Nice place to visit, enjoyed Bush Jr.'s talks about astronauts on the tour..although they still deny any extraterrestrial activity, manipulation or contact.... or anything of that sort during the tours which is amusing.

Just awful. 1-3.5hour wait times on everything & no security to stop people pushing in by using elevators or going in the back entrances .The lines were so long they went into the main hub which made seeing the exhibits and moving anywhere extremely difficult & frustrating. The layout is confusing and the overall functionality is poor. I dont write poor reviews but after spending 6hours and only getting through 2 lines this needed to be said.

This was our whole reason for our trip to Houston....

This was our whole reason for our trip to Houston. We visited with kids ages 3, 9, and 14. They all had a blast. We got to see the Mission Control and a special work area from two different tours. Plus the inside was really great to learn and have fun. The staff was very helpful and told us to take the tours first. The food court was a little expensive but we brought our lunch. They let us go back out to the car and get it and eat in the food court.

Awesome museum, I m losing my breath trying to explain to friends and family everything that I learned. The tours are very informative and employees always take time to answer your questions. Definitely take advantage of the presentations as well, we caught an ISS one and a talk with an astronaut and both were really cool.

Great place to inspire kids, many fun stuff for them to explore in space science. It is wonderful to learn the astronauts' work and daily life in space, and get some ideas about how those fantastic job be accomplished.

Wow compared to the one in Florida this was boring...

Wow compared to the one in Florida this was boring as hell. The movie, the animations, even the Simulator you need to pay extra for was a joke. And they ask an extra 6 $ for the parking. I don't see the hype. You love space and nasa go to Florida.

What a joke. Visited in December 2016 and again in June 2018. June 2018 experience: TRAM is a JOKE! Long lines, totally not worth it. Reminds me of the McDonald's of hamburgers, exhibits are outdated. Makes one believe that NASA is painfully far behind in technology and innovation when compared to private space enterprise. Nothing but a tourist trap, no not waste your time. Not STEM oriented, more like a poorly planned amusement park atmosphere. Regret the time and effort I spent to visit. As a scientist, I think NASA needs to be realistic and admit they are eons BEHIND! Space Station, why spend more on the floating outdated piece of junk. Reality check, the experiments can now be performed on our Mother Earth under simulation.

This country still has a great unmanned space program. But I can't believe that there is no more manned spaceflight. That's what this this place was built for.

Excellent place, in your stay in Houston you can not miss a visit to this wonderful place full of magic and technology for adults and children, large park areas, tickets are reasonable and therefore very welcoming and excellent service, they are pending your doubts and concerns !!

We attended the Saturday celebration, Apollo 11 50th Live. Arrived approx 11am. Lines to get in went smooth and that was the only thing. Once in we headed to the Family Stem pavilion, all of the virtual interactions had LONG lines, hey I expected that, we waited and there was issues with the interactions which made our long wait even longer. We did one. Headed inside walked around, headed to food court to grab a bite to eat. What a mess! You were planning this for how long? Super disorganized! Lines to get something to eat were about an hour long. Ice machines were broken, so they had buckets of ice on a cart which were causing condensation to spill on to the floor in front of the refreshment machines. Yeah you had a caution sign out but that's not going to cause no slip and fall accidents. Matter of fact my foot slipped while walking way. Then watching hundreds of people stick their hands in these buckets and touch the ice with bare hands, so nasty, decided didn't need ice. Finally sat down with my husband and son to enjoy our meal. It was pretty good food! Then we headed outside to do a Tram tour. Big mistake! In line for over an hour to get on the Tram because of some type of delay. Nobody knew what was going on. I was told by a team member, I just work here, sorry for the delay. Got to rocket park and was told we had to be in line for other tours by 5pm it was 445pm. Was directed by a team member to go to a line for the Astronaut training facility. Waited in that line to find out it was the line to return to the main center. Literally ran to the other line but couldn't get out of the building because there was a live interview going on. Made it in line at 459pm. Just in time! Phew! Saw the training facility, pretty awesome stuff! Got back to main facility and had to use the restroom. Yucky, very dirty (again i understand with the amount of people there). My husband decided he wanted a snack but there was only 2 restaurants open, it was only 630pm. Those lines had doubled in wait time. You even had the snack bar closed. The vending machining wait was approx 30 min. You had been planning this event for a while and i know you anticipated thousands of people, I'm so surprised at how disorganized it was. We made our way outside to sit under a tent with fans, it was so much cooler outside. It was very hot inside, too many people to keep it comfortable for all. We were still hungry so we headed outside because we had seen a food truck, we waited in line to be told that they were out of food. My problem is this. You have guest that have medical problems such as hypoglycemia, they will need food or a snack. We made our way to a tent to watch Phillip Phillips, i used the air conditioning portable restrooms, thank you for providing those. They were cool and so much more cleaner than the inside ones. We continued to wait for the countdown suprise. 945pm finally came and my son was so excited. 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1... the celebration was on... we waited all day and spent well over 250 dollars for 20 seconds of fireworks. How disappointing. We left immediately after. While walking to the truck my son started crying from the disappointment and the lack of being able to do things. That broke my heart. Too many tickets were sold in my opinion. I would much rather have been disappointed with not being able to get a ticket than in this manor. Thank you for your time.

Love visiting JSC. They do a fantastic job presenting history but also the future missions. The traveling exhibits are great which makes me want to come back even more. Keep up the great work.

We just returned from the space center. We heard over and over that the center was non-profit, but when we went to the food court we were slammed for $100 for food for 6. The smallest drinks were $3.25, salads, $8.29, dreadful sandwiches were $8.29. Bus loads of school children ran from a hot ride on the train to get something and left again after seeing the prices and in the middle of the day with just half of the tour completed, let's just say they have you at their mercy. Shame on you!!!!!!!!!!

When I went here in 2007, I had a very fun time. At the time I was 5, but all of the activities were exciting. My best memories were getting to see the inside of a rocket and a replica of the space shuttle or was it the real one. Idk but it was still awesome. I also remember getting stuck in the elevator in the kid section because I had no idea how to work an elevator because my parents would always push the buttons, but it was still an AWESOME time I had as a kid with family.

Outstanding facility that accounts for the historical events of NASA's history(Apollo, Mercury, Gemini and Space Shuttle). If you are in the Houston area this is a must see. A++ and recommend!!!

I don't have any space buffs in my house, but we still went to visit. And, we're glad we did! We had an amazing experience on both tram rides. The astronaut training facility, mission control, and rocket park were by far the best. Plus, we tried the astronaut ice cream from the gift shop. Pretty good! This was definitely an experience that the whole family enjoyed. If we lived closer I'd have paid the $9 extra for an annual membership.

If you're from Houston, love Texas, and have never...

If you're from Houston, love Texas, and have never visited here, I'm gonna say a prayer for you. Okay, well maybe I won't go to those extremes but you should definitely check it out at least once even if you aren't "into space" stuff. There's just so much to read, learn, and see here.

Expect to make the best of it so try to spend at least half of your day here especially if you want to do the tours (they offer 2) which I recommend doing so.

What to Expect:
- A long drive there if your'e coming from the city.
- Lots of walking (yaay to cardio)
- Big crowds during peak times
(or all the time really)
- You'll have to wait sometime for the tour trolley(s)
- Spend over an hour on the tour(s)
- Climb numerous stairs during one of the tour(s)
however, there is an elevator if needed.
- Learn lots about space, its history, and see cool
giant stuff.

Recommend:
- Arriving early
- Not visiting during Spring Break or Holidays
- Wear comfy shoes
- Bring your own lunch. Everything is price $$$.
(yes, they sell food there but I am a vegetarian so I prefer to bring my own lunch. NO OUTSIDE FOOD is allowed inside however, you are able to re- enter with a stamp so I left my PB&Jelly in my vehicle and came outside to eat it. I had a mini-picnic by a tree and it was peaceful.

We did not have kids with us but expect majority of patrons to be families with hyper kids and lots of energy. With that said, YES, I would still recommend going.

This is always a great time. Just be patient and enjoy the things around you. Yes, it is crowded. Yes, it does have a ton of stuff you can buy. There is tons to see, do, and touch. Go explore.
