This place is so beautiful, and I will be back to visit it's like home away from home every one was so nice and respect for words can't describe how I love this place. I tell you what... if I had known when I signed up for this that I'd have mere seconds to decide if I wanted to book something - and that if I didn't, if I walked away from the computer or got distracted for 5 minutes - that by the time I got back that in all likelihood that reservation would be gone - I'd never have signed up for this. What an epic waste of money not to mention the aggravation.

Its super cool here however there was a pretty noticable stain on the bed sheets when we first got here. We called and they fixed it right away, but still kinda gross. There is also quite a few things that are extra like tube rental for the lazy river and water slides. Maybw its worth it if tou have kids but seems a little weird ro me considering the rooms are so much as it is. The people here are so nice though. It is verry relaxing. Between the shuttles and the people at the resrurants, its verry clear thelat they want you to enjoy your stay here

This is one of the neatest places we've stayed. Our family loved the villa style rooms. I loved the fact that our room was separate from the kids' room. We loved everything about our villa!!

I was so impressed. The staff was helpful, kind, friendly and over all they were just amazing. Everything was clean and very well maintained. Our rooms blew me away, all the attention to detail was impressive. There was not a detail that was missed. Can wait to come back next year.

Love Orange Lake! So many great family memories made here. My grandfather bought a timeshare here back in the 80's when they were just starting out and it's amazing to see what it has come from. My parents brought me here when i was just a little kid and years later, I got engaged to my wife on the beach at the clubhouse. Here's to more fun and memories in the years to come.

On July 24th to July 31st, we went to orange lake resort. The resort was very good for a family! We were able to drive to disney animal kingdom and wet and wild in minutes. The pool is very fun and it was a very satisfying experience.

Had amazing pools. Staff was the best. So nice. They have a Starbucks and a Publix inside. The place you stay is so nice. The beds are better than the one at my house. Very clean. The one I am staying in has a washer and a dyer. Everything you need is here

If you are reading this review, please know that I more often take the time to write positive reviews, than negative. I realize that a lot of hardworking people take pride in keeping such a beautiful place in order for the guests, and furthermore I realize that my review might affect these people. Please know that this establishment is well maintained and a great please to visit. The Bad: The high pressure sales tactics used at the check in counter are over the top. The $100.00 cash offer to go on a tour makes sense, but having not 1, or 2, or 3, but four attempts, to high pressure sell a guest, after we tell you "no thank you- we already own a time share, and thought that this tour was informational, so that we would book our time share points with you in future, and not to buy a second time share, or vacation points plan", would be enough of a response. Being humiliated, pressured, marginalized and admonished by the "Closers" was outrageous. My wife got upset and walked out of the presentation only to realize that we had been golf carted across the golf course aprox 1/2 mile from our car. My wife walked back inside and asked for a ride back to our car, and they denied our request stating that we could walk, or take a bus. She dropped the f-bomb and said "what the f_ _ _?" I just sat here for 2 hours being sales pressured and you can't even give me a ride back to our car? The manager did not want to hear it. He got loud and threatened to call security on my wife, and in a dramatic move to get control, he shouted "somebody call security! She was not threatening anyone, and had every right to react to the behavior that she was receiving. If you visit this place, think twice before you book a tour, and be prepared for an extremely high pressure, multi-tier, sales presentation.
Absolutely humiliating experience. I'm sorry that we have a time share, and a monthly payment, and do not want the $48,000.00 option, nor the $11,000.00 option, nor the $91.00 bi-annual option. We are sorry that we wanted to get back to our last day in Florida after a two hour, high pressure sales presentation. Tell your appointment setters to tell the truth, and the truth is that you want to qualify and close sales.
And lastly, Always give the customer a ride! I would not have taken the time to write this review, had you been man and treated my wife like a lady. How despicable.

This is not my first time here,it's a beautiful resort but as far as information goes I asked about certain amenities and was told something different every time, that is frustrating, get on the same page people and I hate you have to pay for a inner tube to ride the lazy river, nine dollars a day, ridiculous.

A guest in our suite got eaten alive by bed bugs, the presence of which was confirmed by an inspector. The hotel dragged their feet in accommodating us and tried to pass it off like it wasn't a big deal. Then they moved us into a new room which smelled like cigarette smoke.

Been fortunate enough to do a lot of traveling in my day (50+ countries), and this was legitimately the worst hotel I've ever experienced.

Me and my girlfriend (late 20's) were visiting Disney for a relaxing getaway but unfortunately our experience was far from this. As soon as you check in you will immediately be ushered over to a set of desks where they will encourage you to sign up for one of their timeshare presentations. After travelling all day we just wanted to get into our room. The whole process was hectic and set the tone for the whole stay - we felt like we were always being sold something.

Within the first hour of getting into our room, we had three phone calls and two visits; one was to open the safe, one was from housekeeping to drop off some extra sheets and the last was a phone call from the time share staff offering higher compensation to convince us to still join the presentation.

There was also a cleaning cloth from housekeeping left in our room on the floor by our bed.

Next was the room cleaning policy - in their defense this may have been written somewhere but I wouldn't have expected this from any hotel; after two days our room hadn't been cleaned and we needed replacement towels - I called housekeeping and their policy was they don't clean the room unless the stay was greater than 10 days. We ended up having to take out our own trash etc.

Lastly this didn't affect the rating but more of an FYI - the breakfast is not in the main reception area where you will check in (you need to take a bus). Again no real problems but just be prepared this is the case.

The reason I didn't give it one star is because some of the staff there did have friendly personalities which was refreshing given everything else we experienced during our stay.

The resort is just OK, it's amenities are par for the course for a resort of this size. The suite-style room was comfortable and was just what a growing family needed to sleep in and come back to after a WDW visit.

Like many others, we were lured here with the promise of a reduced room rate and free park tickets in exchange for a timeshare presentation. While the presentation is slick and the salespeople persistent, the offer was not something we were willing or able to take on at the time. The sales office is a golf cart ride away from where you have to park your car, so you are trapped - a 'captive audience' in every sense of the words.

We were given the option for our son to stay in a playroom while we were given the presentation, but there were no other kids in the room, and we felt bad leaving him there all by himself. So he came with us.

Unfortunately, the 90 minute presentation took well over two hours, and then there was another hour to push the resort on us. We must have emphatically repeated 'NO!' at least a dozen times during the next part of the presentation where the salesman scribbled random numbers on a piece of paper and tossed 'offers' at us, each one different than the last. Around the three hour mark, our 4-year-old son began to fidget and get restless - all completely ignored by the salesman. It wasn't until he started crying that we insisted that we were not interested and that we needed to go.

45 minutes later, a second salesman AND his supervisor all 'talked' with us about "what a great deal" it was, and how we we'd "have to be crazy" not to take the deal. I was ready to call the cops on all three of them if they refused our exit one more time. We were there for almost 4 hours.

Their ENTIRE sales pitch is to wear you down to the point where you say 'YES' just to escape. It's unethical and should be investigated by the Florida A.G..

I will NEVER visit this resort again, nor ever consider the possibility of owning a timeshare here or anywhere else following this experience. I implore ANYONE looking to get a free ticket to WDW or a discounted room rate just pay full price and forget all about any offer like this!

We live only 1 hour away. But sometimes you need a staycation. This is our go to place to use a timeshare week and relax. Try and get a higher floor East village you can see the Disney Fireworks. And the East Village has a not crowded little gym and not crowded pool

BED BUGS!!! Do not stay here. There were so many issues with this place. The living room floor was soaked through the rug, causing a terrible mildew smell. They brought a fan to dry up the carpet. One of the drains in the shower did not work, so by the time you were done showering you were standing in about 6 in of water. But the biggest issue is our room had bed bugs. One of the guests in our room got about 20-25 bites on her face, neck, hands, and stomach. They had a dog come in and confirm bed bugs. When we tried to get compensation for the hassle, the management was an absolute joke, blaming us for not taking out personal items to clean. We are leaving tomorrow and they haven t cleaned our stuff (including my infant daughters personal pack and play). Absolutely disgusting. Do not stay here!

The resort itself is very nice i stayed in a 2br villa and it was very nice plenty of room my kids had a great time the staff was very nice bars was nice fair prices and the food was good too but all the activities they have there you have to pay extra for which i dident know before i booked it which the prices forthe extra activities was pretty expensive and ridiculous $9 a day to rent a tude per person to go down lazy river putt putt golf cost extra the big water slide cost extra the rock climbing cost extra but they will over you a huge discount for all the activities if you agree to go on a 90 min tour where they try to convince you to buy a timeshare BEWARE!! It will be atleast 2 1/2 to 3 hours long and they are very aggressive they do not take no for an answer i must of told them im.not interested like 12 times and they keep showing different "deals" when you say no they become very rude and they insulted me and my wife a couple of times i told them im not interested that i am in the process of trying to buy my first home that the home is more important for my family then a timeshare and he had the nerve to say well it cant be that importent if you just wasted 5 grand to come on vacation i should have saved that 5 grand towards my house then and then pulled out another paper trying to sell me another timeshare i would of DEFINITLY came back to this resort for vacation again but they are so aggressive and rude about there selling the timeshare scams that i will NOT return to this resort i will find somewhere else to spend my vacation with my family...OH AND 2 WATER SLIDES AND A LAZY RIVER DOES NOT MAKE IT A WATER PARK AS YOU ADVERTISED

Owners of a week at Orange Lake for years. Continuously impressed with all of the expansions, customer service and amenities. Stayed in a villa this week, spent a ton of time using the amenities, lived in the lazy river and played a few games of cash bingo. Always a good time!

1 day in and has been nothing but a sales pitch, broken promises and are ruining my expensive vacation. I can't wait to leave hear. The villa is nice but they trap you in a "90" minute time share pitch that has taken 4hrs. As soon as you finally say no you have to get a shuttle back to the vehicle they drove you away from, and they start treating you like dirt. Then they go on too fight you over free tubes they promised. Worst place I've ever stayed. The time share is 15.9 financing and $40,000.

My #1 destination for the kids. I own 4 weeks and count the days to go there. I have stayed in all the villages and own in three of them. I enjoy the atmosphere as well as the resort accommodations. I do not belong to the holiday inn vacation club and do believe that it is a rip off but owning here has been a wonderful experience. I would recommend purchasing a week and enjoying a week there. Disney is close but you are not locked into living at Disney. The target just outside the resort will provide you with everything you need.

Beware during check in process, your parking pass is held hostage until you talk to a sales rep who gets to get you into a "90" minute timeshare presentation. After that..Great place kids loved all of the pools.

Rooms are clean and spacious. Full kitchen area has everything you need to cook with. Staff is very friendly and there's a lot to do around the resort. I'm not a golfer but the golf course looks pretty.

Great place; however, the worker are very rude. At River island, you have to have arm bands to get a float for the lazy river. Well, people would just leave them in the river so I just grabbed one not knowing this. The workers just yelled at us and instead I wished they would have just told me where to get the armband. Just just yelled at us. Not to mention all the other people in the river with no wristbands and they chose to just yelled at us. I didn't pay this much money to come on vacation and get yelled at.

First time in Orlando, beautiful resort. One thing that stands out not only here at this resort but the stores and restaurants in the area, the service people are great, friendly. Making us feel welcome. Really enjoying our stay here.

Average accommodations in Orlando. Our villa was an excellent size and there were quite a few amenities and activities. We particularly enjoyed the lazy river float pool and the small climbing wall. Unfortunately, the rooms had a faint moldy smell and the plumbing had a couple issues.

More things to do than any resort I have ever stayed in. Convenient location near the parks. I have stayed in two and three bedroom units. All met or exceeded my expectations. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Decent amenities, but room had a number of issues. This included shower door that didn't shut, allowing water to spill out onto the bathroom floor; door onto outdoor patio that didn't close; and a toaster that is past its prime. The rooms themselves were decent, but sparse, particularly in terms of furnishings. Felt cheap. Entire business model is based on up-selling, a d this was evident in their hard sell and high-pressure tactics. Only visited one on-site restaurant for trivia. The food was mediocre at best, and drinks were watered-down and over-priced. I will say, the river island pool was quite nice, and the mini golf was fun. Given all the money I'm sure they're raking in, they could stand to spend more of it on the property, and less on the seedy sales pitches.

We visited for the third time with a large family party occupying three apartments. The resort is large with pools, shop, restaurants and children's entertainment available on site and linked by frequent shuttle buses. The location is convenient for all Orlando attractions, and if one fancies a night out without driving, Uber is readily available.
All apartments are similarly furnished and well equipped, though some are more pleasantly and conveniently situated than others. We booked a two week stay, and most of us needed to move between the two weeks, efficiently handled by resort staff who made fridge/freezer and luggage store available on the moving day.

Recently renovated building with luxury soft appointments. Manual old-style a/c control, sealed electric 2 burner cooktop, wrapped vinyl cabinetry, tile flooring. Full kitchen. Quiet. Overall, a place we would stay at again at a similar discounted pricepoint. Lots of golfing and community activities, but we don't golf and it was a cold January visit.
I found the bathroom disappointing. The bathroom fan/vent was loud. The shower head was low flow and I was very frustrated getting enough water to wash and rinse my long hair. There was adequate hot water. The bathtub was very shallow, so my bathwater was not deep enough. Also, the bottom of the tub was several inches higher than the tile floor, this caused me to slip getting out, there was no handrail, but fortunately it was just a stumble and not a fall.
We found the coffee table was incredibly heavy and difficult for 2 people to move so we could utilize the pull-out sofabed.
This is a timeshare condo location, yet we booked it through a third party hotel service. We did not have maid service at all for a three night stay, though the place was over-run with corporate staff. There were no instructions provided as to what to do with recyclable materials or rubbish, so that kinda stunk by day three.
