Fantastic location in Times Square. The view from the hotel terrace or our room was unique. The staff generally friendly, at the bar a bit slow. The breakfast was just great.

Gun position. Room of a good size for a Hotel in the heart of Time Square. Petit dej at the top.

Great location. For the hotel price I would have liked a bit more customer proximity. The room was made with an absolute minimum. The terrace is just awesome with the view of the Time Square.

Nice room, great view, room service was tasty (burger and fries). Staff was friendly. Great shower: hot and good pressure. Hotel is in a great location and we heard no street noise. Bed could have been more comfortable and the sink could have had more pressure.

I truly enjoyed the rooftop and ambiance at the Novotel.

It is spectacular, ideal to share a moment with friends.

We visit the Novotel every year this time. The place is much nicer after the renovations were completed a few years ago, but the service continues to be the shortcoming. Slow service, uninterested staff, and a slew of newbies replaces the long term faces of the past. We will probably look elsewhere next year.

Perfect location, we had a problem with our room located on the 15th, we had already made a request by email for a coffee maker that was not there, the most serious the closet door fell and almost injured our 7 year old daughter , the team was very responsive and it is worried, it was late we want to sleep so we are told not to hesitate to appeal if necessary, the next day in the morning we have the right to a letter of apology accompanied a bottle of water and macaroons
And in compensation, we have the right to a premium room on the 23rd floor equipped with a bathrobe etc. The view was superb on Broadway, plus we have a 2 breakfast for 4, in January he had no expectations

Hotel very well placed in New York with a great terrace for a drink at night in front of the lights of times square. Very contemporary decor and breakfast very varied and for all tastes (but not given, 25 $ / pers)

Excellent rooftop view over Times Square. Bar drinks and snacks such as Pizza are all that's available out on the Rooftop. Main meals have to be had inside, but quality is good.

Beautiful view from the terrace towards the time square, nice rooms, for one of the things that I return to that hotel is the wonderful breakfast, very good service.

Rooms are nice, not many hangers though. View is great if you are facing Times Square or the side! Rooms aren't always cleaned correctly. Paper might be limited and more stuff like that.

Check in took way longer than average as there was only 1 receptionist. The receptionist was probably overworked which was why she was acting kind of unfriendly. There is no complimentary water anywhere in this whole hotel! You'd have to go to the one vending machine located inside the gym...seriously? The lobby was blasting Cardi B uncensored, very unprofessional. The room itself was clean and average, although the window was dirty. After I checked out, I found out that they overcharged my credit card by $100+. I called the hotel but they couldn't see the charge and told me I have to call back tomorrow for accounting department. Overall, it definitely wasn't a nice experience and will definitely stay away from this place.

Well priced. Deluxious food. Great staff, convenient location for walking down to times square or anywhere around Broadway, nearby Subway access for anything else.

The rooms were nice and the bathroom mirror has really cool lamps. The shower is large. The lobby is a bit over the top and over priced but the view from the rooms is really nice. The GoogleMaps directions to get here were very confusing and misleading.

Very welcome of our arrival at 22 hours. Room very clean and well appointed. Air conditioning totally and easily programmable. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Very helpful staff. Well soundproofed rooms which is essential in Times Square. Location of the ideal hotel and life on Times Square remarkable.

Had a great stay. Hotel has a great view of Times Square from the hotel bar/restaurant. The room was decently sized for being in the city. Only one person at reception checking people out in the morning so that took a bit longer than anticipated

Our stay at Novotel was very good and we did enjoy our time there. The only issue we had was that there was one day in which our room was not cleaned. Other than that I should mention that the staff were courteous and friendly, and we have very good memories from this place. The views and location are also spectacular. Overall a great place to stay.

Really cool hotel in fantastic area and Times Square view. Room was quite big and clean. Unfortunately breakfast is not included.

You will be impressed as soon as you walk into the lobby here. Ultra modern design makes you feel energized and ready to take on the city.
There was a slight issue with our keys not working properly but was quickly resolved. It did seem to be an issue though with several other guests as well.
View from our room was perfect as it overlooked time square.

Excellent room, great beds, wonderful view and situated in a central position, I wouldn't recommend getting the breakfast as it's very expensive so just head out for breakfast instead!

We were there in the early '90's. The reception, bellhop, high rise and quiet, rooftop restaurant, kids are free with parents, location, and 5 star rating for the great price were something to talk about.

I love it, magical in the area where it is located. The view from the terrace is recommended, where you can have a drink and enjoy the view! Safety pin
Very good rooms, excellent service.

Overall it was a good stay. The cleanliness was below average. The carpet was not clent on arrival nor the bathroom floor and stayed that way throughout our stay. We found the staff in the night less attentive and welcoming than day, but this is quite common. Otherwise everything was good. I think what needs to be improved is cleanliness. When there are several shopping tags on the carpet after the last client and it stays there, there has been no vacumer in the room. We dont mind thats why we didnt say anything, but it would be good to talk to the houskeeper of that room to make sure she does all her routine in the room. This might make us try another hotel next time.Location good, breafkast good, interior, design etc good!

Any hotel is expensive in NYC but this one for the views it has and the amenities it seems to me a very acceptable price.

I and my daughter are thrilled with the hotel. The great location and room just perfect. We will come again. The staff is very friendly. Everything is so easy to explore from the hotel. I Love NYC and Novotel New York Time Square Hotel.

Disappointed that they did not accept the their own loyalty card as it was booked through partner website. Access to the hotel is not straightforward and need to wait to in queues ro enter in lifts and for breakfast. Customers could have been served better with more friendly staff at the reception and at the restaurant.

We stayed here three days (in Sept. 2012) before we boarded a cruise ship for Canada. The location is great for walking to Time Square and Broadway Theaters. We walked across the street to see a Broadway Play! Service was good and staff was friendly. The last morning we had breakfast, the staff was pretty slow getting to us and gave us the feeling we were annoying them by asking for things. The dining room wasn't busy... but I realize those things happen from time to time. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay. One evening we sat on the terrace and listened to (dj) music and watched people dance. The terrace has a fantastic view of Time Square as did our room. I'd stay again, most definitely!

Hotel well located, room ok.
On the other hand, the welcome was mediocre, especially in the morning at breakfast. This is the first time I see this in a hotel accor group. Thank you for reviewing the basics of hospitality and courtesy. A simple hello or a smile does not hurt. I do not recommend breakfast, little diversified, and too expensive.

A hotel that has a very nice bar with a view of all Time Square.

Room great and view was great as well, but the service and food could have been WAY better.

As an Accor member was happy with the upgrade but found the bathroom very small, and was not provided with the privileges that an Accor Platinum member would usually be provided with. Had to request tnree times for body lotion, no robes in the room, only paper cups in tne room for tea, which not replaced each day and had to request them. Thought the restaurant had a limited menue, had the checken for dinner which was very dry with little flavor. Hotel location is great, cocierge very helpful female receptionist very good male ones not so much.

Clean rooms, great location, friendly staff. Special call-out to the housekeeper on the 17th floor who called us to ask if we would like to have a coffee machine. Remarkable because it showed her attention to detail and thoughtfulness. Great job Novotel, hiring great people.

Trendy hotel in the heart of the theater district. Great views of Times Square from the bar/restaurants and most of the rooms. The rooms themselves are very comfortable and stylish. Staff is extremely pleasant and courteous. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely consider it again in the future.

Very nice hotel, magnificent terrace with a view of Time Square, very nice decoration and spacious room.

- Three consistent rude receptions: 1) reject my early check in request, 2) did not say "happy birthday" when I told her it was my birthday - only say "it must be 21 right?" and reject my upgrade request, 3) reject my late check out - after I explained that I am a platinum member, he gave me until 15.00
- Very slow response from Guest relation manager: need to email two and three times before I receive responses
- Bill still outstanding: deducted my points and charged full payment on my credit card. NO RESPONSE on my email to both hotel and guest relation manager until now.

This bar is a lot of fun. During times of nicer weather, you can go outside to the rooftop portion of the bar which has great views of midtown Manhattan. There is also a large bar area inside. This is a great spot for after work happy hours. They have pretty good happy hour specials during the week. It's a large enough space that it never gets too crowded

The hotel is good, the location perfect. The terrace with a view of the times square is superb. The prices, like everywhere in the United States, a pure exaggeration.
Very good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Attention: no garage! But an agreement with a parking lot 100 meters further. What is incomprehensible is that this parking lot is located downstream from the hotel which is on a one-way street. If you want to avoid having to walk around Times Square to collect your luggage at the hotel, you will have to take it with you when you go to the garage, which in the case of a family may not be very convenient. It would be better if the hotel made an agreement with one of the two underground car parks which are located upstream of the hotel, and in addition, which are closer.
