My husband and I were here for a birthday party, and we usually get you know steak and some sides, but we decided to go light this time, but we still wanted steak. We got the Hot Rock with wagyu beef. We got three different kinds, about 3 oz each so total 9 oz. It is was pretty pricey, spent about $600 that night, but it has to be the best meat I ever put in my mouth. The beef melted like butter. We will definitely be back for some more wagyu !

The crab cake was perfect.
The ribeye was one of best I have had.
The only down was sides (ones I had), were basic steakhouse sides that didnt really stand out.
The breaded prawn appetizer, which was something I had never had was really good.
The creme brulee was a well made creme brulee and the berries were very fresh.

This experience was a true gem. Especially the service! My fiance was pregnant and we were there for our anniversary and the waitress had a non alcoholic drinks mixed just for her without us even asking. Every course was exquisite. We are looking to make this an annual thing after this experience.

We made a reservation on June 15 for my daughter s birthday. This was our first time at Nick and Sam s and we were very disappointed. Our server, Elena just really made us uncomfortable like she was doing us a favor. The appetizers were very good. We had the fried lobster, broccoli, and dumplings. Two of the steaks that we ordered were very overcooked and had to be sent back. Then for my daughters birthday dessert, when we were asking about desserts on the menu and we asked about the cakes Elaina said well yeah she can get the cake if you pay for it. So rude. Then my daughter ordered sorbet with her cotton candy, that yes we paid for and Elena brought out vanilla and chocolate ice cream. My daughter does not eat chocolate. When I called this to Elena s attention because she charged us for it she had the audacity to bring out more vanilla ice cream with gummy bears. It was just really cheap. Then when I presented my credit card, Elena came back to the table and asked me if I wanted everything on one card. What kind of question is that? There s only one card there. This server should not be working at a fine dining establishment. Disappointing.

By far one of the best steakhouses I've been to. It was my birthday and they treated me like royalty. I ordered the deviled eggs, the mashed potatoes and a rib eye with the oxtail marmalade topping. My girlfriend got the pork chop with the mushroom and onion topping and sweet potatoes. The also hooked us up with some BBQ lamb Ribs (for free) which we had never tried. To top everything off, they gave me a huge three layer chocolate cake and complimentary champagne ! Our waiter Blake was freaking amazing. The coolest dude ever. EVERYTHING WAS SOOOOOO GOOD! Pricey so it's nowhere that we'll go every weekend but definitely worth every single penny we spent. Oh and they have complimentary valet parking. Everyone there were super sweet and helpful. I'll definitely be back.

Worst service I ve had at a steakhouse. Yes, they were busy, but it s Saturday and they should have anticipated that. Server was running the entire time and did not anticipate our needs. The food was good, but not worth $400. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere with your money.

Total disappointment from the high noise room level, undesired waiter sales pitches, lack of overall service competence, overwhelming staff to client ratio, extremely poor table lighting.
Theme song could be, "Rawhide".
Only saving grace was that the high price was good.
Bottom line, I will NEVER return.

Party of 3, we started with fried dumplings and deviled eggs. Dumplings were fantastic. Eggs were ok, a little too creamy. They then gave us rock shrimp by mistake, which was a little spicy, but good. I had smoked bacon salad, which was just ok. All 3 of us had prime aged ribeye, which looked like a piece of filet mignon. Honestly, it was ok. I think I would have preferred the filet if I was going to do it again. Sides were au gratin, which was very good, and brussel sprouts, meh. Service was very good. Overall, I've had better dinners at Nick and Sam's, but this was good.

Smells like sulfur! The atmosphere is very loud. You can barely hear the waitress. There is obviously NO dress code! I saw several people in workout clothes and tennis shoes. The menu almost has too many selections of meats and sushi. Don't go on a weekend because they use too many sparklers for celebrations and the restaurant ends up smelling like sulfur. Not very satisfying when eating an expensive steak or fresh sushi. The atmosphere reminds me of Chuck E Cheese for a upscale restaurant.

One of the frontdesk lady was not nice at all. While we were waiting in Que she makes us wait and take next peoples. Because we were all young and didn't wear suit or night dress. They didn't welcome us just like they did to other people. On top of that she told us to wait 3 hours or we can have dinner at the bar. What kind of service is that Smh. We didn't have any other choice other than waiting because it was one of our friend birthday. We payed more than $400. We didn't ask to get service for free. Only thing the food was good. The waiter was nice and he did give us a good service but I don't know why they didn't put our left over steak on our Togo bag when they do the other foods even if we told him to. Overall the food is good if they serve you good.

We went for Easter Brunch. It was amazing. They had just about everything. The food was great and there was a lot of it. For kids, they had face painting, coloring stations, a sundae station, and a lady making cotton candy. The cotton candy MAY have been overkill, but it was a truly fun experience. I would definitely recommend their brunch to anyone, especially for a special occasion.

Not a great experience. Booked a reservation back in June for a shared birthday dinner between my boyfriend and I. We felt extremely unwelcomed the minute we walked in, as no hostess acknlowedged us until I walked and stood directly in the front of the stand. Never in my life have I been in and out of dinner, let alone at a steak house, in an hour. We were extremely rushed. Given it was a Saturday and sure it was busy, but that needs to be accounted for when making reservations. The quality of experience will always trump the amount of guests to sit in an evening. The server himself was attentive and nice, but the time frame and rush left us with a horrible feeling of not being welcomed and as though I completely just wasted my time and money.

Oh- to add after reading these reviews, apparently birthday dinners receive a cake? I wouldn't be able to tell you that.

Horrible! I will never visit this restaurant ever AGAIN! The manager and valet gave me per hell. So rude and immediately racial profiled my party and I about a dress code whom they let numerous amount of people by us outside of dress code.

The steak was good, the side dishes lacked luster, and the service was non-existent but yet we still tipped over $150 for a party of 10, and cost of food upwards of $900. All 10 of us left thinking the steak was good but nothing about this experience was worth $1000.00. Nothing. The cake & cotton candy arrangements were great. Maybe this is a place you come to just for that. Everything else was a wash. Oh, last but not least, although we had reservations we still ended up having to wait 30-35 minutes to be seated. You know how well that goes over with small children. It doesn t.

We walked into the restaurant and had to listen to loud rap music which was NOT what i was expecting at a steak house of this caliber.
It also took 45 min to get a reserved table.
The steak was great, but the service was average at best.
For the price ......disappointing

Food is great as always. Had dinner here a few weeks back with some friends. They re service is impeccable. I also left my business phone at their restaurant. Can you believe they brought my phone all the way to my residence? Talk about service beyond par. I would recommend for food quality and service.

I am a filet mignon addict...and I have to say...that was THE best steak I've had to date. Definitely on the pricey side but worth it. I'm not sure what the cut was, but it was about $185 for 22oz off the bone. It came with a sauce and sauteed mushrooms...which were to die for! I didn't want that flavor to leave my mouth...ever. And to think we just happened to stumble upon this place looking for for a late meal close by.

The majority of the food was absolutely delicious [largest shrimp ever and three great salads]. Very crowded because it was Easter Brunch. Peeped a couple of celebrities: Cowboys Emmitt Smith and Mavericks Rick Carlisle. Tons of desserts on display [some tasty & moist; some dry, likely from long exposure on the tables]. The $65 pp charge...worth it! All other fees...biggg rip off. $15 for the partial [not even half full] glass of Mimosa, that was more juice than champagne, and $15 for the watery Bloody Mary. $3.95 for a small, ice-filled glass of soda. $30 per bill Service Charge, tip included. Not feeling the desire to return for any other special occasion.

Very nice atmosphere. Perfect if you love superior cuts of meat and seafood. Priced typical. After all it is a steak house. Great spot for celebrations! From sparkling candles lit up on top your favorite giant sized slice of dessert to fun filled cotton candy accompanied by toasts of champagne. You can't go wrong here. Friendly staff and Super Hot Manager lol. Hey boo

Restaurant was supposed to run at reduced capacity to ensure social distancing. Instead the restaurant chose to close the back room and call that "reduced capacity" and packed everyone in the main dining room. Pretty irresponsible in my opinion.

My wife and I had an extraordinary experience at Nick and Sam's. The service was amazing, the food was amazing, the drinks were amazing, the bill was not so amazing. We travel quite a bit and love to enjoy a good meal. For the occasion, Nick and Sam's did not disappoint. I would not recommend this place for an average night out, unless you are rolling in the dough, but nonetheless it was a very highly enjoyable experience.

I went to Nick and Sam's for my birthday with a small group of people. It worked out nicely that is was restaurant week (RW) so we all opted for the 3 course special menu.

We started out with cocktails from the weekend special menu and I loved my Summer Breeze bourbon cocktail.

In addition the the RW starter we ordered the charred octopus which was excellent. The octopus was cooked expertly (not rubbery) and the flavors were spot on. I would recommend the octopus to anyone. Everyone at the table went with the RW filet, which came with family sized sides of creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. We also ordered a half order of the brussels sprouts and a half order of the duck home fries. All the food was excellent and the steaks were cooked perfectly. For dessert, in addition to the RW options we ordered the weekend special of deep fried oreos which came with home made ice cream and whipped cream. The oreos were awesome and for one person in our group, it was their first time having deep fried oreos and they loved them.

Nick and Sam's is a Dallas staple and not just for steaks. I would recommend Nick and Sam's for any occasion and is always a great option for a romantic date.

Nick & Sam's is less a restaurant and more a dinning event. It offers top quality food at eye-popping prices. This is the place to go if entertaining (or being entertained) on a corporate budget.

First, the food is excellent. Appetizers are varied with strength in raw seafood, particularly lump crab. One of the things that distinguishes N&S's from other high-end steak houses is the quality sushi, which I prefer to order as part of an appetizer.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of steaks, all of which are prepared well. If you must select one, go with the long-bone cowboy.

Deserts are all strong. I recommend the molten souffle.

The only drawback is price. This is just about the most expensive steak house I have ever dined in. Prices for steak specials approached $200.

*Overall 4.5 Stars*

*Overall 4.5 Stars*

Decor: 4/5
-unlimited caviar bar
-bar is a bit loud to hold a conversation
-huge dining area for parties ranging from 2 to 12+

Service: 5/5
-valet complimentary, don't forget to tip
-Excellent presentation of the red meats along with explanations
-Extensive wine and cocktail list

Food: 4/5
-Sushi: Nick & Sam Roll, Park Cities Roll, Kung Pao Lobster Roll ranged from $22-25 each. My favorite was Park Cities cause it was warm. I felt neutral about the Nick & Sam Roll and was not a fan of the Lobster roll.
-Salads were nothing to brag about
-Oysters could use a bit better washing, I was biting into grains of sand
-Crab meat was delicious
-Chateaubriand $180 cooked medium rare - this was by far the most tender and leanest cut of steak I've had. Was it worth it? I can't answer that as this was a doctor's dinner.
-Sides: my favorite was the garlic mashed potato and cream of corn. My least favorite was the lobster fried rice - it was too salty.
-Finally tried the 100% kobe filet tenderloin @ $65/oz. insane amount of rich fat oils that coat your mouth and lips. I split the minimum 4oz and had trouble finishing the 2oz of kobe.
-Cowboy Long Bone Ribeye was delicious. Amazing in every bite. Is it worth an extra $70 on top of the boneless ribeye? No
-Lamb Chops were surprisingly flavorful and tender. I would definitely get this again

Went here for my daughter's 18th birthday. ambiance of this place is very good. I would recommend it for a couple or anniversary date.
Side dishes are SHAREABLE, we ordered to many! The greens, mashed potatoes and mac n cheese were all fantastic. Their pork chop however can't compare to Perry's!

The food and atmosphere here was absolutely amazing. You start off with a complimentary plate of bread, eggs, and caviar with some sauce to put on it which was just heavey. The steak entrees here were cooked perfectly and just melted in your mouth. The side dishes were very excellent as well.

I'm sorry that on tonight I did not have the best experience at Nick and Sam's Dallas Tx location. Upon arriving I was greeted by the welcoming valet and door lady. Tonight was special because I am a veteran AND also a personal trainer in the AREA. I was simply having food and a drink for myself on behalf of all veterans. However I was stereotyped by host as far as dress code and hat i wear for spiritual reasons. Soon as I was told i could NOT sit at the BACK bar because I had jeans on,20 caucasian men walked in with wranglers and boot cut jeans. I feel like if she would have been honest (the host) instead of telling me a bold face lie about policy dressed code IT MAY COULD HAVE BEEN OVERLOOKED... Instead I was pushed to the side. Upset, I asked to speak with management. I waited 10 minutes for mangers to come, never came!! I left because I was hungry. I had a long day of training. Ive eaten at Nick and Sams a few times before. Never have I had this problem. Wow! HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!

I've been to Nick & Sam's a dozen time. Taken many customers and spent lots of money at this venue. Typically, the environment is great. I've learned, unless you're bringing a big group, you will not given priority or treated well. I took my wife for our anniversary, the front table was not welcoming as we walked in. We were 15 minutes early for our reservation, we assumed they would seat us early. We were wrong, we waited around an hour for our table. Once our table was ready, they had us share a bench table with another couple. Clearly they over booked that night. I came so close to walking out multiple times. Disappointing when you give so many references and revenue $ to an establishment, only to be forgotten and treated with disrespect.

I want to start this review off by stating that the wait service was the highlight of the evening. The wait staff was exceptional. Very attentive and responsive. Again, the highlight of the night. The rest of the dining experience was a total disaster.

This was a business dinner and based on a late work schedule I had a reservation for 9pm. We arrived 15 mins prior tot he reservation and to our surprise, instead of what we expected, we found the atmosphere of the restaurant to be more of a nightclub than a restaurant. We checked in and were told to go to the bar area and a hostess would come find us when our table was ready. The bar was more than packed to capacity. The music in the bar was playing at a volume that made it absolutely impossible to carry on a conversation without screaming. I m absolutely amazed the fire marshal would safely allow the number of people packed in the bar area.

Our 9 o clock reservation came and went. We checked with the hostess every 15 to 20 minutes afterwards and were told that our table was getting near to being available. This went on until 10:45pm . The frustration level was very high and I have to say we were not the only ones feeling the frustration and pain. We encountered multiple patrons who too had waited over an hour past their reservation time. I can only imagine the stress your hostesses we re feeling because they were getting abused by patrons who were sick and tired of the treatment they were enduring. If you can t mange your reservations better, be more respectful to your patrons and don t offer the time slots. Simple enough.

We we were finally seated at 10:45, again the service was great but the meal was less stellar for a wait of that length. The appetizers was average at best, the steaks had no seasoning and little taste at all. We were very disappointed to pay the money we paid for this type of meal. I rated this establishment two stars just because the wait staff was excellent.

Two suggestions. If you want to be a night club, be a night club. If you want to be a high in restaurant, focus on that and be the best you can be. Otherwise, turn the music down, separate the bar from the restaurant, and don t offer reservation times you can t adhere to.

My now wife and I came here the day after our wedding and we're initially treated to a delicious sparkling rose, if you could tell me the name I'd be delighted. We were seated and attended to by Josiah and he was fantastic. He knew the ins and outs of the menu and was very knowledgeable about the different cuts of meat. We were treated just like everyone else even though we are so young. My steak was perfectly cooked and the fat was delectable. My wife's tuna was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the creme brulee at the end was delicious. We will gladly come back to enjoy another experience at this wonderful establishment. Thank you for the wonderful time.

Competent service, slightly obtrusive. No issue with being seated at reserved time. Totally unacceptable steak with inadequate trimming and poorer than Costco product coloured at home. Sides were tired and overcooked. Will not eat here again. Capital grill has always been excellent so this was a great disappointment. Also the desert menu was very mundane.

One of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. But I m disappointed to see reports they ve been flouting health guidelines on distancing, and now have multiple corona virus infections amongst their staff, it seems.

If management can explain or refute these reports of too-close tables and Covid cases, I d be happy to hear it.

We visited here for a birthday - we arrived about 10 minutes early and were seated about 30 minutes after our reservation time. We had a great time taking advantage of the caviar bar during this time.

We were seated comfortably in a booth, which was intimate, and the noise level was fine. Our server was beyond excellent. Unfortunately I don't remember his name, but he was a young man who had been there about 3 years. His recommendations were on point, he had an answer to every question, and he had a great attitude.

The food was incredible - everything we ordered was delicious. The only thing I didn't care for was the marsala sauce, but that was on the side anyway. The steak was buttery, the tableside presentation was perfect, the sides we ordered were all delicious accompaniments, and at the end our servers boxed all the leftovers up neatly.

The desserts were magnificent - the cotton candy was truly an impressive display. After taking one bite, we wanted to take the rest home - our incredible server packed us some fresh cotton candy instead to avoid any humidity issues. My husband felt super special here, and I can't thank the staff enough for making this a lovely occasion.
