This place is so great! You can check in online before you come and they let you in with your dog. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and I even talked to a vet prior to coming in for some advice. I have had terrible experiences with emergency vets and this place will forever be my go to now

A life saver!!!

A life saver!!!

I should ve came here earlier in the morning instead of wasting 3 hours plus waiting at Maxfund Wellness Center only to be skipped over and not be seen!

I was stressed out and worried about my dog and had called another vet clinic that told me about Vet Emergency Group!

After our experience here, I will definitely be bringing my pets here for emergency care from now on! Oh, you can also talk to a vet on the phone! That is a huge plus in my book!!!

Thank you guys so much!!

So grateful for this special team!! They saved my doggos life because of their care. Brought my pup in on an emergency night and dr. Haake immediately cared and assessed him. She performed emergency surgery on him willingly and confidently. Not only did she care greatly for him but also showed great compassion for the situation as well. The team was so caring and accommodating to him and throughout shift changes all doctors and techs treated him like their own will def continue care with them. Love #VEG

We had one of the best vet visits with VEG Denver. Our dog is very anxious and vet visits typically require a lot of sedation and other preparation. However, in an emergency situation we were not able to prep our pup. VEG's staff was so patient and careful in their approach to our dog that she allowed them to properly examine her and administer a treatment without causing excessive stress to our dog. Dr. Nelson was very clear about her diagnosis and prescribed only what she thought would be helpful at the moment. The staff's level of attention and care brought Mia back to her old playful self just a few hours after the visit :)

While we hope we don't have to return too often, when we do, we will always choose VEG!

VEG was amazing with our dog, Murphy, last night when he got into some chocolate. They took great care of him so quickly and provided us with text updates throughout the night, including a picture to reassure us that he was okay.

I simply cannot say enough nice things about the staff and quality of care at Veterinary Emergency Group. I brought my dog, Ginger, in for an emergency visit and found out that she had a life-threatening infection that needed immediate treatment for her to survive. She was admitted to the hospital for two nights and when we picked her up this morning, aside from being really tired, she looked like a completely new dog. She's eating and drinking again, and her bowel movements are no longer bloody and loose. My girl is a rescue from a junkyard who came into our lives when she was two, and she's terrified of people. The staff at VEG must have some special kind of magic, because she allowed them to get close to her, pet her, and care for her, something almost unheard of in the last 4 years since we adopted her. They were completely transparent in their billing and estimates, explaining every item and why they thought those things were necessary. While emergency care is expensive, I never felt that they were overcharging me or taking advantage of the severity of her illness to get more money out of us. No price gouging, no garbage charges or unneeded tests. If you need emergency care that you can trust, VEG is the best place to be. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you did for our Ginger. We are so grateful.

Our older cat Cleo had a medical emergency very suddenly on Monday afternoon and we were panicked. We did not know what to do. Luckily we were referred to VEG by our local veterinary office. The doctor and other staff took care of Cleo right away, administered some medicine to ease her pain, and even though we had to make the incredibly difficult decision to say goodbye, we were reassured throughout the whole process that it was the compassionate thing to do. We were with Cleo the whole time and her last moments were with us. You really can tell that the staff care for every pet that comes through the door. We were given a private location to grieve with Cleo as long as we needed after she passed and were treated like we had always been going there, despite it being our first time. Staff also helped us with next steps including cremation services and options for memorials. They were never pushy, aggressive, or disinterested. Quite the opposite; some staff members had tears in their eyes with us. That type of empathy and compassion is very hard to find. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone with a pet who needs critical care. The staff are incredible and when it comes to emergency pet care there's nothing more important than the people taking care of your pet.

Dr. Hensley was incredible! My dog is NOT a fan of any clinic and usually people are very quick to muzzle him due to his reaction to people when they approach him, which is understandable. Dr. Hansley however took a COMPLETELY different approach. She sat with my pup and I and allowed him to get comfortable with her. The staff also did the same when they had to draw his blood. I hope I dont have to take him to another ER visit but this place will definitely be my go too! Excellent care team.

We rushed in with our chihuahua bitten and bleeding everywhere. I was scared and shaken up not knowing if he would be okay due to his heart murmur and enlarged heart but they quickly checked him, gave us a rundown and put a pricing and detailed list together to start working on him. I appreciated given alternatives to not have to do anesthesia and potentially lose him in the procedure due to his heart. Everything was fast, easy and simple to do through their online system. We didn't need to do payments but there was through a third party I believe. The vet was so friendly, as well as the vet assistants. They answered so many questions and walked us through everything. They were very attentive and caring to my dog as he's a rescue and was terrified. They talked to him sweetly as an individual. They were very positive about his recovery but sensitive when explaining that due to his condition he could have other outcomes like heart failure. I was able to stay in the waiting room drinking hot chocolate from their Keurig machine while my brother was with them through the procedure. And even then he said they acknowledged him and walked him through everything they were doing too. I couldn't of picked a better place for such a scary incident to be taken care of. Thank you so much for helping us through this.

This place was easily the best vet experience I have ever had. I am notoriously a bit overdramatic/obsessive/intense when it comes to my cat Ruben, as I had an extremely traumatizing vet experience with another cat in the past. I hadnt slept the night before bringing him in, and was a bit of a basket case, coupled with the anxiety that something was possibly wrong with him.

From the moment I checked in until the moment I left, I felt surrounded by knowledgable, kind people that genuinely cared. Dr. Haake, the technicians, Ashley, Jenna. Everyone was so kind, and I am so glad I took Ruby here. I cannot say enough good things. Thank you guys so much for everything you do.

Amazing emergency vet experience - and great COVID safety protocols. They were very up front about wait time and the fact that they were slammed. But everyone I spoke with was calm, kind, patient, and pleasant. They took great care of my dog, who is usually very anxious at the vet. Their online process for check in, signing forms, payment, etc is genius. You stay in your car the whole time. They grab your pet from you (immediately if it's a severe emergency, or they can wait in the car with you if their vitals are ok) and keep you informed via phone/text the whole time. Even though they were super busy, the vet was very patient and thorough on the phone with me once she examined by pup. Highly recommend.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! This place is absolutely amazing. I took my cat, Rambo, here after a long, sleepless night of trying to deal with another emergency clinic and they were amazing.

I took Rambo into ANOTHER emergency clinic around 11:30pm Saturday night and they were uncommunicative and just flat out mean. After spending 4 hours there, they told me he would have to be hospitalized and quoted me $3,000-5,000 for the bill and they wouldn't treat him until I paid the minimum or paid the maximum if I was using any sort of financed payment! (essentially, holding my pet's health hostage)

I called VEG, to get a second opinion on what the "other guys" told me was wrong. I spoke with Dr. Nelson and she was so kind and reassuring. She talked me through the whole thing and Rambo wasn't even in their care! Yet....

After finally giving up on the other emergency clinic, I transferred Rambo to VEG. They were immediately responsive, professional, and sensitive! They have a super easy check-in process through text messages and the nurse kept me informed of everything that was happening via text. As soon as they could, they let us into the treatment area to see Rambo. The facility was beautifully clean and they had blankets in all the kennels for the animals.

I met with Dr. Marion, who had just taken over for Dr. Nelson for the day shift (yes, it was dawn at this point) and she was just as sweet and sensitive to my wife and I. She told us that not only was the treatment the other clinic recommended unnecessary, but could have done more harm than good!

So, instead of my cat spending two days in the hospital with my wife and I spotting a 4 figure bill, we spent $115 with VEG and Rambo is feeling great! Thank you so much again, you can't even imagine how emotional this night was for my wife and I and we will never bring our cat anywhere else.

Let me tell you, I hate the vet a hundred times more than my pup does. I get nervous not understanding everything that s going on in these types of situations. However this was the BEST experience we ve ever had. My 4 month old golden swallowed a bully stick, and it was safe to say I was a nervous wreck but the staff was so friendly and helpful. I brought my puppy in and knew she was in great care the whole time. I got to be pretty involved when possible, and was able to step away when not. My pup and I both left smiling, even though she spent the whole time throwing up! Amazing experience, I hope for our sake we don t need to go back but if we do, I feel 100% certain that we would be well taken care of again. It can be hard to make decisions when stressed, and the team made it so easy for me with their knowledge and honesty. I am so grateful to have them down the street, I can t say enough to recommend them!

Completely unorganized and hectic. I understand they were busy today, but waiting three hours for a blood test result is unacceptable. I took my dog here since my main clinic was booked today. As a former vet tech, I told them exactly my thoughts and what was happening to my dog, and instead of listening, they tried to take every penny out of me that they could. If you enjoy spending 3 hrs in a waiting room for results that take 20 mins, this is the place for you.

Update: the director of VEG called me after this review to discuss my experience. Our conversation seemed very genuine and she apologized multiple times for how I was treated during my visit.

The BEST vet experience I ve ever had. I ve worked in vetmed for a long time and was amazed at this place. They let us stay with our puppy the entire time, were very vocal with every step taken as well as cost up front, and so friendly during such a stressful night. I hope you never have to come here, but if something goes wrong you can count on this staff to give your pet the best quality care.

This place is amazing. It s pricey but I see it as what you re paying for: the comfort of your animal and an eased mind. Even during covid, when I couldn t go in with my cat, I received constant phone calls for communication. It also seems that they communicate with each other very well because every time I called, they seemed to understand my cats situation. They even faxed over all his info to my regular vet before I could even ask. Everyone I talked to was just so nice and understanding, and I called more than they wanted I m sure! If you find yourself in an emergency, this is the place!

I am SO grateful for the Veterinary Emergency Grou...

I am SO grateful for the Veterinary Emergency Group! As a dog mom who's had pups for almost all of my life, I've been to my fair share of ER vets over the years for everything ranging from an anti-histamine shot for a bee sting reaction to major surgery for a cryptorchid testicle, and my experience at VEG was *hands down* the best experience I've had at an ER vet. The difference here is that they let you stay with your pet for as long as you want and allow you to be there for everything (excluding surgery, I imagine...) and that really makes all the difference in the quality of care, in my opinion.

For this visit, I came in because my dog had a terrible non-stop cough that was causing her to regurgitate bile and my primary vet was booked for the day and couldn't get us in, so off to the ER we went. All of the Dr's that we saw here over the 30 hours my dog was admitted were awesome; from Dr. Nelson who was amazing with examining my pup and really advocating for her when she was initially concerned that she had an esophageal obstruction, to Dr. Pannone who took over my pup's care when Dr. Nelson's shift ended, to Dr. Meyer who was on my pup's overnight rotation and finally figured out with a 2nd set of radiographs that there was a bit of pneumonia in her lungs; they all went the extra mile with making sure that my pup received the very best care.

All of the other staff were amazingly delightful and sweet as well with check-ins to see if I needed any blankets to sit on while I hung out with my pup (I was there for 8 of the 30 hours) or coffee/snacks to make sure I was comfortable, too.

I hope I don't need an ER vet again in the near future, but I know that the next time I have an emergency situation pop up, this will be the only place I take my pup. Thanks so much for everything, VEG!! I'm so incredibly grateful that my baby Clementine is feeling better!

I honestly could rave about this place all day! I ...

I honestly could rave about this place all day! I ended up having to bring both of my dogs in on Saturday afternoon when our regular vet was closed. One of my dogs (Moose) was having some stomach issues throughout the week before. I wasn t too concerned, but after a few days, it wasn t getting any better. My other dog (Badger) was totally fine throughout the week but started throwing blood on Saturday. I called VEG to see if they thought I should bring them in and got to speak with Dr. Nezerka. She suggested bringing them both in case they were being affected by the same thing.

They texted me a check-in link while I was on my way to the clinic, so I was able to check-in from my car once we arrived. We were seen super quickly, and Dr. Nezerka was awesome. She understood that bringing two dogs into an emergency clinic can be expensive, so she went through all of our options for tests/treatment and let me know which options she suggested and which options she wouldn t lose sleep over if we opted to skip them. Thankfully, they weren t super busy, so we were able to hang out in the exam room after each dog received some fluids while we waited for Badger s blood test results. Both dogs were sent home with some probiotics and anti-nausea pills.

Fast forward to about 11pm on Sunday night, and Badger was throwing up again, drooling literal puddles all over the house, and pacing around. I remembered that Dr. Nezerka mentioning that Badger shouldn t throw up again if he was on the anti-nausea pills; if he did that was a big red flag. I called VEG again and talked to Dr. McCorkle, who agreed that it was concerning that he was throwing up after taking his meds.

Shawna greeted us at the door and immediately took Badger s vitals. Dr. McCorkel followed behind shortly and suggested we take some x-rays to see if there were any blockages. She offered a bed in case I wanted to take a nap since x-rays typically take 1-1.5 hours to come back, and at this point is was a little after midnight. I ended up leaving shortly to go back home to check on my other sick dog, and they set Badger up with a blanket in the back with them.

The x-rays came back kind of inconclusive: no obvious blockages or foreign objects. There was some trapped gas in the intestines and some ingesta which could just have been his dinner or some foreign material. Dr. McCorkel also understood that emergency clinic visits can be pricey so she gave the options of taking him home and observing him for a few hours to see if things improved or they could give him fluids through a catheter for 8 hours and then re-do the x-rays to see if the ingesta had been flushed out.

I opted to give him the fluids and re-do the x-rays in the morning. Thankfully everything seemed to sort itself out, and I was able to pick him up around 11am on Monday. Both dogs have been improving since their trips to VEG, and we re so grateful for them!

I m sure there were many others involved in treating Moose and Badger behind the scenes, but Dr. Nezerka, Dr. McCorkel, Kaitlyn, and Shawna were the ones I interacted with the most, and I d just like to give them a shout out. All of them were extremely nice, easy to talk to, calm, understanding and explained things thoroughly!

Emergency circumstances aside, I don t know that I ve had a better vet experience. I m kind of upset that they can t be our regular vet! Hopefully we re done with urgent vet needs for now, but if anything comes up in the future, we will only be going to VEG! Thank you!!

More like an urgent care. My dog was bleeding internally and before I could bring her in I had to answer questions on a link they sent to my phone including how I heard about this place. I was infuriated that my dog was actively dying and I was being asked about marketing. It took 6 minutes for them to come out to get my dog.

After my dog was examined, I was told they didn't have the equipment or specialists to assess and operate on her so they recommended another higher-level emergency vet where I then had to drive her at 10pm.

The people were lovely and kind but if your animal is in dire straights, this isn't the place to go.

We were so pleased with the response of Dr. Haack and the team at VEG this week when we had an emergency with our Mini-Doodle puppy, Moose. The team quickly assessed the issue, keeping us informed and involved at every step. They were friendly, considerate and compassionate treating Moose like he was theirs. We decided on a course of treatment and watched as the team went about their work. Moose went home the same evening and back to being a puppy. We couldn t have asked for a better experience during a very scary moment.

Our 3 year old mini goldendoodle, Dillon, had lost his appetite and showed elevated levels of creatinine and BUN indicating poor kidney function. We were referred to VEG by our primary vet, and they were extremely helpful, kind, and empathetic. After an ultrasound and additional tests, Dillon was diagnosed with renal lymphoma. Throughout the days we spent at VEG, we were treated incredibly well. We were even given our own room to stay in with Dillon for two nights and the vet techs and doctors were accommodating to our every need. Dr. Nelson, all other doctors involved, and the vet tech staff went above and beyond for us making an emotionally draining and terrible situation more tolerable. As Dillon continues to fight, I call VEG first when any concerns come up. I can t recommend this group enough. Thank you SO MUCH for all you ve done for us, VEG. We owe you and are forever grateful for all you do.

Last week I made the call to say goodbye to my best friend. This was the third time I ve had to do this, and it was by far the best experience I ve had. The technicians were extremely kind and went out of their way to bring some joy to such a horrible day. They brought my dog a forbidden treats feast before the operation and he was in pure bliss. Doctor Meyer performed the operation with such empathy and even mailed me a hand-written note. They sent me home with a clay imprint of his paws that I will keep forever.

This was my third experience with VEG and the other two times were just as exceptional. The technicians are so incredibly kind and caring - they make every reasonable accommodation to make sure you and your pet have the best experience possible. I would absolutely recommend taking your pet here.

I brought my dog to VEG Denver at around 830pm after coming home to find that he ate 30 days of pain meds. Every single staff member I dealt with was incredibly kind, and comforted me the best they could (I was a bit hysterical at that point). I can t tell you how grateful I am that VEG exists! It gives me so much relief knowing that a 24/7 emergency vet is now located in such a convenient location and that my pup will have great last minute care if I ever need it. I had to take my dog here the other day for a post-grooming eye injury and Kerri Nelson and her team were absolutely incredible. So kind, knowledgeable, and all around great. Not only did they take incredible care of Bailey, but they followed up multiple times to check on her in the days following. Dr. Nelson and staff were fantastic! We had to bring our dog in tonight (Sunday) night after a few days of concerning symptoms, especially worrisome to us as he is a service dog, essential for a family members survival! First of all when we called ahead we got to speak to Dr. Nelson on the phone (amazing!) We were able to check in online via text message prompt, were promptly greeted upon arrival, got to stay with our dog the whole time (except when he was getting X-rays, as to avoid exposure to radiation), were included in the assessment and plan of care. We were updated throughout the visit, given the opportunity to ask questions, and got to review lab work and X-rays with the doctor! There was a clear plan about going home, and when to call, return to the clinic or see our personal vet! While we hope to never have to make another emergent visit, so grateful to know that VEG is so close by if we need them! Thank you!

I will be honest my first interaction was tough. There was alot of miscommunication. However after leaving very upset and distraught. The manager Georgia after reading my review reached out to me and had Dr.Nelson speak to me. She offered her services to see our cat Melvin who had been yellow for several days. I get there and they take him in right away and got to work to try and figure out what was going on with my kitty grandson . Everyone was very nice and explained the process with me in detail. Dr. Nelson made sure she called or texted me on how I was feeling and Melvin's care. I really appreciate that and It really restored my faith in Veg and the compassion for not just animals but people too. The biggest thing was getting Melvin home to my son and they really did do that. Thank you for the help I dont know what I would have done without your kindness.

Our dog was sick I Denver, and I was in Florida. It was definitely scary and nerve wrecking not being able to take our dog to the hospital. Regardless of the distance, VEG kept us consistently informed. Paying for their services was easy. They did what they could with the budget that I provided. They were great to work with and if an emergency comes up again, we will return to them.

New pup parents here and we had a scare with our little one. We spoke to a vet when we called which was comforting. They sent us a text to check in before we arrived to save time and were quick, friendly and sent us a text message soon as they had some news for us on how she was doing. Great service, would highly recommend. Thank you!

We had an amazing experience here. Not only is it 30 minutes closer than any other emergency vet, but we were also seen immediately with absolutely no wait. Vet was very attentive and to the point, we were in and out with a solution in less time than we would've spent in the waiting room at any other emergency vet in the metro area. We will definitely be prioritizing this place for any future emergencies!

We are so thankful to the team at VEG! Last week, our boy Ollie came down with a bad cough. We took him to another emergency vet who gave him medication and he had a terrible reaction. We took him back to the same vet after he was continuously vomiting and they gave him more medication and didn't follow up with us.

After an afternoon of continuous vomiting, we could tell something was just not right. We got a second opinion with VEG and they told us to bring him in. Having a sick pup is a scary and stressful experience but the vets (Dr. Meyer and Dr. Pannone) were so attentive to Ollie and really went the extra mile making sure that he got the proper care. He stayed overnight to be monitored. The staff texted us pictures and each time we called to check in we were able to speak to someone right away who gave us detailed updates about his condition and test results. It's really a terrible feeling to leave a sick pet in an unfamiliar environment but the staff at VEG made us feel so much better that he was in good hands.

We were so impressed with the friendly staff, communication, and quality of care at this office and would definitely recommend choosing them if your pet is in need! Ollie is almost back to his normal self thanks to VEG!

After taking our Havanese dog to the same veternarian for the past 5 years, we had to take him in on a week-end for emergency care. He had been having some seizures for a while and sleeping a lot more than normal. Our regular vet said that this happens with old dogs. She took a blood sample and we were told that nothing was abnormal. Our dog was unable to walk so we went to VEG. We were taken to the treatment area immediately when we arrived even though there were others waiting. These vets and techs, unlike our regular vet who had been treating our dog, realized he was terribly sick. In his xray, we were shown a huge tumor for a dog his size. He was dying. We brought him back the next day to be put to sleep. Never in our years of owning dogs were we cared for in such a professional, sincere, and caring manner from start to finish. We and our dog were respected and valued as if we had been coming there for years. We are blessed to be able to have VEG and their staff in our lives during such a heartbreaking time.

I had a really positive experience with the staff and doctors at this veterinary hospital. My pup got attacked by a much larger dog and the staff here took such great care of her and more importantly, Dr Nelson talked me through the treatment plan and options and she helped to tailor the plan to limit cost as much as we could. I m very appreciative for the team here and would recommend to others who are looking for a knowledgeable team to care for their furry friend.

The BEST VET experience we've had! Went in very late at night with both dogs having eating something. The team at VEG took great care of us, saw us quickly and were fantastic with our pups. I'll never forget how great of an experience this was during what would normally have been a scary time!

Truly the most amazing, efficient and transparent ...

Truly the most amazing, efficient and transparent medical experience I have ever had, human or canine. My dog had an issue with her paw and within 10 minutes of arriving she had already been evaluated by an awesome vet tech and Dr. Meyer, who were both gentle and communicative. As soon as there was a proposed plan, the tech showed me an itemized bill of exactly what would cost what, before anything began. The amazing purple-haired vet tech made sure I knew I could stay with my pup the entire time, literally had me hold her while she was put under and I was able to watch the whole procedure and be there right as she woke up. The whole place is physically a very open space so you can see exactly how they operate, none of that taking your dog behind closed doors stuff I m used to seeing at vets. Literally I wish I could come here as a human ER!

AND when registering/creating a profile for you and your pet, as the owner you can identify your pronouns from a long list of drop downs. A quick and efficient way to make me feel welcome and accepted. Can t say enough good things about this place.

Thank you for your kindness and compassion to our friend as she had to make the difficult decision to end the suffering of her cat Sebastian. Your quick action ensured he had no suffering and was able to end his life with care and dignity. While I hope no other pet parent has to go through this type of event, if they do I would not hesitate to recommend your hospital.

My husband and I brought our 17 year-old cat here after she stopped breathing late at night. They got to her right away. Sadly, she had passed by the time we got there. We had never been here before, but the staff's compassion was amazing. They let us take our time and say goodbye, which meant the world to us. Thank you for being so kind while I was a complete mess.

Had to bring our pup in this weekend for emergency GI issues and could not have been more impressed. The doctor really took the time to speak with us and made sure our questions were answered. When we called after discharge to follow-up on new symptoms we were able to speak directly with the doctor, right away. It means a lot to have compassionate individuals taking care of your fur babies. If we ever need emergency veterinary care in the future, we re definitely going back to VEG.

So far, so good! Our chocolate lab Cafe swallowed a ball and needed emergency laparotomy. The bill was quoted as over $5K but they worked with us to find a financial adjustment. The dog was the priority to them (not the payment). When his incision was opening and he was not sedated enough this group was always accessible and ready to flex the plan to include new meds, refills and advice. We so far are very happy with VEG taking care of Cafe and would heartily recommend them to anyone!

I go to a lot of businesses throughout a week/month/year. This one is a literal GEM among gems! I will never go anywhere else for pet care after my experience with VEG Colfax. The staff that works here is over the top amazing, they are the most compassionate animal caregivers I've ever encountered in 15+ years. They are extremely well equipped to handle anything, even a human dealing with the worst day of their life. I cannot thank this entire group enough for their expertise, guidance and compassion when seeing my dog, evaluating and eventually putting him to rest. I am still amazed over a week later and cannot thank them enough. I received a card with hand written condolences from every person that looked at my dog... I will never ever forget the doctors and assistants at VEG that helped me. Dr. DeBrincat, Dr. White, Sydney, and Sydney are all angels on Earth and all deserve huge raises. Thank you very much

Dr. Tyler and nurse Sarah were phenomenal. Our dog was suffering from severe back/joint pains and his usual dose of medication wasn't working. He had also eaten half a grape earlier in the evening. He threw up, but the process of throwing up had caused his back/joint to flare up in extreme pain. We had stayed up with him well into the morning massaging him and trying to reduce his pain. After no major change in his mood we had finally decided to get him to emergency care. The V.E.G was the first location that actually allowed us to speak to a doctor and get the correct information we needed. They gave great recommendations and when we arrived they saw him right away. They were kind and walked us through all the options we could take for him. It definitely helped reduce our stress and he was well cared for. Thank you V.E.G for evaluating him and providing good options that wouldn't effect the usual medication he takes. Also, thank you for your concern, professionalism, and amazing treatment of both him and us.

My 18 month old Great Dane, Molly Brown, had major complications from a very poorly done spay and gastropexy. I rushed her to Denver VEG at midnite on a weekend and I was met with the most caring and competent team of people I have met in a very long time. They met us at our car, rushed us in the back door and worked as a team to make sure they put pressure on the incision that was leaking large amounts of blood and then did a quick ultra sound to confirm hemorrhaging in the abdomen. The lead vet, who I believe is the Medical Director at this facility, led with a sense of calm and confidence that truly put my mom-heart at ease. They determined Molly needed to be moved to an emergency hospital that could do a blood transfusion - they called this hospital ahead of time to make sure they had ALL the details before we even arrived. Like many others have said, they let you stay with your pet during the examination and procedures which I and Molly found helped a lot. I took her back to Denver VEG today to get her staples removed, as I didn't want to take her back to the original vet, and they once again treated us sooooo well. I am so grateful for this resource in the Denver area. To the Denver VEG staff....THANK YOU!

STAY AWAY. MOST UNETHICAL VETS I HAVE EVER KNOWN. ...

STAY AWAY. MOST UNETHICAL VETS I HAVE EVER KNOWN. CONTEMPLATING A REVIEW BY THE CO STATE BOARD OF VETERINARY MEDICINE.

My dog recently got sick while I was in Moab, UT. I wanted her to see her normal vet, but due to traffic/snow on I-70, I didn't get back to Denver until after my vet closed. I read the google reviews and decided to take my dog to VEG.

After a brief check-in the receptionist stated the vet was busy and it would be about 10 minutes before the dog could be seen. I asked if she (the dog...not the receptionist : ) ) could wait in my car. They brought her out immediately. Maybe 8-10 minutes later the vet called with an initial diagnosis (based upon the time line from the receptionist to the call, the vet could only have met with my dog for 1-2 minutes maximum).

The vet had an initial assessment requiring several thousand dollars to monitor and run a battery of diagnostic tests. I let the vet know I am homeless and the dog and I live in a 4Runner. The vet immediately said I can give her a shot, antibiotics and other medicine for approx. $350 (I received less pressure from the salesman I bought my last used car from). I agreed, they took my dog back in and returned her with the medicines a few minutes later.

I was charged $120 for the visit ($7,200/hr for time with the vet); $95.60 for fluids (seems reasonable); $17.55 for the medicine (a Costco prescription could have been filled for less than $12); and $26.91 for 5 packets of canine probiotics (which are sold over the counter at PetSmart for 56 CENTS EACH OR $2.82 TOTAL).

Needless to say, I am truly disgusted by VEG. I have told two veterinary groups, both with VCA, who will no longer recommend them and two professional dog trainers, who will also not recommend them. PLEASE, PLEASE STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU EITHER DON'T CARE FOR YOU PET OR YOUR MONEY.

My dog Ollie got a pretty bad cut on his paw, and this group of people were absolutely amazing to him before, during and after the stitches. They are so good at making the owners and animals comfortable, and you can tell they truly care about each animal. I wish they were a normal vet as well because I would love to have Ollie back in their care anytime. Thank you so much for your knowledge and heart, you made my experience as amazing as it could be given the circumstances.

Had an amazing experience here, would definitely recommend. Took my cat in on a Saturday afternoon and they got him in right away and took great care of him. They were very reassuring and honest about any possible costs up front. Prices were more than reasonable. Hate having to take my baby in to any emergency animal hospital but if it needs to happen again, I'm definitely going here.

Our fur baby was attacked by another dog and we took him to another animal hospital but we had no primary vet to follow up with. They got us in immediately, took excellent care of him and the vet went above and beyond by giving us her work schedule the following week so we could bring him to another follow up with her since she was familiar with his injury. I wish they were primary vets instead of just an ER because they were compassionate, communicative, and had excellent customer service from the front desk all the way up. Thanks ladies!!!
