Just a wonderful visit to the summer! We were the first time and we will certainly be back! Sight is enough for the second time! This way, there was a guided walk in the summer which was very good and well illustrated the history of the place.

Great scenery and a wonderful old milieu, but a place filled with tourist shops. Personally, I would have expected more traditional artisan workshops and museum-like buildings inside as well, now the buildings are mostly shop in use, with a few exceptions. The blacksmith forges souvenirs in his workshop, it is worth deviating there, you can see the traditional production and you can buy the result of the work. However, the location of the whole village is such that it is worth deviating, just because of the landscape.

Perfect for a summer outing. You can enjoy your own snacks in the park, visit beautiful cafes or opt for the finest restaurants. There was a nice playground for the kids. Full of little craft boutiques, the prices are surprisingly high.

Well worth visiting all-year-round. Small shops selling handicrafts of local artists and labourers, such as design clothing, artwork and minor utensils. A few hotels, B&B's, cafes and restaurants, as well as a very own brewery by the small, pristine river. You'll love the atmosphere of the old village of ironworkers, and might run into a pack of wild deer in the center of the village. Check out the nature activities in the area too!

The idyll of the Ruukki area is delightful. Beautiful buildings and park area with rivers and waterfowl. Good cafes and restaurants, as well as shops and workshops. The local people were very friendly. I would strongly recommend everyone to visit there.

A bit disappointed after long drive from Helsinki to Fuskar village, landscape is nice but nothing specific, only few small hand work shops to visit, you can find better price in some supermarkets than the outlets goods here

Pretty little village, now visited in summer and winter. The whole village is built along a river and in winter they had lovely decorations on the river. In the summer it is a nice walk along the river bank and feed the birds.
The village was originally built around its Iron smelting industry and Fiskars make very high quality, scissors ,knives and kitchen paraphernalia.
The street is lined with shops, coffee houses and resteraunts and I saw one hotel.Enjoyed it more in summer

This place is very quaint. Lots of nice old or old style buildings and a lovely creek running through. There is a nature trail nearby which I walked. On the other hand, it was too expensive for me personally. I think it's catered just to tourists with money, so I didn't even eat here. Just looked around, walked the nature trail, and then headed out to get something to eat at a more reasonable price. Nature trail itself is quite nice, though some parts of it are actual dirt roads with cars going by kicking up dust!

I recommend it to people who want to know how e.g. paper and forged iron objects in Finland. Wood was made into many kinds of necessities. Not to mention linen and utility clothes. I also bongas some old fashioned jewelry.
Today, young artists also bring out newer products, suitable as handmade souvenirs. I enjoyed the visit, thank you to the organizers.

The fifth star would have come off to the end at the thought-out electric car charging point. Firstly, wide charging points should be better marked so that other motorists do not leave their vehicles in the area of electric cars. Secondly, the hourly charge for the euro is otherwise unreasonable in a free car park. 0.15eur / kWh is quite an adequate fee.

An amazing place to visit and see the rich history of Fiskars and to imagine life back when Finland was basically Swedish. My favorite part is the different buildings which are mostly from quite different years and how well some of the oldest have lasted. It must have something to do with those slag bricks. I bet they are super tough. Have a peek in the shops but be prepared to encounter high pricetags. Also there is nowhere to get cash in the village itself. I went specifically to browse a local food market which was a little bit hampered because of course small mobile vendors can't be expected to take cards. Although many do! The permanent shops and restaurants are no problem with either form of payment. It seems to get busy on the weekends but there are several parking lots to choose from. Don't be afraid to pass the first one and drive a little closer.
