victoria is located across the canal from the train station, and several buses stop in front of its doors, making most of Amsterdam convenient for a visitor. The concierge is very knowledge. The restaurant in the hotel serves a delicious breakfast. If staying in Amsterdam again I would probably not bother shopping around for another hotel and would book here again.

The location is great, but could be a little cleaner
Something was smeared on my toilet in the room, I removed it with a des.tuch and that was no discoloration
No house slippers in the room
The floor in front of the pool was dirty and many plastic cups were simply thrown in the sauna and no one looked ...
Breakfast is very good and the staff was very nice
The bar is very good too
Unfortunately only 3 stars because cleanliness should be better in such a hotel

Beautiful hotel with nice personal and amazing bed. But could pay more attention on lot of dents and marks In the room that I didn't like it.

Top location in the middle of Amsterdam. You can reach everything on foot. The rooms were mini and outside is in the evening Halligalli. The service was ok. There is no garage.

I did not stay at the Hotel. I just happened to meet with friends. My assessment was because of what they told me.

Excellent location of the hotel. Price is not cheap and there are better ones in the area like hotel barbizon. We were given a back room and not a view of a central station even though the Association presented the room completely differently. The hotel has no car park and there is no arrangement for a car park which is a big minus. And the third bed in this room was a folding bed and we were very disappointed.

Nostalgic building with a modern twist inside. Located right opposite central station. Prime location.

Hotel location is awesome! However for an Park Plaza this hotel is not as nice as others. Additionally, my first room had some rattling noise from a vent in my room, even when my air conditioning in my room was turned off, this made it hard to sleep. The following day the reception happily helped me, and sorted out a replacement room without anproblem, though.

Older hotel, but location is great if you want to be close to Central Station.

Well placed in the centre of Amsterdam. As a result a bit noisy. Hotel rooms need an uplift; they are a bit outdated.
