Omni Mount Washington Resort Reviews

Stayed here for a wedding last weekend and was very disappointed with the level of service. You would think that a hotel of this price range would go out of their way to make a wedding party go smoothly, but this was not the case. Every request we made was met with indifference and made us feel as if they were doing us a huge favor - even for something as simple as asking for water to be brought to the bride's room. Other times our requests were just ignored entirely, despite repeated phone calls to guest services. The dining options were pretty terrible as well. The bar staff were rude to hotel guests and the food was unexceptional and certainly not worth the price (which were high even for NYC standards!). The only positives are the scenery and hotel building itself, which are beautiful.

The resort, the view and the staff are lovely. However, the cost of this place is absurd. Nothing was included in the cost of our stay.

I stay here twice a year. It is our Get a way place.

There is just something special about this hotel and location. I've visited multiple times and each time is a fun experience.

Really disappointed .. too many kids - kids everywhere - in every pool and hot tub - in every lounge and room - you can eat them run because it is an old building that creaks.. small rooms - paper thin walls - not a palace service level I was hoping for ! Absolutely not worth the price - my yesterday hotel was 120 a night an was quiet and much more roomy! The best thing is the view and the surroundings.. that and only that is worth the price ;-) but it is magnificent I have to say!

Second day edit.. after finding the hours where kids are not in the pool or crowding the halls, I am starting to enjoy the place more.. so much history, and even if I am still disappointed in some stuff.. well the place grows on you, just don't expect palace service!

Third day edit...
Again, disappointed , the cleaning in my room was.. not done.. I had to call , and they came and did the bare minimum.. out bed and put towels on rack.. no floor cleaning, the plush toys were on the floor instead of on the bed..
This morning, breakfast smoothie was done with fermented fruits.. yesterday, the scrambled eggs were blue and smelly before they replaced the batch.. after 20 minutes..

Went back down to 2 stars... I'll go down to 1 if something else goes wrong tomorrow .. last day to show me the value of a 500 dollars room :-(

The hotel was built in 1902. It is known for holding the Bretton Woods conference in 1944, at which international financial issues related to the end of the Second World War were resolved. On the territory there is a golf club, there are also bicycles for walking in the forest. You can't get here during the ski season, it's better to book for several months ... The hotel has a kids club, several restaurants. The rooms are old, and the whole hotel requires innovation ...

We went for Apres ski drinks in the lobby. The service was great, even with how busy it was. There were lots of children and families so great to feel relaxed as a parent with your children present.

Gorgeous hotel and courteous staff. Room was well cleaned and spacious. Pool and spa were world class.

This was our first time at this hotel and we had a blast. The hotel itself is expansive with many porches to enjoy, multiple bonfires, shopping, and pools. They are very kid friendly and my son enjoyed the heated indoor pool each evening. The food was fantastic the staff very friendly and helpful. We also liked staying here because of the proximity and view of Mount Washington. The cog railroad is also right around the corner. Thanks!

Miss the ice sculpture this time of year. Food was tasteless steak too raw or I would have giving a 5. Servers were professional. Great place for the family get away from what I see. A lot of people with children running around wild (unmonitored) ... Very loud and obnoxious for someone vacationing but I wasn't so no complaints at this point on the subject.

We went to dinner at Stickney's and it was a delight. The room was very cozy and the bed was quite comfortable.

A taste of elegance. You don't need to be a hotel guest to be treated like royalty. Check the veranda for a great view and drinks plus appetizers.

During our stay in the middle of the night someone opened our hotel room door and woke us all up-very disruptive and disturbing!! Perhaps we did not close the door all the way and a drunk person went to the wrong room, however, that means the automatic door closure should be stronger and more secure. Other than that experience in the middle of the night, our stay was wonderful, the food was excellent and the skiing was awesome!

Took a quick tour of the hotel while looking for a venue for my wedding.

The property excels as a grand hotel in the traditional model, and the staff is superior. Food/ambience..4 stars. A memorable home base for outdoor adventures in all seasons.

Good hotel. Pretty expensive though. Food is just okay.

It a beautiful and historic resort. The setting is equally as lovely. Every staff member we encountered was helpful and attentive. There are a number of activities on property and some nearby. A good selection of restaurants is a plus as well. I deducted a star simply because the bed was terrible and in a resort of this quality, that should never be the case. Additionally, the TV reception was equally bad.

Great service and experience all around. Love the ambience, and the outdoor pool is exceptional anytime of the year. Will return.

Beautiful... you are 1 with nature here. It's an old school hotel with so much to offer. We stayed 2 nights, although it's very expensive, it's worth it. The location was great

Loved the whole experience. Our children celebrated their birthdays here and the staff was great. One of the best hotel staffs in the world. Such history at the hotel and a great staff to support that.

Overrated, expected more for the amount of money, paid top dollar for an outdated room

Spent 4 hours here on a hot summer day taking a guided tour and walking around the first floor, basement stores, wine cellar, billiard room, swimming pool, and restaurant. Then we walked on the back porch and down to the outdoor swimming pool, over the stream to the golf course, and back up on a trail to the parking lot. Very beautiful flowers and lawns, exquisite decorations and lighting, lots of comfortable sitting and reading chairs inside and on the porch, lovely green grass in back with a beautiful view of Mount Washington, which is another good place to visit if you have time. Staff are very helpful and pleasant, whether you are a hotel guest or a visitor.

Outstandingly beautiful setting. Not surprisingly, prices for food and lodging are high.

I'd give it 4.5 stars. The location and views are 5 star but they need to freshen the rooms and offer more quality, casual food choices and get better coffee. Staff was very helpful and accomodating.

3 flies in our room. One by the main chair, one in the bath tub and one near the trash can in bathroom.
A red medication pill under the main desk.
Rust on the soap dish, peeling paint on the cotton swab holder.
Tiny shampoo, conditioner and cream bottle barely enough for one person.
One drink voucher. Even though we are two adults.
Room door has a huge gap on the bottom. No privacy.
Stained towels and stained bed sheets.
Mattress is old and uncomfortable.
No USB ports except on the super tiny alarm clock.
Dirty mirror in closet with markings that are clearly old.
Hideous curtains.
No views of mount Washington even though we asked and were charged for Mountain View room.
Upside down towel holder in bathroom near tub.
Only two towels of each 3 sizes.
Bath tub is slippery.
Water pressure is nonexistent.
Booked a Mountain View room and got a room with the view of the parking lot.
Service in the restaurants were exquisite. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Ergun and Devin did an excellent job of making us feel welcomed and their skill level of service is above and beyond.
It was our anniversary and they left us a bottle of champagne and sweets in the room which was amazing and a beautiful touch. My wife and I enjoyed that immensely.
All in all, I m giving this place a one star, because I honestly expected more and got way less than I had anticipated. We are avid hikers and we ve stayed in many of the hotels in that area, and we wanted to treat ourselves to a night of luxury and pampering, but it backfired and we are very disappointed with our experience at the Omni mount Washington hotel and resort.

Views=beautiful
Customer service=below average. You never feel like their team is actually happy to be there. Not accommodating at all. Hilton, Westin, etc. give you a water upon arrival. Often will give you a water at the desk if you ask. Traveling with a pregnant wife makes those little things more important. At this hotel they just tell you sorry and go try one of the restaurants.
Food=average. Uninspired for a resort of this stature.
Bed=below average. Don t expect to get your best nights sleep.

Bottom line, if their management team changes a few things up I would not hesitate to come back but next time we come back to the area I ll be looking for a different place to stay.

Very nice historic hotel. Staff is very courteous, restaurants are the best. Scenery is awesome!!

Top notch resort that is beautiful on the inside and out. It's expensive but well worth it.

Wonderful experience. The staff was very nice and helpful. Love the old timey look and feel. The manned historic elevator was a neat experience. The bartender was great in the princess room. Our server Angel in the main dining room was very pleasant. The food was absolutely exquisite and the presentation was superb.

I only had 2 issues. One being that the pillows were terrible and the second issue being that the room was a little warm.

Overall we loved our stay and can't wait to come back.

The Omni amount Washington is good for convenience. You never have to move your car once you park because the shuttle will take you most places that you would want to go that are associated with the hotel. However, For cleanliness and upkeep I would not return. There was a layer of dust in the bathroom and the banisters were loose.

Very historic mountain resort hotel. Beautiful in Winter and in Summer. If one has to travel all the way up there, it will be nice to get some free Guest Wi-Fi.

The resort is located in the most picturesque surroundings, right near the foothills of Mount Washington. I had a great time at the event I was attending. The staff is really helpful and pleasant to talk to.

Great amenities. Although rooms appear on the historic side, they were super clean. Food was sub par for a 4 star hotel.

We bought a weekend for my in-laws that was supposed to be for their 30th anniversary. Understanding that the pandemic has caused some pain here, we tried reschedule for another weekend that would have mirrored the same days of the week. The hotel was going to upcharge for this a significant amount to even move the weekend by a couple of days. The hotel had bare essentials open when they stayed yet OMNI still charged top dollar for the room. In addition to all of this, the hotel did not tell us that they needed a credit card authorization form signed to pay for the remainder of my in-laws stay and instead charged them and not my card (after I explicitly called several times to confirm it was a gift for their anniversary). I've boasted about the Washington Hotel for a long time but now after this I can honestly say it will be a while until I even think about going back. OMNI is not a good hotel management company and has brought down that hotel in a very significant way.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Omni Mt. Washington. We attended my nephew's wedding here and was such a beautiful setting. It was held outside. Just beautiful. Whole staff were so friendly and so accomodating.

A wonderful classic hotel, but huge crowds during holiday vacation week. The main dining room was noisy, but we had great food and a cozy dinner at the Bretton Arms next door.

We love Mt Washington and Omni Hotel.
Highly recommend!!!

My husband and I attended the 10th annual
North Country awards dinner. Celebrating outstanding Public Safety Officers at your resort. We were very impressed with the food we were served. We were at table 23 and our wait person was awesome. He made sure we had everything we needed and more. He was very professional.efficient, and curteous. Our food was presented so we all ate at the same time. The food was presented hot and professional. I truly felt he cared about us, we felt very special . We have been on many cruise ships and he was one of the best servers we have had the pleasure to have.

Opulent. Wish I could afford the $428/ night for a standard no mountain view room( during leaf peeping season)

The best vacation we have been on in a long time. Our experience at the Mt. Washington Hotel from housekeeping to managment could not have been better. The entire staff made our stay as pleasurable as it could be and accommodated all our needs.

This hotel is beyond fantastic. Such a great experience here. I recommend this to anyone who loves skiing / snowboarding or just a nice night away.

It is such a treat to stay at the Mt. Washington Resort... so much history, so much class!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great activities for my four-year old and parents. From the express check-in (room key available without waiting in line!), the coffee and muffin delivery every morning, and the fantastic property/amenities - we had a great experience. Will definitely be back.

We called and spoke with Alyssa (sp?) about sending my brother in law a bottle of champagne as he had gotten engaged that day at what we thought was their property. She was amazingly helpful, followed up that he was not listed anywhere and gave us her personal cell as she had to step out as we figured out the details. Of course he was at another hotel, we followed up to let her know that we appreciated her time and she let us know she had called the other hotel and found his information and that he was all set. Above and beyond. We stayed here for our first anniversary and after this experience will not stay anywhere else when we are in the area! Thanks Alyssa!

Came for a conference. Great hotel with friendly staff and great food all in an amazing setting.

An historic building set in a tremendously scenic area. Full of amenities, fabulous places to sit and chillax, great food and pleasant staff. Some areas look a bit tired and can use some updates. Overall, a fun experience.
