Excessive wait times for less than impressive dishes. Wouldn t call this fine dining, more like Chuck E. Cheese for well heeled singles. If I wanted to go to a venue where I needed to yell at my table guests in order to be heard, and see caravans of wait staff running neon-LED cotton candy with flaming sparklers to tables, I d go to Bottle Blonde.

My wife and I tried the bone in 22oz. Ribeye. It was horribly under cooked and the caviar and appetizers were awful. Super beautiful place but a horrible let down. Such a shame and really was a low point of our weekend stay.

Celebrated my birthday last night and it was perfect. The food was delicious and the service was great. They are on the pricey side, but you get exactly what you pay for, a nice steakhouse dinner in uptown Dallas with excellent service. I will definitely be returning here for other celebrations!!

NOTE: I only give it 4 stars because I personally cannot afford to enjoy this of my own accord.

Service - impeccable. Atmosphere - enchanting. Selection - impressive. They have a wide variety of cocktails, wine that I could fall in love with, the best calamari I've ever had (and I've had a lot), and a great, intimate private dining setting. I am lucky for my company treating me to such a wonderful dinner. I used to work in several high-end steak houses and this cuts through the fat (pun intended). Not a fan of some of the (I'm guessing cocktail waitresses) uniforms, but I can't say a word, when I did that I had to wear fishnets, form fitting, short skirt, heels, and a v-neck black shirt, so I get it, but I still get frustrated as you wouldn't ask your men to wear such clothes and I am all about employment equality all the way to the clothes (I know the tips must be great in those outfits though! Mine were!)

I wouldn't change a thing as far as steps of service and level of food! Great restaurant, and thank you for the wonderful experience all the people in my company had the opportunity to enjoy.

Great steak spot. Visited here with family from NY.

Drinks and bar section was very active when I went

We were a large group and I recommend
- cowboy steak (3 people shared it)
- tuna sushi
- asparagus
- mushrooms
- potatoes

The only side that wasn't great was the shoestring onions. Don't bother.

Otherwise, great steakhouse with very good service.

Went here for the first time last night for our Anniversary. They had a nice table on the outer edge of the room set for us, including rose petals in the shape of a heart. The manager stopped by right away to welcome us and brought us a champagne toast. E.J. was our waiter and I don't think we have ever had better service. When we come back, and we will, I am asking for one of his tables. Then entire staff was attentive, and we had one of those service ah ha moments late in the meal. A different waiter was walking past and notices a couple bread crumbs on the corner of the table. He stopped, grabbed his little scoop and off then went. He didn't say a word, or interrupt our conversation. Just simply saw a way to inconspicuously make everything that much better. And I haven't even talked about the food. That might have been even better than the perfect service. Started with one of their signature drinks and it was great. Then had a rainbow roll. I am from San Diego, so don't usually expect to get great sushi in Texas. Which is why I went with something pretty generic like a rainbow roll. The tuna on top was some of the freshest tuna I have had in a long time. We ordered steaks for dinner. I got the ribeye and my wife got the filet. Both were larger than we expected and cooked perfectly. The sides were also big. We got the garlic mashed, because I feel like its required with a good steak. And also the shoestring onion rings. The rings turned out to be a half order and we still took most of them home. The steaks were amazing, but I think I would come back just for the onion rings. Wrapped up the meal with the chocolate lava dessert. Super rich and also amazing. But no way for 2 people to finish it. Overall, one of the very best meals I have had and we are already planning our return with friends and family.

I need to start by saying we have never been here ...

I need to start by saying we have never been here before and my son is a 17-year-old with a traumatic brain injury. He can handle himself in public, but struggles to walk and you can tell he has special needs.

I made the reservation on Open Table and did my little write up letting them know my dad was going to be flying in from Florida and that we would be celebrating a special occasion. It s hit-or-miss with these things. Either the restaurant reads them or they don t. Either way, you know.

We get to the restaurant about 40 minutes early. We took an UberXL because we knew we would have wine and wound up being earlier than we thought.

Zero problem at all. They seated us immediately at a great table.

The server comes over, and just so you know, because you should request him, his name is ED LASRI. Remember this name, because this man is a saint. He gets us drinks quickly - and as my dad is ordering the wine, Ed tells us he is a sommelier so I was thrilled when he appreciated my dads choice! They ask about Florida, where he s from and all the things...and I realize they took my Open Table notes seriously. #Impressed

When Michael asked for a root beer, Ed tells us they don t have it. As my son struggled to come up with a new choice (probably under 10 seconds), Ed stops us and tells us I ll just send someone next door to get him some root beer. And ACTUALLY DID IT.

While we wait for the root beer, Ed brings out this MASSIVE board with every top cut of meat and kind of top quality fish they have in the place and thoroughly explained everything. Like...down to the smallest detail.

The root beer and wine make it to the table. The root beer is brought to us by the Operations Manager, who literally bought every single kind of A&W Root Beer AND cream soda they must have had at the store. He presents them like wine to my son, who is in shock at this whole production. I d like to show you this 2019 Cream Soda, brought to you by A&W..and I would add this is my top choice.

I mean. My heart, guys. My heart.

Michael chooses and they offer to put the other FIVE bottles on ice for him. AND THEY DO.

Apps are next, and for whatever reason, they read my mind and say they are bringing us complementary caviar and I die right there because this is my favorite indulgence. On EARTH.

Dad and I decide we are going to split the chateaubriand. Aaron gets the veal, Kenzie and Michael get their own filet mignons. We also get some sides to share and when we question the fries, Ed offers to put down just a half order-special.

The meal comes out and we are already enjoying the amazing service and the impeccable apps. (Caviar? BALLLLLLLLER.) I do my thing as special needs mom and start cutting Michael s steak.

Ed stops me right there and says No, ma am, please allow me to do this for him.

GUYS. MY HEART CANNOT TAKE IT.

Ed cut my sons filet for me and treated him like. A. KING.

We enjoy dinner immensely. In 5 years, to the DAY, living in DFW, this was hands down the best steakhouse I ve ever been. Ever.

So, it s dessert time. Menu comes out and we are struggling to pick.

Ed, my new hero, comes over and tells us the baked Alaska s mores will feed the whole table and we agree that s a good idea! Complimentary bonus #2 appears as some of the best Tawny Port I have ever tasted.

The baked Alaska comes out immediately following our port, and Ed brings out some sort of massive cotton candy thing with cookies and dry ice that fills the table to elevate the experience.

You think it ends there? No.

After we are all filled to the brim and taken care of like some sort of royalty, Ed boxes up here cotton candy, the leftover bottles of root beer AND gets EXTRA candy and cookies for my son to take home.

Request Ed Lasri when you make your reservation. I am saying a special prayer of thanks for this man who truly was an angel on earth and made my sons entire night for no other reason than he just loves to be in service.

Came in tonight to celebrate Christmas Eve and my birthday (on Christmas Day). Table for 2. We were seated away from everyone, except from some loud people behind us. The waitress did not offer us bread and the appetizers came before we even ordered the main course. The steak was decent but the sides were just plain bad, and had no flavor. The waitress never came to check on us, and she didn t even ask us if we were celebrating a special occasion. When I ordered the rainbow cake and mention that it was for my birthday, she didn t even knowledge it, not a happy birthday from her. Food was way overpriced and service lacked professionalism and care. Will not be returning to this place and would not recommend to anyone.

I had heard great things about this place, so I wondered if it could possibly live up to my expectations. Actually, it exceeded them! The environment, food, and service are impeccable. Favorites at my table were the Oysters Rockefeller, the Ribeye, and the mushrooms.

I do not usually submit reviews; however, I feel I must. Friday, October 17 my husband and I hosted two other couples at Nick and Sam s. We have been celebrating special occasions there since it opened. Up until Friday, it was our favorite. They have fallen off our list of places to go, much less celebrate. We had 6:30pm reservations and the restaurant confirmed probably three time. The last confirmation was at 6:15 for our 6:30 reservation. We arrived right on time and were escorted to a busy corridor to wait while our table was put together, not set, but making the size right, gathering the chairs etc. The had knew we would be there, yet we were standing in the middle of the restaurant dodging servers and other guest. After we were sat, they began setting the table. This consisted of an employee walking around dropping silverware near each guest. In my opinion, they should have placed the silverware in its proper place, not in the middle of the table for us to guess who got what. Next our server took our drink or and was moving so fast he didn t get half of it correct and had to go back to the bar. We asked the sommelier to fetch the Manager. After ten minutes the manager never showed up, we asked the waiter to get the manager, another ten minutes. Finally, my husband went and found the manager to voice our concerns with the service and the lack of any social distancing and the fact that not all wait staff was properly wearing masks. We were moved to a different table that was much better. We had to asked twice for the table to be cleared of glassware. The table was never cleared of crumbs. The evening was hectic and not relaxing. The main courses and salads were very good (hence the two stars), but everything else distracted from the experience. Finally, we ordered dessert to celebrate and the waited sat a quarter of a cake in front of me, lit the cake and left. I had to call him back to serve the cake. As we left there were 15 20 people waiting for their cars; none with masks on. For the price point, this evening was a disaster. I no longer recommend Nick and Sam s there too many other excellent steak houses to have this poor of service.

Best customer service I've ever had. Best Spicy Tuna roll I've ever had. Best spicy ponzu sauce I've ever had. My steak was a bit overcooked they brought me another one with no hesitation. The desserts here are top notch. Fantastic atmosphere I will definitely recommend Nick & Sam's to everyone I know.

I m so impressed! AMAZING in every aspect. I have to say I ve been very spoiled and very critical on restaurant experience. I ve been in best known restaurants in Montreal, Dubai, all of California ( trying all Michelin restaurants), Moscow, Europe, Ukraine and some other states in the USA. This one is the best in terms of service. You just feel good here. They take care of you. Now, I ve dined here by myself, twice. Trust me, they make No difference whether you are by yourself or in a big group, having just a desert or a full meal..you will be their most important guest. Not too many restaurants in the world can achieve this. The reason for such high performance is managements input. Here all of the employees work as one team. A manager comes to the table to accompany the server in opening the wine and chatting with guests. The servers know everything, from ingredients in every sauce to the quality and parts of the meet. The hostesses are nice too. Special thanks to my server Santino, managers Skyler and Enoc.
If I didn t mention the food yet, it s just because it s amazing!

I. Love. This. Place! I can't wait to go back. Our waitress (Sarah) was so awesome and very patient. She knew exactly what to suggest and everything was great! My date and I both got a ribeye with lobster mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. We also got a salad with mozzarella and nuts (?) That I would have never chosen but thanks to Sarah my stomach was not disappointed. We got complimentary caviar that actually wasn't bad. The best dish: the captain donut! 2 parts whiskey and 1 part maple syrup. 3 words: TO. DIE. FOR!! Please check this place out, you won't be disappointed. Need an eating buddy? Contact me. Lol

Words cannot explain the joy I feel my first time eating here! My friends an I came to celebrate a birthday. The front desk staff was so accommodating and friendly, even though our party was smaller upon arrival and we requested table change. They don't allow balloons inside the dining area so they held on to them for us after letting us take pictures. I absolutely loved all the food, I swear I was full and sleepy but a good sleepy after I ate. My friends and I were already planning our next visit. Our waitress Ashley was pleasant and very informative, enjoyed her service and company. Great recommendations! This is a fancy nice place for family, friends, date night, or sit at the bar solo. I simply dont recall the last time I ate so good. Prices are alittle up there but WORTH IT. :)

The food was good but the host and valet where a little off putting. Maybe because I walked in wearing Jean's and a ball cap. The bar staff was nice and the food was well prepared. A little on the snooty side for me and I've been to the best steakhouses around the world.

By far top 5 meals I've ever had. I've been there 3 times (every time I've visited Dallas this year). The ambiance, quality of food, and service is among the best I've ever received. I cannot say enough positives things about this place. If you're looking for a perfect night out, you've found the right spot.

This was our first experience at Nick & Sam's, and we probably should have picked a first time other than New Years Eve. Fair warning, most of my complaints are minor, but being this is one of the most expensive restaurants in Dallas, we expected better. We got seated next to an emergency exit and the Sprinkler Room door. There was a cold draft from the door and it was impossible for us to take a photo without one of the doors inn the background. Also, with my wife being pregnant it felt like we had been labeled a cheap table and got a lot less service than surrounding tables.

We got the smoked salmon and crab cocktail. Both were great but there wasn't much crab in the cocktail. I ordered the long bone dry aged ribeye which was really good but not $105 good. My wife ordered a medium rare filet and it was overcooked. They took it back and cooked it longer, third time she got a new steak that was closer to rare but we were not going to do it a fourth time. Plus it came back without the sides that had been put on it.

After saying something to the manager, he replaced our sides free of charge and threw in a couple great deserts including the eye catching blinking cotton candy as well as an amazing molten cake. This is why I gave them four stars, because they did make efforts to repair the steak mistake.

Overall we will definitely try here again, but fit the prices we expect near perfect.

Sauced Jacket

Sauced Jacket

I went to Nick & Sam s last night to celebrate my wife s birthday and it was every bit as advertised.

Valet was prompt and the ambiance was very nice. We sat in the main dining area that was very busy was was still at a comfortable volume to hold conversation at our table. Our serve Santino was great, had recommendations and didn t miss a beat when we needed anything.

I ordered the dry aged NY Strip and it was cooked to perfection. I would recommend the garlic mashed potatoes and/or the broccolini as sides. Also the Mac and cheese was very good.

There s a great drink selection and the manager even gave us some complimentary champagne and caviar given thee occasion.

Towards the end of our dinner our server was clearing the table and spilled some sauce on my sports coat. I felt bad because he was so bothered by it. He got a warm towel and did his best to clean it. Management came over and gave me their card and said they would reimburse me for any and all damage to the jacket which I told them then and emailed them today, saying that it was necessary and the gesture alone was good enough for me (hence the title)

I will definitely be returning to the place that offered me the best dining experience thus far in my tenure in Dallas.

The steaks are awesome. I have had better but this was exactly what you'd expect from an upscale steak house. My wife and I took her dad here for his birthday and our waiter (Ed, I think) hooked us up with free champagne to celebrate. All our steaks were ordered medium rare and they came out perfect. Had brussels sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes as sides and both were very good. Solid wine selection as well. Very expensive but that is obviously expected at a place like this so prepare yourself ahead of time for that so there are no surprises... Only real complaint would be that it is very noisy. The tables are pretty close together and the kitchen is open to the main dining area so it is just a loud place in general. They had a pianist playing but you couldn't even hear the music over the racket which was kind of disappointing. Regardless, solid upscale steak house near Uptown Dallas. Would definitely do it again for special occasions but there are others in town that are just as good.

This place was phenomenal. I wanted a great steak and I was treated to probably the best steak I have ever had in my life, Chateaubriand. For dessert, I had the captain donuts. The menu is full of other e pensive cuts, including waygu beef. The sushi and seafood selection also looked delicious.

If your picky about your food and service. This is the spot. My wife took me for my birthday. We had a 5 course meal. It came with lamb, sea food, pasta, steak and much more. The appetizers where great too. I'm a steak lover. Usually i go to texas road house. But this place has them beat. Their service and food are more than great, I have no complaints. It is a bit noisy because of so many people but other than that I would highly recommend it.I had a great experience for the 1st time I was there. O and their bartender makes great margaritas.

The restaurant was very upscale and a must try. The food was phenomenal and the service was by far the most classy. They do very well with their presentation on the cuts of steak that you see before it is cooked for you. We had different plates that where complementaries of the chef. The atmosphere was high-social and the is an experience you should all at least try. Very impressed and will go back again. Need I mention that this restaurant also feature Japanese A5 grade Wagyu Steak. Bravo! I d be glad to come over to have it again soon.

VERY active restaurant. I would give it five stars but it is loud. Made it difficult to carry on a conversation.
The food is outstanding. It was hard to get to the main course. Sharables are all great and there are sharable main courses. Hipster crowd, good food and solid service.

I actually liked this restaurant, the food is incredible, plus the shower rooms were clean. It was a little chilly indoors, really was not the very best. The food serve is excellent as well. I will definitely consider going back once more if I ever land the possibility. Me and my pal ordered the combo and we were not let down. My one tip is to maintain the cold exterior. Come again!

Wow! This place is amazing. I mean you will drop a pretty penny, but it's worth it. Best steak I think I have ever had. The service was spectacular. The s'mores baked Alaskan was on point. I would say they need a bigger selection of cheaper wine, cheapest bottle was 40 dollars. Besides that I loved it. Great place for your anniversary!!!

All the meats are beyond delicious! The service at the establishment are also top of the line, but then again, given the price, it is service one would expect. Probably the only negative is how dim and dark the lighting was. The waiter and waitress literally whipped out their flashlights while we were ordering just so we could even see the words on the menu. Nevertheless, it was still overall a wonderful experience!

If you know about fine steaks you would agree that there's definitely more hype than delivery here. The social media smugginess drove me away for a while until I had to attend a birthday dinner.
First impressions look great, but everything is way overpriced for the quality. In our group we got salmon, filet mignon, lobster, sushi, an assortment of appetizers and I got the tomahawk shown below.
Honestly, the salmon was the only item worth the price. Tomahawk, worth it, but for the price it kinda had to. Filet mignon (cooked medium) and lobster were average, not with the $100.
Sad to say that even the drinks were pricey for the taste/quality.
This is not a bash, just my honest opinion. The main point is that for "fine dining" or at least what we paid for... should had left us impressed and satisfied. This did the opposite.
I guess it's a good place to go and take your Instagram pictures though.
