Beautiful venue, easy reasonably priced parking, very comfortable conference setting with delicious finger food and great coffee to match the service
The Hyatt Hotel Canberra is an amazing hotel with excellent service. The kitchen was exceptional especially the breakfast had everything you ask for. The staff very friendly and professional. Our room was big and very clean. The clubhouse has a spa area which we really enjoyed with our toddler. Looking forward to staying at Hyatt Canberra again.
Excellent quality rooms, excellent service. Location is not great in terms of dining, but several restaurants are available on the premises.
Had the breakfast there, was good but not so much value on what it's worth
Congratulations on your courage hosting the Christian conference. Christians love the gay community and do not hate them. We simply have different opinions. Respectfully. The hotel is fabulous also and I loved my stay there.
The food and service was great, wonderful selection too
Nice historic hotel. The check in process is simple and the staff are friendly and helpful.
The room it self is quite large and we'll appointed in the art deco theme, aside from the desk lamp that does not match anything else.
The only problem is the air-conditioning whistles when it is on, and in 40 degree heat that is a lot.
I liked the hotel. The room, service and staff were nice. I also used the gym which met my standards. Liked the ambience too.
I took a party of 9 there for a family celebration last week. I made a booking. When we arrived the booking was not there. The staff made us feel completely unwelcome. It was like we had done something wrong. Dreadful. Won t be going back
Nice and excellent location hotel, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable room and great food.
Wonderful evening at the promenade restaurant for the Moroccan night. Look forward to next year's event
Visited the cafe after a citizenship ceremony at Albert Hall nearby. The arts and crafts decor and the old fashioned uniforms of the staff at the Hyatt makes such visits feel very special.
Beers in the garden on a warm sunny day is really great. But being a 5 star hotel it isn't a cheap place to go. There are lots of people in suits, (or corporate business attire) as guests, so if that isn't your dress code, then this probably isn't the place for you.
Covid has meant that they cannot run in buffet format, so they now deliver a tower of plates with one of everything per person.
The cafe now has a minimum charge of $30 per person. Devonshire Tea is $19. They want an additional $11 per person just for the pleasure of sitting there. What a joke. Every time I stay at this hotel I swear it will be the last. But this time it really is.
we stayed here for our tenth anniversary, it was everything we hoped for, amazing breakfast, ambiance and the rooms are beautiful, i'd highly recommend this for anyone in need of a romantic get away
Good hotel. High tea was great. Rooms and common areas a bit dated and needs a facelift
Very refined hotel in Canberra. Close to Parliament House.
Beautiful rooms with large bathrooms, and buffet breakfast was extensive
High Tea is a real treat. The food is amazing. So beautifully presented and delicious. It is a once a year decadent outing for my family, but it's worth it. Service is fantastic as well.
Buffet dinner. Good food. Unsure of other facilities but looks nice. Staff well presented.
Well presented hotel in a quiet but convenient location.
5 star hotel in Canberra close to the Parliament house.
One of our favorite hotels in the whole world. Been coming for years and expect to keep coming for many more.
Great food great staff great service clean and well maintained
Just popped in to have a coffee ($7 for a large). Some areas of the hotel look great other bits look tattered. Friendly service
Beautiful hotel - fabulous decor coupled with excellent service. Underground secure car parking at $25 a day. Well placed for all the sights but Canberra a bit too spread out for easy walking.
A fabulous place to stay.
This beautiful hotel ticks all the boxes and for me is the ONLY place to stay when in Canberra.
Great rooms, an outstanding restaurant and very friendly staff make this hotel a cut above the rest.
Very nice hotel in Canberra. The room and the bathroom were quite large and nice. The breakfast was good with ample selection. The staff friendly and helpful. The hotel gym and pool with adjacent sauna were ideal to get some exercise in the early morning. The gym has even a heavy bag and boxing gloves. Recommended.
Had a few drinks at the bar before a weddings reception. Lovely atmosphere and polite, halpful staff.
Really disappointed a 5 star hotel such as the Hyatt does not have a day spa that is available to guests other than very specific hours with extremely limited options and an out sourced practitioner who was less than helpful. On a rainy day it is a very wet walk from main hotel to the seperate building to find this out.
Such a classic place to stay...plus restaurant and bars fantastic
Congratulations Hyatt Hotel for standing up for freedom of speech and not bowing to the attacks against your brand!
Stayed at the Hyatt two weeks ago and it was a wonderful experience and will be back!
One of the oldest hotels in Canberra. Classy and luxury. All the 5 star facilities are available here. Not a modern hotel but luxurious old architecture. Definitely expensive. Food is good. There's no high rise or multi storey building but the property spread across good area and rooms are large with big washrooms. Pool, gym, jacuzzi, spa, massage are part of the facilities available here.
Decore is quite old and dated, but it has good food, service, facilities and Foxtel
We organised a university ball, the food and service were excellent and the staff were very helpful!
Always a relaxing charming environment.pleasant friendly staff.excellent food.
A beautiful Hotel set in a great location. The entrance is grand with a lovely layout. The room I stayed was simple and nice with all the 5 star necessities included . Buffett Breakfast was what you would expect from a 5 star Hotel nothing less. The parking costs an extra $25.00 which is a bummer you can park at the front of the Hotel however it is metered during peak hours. This Hotel is on the high end that's what you would expect from a 5 start Hotel.
Was here as part of the Tim the Yowie Man tour. Everything was awesome
A grand old girl. Time for a refurb but still comfortable. Hard to find an Aussie native English speaker but once over the translation issues they are very nice and helpful. Would stay again. Parking situation at the hotel is quite bazaar with the ACT government owning all the parking around the hotel and charging on an hourly basis. What a rip-off. Opportunism at its worst.
Wonderful staff very affordable to chat and good service throughout the premises. Spectacular location and sorroundings. Just a little thing to complaint: The maid was upset to do her duties and we're shocking to discover that attitude. Very unpleasent... Apart from this 'incidental' we believe there are reasons to come back because all the other staff ARE GREAT
I booked a room from the hotel website for my family for 2 adults and one child and I requested an additional bed for my 5-year-old son. When I arrived, there was no additional bed and when I requested one, I was asked to pay $80 extra. Never anywhere in the world, I have been asked to pay extra for an additional bed for my child. Every hotel is transparent about the price of the room when it is booked, however, The Hyatt Hotel with its strategy of hidden costs to get as much money as possible from customers is very disappointing :(
First and last stay in Hyatt Canberra.
We rang room service three times with no answer then finally someone took our order at around 9.30pm, at 10.30pm it had not arrived. When we called to check where our meal was they said our order was lost. 10.50pm it arrived. We had also felt the room was uncomfortably hot as the aircon didn t cool down. We called for assistance and the staff member agreed that our room was very warm and said he would shift us to a new room so at 11.45pm we had to shift to an airconditioned room where we then smelled someone smoking cigarettes in that section of the hotel! On checkout we drew attention to this extremely low level of comfort in one of Canberra s top hotels. They did recognise our complaints and credited our meals and drinks but there has not been any further follow up from the hotel apologising for our terrible experience! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
A nice meeting place for and early morning balloon flight.
Very homely ,sophisticated, 5 star hotel with all the trimmings.
Extremely friendly and attentive staff who from the front desk to the restaurant staff will go out of their way to assist you.
The meals especially the comprehensive breakfast are first class and cannot help but leave you in a positive mind frame.
Close to all the attractions with plenty of parking.
Highly recommended.
Rooms were lovely, but there was a weird musty smell and I got completely lost finding my room and then again in the morning finding the lobby! Terrible signage and directions
Unforgettable experience. As expected from Hyatt but with a very unique and exquisite Australian taste. Highly recommend you to visit. If not stay, at least enjoy great food from breakfast to dinner and of course must have a drink at the bar and where former PM Bob Hawk's was fond of.
King beds are very uncomfortable - so bad I ended up sleeping on the lounge cushions on the floor can you believe?? The mattresses need replacing ASAP. The rest of the hotel is great - but if you can't get a decent sleep then that's a fundamental problem. My mum was in another room and didn't sleep either. So it's not a one off mattress failure. Time to upgrade Hyatt :-(
We had high tea, the food was delicious. However there was a 45 minute wait for our tea and only one free champagne. At 62 per person I would expect more than that. Piano was too far away and couldn't hear properly. It also wasnt decorated that nicely, we had to bring in our own flowers and vases.
Very nice. A bit pricey but good for high end events.
Lovely spacious old Canberra style hotel on the lake. Very good clubhouse pool and gym
Still the place to stay in Canberra. The buffet breakfast makes up for the slightly dated gym/pool.
Nice enough, not really sure there was anything special about it.
Classic Hyatt hotel! Just what you'd expect from a Hyatt!
