Not bad. Not great. Worst part is probably the fact that the master bedroom smelled like a kennel. They tell us our building is not supposed to be pet friendly but the smell of dog urine in the room says otherwise. Possibly stronger smell due to the heavy rain and overall dampness in the air but, still.

Also, bathrooms were tiny and cramped despite the large rooms and overall space of the 2 bedroom villa.

TVs in both bedrooms and in living room, but all were tiny. Also, there was a smart BluRay player in the living room but the features were unavailable despite the wifi, because it required a hardwire connection.

In the end it was still nice to have a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and separate bedroom from the kiddos while on a week vacation, and close to both the Disney parks and immediate shopping and dining options.

We loved it, 2nd time we go this year. The first time we stayed in the 3 bedroom villa and were able to accommodate 11 people comfortably, the beds are big and comfortable, living room dining room combo is open and comfortable as well, everything was very clean. The parks are very close. Also a Publix is less than a mile away so we did all our shopping there. We loved it so much, we ended up coming back 2 months later, it was a little cold for the kids to go inn the pool so we did other things inside the resort. They had a blast, didn't even miss the pool. We already book our 3rd stay this year!

Beware of the high pressure salesman to con you into buying a timeshare. They pressure you to the point of a near breakdown- it's unbelievable! The grounds are immaculate, the staff at River Grill suck- they're so rude and could care less about customer service. The rooms are nice, sofa and loveseat are extremely uncomfortable. Keep an eye on your vehicle as someone was letting the air out of one tire and tried to steal the center emblem from my wheel.

DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY!!!

DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY!!!

The presentation is awful! They act as if you want to be there when in fact someone at the hotel begs you to attend the presentation for 90 minutes. Not only is it not 90 minutes, it s 3-4 hours for something that is extremely more expensive than what I am doing now. $50,000 for something that can t build equity nor can I stay there all year. Second the staff is EXTREMELY RUDE AND as a IHG SPIRE ELITE member I can see through the holes. They offer you 200,000 points which equals to four stays at $350 each stay. That s not a deal. Third the manager accused me of doing the presentation before when in fact I never have. However my sister has. Then they called me a liar and treated me like trash. Then I had to catch a ride back to my car. Totally a joke. Save your money and don t buy into this scam.

This is our fifth or sixth time coming to Orange Lake Resort, and each time has been wonderful. We've brought family here, we've brought friends here, we've had friends meet us here. All of the staff has been friendly and welcoming each time. The accommodations have always been wonderful until this time. But! As we were checking in we found out that what we were getting was not exactly what we thought we were had reserved. Lisandra and Marietta worked some magic and made everything perfect. I can't wait for our friends to arrive today and see our accommodations. They are going to be amazed! Thank you again Holiday Inn Resorts for making another wonderful vacation happen.

Upon our early arrival, we checked in with front desk. Entering the line we got a sense of a scheme taking place. We noticed checking in was taking far longer than it should have. The gentleman who checked us in wasn't very informative and was short with our questions. His computer kept freezing and had to restart several times. We arrived early and was told our room would be ready at 4pm. After that process they pushed us over to another representative to help us with our parking voucher. This was when we knew a sales scheme was coming. We were offered a package that includes mini golf/slides & lazy river tubes for rental of $50 per person per day. Then since we were checking in could be waived to $15 per person/day. Then was asked off tomorrow early morning was good for our property tour. After telling them we were not interested in their expensive tube rental and timeshare, they asked us why we weren't interested. That's very unprofessional! We left front desk and found the lazy river area. The river was 2ft in areas which made it difficult to navigate being an adult. I would betcha they purposefully made the lazy river 2ft to make people rent their dingy half inflated tubes. Also the concrete pathways between the pools get scorching HOT from the sun. Most places use irrigation to cool them down. Apparently they don't care. We left and went to Island H20 at Margaritaville. SO Much Better!! We kept check6oir phones for the promised phone call on when the room would be ready. At 5pm we called front desk who never apologized. They said they reached out to house keeping and it just became ready. How is check in at 5pm?? We arrived to our rental which was a cottage style home. The dirty linens were in a cloth bag laying by the front door. Really tacky. Then noticed our room floors were very wet from a quick mopping. The bedroom carpets were wet too! The room was good but was very far from any of the resorts attractions. They offer a shuttle service.. but who wants to stand in Florida's heat waiting on a shuttle? Kinda annoyed how we were handled during check in and their timeshare/tube rental gimmick. Upon check out, the front desk never asked how our stay was. We commented about a hair dryer outlet that wasn't working. We were told she would get it repaired but she never made any notes or seemed concerned. I'd never come back or recommend others to this property.

We are Holiday Inn Vacation Club Owners, this was our first stay with HI since they bought out our previous time share company. This company doesn't care about it's owners at all or protecting our property values.
Our issues:
1. The tub drain wasn't installed properly, resulting in the tub to leak into the kitchen and the hallway. It took three calls to get a maintenance person to come look at the tub, and two days to fix.
2. Giant cockroach in our room, we were told that's 'normal because of the palm trees'
3. The carpet in the hallway was soaked and they brought a blower out to dry it. The hallway smelled of mildew our entire stay.
4. We had to use every towel in the unit to clean up the mess in the kitchen. When we finally asked when more would be delivered, the house keeping staff rang our door bell at 2 AM to drop them off.
5. Took a seemingly clean pan out to cook, turns out the outside was covered in grease, resulting in the unit becoming filled with smoke.
6. Housekeeping disconnects the burners on the stoves when they clean each unit, which is great. Except, they don't properly reconnect the burners when they are done. One burners bracket was completely loose and no longer secured to the stove.
7. The shower doors and tile were completely disgusting. (Blamed on a third party cleaning company)
8. The staff did not feel the need to help in any way, they laughed at us and asked what the inconvenience was. Eventually a manager gave us a three day play pass as if that made up for all of the issues we had, and we only got the play pass because the original manager we spoke with was laughing in our faces.

Save your money. AVOID THIS PLACE.

4-star resort ?? !! Give it 1/2 of a star or none.
Worst resort experience ever ! Rooms are outdated and dirty. Stains on towels and sheets. Tiny TVs , half of the appliances do not work.
Check in process took almost an hour, a long line with no people at the counter. After giving you a room they send you across the lobby to get you parking pass, which is just an excuse to feed you some BS about buying their timeshare. They want you to sign up for a tour,, which is 90 min, and will give you 100$ in resort credits. And no matter how many times you tell them that you are not interested they will keep pushing , until you sign up. Then if you decide to cancel the will charge you a 30$ fee. After seeing the first villa they gave us, with roaches on the floor and door handles broken, I went back right away to cancel, but they will keep pushing their offers on me so I will do the tour. And once you finally say no to them , they get nasty and rude. My point is that I DO NOT HAVE to do any tours, I payed for my vacation with my own money already, and all I have to do is enjoy it. Then they kept calling the room at 8.30 am to see if we would change our mind on that. It made me go and complain to a manager and she had to contact them . They still called me one more time and got very rude on the phone.
As for non-functional appliances , I almost got electrocuted by their hair dryer, since i turned it on it was shooting sparks and smoking. They dont check anything before checking people in.
The outside area was nice, the pools and lay river. However, if you want to be surrounded by only white old people that give you dirty racists looks you will definitely enjoy the area.
Once again, I booked this place based on the 4 star resort rating, and it's not worth even one star.

This place truly feels like home. It is an excellent place for families with the many swimming pools, resort activities and proximity to Disney. We normally stay in a fully stocked villa that allows us to cook for our family rather than eating out constantly. There's a Publix, Super Target and Walmart located close to this location.

Since this is a timeshare property, you will be asked to sit through a presentation at check in. Overall, this is my favorite place to stay when visiting the Orlando area.

This is our second time at this resort through my in-laws time share. It's a great vacation with kids. The pools are great and have lots of features, there are daily activities for everyone, the food and drinks are reasonable (for vacation standards), and the accommodations are nice. Would definitely go back. And probably will.

The amenities were awesome! Lots to do within the property walls. Plenty of pools. Lots of ponds for fishing. The time share presentation was hardcore! It was the highest pressure situation I've ever sat through (I've been through three before this one). Room was clean and orderly. Staff was accommodating, and the prices of food and drinks on property was very reasonable. Overall a great trip

I have always enjoyed coming to OLR . Huge rooms with all the amenities you could ever want. If you need replacement pans or toasters or a repair, the staff is there within the hour. The grounds are filled with activities for young and old. From bingo to watercraft. More pools to accomadate lazy river floating, water volleyball or laps in heated water. Drinks of all kinds, I prefer frozen pina coladas. Restaurants on grounds or plenty to choose nearby. Love it here!!

Please do your research before staying at this resort!!! Call and ask questions do not buy into what you are told by the website. The resort is enormous and decent as far as room accommodations and pools that is the only reason I ve given one star. What they do not tell you is the lazy river, water slides, etc are not included unless you go to a time share presentation or pay per day. The time share people will call you over and over your first morning you arrive no matter what time you have checked in the night prior. So if you get in late be prepared for an unscheduled wake up call asking you to spend more money. The maids will not come and replace used products, replace bedding, or take out trash unless you pay an additional maid service fee of 100 dollars each cleaning! The shuttles to get around the property may be very far in the 90+ degree heat from a lot of the villas. If you plan to stay you will need to rent a car depending where you are placed just to get around the property or if you are someone who loves taking mile long walks in the hot humid air. They charge a resort fee upon arrival as well as hold 115 dollars incase of damages that I never got back nor did I damage anything at all. It is nearly impossible to get the front desk on the phone. They are beyond unhelpful. Check out during high peak season spring break took 40 mins. They only had 2 people at the desk checking people in and out. Check out is at 10 A.M. they are not leanient at all the maids show up at your door at 9:30 am rushing you to leave. If you ask for extra time they will charge you a full night even if you are only asking to stay an extra hour. I don t know about you but I like to not have to stress on vacation and this resort caused a lot of stress.

I wish I could give them a zero. In September 201...

I wish I could give them a zero. In September 2018 I made reservation at a Holiday Inn in Orlando. The representative asked if I would like to take advantage of a 3 nights stay at their exclusive resort for $199, and it is good for one year. I asked him if any strings were attached to this promotion, and he said no. I went ahead and did the booking. Around the end of October 2018 I called and reserved November 3, 2018 - November 7, 2018 to stay in Orlando. I was told that we have to attend a 2 hours session for soliciting the sale of Timeshare Interest. I informed the associate that I am not interested in buying any timeshare at this time, and he said if we do not attend our credit card will be charged. I was very upset, and I informed him that if they had mentioned this to me initially I would not have paid the $199. We went to Orlando on November 3, 2018 and when we got to the hotel I said to my husband (Oscar) this is not a resort. They booked us into a roach coach on highway 192. I was furious when I went into the bedroom. I immediately called customer service, and told them about the condition of the hotel, and I mentioned that we were suppose to be in a resort, and the associate told us to wait, so she can contact her supervisor. She came back on the phone and told us she had a new location for us. I went to the new location, and once again it was not a resort. I was so angry, and disappointed all weekend because I did not enjoy myself. I told my husband we will stay until Tuesday to attend the meeting to avoid them from charging our credit card.

On Tuesday October 6, 2018 we went to Orange Lake Country Club for the meeting at 12:30 p.m. I met with a sale person by the name of Darin. It all started out good, and I mentioned my frustration about what happened to us, and he said how sorry he was and normally that is not their way of doing business. Upon completion of the tour I truly enjoyed the overall setting of the country club however, I still had a bad taste in my mouth about how they went about business initially. I told my husband we are not going to make any purchase until I do some research about this place. The sales person (Darin) was very bumptious, and once again I started getting upset. I firmly told him we need to think about it, and he said intelligent people do not think about things they just make a decision. I immediately told him that I have a degree in management, therefore I am intelligent and regardless of what he thinks we are not buying the timeshare until we do some research. He called another person over, claiming he will check us out. We followed that individual to another area, sat down with him and went over what took place earlier. He left us at a desk and another person came trying to persuade us. I told the last person we met with, that we need to leave, and once again he tried to persuade us. I finally told him in a firm tone that I need the $150 they promised us, so I can leave. Again, they did not honor their agreement. They gave us $100, and some points. I am extremely disappointed with Holiday Inn Club Vacation, and they have left a very bad taste in my mouth about buying a Timeshare. I asked to speak with a manager and was ignored. People be aware of this place. They are very dishonest, and uncaring. They value money more than people, very unethical company.

The hotel rooms are big for single family. They are clean and comfortable. To my surprise they had a full kitchen with toaster, blender, coffee machine, stove and cookware for a comfortable stay. I had a toddler and we are vegetarian, so being able to cook was a big plus. This place is also centrally located next to a lot of food joints and the parking is also free here. Overall I'm a very happy customer. Would love to return for another vacation to stay here

We got a 2 bedroom 2 bath Villa for 3 nights that fits 8 people on a promotional deal. The Villa unit itself was very pretty and spacious inside. However, the water heater did not work and we had to shower in cold water the entire time. Additionally, the elevator didn't work during night time and there were no other elevators near by. We were lured into the 90 minute presentation which we tried to change the date and time for but no body would pick up the phone call. We ended up missing our scheduled time and they were not working with us in order to find a mutual time that works. We ended up getting something for midday which ruined our whole day because we were supposed to be going to Disney World earlier that morning. The time share presentation itself ran more than 90 minutes. The presentation was a rep who was forcing his sales pitch in order for us to buy time share which we had no interest in. It was a complete waste of time and energy. Drinks and snacks were provided but no breakfast/lunch. Overall, we will not be coming back to this resort.

Not recommended for travellers with no car but staff are sooo nice and attentive . Shoutout to sary(server at breeze), valery and christian(valet attendant i guess) they're awesome!

Me and my sister was invited for timeshare. There is a mandatory presentation you have to attend. Just a heads up the presentation consume half of your day. It was so stressful and almost made me cry(the agent is being rude and lil bragged)

Just be nice, polite, be prepared, be careful what to say/respond to the agent, be sure and firm with your decisions and youll be fine.

We went as a time-share package week. We had a 2 bed, 2 bath condo in the quietest part of the massive compound. It's a beautiful resort, especially if you're a golfer. Close to Universal Studios, Disneyworld, Epcot & more. Went to the tour (for the time-share pitch) & wound up buying! It was a great week at a terrific resort.

I was robbed by the housekeeping staff. They sole my camera bag with all of my chips in the bag. I have one child and all of her childhood are on those chips. Contacted the staff immediately and all they would do was say we will call you back and they never did. I called for 1 week straight and they could care less. I express how important this was to me and they did not care. Also you have to pay extra for everything such was the water slide for the kids the tube for the lazy river etc. The pool stays open until 10:00 but the poolside bar closed at 5:00. Makes no sense. This was by far the worst vacation I have had in the last ten years. Stay away if you want to keep you stuff safe. Oh I forgot, the cleaning staff enters your room without permission. When I call the front desk and ask why they were in my room they said it was an mistake.

Landscaping at 6a to 730a that woke up my kids on the 3rd day of our vacation. Roaches all over the kitchen on the 4th day. I stepped on 9 and saw at least 3 more running under the stove and up the wall in the pantry. I should be sleeping, enjoying my time off work but now I'm disgusted. Day 6 just came back from a nice dinner to find another baby cockroach running around the kitchen counter. I also forgot to mention the fan in the bathroom sounds like an airplane taking off.

Went for a time share presentation ... They say it's no pressure which is a lie. At the end they have 4 people to try & push you to commit for $50,000 right then & they get upset & rude when you don't want to give them any money. A blonde lady from michigan tried to sell us a vacation even though she said she was not in sales LIE & when we said no thank you. She said we don't understand anything she said & were distracted & just got up & walked away. I was actually considering to purchase with Holiday INN their 200,000 points package but after this poor treatment definitely not! They definitely lost my business.

Unfortunately very disappointed that they had to shut down all of the resorts amenities and everything during hurricane even though nothing was happening. I understand safety but at least compensate by offering a complimentary voucher, or credits towards next stay or an extra night. Very disappointed unfortunately . Was so e cited to stay here due to all the amazing reviews said!

The check in process was the worst I've gone through at any resort. The staff tried to rush you through and it was so loud you couldn't hardly hear anything said. The rooms were nice. There was a chemical smell in the hallway to the room. The campus is very beautiful very well landscaped. They charge you for everything from put-putt to even a float for the lazy river. Not enough parking in front of your own building.

This past Saturday, My mom and I was directed by the Concierge at Staybridge suites to do the Tour of this Holiday Inn Vacation Club, as we advised them we were potentially interested in purchasing a timeshare. Kaysaa from Puerto Rico was our tour guide and she was FANTASTIC!! She was Knowledgeable and very sympathetic when my mom had an emotional moment because my Stepdad recently passed away (this was out first trip without him). After the tour was completed ( 3 hours later ), we were advised that if interested, the purchase must be made today. However, this wasn t communicated to us by our Concierge at Staybridge. We advised Kaysaa that we weren t prepared to make a $50,000 purchase without viewing our other options with out brands before the trip ended. Nonetheless, we advised her that although we understand we would lose the on property incentives , that we may more than likely return because IHG clearly has a lot of benefits. WE WILL NEVER RETURN AND DECIDED NOT TO PURCHASE. Here s why; Kaysaa kindly informed us that her manager just needs to come over and talk with us for a few before we leave, so we waited patiently. Mr. MIKE MCGIBONEY approached our table, and THIS is where it all went left. He literally tried to FORCE us to make a purchase on the day of, after we clearly informed Kaysaa, then subsequently him as to why we could not do so. When we denied multiple times, he became very angry, condescending and RUDE!! I work in Customer Service, hence I know the difference between trying to win a customer over (professionally) & bullying them into a sale despite them repeating No on numerous occasions. But the bullying wasn t my major issue, Mr. MIKE MCGIBONEY behavior what he did and said next was the big problem! Because he literally kept forcing us into a yes, by allegedly dropping the price and suggesting payment plans, My mother whom is still mourning the death of her husband of 25 years, started to become really uncomfortable and agitated. So as her son, I took initiative and RESPECTFULLY told Mike that we are not interested in making a sale TODAY, that he kindly respect our final answer and allow us to leave . He proceeded to say Well the tour isn t under you name, you can leave pal , in the most disrespectful and dismissive way possible!! I stood up in shock, getting ready to leave, as I could not believe my eyes and ears. My mother gasped then replied This is my son, and don t you talk to him that way ! Mike ignored her and directed all of his frustration towards me mouthing Just leave, thank you for wasting our time ! I responded in shock as I told him that me and my mother are leaving together, and it doesn t matter who the tour was under, you don t speak to people this way! He then demanded that I then sit the hell down , as if I was a Dog or house pet!!! My mom, Kaysaa and myself was shocked he then stood up violently and told us that we both can leave! I asked who was the manager, he advised us in the most facetious manner that he was the manager, and dismissed himself. I was shocked, upset and tremendously disappointed as I could not believe someone with such an attitude was employed with this property. Eventually, the matter went to Joe (allegedly the sales Director) and he apologized on Mr. Mike s behalf, advising that he would document Mike.. Julien Ellis also came over and apologized to us as he was also a Bahamian native. Eventually, Joe made Mike come over and apologize, in which he did in the most insincere and cocky way possible!! Before we were able to speak to Joe, even the tour agent Kaysaa advised she was sorry and didn t know he was going to act like that!! Mr. Mike McGiboney deserves to be fired or reprimanded immediately for his behavior!!! I ve worked in the hotel industry for 7 years and could never get away with such a disrespectful behavior! I have audio recordings of the conversation with Joe. I will send to upper management if requested. Worst experience ever!!

Avoid the "tour" they will try to convince you to take. They most definitely did not show us around the resort except to show us a sample time share option and then practically hold us hostage in a high pressure sales tactic assault. The first person had to "get over person to sign off and then [we'd] be on our way." Which was actually an escalation to another sleazy person with a slightly cheaper option who was practically insulting us with his pitch. A couple "no's" to this sales person was met with another "I'll go get so and so to sign off and you'll be on your way." This next person yet again had a still cheaper option and also needed to get one last person before we could walk away. The last person was even more of a jerk, insulting us and kept making additional offers and not letting us leave. Between each pitch we had to sit there for 5 to 10 minutes waiting. ... With a pissed of and highly active toddler who wasn't feeling well and was most definitely done sitting still. We then had to be driven back to our car before we could leave. We spent part of the voucher we got out of that ordeal on a pizza from their little shop. I was the only one to actually eat any of it and spent that evening enjoying a nasty bought of food poisoning. Our toddler ended up with an ear infection and strep throat from the kiddie pool.
On the good side our room had a decent kitchen and there were a few good areas to take our toddler to play when he was feeling well. The resort is pretty well positioned for those visiting the parks. All in all the accommodations were decent.
