LOVED this for a concert at the Spectrum Center which we could see from our room 1 block away. Felt very safe bc room keycards needed to access your room floor on the elevator. Good valet system and front desk checkin guy was extremely helpful and even walked us to the elevator. Bellman delivered our room luggage. Bar and restaurants inside with a walkway to many others across the street. Outdoor pool deck was amazing! Room and bathroom were very spacious and overlooked the City lights. High quality bedsheets and duvet coverlets that are washed between guests. The proximity and convenience to the concert was definitely worth the price! Only 1 hotel was closer and it was 3 times the price. Rooms recently decorated chicque with gold accents.

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights over the Christmas holiday. The room was very quiet even though it was right next to the elevator. We had plenty of space, a comfortable bed and even a small sofa and chair. I requested a mini refrigerator and it was in the room when I arrived. The valet parking was $24...

Omni takes care of their returning guests. I've stayed here many times and if there is an upgrade available they always extend it to me. I'm a big fan of their signature lounge with hot appetizers in the evening, complimentary sodas and snacks and Continental style breakfast options in the morning all at no charge for returning members.

I love what Omni has done with it's remodel. I used to stay here before and always thought it was super convenient because of the Walgreens downstairs. Especially travelling with a small child. If I forget something or running low, it's right downstairs. Even tho it does get a bit noisy here due to the epic center being right next door I still had a enjoyable experience. The new remodelling is definitely reflected in the new booking rates!!! It's probably competing with Ritz Carlton as far as price point. The one thing I wished they had improved on is having a fan in the bathroom. The shower gets steamy very quickly which before I could hardly breathe if I showered with door closed. So I wished they would have improved that. Plus who wants to not have a bathroom FAN for other reasons? But will probably will return soon, just not as often because of new prices. We used to always book the parlor suite but due to prices we just booked 2 rooms...a king and double.

Worst hotel experience I have ever had. We waited for well over three hours waiting for our room. The hotel staff were no help and instead of offering an upgrade, tried to downgrade us into a tiny room with only one small bed. We finally ended up leaving - we will see if we ever see our promised refund, but still had to pay for the valet parking for the time we were there. Ridiculous! I travel all the time for work and have never had an experience even close to this bad. Do not ever stay here.

Let me be clear. I gave 5 stars because of the professionalism of Kelly. The hotel is 3 stars. The room and bathroom in the double queen were small especially for price in my opinion. But everyone was very courteous and professional. Had to leave because the pool was under renovation but Kelly took care of my family.

The room was ok, was a little outdated, but, the deck with the pool is so amazing into the evening and night. The bar is cool and the food in the restaurant was tasty, but, a little expensive. There is a mall downstairs.

The good: The hotel was relatively easy to find and upon arrival, we were greeted promptly by the valet staff. All of the staff were friendly and check in/out was a breeze. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. I liked that the elevators required key card recognition to reach the room-level floors.

The bad: The valet parking was the only available parking nearby and it was $24 a night on top of the room rate which I found outrageous. Most of the hotel was under construction so the entryway to the hotel from the parking garage was not very appealing and the view from our room was simply construction as well. I chose this hotel for a special occasion for my significant other and I and I was truly disappointed. I have stayed in very upscale hotels and resorts around the world and for the price I paid, I was expecting something similar but I felt that the room we were provided was on the level of a Courtyard Marriott or Holiday Inn. I wish I had saved my money and stayed in a cheaper hotel where I would've received the same level of service, free parking and an equally decorated/comfortable room.

I highly doubt I will be staying with the Omni again.

It s a luxuary brand, but having stayed there. I was overall not impressed by the food or the rooms. For the price point perhaps the Kimpton or Ritz are your bag.

What I will say is that their Club Lounge was a welcome breath of fresh air and the only highlight of my trip.

I rarely write a review, but this hotel's so-called elite status needs to be addressed. I was in town for a concert and 1 night only, so a big plus was the location. The only good thing about the hotel itself were the blackout curtains and their pool area (not the pool itself, which was turbid to say the least) with an overpriced bar and huge screens to watch sports, hence the 2nd star. We supposedly got a King-bed room: the bed was a Queen, and I'm not sure a King would have even fit in the room. I'd venture to say the sheets (frayed and shabby), pillows (that feel like packs of hay inside a pillow-cover) and mattress (which embraces you as a hard-shell taco) have not been updated in 5+ years. As far as amenities, they might as well advertise it as a 3-star or less hotel. For the price you pay to stay in one of their rooms ($200+/night), I'd expect at least updated beds and pillows and a bathroom bigger than a closet. Doesn't feel clean, nor fresh, smells like mildew and has very thin walls. Toilet had maintenance issues, ran all night, nobody ever came to fix it and I couldn't fix it either (am an engineer), noise was terrible at night (although they offer a white noise machine and earplugs which ameliorated the situation), front desk staff seems miserable/overworked (Valet, cleaning and bellhops on the other hand were very helpful and friendly), transient tweakers surround the hotel on the street at all hours (although they have interesting stories as to why they need spare change).

Again, great location. Stay again? We'll pass.

It's the least expensive of the the "good" downtown hotels for a reason. Some staff are friendly, some are not. Rooms need an update. The bed was sagging and worn out, but it wasn't terrible.

It's not a bad hotel overall though. The location is right near lots of eats and entertainment. There are plenty of options with a two block radius, even on weekends, because Charlotte's downtown is more than just a business district.

Good on the cheap, but next time I'll cough up a little more and stay somewhere else.

Biggest complaint is the rooftop bar located at the Epicentre across the street blasts live music until around 2am on Thurs., Fri., & Sat. nights. That made getting to sleep on those nights a little challenging. Coworkers staying on the opposite side of the hotel did not experience the same issue.

I don't have allergies so it wasn't an issue for me, but the room seemed a little dusty. Views were nice and I didn't have any other issues.

Great staff, location, and rooms are very clean and great amenities as well. Only frustration I had is the arrival. It took 10 mins to get to the hotel due to the road that leads to the hotel being partially closed and their downtown has tons of one ways. I literally drove in a circle figuring out how to enter the hotel.

Update: 11/21/19.. visited again and everything was much better. No roadwork :-). I absolutely love the hotel. It's my choice when I'm in Charlotte

We will never stay at this hotel again. The room we were given on the 7th floor smelled like smoke and was not too clean. We stayed for 2 nights and never had our room cleaned the 2nd day. It was getting late in the afternoon and asked a staff member if we could at least get clean towels and that never happened. When we returned to our room, the Do Not Disturb sign was hanging on our door which we did not put there. After checking out and reviewing our receipt, there was a charge for the Trade Bar on the first night we checked in, which we NEVER even ordered anything at all from, merely walked through the bar to get to other parts of the hotel building. I called and was directed to speak to Hector at the Trade Bar and his excuse was it was probably an open tab that the guests before us had and was never closed out and therefore was charged to the next guests in that room...lucky us. He stated that they get so busy they cannot close all the tabs out in real time. Really??? Omni...I have never had this happen at a Hilton property or any other hotel brand for that matter. He promised it would be taken off my bill and someone would contact me the next day. That of course never happened. The charge was never taken off my bill. I just got off the phone with someone at Omni, explained the whole thing again, that we NEVER even went to the Trade Bar during our stay. Her response was, so you never had a burger, drinks or anything? NO WE DID NOT!!! Supposedly we will be reimbursed in the next 7-10 business days, we hope! I also told the staff member that I spoke to that our room was not too great and smelled like smoke really bad. She ignored that comment totally but did say well you are all taken care of, have a wonderful day. It was just a bad experience at Omni Charlotte, very very extremely disappointing. Just be sure to check over your receipt well if you stay here and maybe request any floor but the 7th floor which maybe used to be a smoking floor, it still smells like it is anyway. I will never ever stay at an Omni property again. Very expensive & not worth it!!!

Downtown pricing, but downtown swag too! Nothing over the top, but luxe rooms, nice bar, excellent service, and close to everything downtown. Great looking third floor pool too with giant screen and nice environment. Overall a good experience and decent value.

We stranded here to due flight cancelation and I decided to book the Omni downtown. Very good choice. Clean and very well maintained, very friendly staff, room was very good, bed comfy and Keurig coffeemaker. Big TV, bathroom really tasteful interior. Good location, many restaurants within walking distance. Also, distance to CLT Airport 15 min. by taxi approx $ 30.

I always try to stay at the Omni when I'm in Charlotte for work. They take fanatastic care of my requests and have personally assisted me with leaving items after checkout. The renovations make the hotel feel much newer and upscale. Can't wait to come back.

Cute but expected more. Bathroom right off the entryway with no fan. Room is super tiny. Good luck if your stomach is upset lol. Weird entrance. Great views of Charlotte. Nice pool and tv. Didn't go down though. Excellent valet. All in all, it was meh. Fortunately I had good company.

I wish there was a negative star option. We flew in for my 44th birthday and to surprise our daughter and grandson. I was beyond disappointed for almost $800 in weekend lodging. The room had a horrible smell of smoke or stuffiness when we first walked in. It was small and awkward. The bathroom was horrible lukewarm shower, no tub, very small and 2 people would never be in this bathroom for any reason at the same time. poor lighting for doing hair and makeup and no place to hang towels after you shower or wash your face. There was a half roll of toilet paper and no additional so we had to call down day 1. Let's talk noise!!! Lord Never ever stay here if you want peace and quiet..Children would not be able to sleep here because we were not able to. For 3 days there was extremely loud noise outside as early as 730am sounded like a party over loud speaker. There was a man talking and screaming allllllllll Saturday and we could not figure out if there was a motivational event near by because it definitely was external but excessive. Emergency vehicles and every other external noise was heard. Inside was no better. The guest next to us snored so loud we felt like we were in the same room with him. How is it we here everything the guest are doing? Everytime the toilet in the next room flushed we heard it!!!! This was our 1st Omni experience and out last. The worst decision ever. We could have spent half the money for a better quality stay. Instead of leaving and returning to St.Louis rested we are exhausted from lack of sleep. I hate we spent 1k (room, parking &meal) at this place for a weekend

This is the best experience I have had at a hotel hands down, the room was great, the staff was very professional and a joy to be around, we got breakfast in the morning and Marisha took care of our table and was super nice. I left my expensive prescription sunglasses there and they are sending them to me FedEx 3 day for free. So convenient and a sharp looking building. I can't say enough good things about experience there. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Charlotte!

The rooms aren't better than cheap hotels. No free WiFi ("deluxe" gave you 3MB a day and "premium" gave you 6). $24 mandatory valet parking. Minifridge was locked so we couldn't store our own stuff in it. The faucet in the bathroom wasn't even attached straight and the makeup mirror was loose and hung out in front of your face. The only good thing was the location.

Add $24 extra a night for parking, which used to be cheaper. It's mandatory valet parking, so you can't go to your parked car and get something when you want. It's a hassle to wait for somebody else to get your car just for a quick item. Pool was under construction.

I absolutely loved my room on this trip! I know this branch has been refurbishing and i think i got one of the new rooms. I was very happy with it. The pool area is finally finished with a nice bar, but it was too cold outside on this trip.

They give you 2 free drinks for breakfast every morning. I got coffee and coffee (there is also a coffee machine), but you can also get water or tea or juice. I thought this was a really nice touch to my stay.

Ive stayed a few times at this Omni as it is connected to the building as where i work by an indoor passage. It is close to a great plaza across the street with restaurants and a cvs. Walgreens is actually in the same building down the escalator.

We stayed at this hotel on the first part of our anniversary celebration and the Taste of Charlotte food festival.

The Omni is located at the corner of Trade St. and Tryon St., the city center of Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a prime location with access to the EpiCenter, a multi-level area filled with restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

Upon arrival, we took advantage of the valet service which was very quick and efficient. The front desk staff was very professional and let us check in early. In the lobby of the hotel, there is a Starbucks, Walgreens and Chick Fil A, which is very convenient.

Our room looked very nice. It was a spacious king bed layout with an amazing view of the Charlotte skyline. The mini fridge is stocked with sodas, snacks, beer and wine, however everything in there is highly expensive (Walgreens in the lobby has beer and wine for cheaper). The Wifi is complimentary if you sign up for their free rewards program. At night, since we were by the EpiCenter, it was very loud well into the early morning.

Overall, it was a decent stay. For the price of the room, I was a little underwhelmed with the amenities in the room. I was very happy with the location and convenience of everything. I would recommend the Omni to truly grasp the downtown Charlotte experience!

It's OK, older, decent rooms, very small bathrooms. I am 5ft 8in, tall 155lbs and had to be a contortionist to close the bathroom door. Service was decent. Good coffee in lobby for morning. But a bit over priced if you do not get special rates. It is convenient to walk to food, and convention center. Convention center is 10min walk
