My boyfriend and I came here just because we were in town and love history. We were a little sad at how sort of run down and empty it seemed. I know they don't have a lot of funds at their expense at this time, so I understand it. There were lots of interactive kids activities and shows. We took the Blue Tram Tour and we were sadly underwhelmed. This was what I was excited for, and it was just underwhelming. We didn't take the Red tour. We went to both of the gift shops and those were good, even though the website says they have Star Wars items and we did not see anything Star Wars. We searched but nothing, my boyfriend is a big Star Wars fan and was disappointed. We spent 2 hours there and left disappointed it didn't take longer. The workers were friendly and we parked close. Go once if you are interested, but I would try to find the biggest discount I could because it's not worth $30 plus $5 parking in my opinion.

A MUST visit to this place if you love space and space shuttles. Commuting is slow as tram service is not adequate during weekends and holiday season. Loved to see the details of Apollo, Discovery missions. Sad to see the challenger debacle. The gift shop is nice.

When you come to Houston, be sure to visit the NASA Space Center here. It is recommended to stay here for a day if you are interested, and take a good tour of each itinerary. There are two tours to experience!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! Incredible NASA actually allows its name to be associated with this pathetic excuse for a glimpse into the space program. Never been so disappointed in my life! WAY TOO MUCH money for this experience. Even the TRAM thing sucked beyond measure!! I'm ashamed of NASA! This was the biggest waste of money I can imagine. The space museum in Mcminnville OR is TOTALLY better than this & it's a fraction of the price! Honestly Houston & NASA & Texas... you should be ashamed of yourself!

A definite must see in Houston, Texas. When you visit the Space Center, make sure to go before the last tram tour to ensure you have the best experience. There are two tram tours, one that sees mission control and the other that sees the training facility, you can go on both, but will need to wait in line for each one. The Saturn 5 Rocket is on both tours.

One of the most important places in the space industry. At the Johnson Space Center you can visit the facilities, laboratories, the Neutral Buoyancy Lab pool and mythical and gigantic Saturn V. All the facilities are spectacular, worthy of an agency like NASA. The museum is full of models, simulators, historical ships and lots of information. It is without a doubt a dream for anyone who is fond of space and aeronautics.

We were kicked out of the tram tour because my toddler was too noisy. It was an injust moment, because we were asked to leave and a group of priviledged adults were speaking louder than my son and this group of course could do as they wish. Another child of Asian decent, about 9 mos., was also asked to leave. In the back of my mind, it was unbelievable and the tour guide should just quit.

This place is awesome, amazing history and tours, plus tons of interactive stuff for people of all ages. There is so much to see. You could easily spend all day here and not run out of things to do. Also, the gift shop is incredible, a staggering variety of shirts, mugs and more. Cafeteria better than expected!

Was really excited for NASA but was really dissapointed because I spent one and a half hour to line up for the tours. Do your research before you come to NASA, try your best not to come during crowded days. Was surprised the cafeteria food was good. At least the gift shop had great products

Try to get free passes either online or near entrance. So you don't have to stay in line for blue, orange or red team. The tram tours are most interesting part of visiting nasa and with no wait vouchers it can be easily covered in one day.
There is also a huge ass screen which shows pretty cool sci-fi astonauty movies
The food isn't that great inside nasa cafeteria.

We had purchased the Houston city pass and this place was one of the options available in that. For anybody who loves space and rockets, this place is a must visit. The place is maintained ok. There are two tram tours which needs a long wait time. I found the Red tour more fun than the blue. The independent plaza is a must visit in this place. Cafeteria has some decent food with lot of seating space. the children s play area may need a little more maintenance.

Excellent exhibits but let down by poor signage and poor customer service, especially the tram when boarding is 20 mins early but there doesn't appear any instruction on either the boarding area or the requested timed entry (if you book one online or via service on-site) they just ignore that and if you miss out they Dont care you just get left standing in a line. Typical American tourism

In order to just take a picture of something saying NASA or a "fake" rocket you need to pay between 5 and 10 usd. For me this is a robbery and made me really disappointed after driving all across Houston.

Not recommended u less you can spend the whole day there

an incredibly tour, lots of history and science, great movies and mini lectures, the gentleman that toured the Saturn V rocket really knew his stuff and had some great personal stories, be prepared fro a full day so as not to rush through everything, it would be nice if the attractions for the kids were lumped right on top of everything else you feel like you are going to nail of the youngsters or have them slam into you, food court is a little pricey, the kids who work there are friendly and helpful, order tickets on line and save a few bucks

It is completely and utterly over priced in every aspect of the word. However, it really is something you should see if you visit Houston. There are all kinds of different exhibits and videos to watch. The tram tour is really cool and the overall experience is different each time I go. I saw an amazing Leonardo Di Vinci Exhibit once and then the most recent time it was covered in children from South America building robots. They should really bring down the price or offer some very deeply discounted days.

It is an incredible place., NASA's Johnson Space Center is the right place to learn more about the life of astronauts in space and everything related to advances in aerospace technology. There are guided tours and gift shop to bring you a nice memory of your visit, the prices are quite accessible and the attention is excellent.

Imagine if you could control the International Space Station for a day afterwards I wrote an essay on the planet Venus and sent it to a popular magazine, paid to write article.

Not too happy. There is a lot to see and one day is hardly enough. There are several things that are really annoying. First, I m ok with paying an entrance fee to cover cost but there is a continuous effort to nickel and dime. They try and sell you a picture, they have included tours, but extra cost tours, and extra cost activities. Space exploration is expensive and we the tax payers are footing the bill. Why are they unable to show the tax payer what they are getting for the money. It is a great story but cheapened by this approach. It is worth seeing but seems to be poorly managed.

This is a must see destination if you are in the Houston area.
The Shuttle Independence on the back of the 747 transport is an awesome new exhibit.
The tour of the old mission control, mock up of the space station/testing facility as well as the Saturn 5 rocket is well worth it.
You get to see many one of a kind exhibit in the main building.
There are plenty of things for smaller children to see and do here as well.

Okay parking, but ridiculously high ticket prices!! Sounds like a fun experience to learn more about NASA, but the employees seemed clueless when asked questions. Poor looking exhibits, and overall a huge waste of time and money.

The space center itself is an educational gem. But Houston we have a problem and it's the centers tram, if you plan to take the tram plan on spending two hours waiting in line before you even get on the tram. For such a technological company they failed miserably with the tram.

It's a beautiful place but staff is very rude and unpolite. I think they are stressed because the place is always crowded. You have to wait for more than an hour to get a tour and gift shop is nice but salespersons there are very rude with children. I think they need to pay attention the way they treat people, specially children, because they are very unrespectful. Very dissapointed!!!

NASA is an amazing experience for tourists and Texas natives alike. If you love space or are even interested in learning new information, NASA is the place to visit. Their is exhibits are fun, interactive, and educational. They offer a tram ride to the old mission control which is a super neat experience about the history of NASA and space exploration. Also, for a little extra money you can meet, take pictures with, and have lunch with an astronaut that has been into space. I would highly reccomend this experience because it was super cool, highly informative and entertaining. The astronaut will answer questions and usually talks about the future of NASA. Overall, NASA is a must do experience if you are in Houston!

Very educative place to bring kids. Buy our tickets from Fiesta and got big discount. The tours are free, but you can save your time from waiting in a long line by scheduling your tour ahead of time when buying your tickets.

It was beautiful and exciting to be there! So many things to see ... Impossible not to remember the famous phrase: "Houston, we have a problem", although the original phrase is "Houston, we've had a problem here".

As everybody said here, an overpriced museum. Old simulators, hopefully they can upgrade them to a high definition so that they can be more realistic. The tour across the labs, and control center let me see and understand why the NASA cost so much: waste everywhere. Talking about manufacturing concepts NASA really needs to start a Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing program across all of their operations instead of charging so much for the entrance. I am pretty sure that Lean and 6S could lead to avoid big amount of money wasted and also avoid the tragedies of the Challenger and the Columbia. If they want to continue on the space exploration, they need to be more cost effective so reducing wastes is essential and 5S is a good start. Now I know that NASA went to the moon because the excessive money expended and not because they were a very efficient team. At least I hope the Lunar rock that we are allowed to touch is cleaned and disinfected everyday and is not black because all the grease and dirty of the people who touched it.

I went to the Johnson Space Center today and was a bit disappointed, the main plaza is fairly small and there is very few exhibits, the few exhibits that are interesting to technical inclined people are surrounded by smelly indians and selfie stick wielding japanese that don't watch the exhibits with their own eyes but through their camera lenses, it all takes away from the experience greatly. For me personally the most interesting thing was the Mythbusters exposition, I freaking love that show and it was great to see some of the stuff the build up close and personnel. I've red some positive reviews about the tram tour so I took the blue route, this was gonna take over 45 minutes and there were no restrooms during that 45 minutes. The tour was pretty boring because the only thing you really see is the exterior of not so interesting office buildings. the only interesting things were the command center with little speech from a teenager crew and the Saturn 5 rocket which is huge, but not a single sign that told anything about how the saturn 5 rocket works.

The food is insanely expensive, all employees extremely young teenagers and a lack of interesting exhibits for technical inclined adults
