A great place in the heart of Manhattan. For me one of the best places to visit New York. On the 15th floor is the reception and the dining room and its terrace with the glass body guards to fully appreciate the view of Times Square. This hotel allows for its location to have access to all the major centers of interest of Manhattan such as Times Square, Central Park, Empire State Building take the bus to go to the docks to take the boat towards the city. Statue of Liberty via Grand Central and many others. View of its proximity, we can even go back to the room take a good shower at the end of the day before leaving in the evening. The rooms are very clean and the staff very helpful. I RECOMMEND !!!

I tried checking in a few hours early but no rooms were available which was ok since I was in early and the hotel allowed me to check in my bags while I went out. I was eventually accommodated before my actual check in of 3 pm you which was great. The hotel was as advertised and met my expectations. The staff was helpful, the rooms were clean and roomy considering it's NYC. I liked that the rooms had a mini fridge so I could store water. The price was also fair. I'd definitely stay again on my next trip to NYC.

The hotel was very nice and had a Las Vegas kind of style. The room was a single king, with nice furnishings. We had a late dinner at the restaurant, the food was nicely presented but priced a bit high.

Was stuck in the elevator for 25 minutes on September 24. Missed my tour and felt there was inadequate response from management. Found out later the elevator had been down previously in the day but they did not shut it down. Disappointed!

French staff very pleasant. Magnificent view on the floor. Ideal location in Times Square. Room very clean and well equipped. Maids pleasant and efficient. Small flat for the restaurant or the team in the room is not up to the rest of the hotel.

Excellent overall.
Restaurant staff could be improved a little.
Front desk staff were very helpful.
We could not find any inform information about the services offered in the hotel so we did not know we could have had inform coffee.
Need more towel rails in the bathroom

Decent hotel in a very good location on West 52nd street. Close to Broadway, Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, theatres - all just a short walk away. Lots of great dining options in the area. Hotel has a good bar to grab drinks.

Very nice hotel, well placed in the Times Square area.
Quiet hotel despite the busy streets.
Gym a little fair and past.
Magnificent views of Times Square from the lobby and breakfast.
Flat: breakfast overpriced.

Location location location! The only thing I would have changed were the toiletries - soap, shampoo and shower gel is a skimpy selection for this range of hotel. I would like to see hair conditioner and lotion (and slippers). Otherwise nothing to complain about. I hear breakfast was good and there's complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby in the mornings. Room was clean, there was a mini fridge for your own supplies and we got additional soft blankets.

Hello,

Hello,

My experience at the Novotel Time Square hotel is very mixed. I am a Platinum member with Accord and other groups. I will list the negative points. I was not given a room with a beautiful view of Time Square, which was nevertheless my desire. I requested it when I arrived and was offered 2 beds with a view and nothing else. I would have appreciated it if someone told me that the first night was full but that the next day it could be fine. My room was cleaned every day but no coffee, drink in the bar, garbage cans not emptied one day, hair left in the bathroom were not given to me. The breakfast which was included in the price. Every day they asked me to sign a note that I signed. But behind my signature added some "TIPS" that I discovered when paying my bill !!! Very classy as behavior.

So, I am writing this message to signal my dissatisfaction and I will not be returning to the New York Novotel again. I come 4 times a year on average and I wanted to try the Time Square and not the Sofitel which is my favorite hotel in NY. I intend to send a letter to the Paris headquarters for this inconvenience.

Very good hotel to stay in New York. Close to Times Square and very good neighborhood, with good restaurants and shops. The rooms are not very large but they are cozy. Depending on the room you have a good view of Times Square. I recommend!

Wonderful hotel, friendly, helpful staff. We were here for 5 days on vacation this past week, we weren t sure what to expect not having traveled to NYC before. What a pleasant surprise! Clean, comfy rooms! Ellie, the housekeeper on our floor was one of the sweetest ladies ever. All the employees we talked to were fabulous, we would definitely return.

Extremely pleasant, well located, very attentive staff.
Surrounded by the pieces of the moment, overlooking Time Square, a few meters from 5th avenue, Central Park, Rockfeller Center and other famous places we dream of visiting.
The room is perfect, with wardrobes for clothes, niches in the bathroom, a large table to study, work or plan the day, a sofa to rest, a nice bed.
From the bedroom, the view of the Hudson River was the icing on my cake!
Modern, cozy and functional environments: bar, restaurant, outdoor areas, gazebo.
The decor is very tasteful.
The diversity of flowers in the outdoor area made me forget that I was in such a large and polluted city.
Still in the external area, several environments suitable for various moods!
Viewed almost 180 degrees from corner to corner.
Easy check-in and check-out.
The only drawback was the cleanliness. It leaves something to be desired, especially in the bathroom.
I highly recommend it.

The room is spacious, the bathroom is good and the breakfast is excellent except for the fact the service is not included. We stayed at Novotel in different countries and this was the only one that even having already paid for the breakfast there was the suggestion of payment for service.

I slept one night very nice excellent service too bad the excessive price I did not understand that it cost so much.
however it was worth it the area was that of my interest I knew cghe was expensive but not really like that.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to time square and the 7th floor patio
Bar. The view was amazing from the patio IF you could find a place to sit.
Of the 4 days we stayed at the Novotel ,three of the nights the patio was booked for private parties. The last night was the worst as well over 200 people took over the outside and inside bars. Not patrons of the hotel.
My complaint to management was not well received.
The rest of the staff were amazing but I would NOT recommend this hotel

i wish i could give them 0 stars. do not go. this place is shanty. during our visit various things were wrong. the windows looking into time square are so dirty it s appalling, the maids used half of my very expensive face cream, and they charged $50 a room after our stay claiming it was a hold but it was clearly not. when talking to the staff they were belittling and not helpful at all.
the convenience store up charges you double!! they are banking on tourist not noticing and did it to us THREE TIMES for the same thing. horrible horrible horrible place.

Great hotel for our first experience of New York. The beds for comfortable and we found the room to be plenty big and clean The only gripes we had were the exorbitant drink prices at the bar ($16 for a captain diet). It kept us away from mingling down there. I know that NYC is expensive but yikes.

Very good hotel located in Times Square. The rooms are big and very pretty. The restaurant is also very good buffet style. Very rich. In the evening, you can sip a cocktail in the hotel's rooftop bar with a magnificent view of Times Square.

Stunning views from the table we had. Times Square is amazing at night and where the restaurant is situated, it really is a perfect way to eat and drink.
Ok, time for the negative points,
The food: I had a burger as if you are in New York what else is there to have. It really was not nice at all. There were two really thick tomato slices in between the bun and the burger. This made everything wet and slimly. The more I ate the wetter it got and basically washed all the taste away.
The service: At the start of the meal we had good service and the staff were friendly and polite. The main problem was after we paid for the meal and gave a tip.
I was amazed and disappointed when the waiter came back and asked for a bigger tip. The reasons he has given were that he only works for tips, the view he provided and the wonderful service. The waiter really was in my face so to prevent spoiling the evening as I was with my wife and son I gave in and give him some more money. The meal had cost us $180 so with the tips cost well over $200. Hours

I had been in New York for a week before this happened, so I aware of the tips in the Big Apple but the strength of the confrontation in such a high standard hotel did surprise me.

I would not go back again

Hotel very well located next to Time Square which does not justify its horribly expensive price of the night without breakfast the service of dinner leaves something to be desired even if the dishes are correct and rather rich. The rooms on the lower floors are noisy. Opt instead for a room from the 25th floor

For our second visit to the metropolis, I chose the same Hotel and the same room, a room with a spectacular view over Time Square, a giant bed and an additional bed / sofa, fridge, safe, etc.
Spotless room, towels are replaced every day if needed, bathroom products.
Breakfast, booked from home and I recommend (at the hotel costs $ 21 per person), there is everything sweet and savory, bread, croissants, juices of various kinds .... with in addition immense window on Time Square with possibility to do it outside.
Baggage and taxi service, 100 meters from the metro, in the city center convenient to every visit to the attractions of the metropolis.

The hotel is well located in the center of New York. Rooms quite small, but sufficient for a family of four. Clean and comfortable. From the room the perfect view of Times Square. In the evenings you can sit on the terrace, of course also with a view. It is also priced attractively, of course, for this city. Breakfasts very rich and tasty.

In New York for the first time, we stayed 4 nights at NOVOTEL TIMES SQUARE, this hotel is particularly well located, close to TIMES SQUARE while being quiet, 30 minutes walk from CENTRAL PARK and 5th avenue , 10 minutes walk from the ROCK FELLER CENTER ..... A real treat
Very pleasant hotel staff, the concierge speaks French, the rooms are very functional. To recommend

Excellent hotel !!! Excellent attention and beautiful view to receive new year here I just did not like that I had breakfast included and the waiter took the bill to everyone I asked and told me not to just give me the tip .. I thought it was in bad taste like it was going to Tipping. But the room was perfect the receptionist a love! Even the room service was wonderful! 100% recommended

I enjoyed everything but my experience with the service at your bar. I went to get a drink for me and a few people I had with me. No waitresses were around so my daughter and I went to the bar and sat waiting for the bartender to get to us. He saw us and intentionally ignored us and waited on a number of people who came to the bar after us. For the rest of the week we went to other areas and were waited on in a timely fashion. This was our second visit within one year to our hotel.

The hotel is very nice and well kept, but the rooms dont have enough lighting in them. the shower in my mother in laws room wouldn't drain properly, it would fill up and then go down after you've turned the water off.

We are happy with our stay, except for some remarks: not even a bottle of water in the room. In addition it was not possible for us to dine at 10:45 pm on July 4th ... it's still a shame because all the staff are very competent and cordial.

We spent two days in New York. It was incredible. In addition to that, we stayed in the Novotel located in Times Square. Our room on the 29th floor was beautiful with a breathtaking view. The only drawback is the very expensive breakfast

Having been forced to find a place last minute the hotel was fantastic in finding a room (with a sliver of the view of Times Square) but also making you feel at home. Up to normal Novotel standards, clean, neat with everything you need plus some luxury.

A very good hotel for a New York city trip. Located in the middle of Broadway / Times Square, you are very central. Metro stations nearby, as well as the hop on / hop off buses. It is not a cheap hotel, but nothing is really cheap in New York. You know that in advance. You do get a spacious room with nice, spacious beds. Everything clean and hygienic. Staff is friendly and helpful

The price quality ratio is not good. The hotel is very expensive and is not related to benefits. The attention of the bar on the terrace is not good. The accessibility is regular since there are only two asensores to get the street to the lobby.

The location of the hotel is great and the room is beautiful you have everything you need so that's great staff are very friendly too
I myself did not eat in this hotel because otherwise it was too expensive, but you have plenty of shops in the area!

My wife and I always stay at the Novotel when we visit New York City (NYC). We love the theater and the hotel's location is right off Times Square in the heart of the theater district. The rooms are clean, well kept, and competitively-priced for NYC. Motif is Danish modern.

Security is excellent. You take an elevator from street level to the main lobby which is on the second floor; that elevator does NOT go to any other floors. Visitors must pass the reception desk before they can reach a separate bank of elevators that take you to the upper floors where guest rooms are located. Someone was thinking here.

Restaurant is on the second level just beyond the reception desk. Food is good but the view of Times Square is better. If necessary, wait to get a window table. Piano bar between reception area and the restaurant is contemporary and music level enables quiet conversation.

I recommend this hotel to my friends and I do to you.

The above one-liner captures the good and satisfying experience we had.

However, it would be good if you can provide some more seating space near the concierge desk as it is rather cramped right now. I do recognise that we are talking of space in New York. But, some rearrangement inside should help.

Decent sized rooms. Sound proofing okay, but not great, and given the location you will hear a lot of sirens, horns etcetera. Typical Times Square touristy clientele, including a lot of Europeans.
