Hi There Review of NASA Johnson Space Center

If you're from Houston, love Texas, and have never visited here, I'm gonna say a prayer for you. Okay, well maybe I won't go to those extremes but you should definitely check it out at least once even if you aren't "into space" stuff. There's just so much to read, learn, and see here.
Expect to make the best of it so try to spend at least half of your day here especially if you want to do the tours (they offer 2) which I recommend doing so.
What to Expect:
- A long drive there if your'e coming from the city.
- Lots of walking (yaay to cardio)
- Big crowds during peak times
(or all the time really)
- You'll have to wait sometime for the tour trolley(s)
- Spend over an hour on the tour(s)
- Climb numerous stairs during one of the tour(s)
however, there is an elevator if needed.
- Learn lots about space, its history, and see cool
giant stuff.
Recommend:
- Arriving early
- Not visiting during Spring Break or Holidays
- Wear comfy shoes
- Bring your own lunch. Everything is price $$$.
(yes, they sell food there but I am a vegetarian so I prefer to bring my own lunch. NO OUTSIDE FOOD is allowed inside however, you are able to re- enter with a stamp so I left my PB&Jelly in my vehicle and came outside to eat it. I had a mini-picnic by a tree and it was peaceful.
- Sign up for their newsletter on-line. They sometimes offer a $5 off coupon per person
We did not have kids with us but expect majority of patrons to be families with hyper kids and lots of energy. With that said, YES, I would still recommend going.
