A little disappointed with all of the "extra" cost for the amenities but that is the only reason for 4 stars and not 5. Beautiful setting for vacation and love the spacious rooms. Some of the other guests seemed pretty stuck up but most were nice.

Bad first impression. Very unorganized for my arrival !! Gave us room keys to an already occupied unit ?? I will post an update after I enjoy the amenities that this place has to offer. Fingers crossed !

*Update*
The pools are what make this place what it is !! The lazy river was amazing and made up for the bumpy start. Your staff is a reflection of your company so training should be extremely important especially when your in the business of handling people's vacations/Dreams !! Lots stay here to visit Disney. So in short get that training up and we will continue to stay here.

I loved everything about this resort the rooms are beautiful clean and comfy but I was very disturb with the timeshare sales guy he offered to show us around and the prize would be 150 dollars if we participated. After we did our 90 minute tour the sales guy pressured us into buying a timeshare we respectfully declined. this guy continuously begged us to put a 2000 dollar down payment and told us we wouldn't regret it WE DECLINED AGAIN . After about 15 more minutes of him begging he finally stop and gave us the money . He was so mad that he left us me and my husband had to walk back to our rooms the room was very far from the office we went to probably about a 20 minute walk the resort is HUGE. It was freezing cold . I was very disappointed in this place I won't be back !!

Avoid at all costs !!!! Beautifull place. Huge rooms. Extremely pushy sales people. Wont take no for an answer. There bosses wont either. They spring a 90 min time share sales pitch on you at check in. Ours was over 3 hours of us saying no.. ruined the whole vacation. Ill never stay there again

We stayed here for a week in a 2 bedroom family suite. I like how it has a kitchen and laundry in the suite. For extended stay with a group, those are a must have on my list. The resort is big, quiet and had beautiful landscaping. The water park is enjoyable also, we spent a morning there. The couple things I disliked was the line and how long it took to check in. Also there is no housekeeping during the stay.

Don't be mislead!!! Stay here if you want to go through endless timeshare pitch, along with useless front staff. Our room was filthy. Visible layers of dust. Hairs on the bed and in the supposed clean ice bucket. I was told numerous times that that a simple request like additonal pillows could be accomidated with ease for a medical need to sleep upright. Only I had to make request after request to be told no and then close to midnight find out they could. Wish we would have stayed at a Marriott. Never would have had this tereatment. Wow 1st & last visit.

Terribly disappointed with this Resort. I've been coming here for five years now and I'm usually very happy. Unfortunately, not this year. I walked in my suite and saw not one but THREE bugs, one of which was an enormous cockroach. Another was lying on the bed. Upon reaching management the next day( they didn't answer any of my calls or texts that day or even the next day, I had to go in person to talk to someone), they merely said they'd send someone to spray and expected that to be good enough. Eventually we got to speak to a manager who mostly repeated what his employee had said which was that someone was going to spray the room for bugs and that's all why can expect. He refused to even consider moving us to a clean suite. Eventually he gave us a small voucher and said that was all he could do. I just don't know how I'll sleep at night knowing there were bugs in the kitchen and on my bed and on the walls. This was so embarrassing for me because I had been telling my friend I brought with me how great it would be for weeks and now this. I'm so disappointed in Holiday Inn and in IHG for allowing this. I don't know what happened to good customer service but I didn't find any here.

The only good thing I can say about the hotel is its location. They DO NOT come to make your room up daily, must be here for 10 or more days. They DO NOT give you fresh towels, you can purchase for $8 or do your own laundry which is free. I do enjoy going on vacation and having to all the little thing I do at home. I'm not saying the have to be in your room every day freshen it up maybe every other or every 3 days.

They also charge you for all the things you would like to do that advertise on their website like the lazy river, water slide, mini golf and so on. They do offer a discount on a package which seems good but they hound you to go to sales pitch for a minimum of 90 mins. 1st off the sales pitch goes way longer than 90 mins and it is not kid friendly.

Not a great experience . There are plenty of other nice places to stay nearby.

Sat through their timeshare presentation. We already own one timeshare so we know the process. We were told it would take an hour, we were there for two and a half hours. Our appointment was at 7:45 am and we were told our children could stay in their childcare area and could play XBox and they would be given snacks. The XBox was broken and our children were not given anything to eat. We dropped them off at 8 am and weren't taken back to their location until 11 am. We were also promised a three day pass to the resort's water area and a $30 restaurant credit. We received the pass but no one knew anything about the restaurant credit. When the clerk tried to call, she kept getting a busy signal. Since we knew our children had not had anything to eat, we didn't wait around for her to find someone. Beware!

Absolutely terrible experience.

Absolutely terrible experience.
They don't care about your time.
All what matters for them is to sell you something.
At the end wanted us to donate money for sick kids and if you refuse, they get really ugly.
Unpleasant place.

Staying at the Orange Lake Resort was a great time...

Staying at the Orange Lake Resort was a great time for the family. Our building was next to the River Island Area and it couldn't get any better. A beautiful tropical scenery with a hot tub secretly snuggled between the birds of paradise and waterfalls. Pool Games, volleyball tournaments, sand art, hair wrappings, arcade, mini golf, playground... So much more. The services was hit or miss. Management was entertaining and accommodating while we wasted to sit or larger group at the breakfast buffet, which was delicious. Staff was wonderful, so busy and attentive. Outside- Orange shirts lacked attention to their job. Several river attendants-life guard(?) were using their phones. Slide monitors were carrying personal conversations then spoke to a child about stopping on slides, in fact the top person sent down another to fast on a non slick slide. Three employees took the stairs before a guest, and my family had car problems and I needed a ride to front gate but was denied only later to see other guest on this non shuttle cart. Knowing that it is hard to truly find dedicated service people that take an interest in their quality of work, it would not so us from putting this destination on our summer hotel circuit. The Resort was a fantastic getaway. We did not leave and enjoyed beautiful two bedroom accommodations.

Avoid this place like the plague. Be careful with the timeshare tour too. It will consume 5 hours of your day. They say they will give you $100 dollars for your time, but they forgot to tell me they deduct $35 for marketing material provided....

Buyer beware. This company does not honor its contracts. I have a contract that states free endless escape. Now they want to charge me for it. I have a deeded property paid in full. Now if I want to use it they want to charge me a usage fee. I already pay $1200 a year for maintenance and it s paid in full.

I love everything about this resort. From the rooms to the location to the resort style pools. Only reason I won't give 5 stars is the staff in check in and sales. Getting checked in takes over an hour each time and they pressure you to do owner updates every time. Also the timeshare salespeople are to aggressive and don't tell the truth just to make a sale.

Nice rooms, nice grounds, not easy to navigate in. Be nice if they invited the google car in I could not get directions to anyplace outside the grounds until I got on the highway. It could also use map signs on the roads to help new visitors get around.

My family has stayed at this resort several times. Our stays have ranged 3-7 days. There is always something to do and for all age ranges. You don't have to leave the resort if you don't want to. The resort has several places to eat and drink.

I drive a charter bus, and had a group staying at this complex. The registration staff was very accommodating in putting me in a unit close to where they requested me to park my coach. The villa was extremely nice, with a full kitchen, stocked with the essentials needed for being able to cook and serve food. You will need to take your own coffee creamer, sugar, etc. As that is very limited, and only 2 packs of coffee. Bed was very nice. My villa had 1 king size bed, and an additional bedroom with 2 single beds. Not sure, but possibly couch made into a bed also. Very comfortable,, if I had known that the accommodations we're going to be this way, I would have taken supplies to make it even better. I recommend this facility. It is not as fancy as some I have seen, but very nice, and the staff is very friendly.

I felt like I was at home. The rooms were exactly like they are online. I wish I had more time to stay. Very beautiful campus, excellent pools, wonderful golf course and more than enough tennis and basketball courts. Very safe environment with lots of great amenities. So much more, I just can't wait to go back. I have been to other resorts, Wyndham, Westgate, and others but this was the absolute best. I love it.
