We were invited to attend a 90 minute Holiday Inn Club Vacation presentation while in Orlando, Florida in exchange for ticket discounts. The presentation was pleasant enough, but after politely declining the offer, we were bombarded by three additional "high-pressure" salesmen, which took 2.5 hours to finally end. I had no questions and repeatedly asked to get the promised tickets and be allowed to leave, but was told that the "next-level" supervisor need to evaluate our experience. Going into this experience I had a very positive image of IHG and often stay at their hotels. After our recent experience, our opinion of IHG is very poor and it will be a long time, if ever, that we will patronize any of their motels. We can only assume that IHG corporate officers condone these high pressure sales techniques. This is "bad business" and I intend to spread my experience with all who will listen. Our experience is diametrically opposed the stated IHG Corporate Responsibility statement. I would put this off to a one-off experience, but in my discussions with several of that day's participants, our experience was not unique.

I am an owner and very sorry that I am. I have had one bad experience after another.Nothing is how they make it sound when trying to make a sale. Stay away from Mrs. Sullivan in the sale dept.she is down right mean after she finds out you don't plan on buing more points. They take away much more then they give the owners. It is a scam...do the math, I wish I had.

Very large resort. The shuttle is convenient. However, no one watches their kids and there are no rules to enforce it and staff just lets everyone run wild. I had a group of kids jump on top of me in the lazy river. Kids constantly shoving each other into me. This was not my first time in a resort, but my first one in a resort where people allowed kids to behave this way.

Terrible food. Overpriced drinks because everything came with a souvenir cup!

Love this place so much.....1300 sq ft villas with all the comforts of home.
7 pools to choose from. Lots for the kids to do.
Good prices when you book early.
Close to everything you need in Kissimmee.
It's in Florida!

Don't waste your money on a timeshare. You can get a 2-bedroom villa for $168/night when you book in advance (do a search for "Holiday Inn Friends and Family Rate").

A delightful resort with plenty of amenities to enjoy on your vacation. Family friendly as well as adult friendly. Definitely will be back to partake on the many of activities that's offered.

I want to first start with the service I recieved from reservation. Due to the troubles I had previously they were able to give me a good deal for the weekend and a credit. The check in was great because I am a signature owner I was greeted with a glass of white wine and a private check in. However my room was a handicap room that we did not need. When taking a shower water was all over the bathroom floor. We ordered from the pizza restaurant and the food was delivered cold. And I had to kill a small roach on the bathtub. The staff was friendly and nothing went wrong so far.

I have been an owner since 1989. This resort has been like a home to us, since it has everything you need on site. The only regret has been all the upgrades we have done (own 3 weeks) that has raised our mtc fees.

Over priced busy resort. No personal contact with any staff after check in. Always trying to get you to go on a tour for something free so they can convince you to buy a very expensive timeshare. Don't do it

The last two visits to Orange Lake Resort have been absolutely horrible when it comes to check in and the communication between the departments. We planned a family outing for my parents 55yr anniversary and had booked a three bedroom unit and arrived around 11am to check in and they said it would be ready very shortly and they would call me when ready. I never received a call and when I called at about 3:30 they said that your room would be ready definitely by 4pm and 4:15 came and I never received a phone call but talked to cleaning supervisor and they said it would be at least another hour or so before room would be ready, at which time she (cleaning supervisor) tried to tell us she would give me $20 to go to dinner while we wait, as if twenty dollars is going to take care of 12 family members who are waiting with their luggage outside the room so they could go in and shower from their travels. After finally talking to management for the third time and now it is 6pm we finally were set up in another room. Now jumping forward 3 months my wife and I plan a trip up for a few days for our 18yr anniversary and the same thing happened all over again which is why I am writing this. We have been timeshare owners now for about almost 20yr and these last two trips to Orange Lake have really put a bitter taste in my mouth. The timeshare industry has to start putting more interest into there valued members who own timeshare then getting new members since it is individuals like myself who have bought and paid for there timeshare and continue to keep their membership dues up which pays their salaries.

I thought the resort was nice. They try to have a lot of activities to keep everyone busy and entertained. The room we stayed in seemed newer but was very humid and "sticky". I wish there was a little bit more for the toddlers to do. A lot of the kid stuff is geared toward 10 and over. We were 30 min from the parks so that was a plus.

The ticketing department has the rudest so called manager ever! (Cesar)He has no hospitality what so ever. He has a attitude talks to you like a child. Claims there is no one above him or no corporate he is very ignorant!

Villa was nice. More than enough space and located close enough to get to all of the parks by car. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub in west Village. Did not eat on site so cannot review that. Not a big fan of the pressure to sit through a time share presentation but not surprised.

Place was dirty and over crowded.
I woke up every day before 6:30 because that is when the staff starts chainsawing the plam trees and blows the sand back.
Trash cans were overflowing and the pool was closed twice in one day because of poop.
The staff likes to frown and treat you as ignorant travelers.

Very poor maintenance on the facility. Elevator broke twice, air conditioner broke and we had to move to a another room at midnight, TV has a line down middle of the screen, River Island ride was shut down for maintenance and they knew about it when we booked it yet didn't tell us about the the scheduled repairs.
Worse Holiday inn we've ever stayed in!

I'm highly disappointed that I'm not able to game at this facility being told gaming takes up to much bandwidth well designate a way for people to game I'm never going to stay here again sorry what if you had a tournament to practice for and you couldn't because of this reason that not good you want your customer to have limitless opportunities I don't feel that way now smh

The resort is not as good as it was 10 years ago, but it is still decent. Go elsewhere for true 5 star amenities and provisions. The furniture is not leather; the bath tubes are not 3 person juccuzi's; the pools are not 12 ft deep.

Hotel is great, customer service staff are polite, but transportation is not good, whenever customer check in they must ask do you have car or your own transportation? If customer says no they must provide room near the bus stop or convenience places, I stay 5 days at hotel because of transportation my vacation was miserable.
Anyway thank you !!!

This resort has everything. Tons of pools, golf and activities. Rooms were all clean and nice. My room had a tube TV, but the main living area had a nice flat screen If Disney and other Orlando attractions were not so close you may just stay on the Orange Lake property the whole time.

Good for kids. If you're not bringing young kids, do Not come. There is nothing for adults and rooms are not elegant. Looks like grandma's place. Suppose to look vintage or something. Very disappointed here right now. About a million rooms not even one indoor cool bar. :(

The Resort is well groomed, the villas are nicely appointed and comfortable. Plus we had a great view of the Magic Kingdom nightly fireworks. Unfortunately the quality and level of service do not measure up to their surroundings. Calling the front desk took 4 trys and 40 minutes. On arrival the stove, toaster and water heater were not working. I fixed the water heater by resetting the circuit breakers. An engineer came out for the stove which was also a quick and easy fix. The toaster was a tripped gfci plug. All easy stuff but annoying to deal with first thing. Then on the last night kids were screaming - first I made sure they were not being injured - then called the front desk. This was the 40 minute and 4 trys later when I finally got through. Instead of getting me to a manager as requested, I was sent to an unanswered phone, then back to front desk and then to security. When the kid drama was solved, the security guard followed up with me. I appreciated that, but there was never any follow up from the front desk. I suggest they include either a button for security or at least the extension number on the phone. We were fortunate to not have neighbors till the last night - that was when we discovered the walls are 'thin'. Go with measured expectations and it will be a more enjoyable visit.

The villa and resort were very nice. The fact that using tubes and slides would be $180 unless I did a 90 minute tour was annoying. The "tour" was a very high pressure experience and it took 3.5 hours. I felt like a hostage. More and more people kept coming out with deals after I said no. I'd have to wait 5-10 minutes between each person. The last lady filled out a review without asking me a thing, she wrote great and circled the top rating form MY experience with them! I did argue at this point because I just wanted to be let free. You have to pay for whatever your gift is first, then get it back after you get the form stamped that you attended. Don't do this! It will take your whole day. They didn't care that I had kids I needed to find and feed. It was 3 pm and I was suppose to be done by 1:30 to feed kids lunch. Very bad experience with the sales people. And fake rating that they will use to tell others about their awesome reviews!

Nice place, great amenities, but is you want to use an inner tube for the lazy river, prepared to be screwed! The passes for putt-putt & the lazy river are $75 each for 7 days unless you go through their "90 minute sales pitch". The sales pitch ends up taking closer to 3 or 4 hours when all is said and done. They tell you you can only go through it 4 times, but then force you to go through it year after year for the passes ... and this is with my parents being owners! They.must go through it as well ... AS OWNERS! Ridiculous!

This place is bad. They don't tell you when you show up that they only do housekeeping service if you stay 10 days or longer. Make sure you don't need any more towels or sheets. Oh, you need more towels? $8. Oh you want to talk to a manager? No, too busy, talk to someone who is "as close as you can get to a manager". Seems like they really care to treat you like a guest. I don't know about other people, but when I have guests, I don't charge them and still give them fresh sheets and towels at least every other day. The shower is half working as well. The drain is only partial functioning, so if you want to take a bath, don't waste the time, it drains in seconds.

As soon as you get in they push you over and try to push time shares on you. They don't even let you get to your door. They say, here is a free week or $70 to spend INSIDE THE FACILITY. When we declined, he tried to make it cash to make it better.

Overall, the facility is nice, the pizza was good and the pool was warm. That is the only reason why they get a second star. Apparently for a honeymoon they want to give you 2 full size beds in your room. I would say, take your money and time else where. This place is a money grab and don't care about the people staying here.

Resort is very close to Disney and Universal....hotel has putt putt, a bunch of nice pool, drinks and bars, food, and activities for all ages...most rooms I believe have kitchens ...a Walgreens and publix is right next door for food and necessities.

The main pool is beautiful and so is most of the land and many of the rooms. However, the East Village is not; it was nicely spacious, but extremely outdated. Dishwasher and washing machine were annoyingly loud. The couch felt dirty. This was for our second time staying there in 3 years. The first time we booked a room ourselves and it was actually very nice. We listened to the timeshare presentation which included a tour of a beautiful and updated 2 bedroom (possibly 2+ bedrooms) suite. We considered buying in but weren t ready to make a big decision like that at that exact time so they offered us a deal to come back within 2-3 years to stay in a room like the one they showed us for a discounted rate, 400$ spending money, and listen to presentation again. This is what brought us back recently, but the accommodations were nowhere near as promised. We shared that this was one of our biggest reservations for buying in to a place like this because it s clear you don t always know what you re getting?! They appeared disgusted by the room we received and would see what they could do about it... We declined buying in, and nothing was changed. Maybe it wouldn t have changed either way, but who knows. The 400$ was very generous, but would ve much rathered better accommodations- especially from a place that only advertises such. In addition, it s nearly impossible to reach front desk. We left a blanket there and my call was dropped 3 times to see if they could locate it. Overall, a very disappointing stay and we will not be returning.

Our apartment was fantastic! Spacious and private for our family of 5. Everything we needed was easily found in the apartment. I recommend checking in around 6. Check in starts at four and the lines to check in were still long at 5.

I know it's a vacation club....do not fall for the tours. Not worth the money. While the resorts are nice the cost in the end is not worth it. Not to mention the pressure they put to sell you something.

My family had been looking forward to this vacation for weeks. What a disappointment. We stood at the villa. We had waterbugs, (huge roaches) in front of our door and IN our suite. We were told that is common, We asked to down grade, just so we could stay inside the hotel. And we were told that because we booked with Orbitz, we would have to call them to get some of our money back, for downgrading rooms, Which is crazy... We have been to Orlando plenty of times and have been at plenty of hotels this was a first. It's not common to have water bugs, huge roches in your hotel.

Nice big rooms plenty of space for the whole family and in-laws. However, rooms could use some updates and customer service is very poor and never really helpful. Pools were awesome kids loved them.

The absolute rudest staff I've ever encountered and I travel ALOT! If you don't mind rude hateful staff then this is a great place. Other than rude staff, the resort is wonderful! Several things to do with the whole family! Our villa was clean and roomy!
