Omni Charlotte Hotel Review

Loved it.. It was so beautiful inside I loved the theme and scenery.

It's a really nice hotel, food a little more on the pricey side.

Our room had a great view of the bay. Had the market across the market. Pretty awesome. What ruined it was the stupidity of the front desk. We filled out their "authorization form" prior to our visit. Faxed it in. Confirmed that they received it. Despite it being on file, they still requested a different card to be put on file since we had someone else check in earlier for us. They put a hold (aka "authorization") on BOTH cards! Each of $900!! Finally took us about an hour to get that straightened out. So we thought..

Fancy treatment for a good price. Nice room. Good service. Valet service only, so expect an extra 25 dollar charge.

This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. If you are a business traveler and appreciate quiet in the evening do not stay here. The hotel is situated across the street from a loud concert venue that plays well into the late hours. On the nights the concert isn't playing they blast their own music from the pool deck. The music echoes off the sides of the building and no room is immune. Their clientele is not for the business traveler. All of the beautiful renovations are wasted on the constant nights of loud banging music. They are not friendly towards guests who don't appreciate the music and they likely won't give you one of the few rooms that face a quiet street. The wifi is also terrible on the higher floors. Sleep kits are stated to be provided which they do not and do not even provide upon request. This has been the worst week of my life. 12 am and the music is still pounding. Spare yourself a good nights rest and stay at the Westin, Marriott or Hilton.

Nice location. Very close to amenities. Not the best layout in the lobby and lower levels. It's almost a maze trying to find your way around due to an escalator being out of order and construction on part of the outside.

Just visited for a meeting. Lobby and bar was very nice and friendly. Parked in the deck with no problem and the elevator too me directly to the lobby. Lots of shops in the lower section for food and drink. Great location in the center of the city

Perfect. Clean. Quiet. Relaxed atmosphere. Huge TV for watching March Madness on mute. There are couches and beach chairs and tables. There s a bar with a limited selection of beer, wine, and liquor. You can also order a limited selection of food from the bar, too.

Coin Bar is great for a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

A very nice and accommodating hotel with friendly staff. Do note this is very close to many Charlotte nightlife activities which you may hear depending on your room placement. They also may have pool parties on the weekends and it gets PACKED.

The Omni Charlotte is a great hotel with a nice location in the city center. A great place to stay for Spectrum Events.

While there is quite a bit of construction going on around, the police seem to keep the traffic flowing gracefully even on a Saturday night. The staff was more than accommodating even though we arrived at the hotel almost six hours after the check in time. The room smelled fresh and was very inviting. My son was tickled because my name appeared on the television. The mattresses were the perfect blend of softness and luxury. Our pillows felt as if they were made of clouds. The breakfast buffet was good, but very spare for the amount of money you pay. Our table was dirty, and our waiter Brion wasn't very attentive to our needs and wants. We received our check before I ordered a cup of coffee and we had just returned from the buffet. Everyone from the valets to the front desk hosts have been warm, friendly, and professional. I will be returning soon.

I was surprised thry did not offer complimentary anyrhing other than coffee or ice.

The amenities were nice and clean. The few people we interacted with were professional and pleasant.

Great location and friendly staff. Nice connection to the Epicenter. The construction does take away from a good night sleep.

Walls are thin I the hotel and it is under renovation so we didn't have access to the pool. Also, there were a lot of hidden charges like incidentals and you can not park your own car so you're forced to valet park which is an extra 24$ a day. I don't think I will be staying here again

The rooms are just normal hotel rooms. The location is great.

What makes this hotel 4 stars is the Walgreens located within. When I exited the elevator, I was meant with garbage on the floor that wasn't swept. My room was clean and spacious, however bathrooms are very small and have a very awkward configuration. In addition, there are no additional mirrors for an additional party to use if the bathroom is occupied.

The staff was wonderful. They deserve 5 stars. Everyone was super friendly and really seemed to enjoy their jobs. The food at the inside bar was a surprise because it was SO good. The room looked nice on the surface, but there was a weird odor after being in the room fo a bit. The toilet seat was broken. But the worst part was the noise. We were on the 10th floor and I got very little sleep. There was music playing outside until late night. But the sound carried so much that there was a person having an argument by the pool and it woke me up 10 floors up. I mean I could make out the conversation. Not to mention you could hear everyone coming into their rooms. It was awful.

Took care of my issue and the management does care about the hotel. The valet staff needs to let people know about there delays and management is working on resolving those issues. Overall a nice hotel and in a great location. Pricing is reasonable for the location as well.

Under construction but no biggie. Valet is $24 or $50 if you park yourself over night. Don't touch the beverages in your room refrigerator $$$$ ! Room nice & price reasonable for downtown @ the epicenter

The Omni Charlotte Hotel literally sweat me off my feet. My heart melts just thinking about it. Each and every day I'd hope for a brighter and more fulfilling day at the Omni Charlotte Hotel the staff went above and beyond their duty to provide me the excellent and compassionate care that I deserve.

The room was great. Wall to wall windows allowing a lot of natural light. All staff encountered were helpful and kind. Parking was a bit of a hassle due to construction.

Beware: High-decibel night club action across the steer at Epicenter, until 2 a.m. Room is not as well-appointed as comparable one in Marriott and the carpeted floor gives the space a funky smell.

We had the executive king suite and the rooms were large, comfortable, and quiet. It felt like our own little oasis in the city. The staff is amazing and the hotel is located in a prime spot, close to everything. It was about a 10 minute walk to Bank of America Stadium.

Most of the stores in the complex close oddly early.

The Omni is a dream. I always love the service and hospitality. The staff is impeccable and the amenities are countless. There's so much excitement and furnishings of all kinds.

Stayed here for a work conference and the experience was top notch. Very clean, staff was friendly and helpful and WiFi was free.

The staff was not very helpful. Pictures of the room were extremely deceiving. The view was great and the pool was nice. We were disappointed that the kids weren t allowed at the pool after 5. We won t be staying here again. Just to add to the disappointment....we find out when we are checking out (after inquiring because of curiosity) that we were not put in the upgraded room that we had already paid for. I hate feeling like I ve been taken advantage of....they did an awesome job of that! Such a terrible experience.

Friendly, courteous, down to earth helpful staff. Room was clean.

It was okay. It needs some work. The staff was great and the food was excellent. I wasn't impressed with the room. It looks old and outdated. The walls were thin, we could hear our neighbors alarm clock going off. The furniture was beat up. The bathroom door didn't close all the way. The shower didn't drain quick enough so you were standing in water. The hot faucet leaked onto the counter. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible. Need I say more?

Great Hotel. Loved the LOCATION. Valet service was very nice and quick. Room was very nice. It was our anniversary weekend and we were complemented with chocolate strawberries and bottle of wine. Not our choice of wine but it was nice. Wife took a shower and notice drain wasn t working properly and black stuff was coming out of it. I had to wait 30 mins for it to drain and take my shower and same results. Hotel staff fixed it next morning before we could even report it during room cleanup. We were gone for breakfast and little site seeing. Still give it a 5 Star. Will stay again.

Important issues on some amenities. No food currently due to Covid. Not recommended.

The restaurant has the worst food of any hotel we've accommodated. The front desk has great customer service and the room was clean but fair. I gave the one for the food; however, I'd give a 4 for customer service skills to staffing.

Great corner room. Just be aware that the music plays till 2am. So if you want quiet. Ask for other side of hotel

Reservations were easy and accurate. The room was newly remodeled and adequate. Staff was friendly and helpful. The problems with my stay came due to billing. In short they had no grasp of their billing processes, over charged my personal account +$400.00 and took 4 days to rectify their mistakes. Only one out of the three people I dealt with over the issues apologized for my inconvenience and concerns. Really disappointing how things were handled top to bottom. My annual visit next year will likely be elsewhere.

Having trouble with elevators, AC AND super loud construction...this was inconvenient. Service from room staff, 5 stars, tho.

Here for the MUN conference. Very busy, was hot in the meeting rooms the first night. No free coffee in the lobby. ESCALATOR DOESN'T WORK.

Otherwise, it's a hotel. Staff is friendly. Free fruit infused drinks near the front desk.

In the middle of this pandemic, my family and I needed some much needed R&R and the Omni Charlotte Hotel met our needs

While doing an upgrade, the staff were still extremely helpful and friendly

Right next door to a band that plays till 2 am! Never stay here! These are the emails and a picture of the plaque that is in the room along with a view of the outdoor band venue right next door and the pressure washing that starts at 7:30 am on a Sunday morning. Also, watch out for tons of homeless folks all around the Bank Of America plaza where the Omni is.

The accommodations were lovely but the noise at night and the group of men on the street outside took away from the experience.

We attended the omni for breakfast and it is by far one of my favorite locations for Sunday brunch in uptown. The effort that they put in making your meal immaculate by far exceeds the other uptown brunch options.

My in-laws stayed here and they enjoyed their stay. It was just loud for them because of the huge St. Paddy's day bar crawl in the area.

Incredibly nice and modern just wish the wifi prices reflected a better rate per day. $10 for 3 Mbps which is dialup or $15 for 16 Mbps which is still slower than cell phone data

We spent our wedding anniversary here (one night). The room was clean, staff was nice, everything was great until we were charged an additional $130 hours after check out for the mini bar in the room which we did not touch. When confronted about the charge via the phone guest service immediately offered a refund and no explanation of why we were charged for the untouched items in the first place. Now we have to wait 5 days for a refund. Be careful and check your bank account after staying here! If this problem would have not occurred I would have given this hotel an higher rating.

Our experience here was excellent. After a mixup with valet parking, the staff made up for it with attentive and prompt service. The room service is excellent, and the rooms well appointed for the price. The bellman even delivered something under the door to avoid waking our sleeping babies. Our family enjoyed the visit and would gladly stay again.

I was happy with the overall location of the hotel and rooms. Thing that bothered me a lot was when I made the reservation they told me the pool would be open. This why we made reservations there. When we got there we were told the pool is being renovated. We came from the cold weather and wanted to relax in the sun.

Omni prices with budget hotel quality and service. I m normally a fan of Omni - having had great stats at other locations including the Parker House in Boston and the Royal Orleans in New Orleans, but not this location. We ve had two terrible stays here (I know, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...) and it s certainly changed my opinion of Omni overall.

Under construction at the time of our visit, but will be beautiful when it's completely finished.

Everything was great, the room was nice, the food was tasty, and the service was fantastic.

I was a part of a wedding reception held here and the wait staff couldn't have been more helpful with setting the whole thing up and giving us what we needed. Amazing place.

Conveniently located in Uptown Charlotte. High quality lodging for reasonable rates.

Due to construction and a game in town it was difficult to get to the parking area. The staff were nice and very helpful. Turns out I was within walking distance to several attractions and places to eat. I was also able to walk to the theater that was the venue for the event I planned to attend.

Worst value for money in a hotel in a long time. It looks like it was last refurbished in 1975. There is literally electric wire taped to the ground in the corridor. To speak with the front desk I had to call with my mobile to the hotel's external line because nobody is ever answering when calling from the room's phone. The alarm went off randomly at night in the whole floor. Horrible horrible experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Omni Charlotte. Their location is great. For example, it is in short walking distance to entertainment, good restaurants and museums. Their staff are phenomenal; especially the staff for restaurant, bell stand, 14th floor lounge, Premium Club and late night dining. They were very responsive, welcoming and friendly. Interacting with them felt like talking with old friends. The renovated rooms are very nice. To earn a rating of 5 stars from me, Omni needs to complete renovations on all rooms. Some family members were in rooms for which renovations were not complete. Next, Omni needs to have their housekeeping staff clean more thoroughly. Reduced staffing due to the July 4th holiday may have been factor. Beds were made and garbage cans emptied, but I need for rooms to smell like they have been cleaned and have no visible debris. Lastly, we thoroughly enjoyed the pool, but that bar needs real drinks, not just those from cans.

Great location uptown in Charlotte! Easy to walk to!

This was my first time staying in Charlotte. I was traveling for work and anytime I travel I will be staying at this hotel. It was beautiful, the staff was so friendly and welcoming, they made the stay great.

Better hope you get a room on the top floor. If not you will hear the bass from the clubs until 2am. Called down to front desk and the supposedly moved us to their quietest room. Twice as loud as the last one.

Good hotel with easy access to so many businesses in the Charlotte city center. Clean room, comfy bed, and cozy robes.

We were very unimpressed with the demeanor and unresponsiveness of the staff. We had to call the front desk twice for the fridge we requested at check in. We got a wake up call and door knock that we didn't request. Thanks for that. Oh yeah, and pool was closed. Not that a closed pool is that big of a deal to most people, but we selected a hotel with a pool specifically because our preschooler would insist on going swimming. She complained the whole time we were there. Don't recommend.

Always clean, high end, tied in to center City and local businesses via hallways and skyways. Great hotel who always treats you like royalty.

Most of the rooms face the outdoor bars and nightclubs across the street. The music is often played to 2:00AM. Its a known problem for years per the bellhops but the desk clerks...act surprise... IF you enjoy quite...DON'T stay here. The management or corporate office will not help. I would NOT recommend this Hotel, if you enjoy sleeping.
