We've stayed here a couple times. We've used IHG points during a vacation, and we've also listened to the time-share pitch. If you're willing to listen to a 3 hour sales pitch (they'll claim 90 minutes...) They'll offer you a couple of nights and Disney tickets. It's a great deal as long as you're not susceptible to the sales pitch. If you ARE in the market for a time share, this one seems like a good one to buy into, but watch the recurring fees and hold out until the end when they'll offer you a steeply discounted used unit. One of my biggest complaints is that they barely seem to recognize IHG Platinum membership. Don't expect any special treatment.

I like the condo style rooms, with complete kitchen stuffs, very big property. Didn't like that the lazy river you need to pay $9 per person to use. And only 1 elevator in our building apparently broke down by check out time.

The ONLY thing keeping me from rating 5 stars is the disconnect between IHG and Orange Lake. For example, if I book through IHG my Spire Elite status is recognized, but if I stay as an owner it's not. Please don't try to defend this because I called and talked to manager Gabby who wouldn't even take the time to look me up in the system to see if an early arrival would be granted and I called the day of arrival. Upon arrival, everything was ready (thanks to covid and a Sunday arrival), but this needs to be addressed for future arrivals when things get back to normal. Upon arrival manager Daniel was GREAT as always. He remembered me from my last visit 2 weeks ago so no issues there. Nice resort, nice 2 bedroom apartment, nice River Island with lazy river. I HIGHLY recommend this resort for anyone considering a visit and I promise you won't be disappointed as there's something for all ages from golf to jet skies.

This is our second stay at the property. Everyone we've met has been friendly and helpful. We aren't owners, we just stay as renters. Both times our rooms were in the main building. The rooms are spacious, but could use a little updating. We're looking forward to returning and taking advantage of the resort's offerings.

Love this place! Yes, we had to drive to one of the 5 pool areas! The pool are was not at all packed on a weekend. Room seemed to be newly renovated...plenty of room and a great price! Only reason I didn't give them five stars is that, in order to use the tubes for the lazy river, you have to buy a wrist band which is a bit overpriced. Otherwise, it is fantastic. We will stay there again!!!

Do not buy a timeshare, I made the mistake of buying one from Holiday inn and even paid off the full amount of the debt, only to find out that the times I chose for vacation were always sold out. I chose on purpose dates that Couldn't go that are not pick season and were never available. I end up selling it without making any money back, of course I lost all the money invested.

If you truly were a family owned business and honest with people that work really hard for our money, you should've refunded my money, I made several attempts to explain my situation to your employees in customer service, billing, supervisors, managers and all I got was "I'm sorry but those are the company policy". People don't let them play with your family's money DO NOT BUY A TIMESHARE, you will be stuck with maintenance fees, HOA fees and of course taxes because a timeshare is a luxury, and all this fees and taxes go up every year. If you already made the mistake of buying a timeshare and trying to get rid of it, sorry sad news this timeshares are worthless when trying to sell them, they have no value what so ever.

Very nice place, the sales consultant called my husband rude because we told him we was not interested on a tour & my husband walked off. I thought that was uncalled for when I ask him his name he said "have a nice stay" and he walked off, otherwise our stay was great loved the villa

We stayed in a 3-bedroom condo with our large family for about a week. The amenities were very nice, with clean bedding, bathrooms, and a full kitchen stocked with basic cooking utensils and equipment. The resort itself has plenty to do, with multiple pools, golf courses, restaurants, bars, and enough activities to keep an average person occupied for several days. It is a cashless resort, so bring your credit and/or debit cards. It is located within minutes of shopping and dining centers, within an hour of all of the major theme parks, and an hour and a half from both Tampa and Cocoa Beach. The only downside was the high-pressure time-share sell that was supposed to take two hours, but stretched to four. I would definitely recommend the resort to others, but prepare them for the time-share sales portion if they are invited for that.

Excellent place to spend vacations with the family. Very close to Disney Parks. Staff is excellent with the guests. We stayed at a studio apartment and since its kitchen is fully equipped, we saved a lot by cooking. Also, they'll have great savings on tickets for the attractions

our stay was nice very thing was good rooms or very clean. My only issue we had was they had to turn off the water in our Villa which they didn't inform us until later on in the evening instead of calling us earlier in the day that way we could have come back moves rooms rooms in a timely manner but since we weren't informed until later in the evening we had to hurry up switch room because we had dinner reservations which we ended up missing our reservations and had to find elsewhere to eat would think for the inconvenience we would be offered some kind of discount or at least something for inconvenience but nothing was offered

Booked a room with a queen bed from the app while on the road. When we went to check in, we were upgraded to a king suite at no charge due to my membership; what a surprise! Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was really nice and very clean. Had a full size fridge and could even get cooking supplies from front desk if we wanted. Loved the towel swans on our bed...reminded me of being on a cruise. Bed was super comfy and the sunrise was amazingly beautiful! Breakfast is not included but there is a restaurant downstairs that serves delicious omelettes while looking out at the Atlantic Ocean. Would most definitely go back!

These people are terrible to deal with. For 5 years they kept telling me my account was in the arrears each time I tried to schedule my vacation. Finally through account statements I was able to prove I was not behind, took them to court and the judge ordered them to refund me the courts maximum back in a refund of $5,000.00. Their is still a credit of over $3,000.00 on my account which they refuse to refund back to me.

I knew I was not in the arrears and the fact that they lied to me and sold my weeks instead of letting me use them. Now I just want my credit balance refunded to me and I just want out of their time share units.

These people are con artists who take your money and then refuse to accommodate you with your vacations that you work so hard for each year.

One star is generous. There were dead bugs lining the carpet along the walls of the ENTIRE room. The carpet was disgusting and there were stains everywhere. A HUGE roach was climbing up the wall of our room the first night and I was terrified the rest of the vacation to sleep. We left early.

My family and I (9 people) stayed here for 5 days...

My family and I (9 people) stayed here for 5 days the week before Christmas 2017. Our villa was not updated. Several appliances were not in working order. The coffee pot was broken. The ice machine in the refrigerator was not working and the two front burners on the stove were not working. We called and had maintenance fix them but it was still an inconvenience each time we called. The fridge had brown liquid leaking from underneath. The dryer did not get hot to dry our clothes and we had to unplug the washer mid cycle because it had begun to overflow on the floor. We had to call several times to get sheets and pillow cases because none were in the unit for the pull out beds. The front desk staff was polite but the evening security guard at the gate nearest Publix was beyond rude to us on two occasions as we were coming back from Disney. My fiance and I attended the time share seminar which takes much longer than the 90 mins they claim. We were promised discounted theme park tickets for attending and that was a complete lie. We spent 4 hours listening to different people try to sell us and in the end we still had to buy the tickets online. But we wasted our whole morning. Needless to say we're beyond disappointed. The accommodations we had were not worth the $1100 we spent for 5 days. I sent them an email asking for a manager to contact me. It has now been a month and we have not heard from anyone. During the presentation they offered for us to come back again but it would cost us ANOTHER $1000. There is no way we would waste that type of money on Orange Lake. I would not recommend this resort for couples or those with teenagers. There are very few activities they will be interested in. If I were able to give less than 1 star I would. Our bed was also extremely uncomfortable. It squeaked and squeaked and was not secured properly. The heat distribution was also off because it was beyond cold in the bedroom nearest the front door which was the one we took as to not have the bedroom right across from the children. Don't waste your money.

Dear Orange Lake, I love your resort and your registration staff is great but your compassion for guests is bad. We are displaced hurricane victims. We have been without power for a week. So we used our points to come here. Unfortunately, there was no place with openings for our 2 small dogs. We asked 2 managers if they could make an exception but all I got was the rule read to me. Even Disney resorts are lifting the no pet rule for evacuees. Now my family is split with one with the pets sleeping on a couch with no hot water. We are preferred members and are very disappointed for your lack of compassion. Maybe it is time to dump this timeshare and go elsewhere. I hope none of your management is ever in this situation. It is very stressful.

Buyer beware! We made the mistake of purchasing a second time share and tried to recently sell back to them with no interest! Taxes and maintainance are over $1000us a year along with the monthly fees. Sometimes life happens and finances are stretched...it's awful as an owner for over 17 years I.m Treated like I'm about to rip them off and threatened that my privleges and bookings will be cancelled.
I have paid almost $200000 to this company and I'm treated with so much disrespect.
Yes the resorts are beautiful but respect means a lot more then this "investment"...buyer beware!

DON'T DO IT!!! We made a BIG mistake of purchasing a vacation ownership run by Holiday Inn. Don't buy this unless you have plenty of money to spare. We ran into a hardship when I got injured, and it took months to catch up on the mortgage payments. In the meantime, the maintenance fees and property taxes got out of hand because they charge $50/month and a finance charge of $15 every month for being late. This amounts to 66% of the actual fee as a penalty for being late. This affected our credit badly. On top of that, by being late, we had to forfeit our vacation and our carry forward points because you cannot use them if you are behind. If you don't convert the points by a certain date, you just lose them. So, instead of getting a nice vacation, we got bad credit, huge fees, and paid out a lot of money for nothing. By the time we paid for all of this, we could have instead paid for a very nice resort vacation with no credit problems or hassles. Think several times before you do this!!!

The resort was great. There were lots of activities including put-put, swimming, bingo by the pool, golf, and late night movies. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. However, the pillows were not very comfortable. Also, there were issues with the key cards. These were used to pay for purchases throughout the resort but they never worked properly.

We stayed as guests, which means you are treated like second class citizens. For this to be a Holiday Inn property, hospitality did not exist. The staff at the registration desk was rude, incompetent, and not courteous. So as their guest, we had to wash our own towels and take the trash out. No way to spend a vacation. Very disappointed and will not recommend.

The resort is beautiful but the customer service was horrible. Don t let the virtual Check-in fool you because they do not care for social distancing once in the resort. The day I checked out I couldn t tell you how many time I got a knock on the door requesting us to leave and that started at 8:30 and kept going til about 10:30 a.m. when we had a late check out due to doing a tour. That s another issue at check in they want to shove the tour down your throat and then get upset and nasty when you do not want to purchase a timeshare. Overall I don t think I would spend $500 to stay here again due to there unprofessional employees!!!!!

The tour is extremely high pressure and uncomfortable using very manipulative and dishonest sales practices. The resort is nice, but skip the tour, or say no to the first two sales people they throw at you if you're interested in getting a timeshare.

Honestly, you can stay at Orange Lake for the entirety of your timeshare and never leave to do anything else in Orlando. There are a lot of different events and activities to do here. Just keep in mind that there is an extraordinary amount of people that vacation here so it is normally crowded during the summer months.

A little outdated, small inconveniences, lazy river is amazing, carpets in rooms are extremely dirty and the sofas are too. I understand those are hard to clean but leather and tile/wood floors are better for sanitary purposes

The stay was okay, rooms were clean, facilities were also clean, but owners of the timeshare do not get any perks. Everything is points or you have to pay for it. Perks only come when you have to listen to another sales pitch. This should not be so.

We had to kill many cockroaches in our unit. Absolutely disgusting! The neighboring units trash sat outside in the breezeway for two days. Also, the provided shuttle service is very unreliable.

This year, my parents spent several days off from September 20 to October 3, as a Premier Member in the Orange Lake condominium (Kissimmee Florida) at the Signature accommodation level (highest and most expensive site in this condominium) .
Being in the pool area, reserved for guests of this level and accessed only by electronic card, my mothers purse was stolen with her close belongings at a value of US $ 3000. They made the respective complaint with the security area and employees Staff of Orange Lake, receiving only formal apologies and insinuating carelessness on their part.
I consider that an accommodation of this level should have enough security for the guests and co-owners for their tranquility and comfort and even more, dealing with the private and exclusive areas for them.
What disappointment and discomfort, for the way they have responded to them and the lack of commitment that they could perceive from Orange Lake Staff employees.
I wonder to what extent it was a good decision of our part to invest in this holiday project and with such high annual maintenance costs, where security does not prevail and the accompaniment and response that they gave us was relatively nil.

As somebody that's wheel chair-bound, I will say that this resort is accommodating. My room was requested to be handicap-accessible and it was. The beds were not too high and the bathroom sinks and kitchen sinks and cabinets reachable. The room was fairly clean and so are the kitchen utensils. I stayed at the North village and overall the experience was pretty good. The reason for four stars and not five was because the cleanliness was a little bit lagging and so were the utensils. Also the shower stall was a little hard to start. Those minor points overall pale in comparison to the overall resort which is really well done. Being near Disney world was also a definite plus.

Rooms need to be updated ,it takes way,way too long to get drinks from the outside bar (stood in line for close to 45 min just for drinks,un exceptable!!) Way too long at all the restaurants...they are definitely under staffed for the large amount of guests .....I was a guest but I would never consider a time share there!
