Everything we had there was amazing. Our waiter Jackson was awesome! We went for my birthday, and the manager gave us complementary champagne. The ohmi and Kobe were incredible. We cooked the cuts ourselves over the hot stone setup. Truly delicious. Would highly recommend.

I hate that it wasn't a 5 star experience because that's what I was expecting but here's why it's two... We were greeted 3 times before we sat down with "hi what's the occasion" and that was it. It's like it was their response they had to ask which I get but just a little weird. Our waiter was a little too nice meaning he was at our table asking questions or trying to educate us on food options every 5 minutes (we already knew what we wanted) and even got into one of our conversations. I had two $15 mixed drinks, girlfriend had a martini and no buzz whatsoever. Steaks were great but were just room temperature when they came out. Lastly the layout is an open concept where you're looking into the kitchen that looks like an open buffet. Probably not coming back, sorry.

Decided to stop here for a bday gathering. As I sat down at the table where my friends were....a guy came over to tell me we don't wear hats in the dining area....he never announced if he was a manager, waiter, or any other title but of course I understood and took my ball cap off no problem. So as we are sitting there joking, laughing, and different conversations going on amongst friends....I glance over at the table next to ours and notice a guy wearing his hate....now I don't know if it was due to him being a different race, but the whole time the guy sat there noone said anything about his hat!!! As the night go on, at least 3 different people at our table(including myself) asked for their ticket so the bill could be paid and not have to deal with it later. Asian waiter said ok but majority of the time he was elsewhere and we barely seen him. Finally recieved the bill, instead of separating everyone's tab as asked....the ticket was all together, so there was another problem cause everyone had to figure out there portion 1 by 1. By the time it got to me....I paid my portion in cash then the waiter said I did not give enough. My tab came out to 40 then I gave 15 on top of that. So I asked why? The waiter said there is a 20% gratuity. I knew that was wrong and he wanted more, even though I still feel he doesn't deserve a tip due to we rarely seen him when someone needed something, but I kindly took the 55 back and gave a 100 and asked for change. Then he put the bill in his pocket then asked who was paying the rest of bill which had 62 dollars left. That blew everyone away cause everyone paid their portion plus gratuity. So the bday girl argued with waiter plus management for over 45min about the tab and how everyone paid. After that the manager basically wiped the 62 off the tab. After spending a good portion of my day burying a very close realtive....I definitely didn't want my night to end with an establishment telling me not to wear a hat but said nothing the other guy, or a waiter trying to con a group out of more money, or even watching a friend argue over a discrepancy. Nick & Sam's will definitely be on the bottom of my list to tell others about!!!

One of the better steakhouses in the country, no question. I lot of people will disagree with my rating and comments. Depending on ones preferences, they are probably right. That said, it is just steak and the seafood is better at Pappas and Trulucks.

If I am dropping $200+/head I rather have top-notch food and be able to hear my dinner companions.

The wine list is very good, and the mark up understandable for the location and setting. Service is as good as you would expect. My knock on this place is how noisy it is. If you are looking for a truly 'Dallas Experience' (air quotes) this is it. Business bros go here for the eye-candy and the see and be seen atmosphere.

This review is about a takeout order.

This review is about a takeout order.

I was surprisingly disappointed with my experience. I ordered through Nick & Sam s online portal and then called to see how long my order would take - 20-25 mins. So about 20 mins later as I was driving there, I got a call to clarify something on my order and was told me they hadn t even started yet and it would be ready in ANOTHER 30 mins. I let several staff know that I had arrived, because I was on a time crunch to get back home to work. I wait a long time and it wasn t until ANOTHER 20 minutes passed that I got my order. So a total of 70 mins instead of 20-25. I missed most of the meeting I had for work, and Nick & Sam s also gave me the wrong food in one of my side dishes. The food was fine but it did not make up for the bad experience. Was looking forward to bringing my boyfriend here to dine in person but will no longer be doing that. Bummer.

From the complimentary caviar and toast points to the perfect steaks, sides and deserts all via the handmade, tailored cocktails, this place is the epitome of a haute coture dining experience. Leave any considerations about your wallet or purse behind as it's fully in line with the experience it offers. The crowd is exactly what one would expect too... Dallas's most gilted! Try the waygu tenderloin or the chateaux briand; both were ezceptional.

The restaurant was super crowded but we were able to grab 4 seats at the bar. They play music in the bar area that covered every genre. Sometimes to loud but extremely fun. The food was excellent. The bang bang broccoli, tempura rock shrimp, cajun ribeye, crab cakes, and sirloin All very good. If you're looking for an intimate setting, make your reservations for the dinning room.

We came here because we wanted to try Wagyu Kobe, Hyogo prefecture (authentic) for our anniversary. Only a few restaurants in the US offer it, so we wanted to try it for the first time... WOOOOW JUST WOW! AMAZING!!! It is a whole experience!
Tastes was beyond our expectations. Obviously, it is expensive, but totally worth the experience. We'll come back again.

Fyi, the restaurant gets packed, and it is an indoor restaurant, so please keep in mind the COVID-19 regulations. This is the only thing that did not let us enjoy our experience to its fullest. Please be safe out there.

Went for dinner with friends on Friday night at 7pm after making last minute reservations via open table. Good cocktails and extensive wine list. Vegan option is off menu Kung Pao tofu. You can get it spicy but be prepared for it to be VERY spicy. Tempura vegetables come with it and were my favorite part. Tables are spaced very close together and that could be improved.

Awesome, fantastic, absolutely the best steak and seafood in the metroplex. Service is impeccable. Can be a bit noisy for dinner as they are typically packed and their patrons are in a really good mood. Topped the evening with a $400 king crab and wine you don't even want to price of, it was well, an evening of which stories are told and made. Whatever the highest rating is, that's Nick & Sam's.

Always wonderful with great service, flavor, & quality!

Impressed & Overwhelmingly Satisfied

I was impressed and overly satisfied with the service, the food, and the environment.

The environment was gorgeous and festive. Elegant and urban with comfort.

The steak, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach were all exceptional. They were all flavorful and well made.

The bread and caesar salad were ok. Not bad, just ok.

There was one negative of the night:
The smores dessert was devastating... in a bad way. it was so dry, bland, and boring that I was in shock as everything else was so outstanding. Do not try the smores dessert when you go

I'm rating this place as "it's okay" for a large n...

I'm rating this place as "it's okay" for a large number of reasons. First, let's start with the fact that I apparently don't know how reservations work. I set a 7:30pm reservation 3 weeks ahead of time and wasn't seated for 45 minutes after that 7:30 time frame. I swore a reservation meant immediate seating, due to the anticipation of an expected guest. Next we had a sprinkle of confetti put on the table for my bfs birthday and then ordered cocktails. His cocktail was amazing, I definitely recommend the old fashioned. It's filled with cinnamon and fall berries + your favorite top shelf whiskey. What you should do is not order the Zen cocktail. By the description I was expecting a green tea, sweet vegetal cocktail, what I got was basically Chicken Express tea with vodka. Needless to say I choked it down and didn't want another cocktail. Never serve a tea cocktail if you can't execute it properly. Yuck! Our food was delicious, the mussels are an amazing price for the serving size and the steak was impeccable. The sad thing was a cake was accidentally sent to our table with spaklers too early, which was meant for a neighboring table celebrating a birthday like us. We noticed almost all of the surrounding tables were celebrating birthdays and one by one they were served these gorgeous cakes with sparklers. Except for that is, us. I'm wondering why.... We spent $150 between 2 people and tipped 15%. Also it's VERY VERY dark in there and you can see into the waiters soul that they hate that steak presentation!!! --. And that is why Nick and Sam's is just "okay".

Very nice environment, great service. Food came to our table right after it was cooked. They don't let plates sit in the kitchen more then 30 seconds. Tried the Kobe steak for first time and was amazing.

Amazing steak and seafood restaurant. The service is always great, something you expect from a high-end restaurant. I've had steak several times and always prepared to my liking. If you're celebrating a special event let them know and they'll help make your evening memorable.

This place is a gem. My two visits here were phenomenal. The last time I dined here was in celebration of a birthday that was an absolute memorable experience, solidifying this 5 star review. First and foremost, the customer service was preeminent. I wanted to make this celebration momentous, so I asked for a few, very particular requests - a decorative table with confetti, the birthday melody played on the piano, a customized dessert for the occasion (I requested something chocolatey and decadent...see pics. This is nowhere to be found on the menu and was specially made for us). I had also requested that the birthday present be set at our table prior to arrival (special shout out to the manger, JEFF, who helped with the arrangements and semi outrageous requests with my demanding and needy self). Everything I asked for was granted with an A+ effort.

The restaurant itself is pretty spacious. The ambiance wasn't much I took notice of, but it's a moonlight setting that added a little intimacy element - an ideal spot for a first date.

The food...mwah. Keep in mind that I'm a vegetarian... yes, a vegetarian at a steak house. Don't let that discourage you from coming here if you are too, as the options are endless. We ordered so many items and not one of them were disappointing. I highly recommend the tofu. It's pan fried and sauteed in some kind of high quality, tangy, spicy sriracha sauce, topped with scallions and peanuts to add some crunch! This is not on the menu but they still have it available to order. I'm sorry, I can't speak for the meat in my own words and experience, but I can tell you that the folks I dined with were utterly satisfied.

The waiters/waitresses are very educated and know the menu like the bible, as well as their meats and specials. Take their recommendations if you're having trouble deciding from their lengthy novel of a menu. They know what they're talking about.

If you're looking to dine here, book a table in advance to guarantee seating, especially on a weekend - plan to book a minimum of 2 weeks out.

The food at Nick & Sam's is good, but its not the best steak in Dallas by a long shot. Decent choices in cuts, but every time I come my steak is a little too charred. I love a nice crust, but I also want to taste the flavor of a nice sear versus a carcinogenic piece of cardboard. The sides are small and nothing special. Their reservation system is pretty crummy as you are never seated on time unless you are VIP. This becomes irritating with business meetings or time constraints. If I go back Ill make sure to include "Dr." on my reservation. Try Pappa Bros., Knife, hell even Al Biernat's for a better experience.

Memorable dining experience! Fabulous food and service. If you are a new diner, the server will bring out a platter of meat to explain the cuts and make suggestions based on your preferences. We had caviar and a delicious selection of appetizers followed by lobster and our steak choices, including Wagyu, all of which was exquisite and fabulous. I do recommend making reservations early as this is a very popular weekend spot. Also, the music was very festive and eclectic, which I enjoyed. A few people were dancing. It was rather like a night club atmosphere. The one problem was that it was very loud. We were seated near the bar and it was a challenge to hear others at the table.

I went here last night to celebrate my mother s birthday. It was such a fun time! Our waiter Ed was very attentive and made sure my mother was getting the attention she needed, every time he left our table he slipped in a quick cheerful Happy Birthday. They have a great variety of surf & turf and apps. I absolutely recommend ordering the tuna tartare! I would say that their steaks and their WILD desserts are where they shine! Since we had a larger party we ordered the giant rainbow cake with the sparklers and the cotton candy. It was a cool fun and relaxing atmosphere!

I finally booked reservations for myself and my family after hearing great reviews. We attended the Easter Brunch. One word, "unimpressed." Another word, "disappointed."

Where to begin:
Crunchy porchetta, soggy belgian waffles, cold rubbery fried shrimp, soft fruit tarts, cold salmon on the hot bar, crunchy rice in the paella...and I will stop there.

The best thing was the face painting, balloon animals for the kids, and John our waiter.

Needless to say, I will think twice about this next time, or simply avoid the buffet .

As to be expected, this was a very pleasant meal. The service was fair for a party of our size. The room felt small and crowded at the time and there was little room to move around. Other than that, the meal was quite excellent. The steak was perfectly cooked but luke warm when it arrived; forgivable as it was busy. The sides were pretty good. Especially the lobster mac and cheese. The cocktails we're mixed well and unfortunately the server only checked on us twice so we only had the chance to order one round of drinks. At around $80 per plate it was a lovely meal with a few forgivable exceptions.

This was not a good experience. Christmas Eve with our family. We made our reservations in October when I realized not all of our family would be joining us in Dallas so I decided to make it a more intimate affair. Our Reservations were for 7 PM they called to confirm the time . We walked in at 7 and waited 1 hour to get our reserved table. Not one hostess smiled at us all evening even when they took us to our table. So they hate their jobs also? We get to our table the service was fine but some food was not turned in so once again we waited. All together I would never go back into this place again. The steaks were ok but I could grill them as well as they did. All of this for the special privilege of paying them over $500.00. We should of gone to Del Frisco's.

The food was good however, the place felt like it was running at full capacity even though there is an ordinance of only 75% capacity. People sat right on top of each other with no room to move about. Several staff members were not wearing masks nor were the customers required to wear one. Apparently this restaurant in Dallas, which is back at a level red, does not take COVID seriously and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a leading contributor to the spread. I would not recommend a place that laughs at the seriousness of COVID by blatantly ignores state mandates no matter how good the food might be.
