I was praying after what I went through with the Money Store and their ignorance on how to actually do a home loan, that they were not the actual bank that gave us the loan. Turns out MLD and the Money Store are the same and now I am in a 30 year relationship with them. I have never experienced a bank where when I need to call them, no matter what extension you pick, there is no one physically there answering the phone to help you. You must leave a message and wait and pray they call you. I haven't even made my first payment yet, bc they haven't sent me a statement, and I'm already going through a headache. Everyone thinking about using this company run! This is no way to run a bank and they should be reported and have their rights taken away!

The Money Store was great to work with. The process was seamless with their app, website, and great customer service. We completed our refinance quickly and saved a significant amount of money doing so. I highly recommend the Money Store. Probably the worst experience for refining our loan, would never do it again, took 5 months and multiple phone calls. Everyone was very nice to talk to but my confidence in the company as a whole is such that I would not recommend to anyone.

We recently refinanced our home with The Money Store. It was a smooth process from start to finish, and we were kept informed every step of the way. Robert Phipps and Ann Marie Williams were fantastic! Our questions, comments, and concerns were answered immediately and thoroughly. The entire process was done online with the exception of the final paper signing. A mobile notary came to our house. Efficient, professional, and friendly service. Fast and convenient service! Great rate offered for refinance!

After applying for several VA and conventional loans, we were fortunate enough to be referred to Robert Phipps at the Money Store who was highly recommended to us. We were concerned because one our pre-approvals was denied due to my work as a contractor. The last thing we wanted was to find the home of our dreams only to have the funding fall through in the end. However, Robert understood the Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac guidelines thoroughly and anticipated the documents that would be needed during the underwriting process. He assured us that our loan would be funded at a very competitive rate.

Of course, there were many questions once escrow began. Robert usually returned our call/email/text messages within minutes. He was available 24/7 to answer all of our questions and put our mind at rest. In the end, he locked us in at a rate that beat all other lenders. Robert has earned our complete confidence and we would not hesitate to use him again.

My loan gurus (Armen and Vivian) were amazing!!! There s nothing to complain about. Very knowledgeable at what they do. Told me like it is with no sugar coating or a sales pitch.

This was a refinance experience. The property insurance policy was provided before closing. However, after the refinance was done, I was told by MLD that I did not provided a valid insurance policy. I then contacted my insurance company, and uploaded the policy. Later I got a letter from MLD that they will purchase an insurance for me because I do not have one. Later, I got another email indicated that a premium was paid by MLD, and I need to pay back to the escrow.

I am not happy with the experience.

Streamlined process and no hidden costs. It took a little longer than expected for the refinance process but it seems like they were handling large volumes due to low interest rates. Overall satisfied with the service.

This was the second refi that I did with the Money Store in two years. The first one, in 2020, took 120 days, and the process started prior to COVID striking, but then only got worse. I got shafted on my appraisal with numerous mistakes in the report. Despite providing documentation as proof of improvements to my home, and comps in my subdivision, not mention assessor's reports, the appraiser wouldn't budge. And I got zero help from MLD. The second refi I did with them in 2021 only took about 60/65 days, and the length of time was due to my loan processor not reading the documents I uploaded. She missed my Trust and I found that I had to reupload several documents because they went into a black hole. Communication was so-so, but at least I had a remote close at my home, and in 2021, I didn't have to go for a second closing because MLD missed some documents as they did in the first.

Overall it ended well, we did have multiple problems with miss communication and different people telling us to do different things and spending a few extra hundred dollars more then we needed to. But like I said it did end well and now we have our dream house.

MLD Mortgage did a horrific inhumane injustice to my daughter and her family. I hold Debra Sullivan and Jacqueline Boston accountable for this injustice. I personally would like to know how do these people go to sleep at night knowing that they have left a family high and dry, broke and homeless. They basically gave her the American Dream and took it away, because it would cost the company to much money too fix their mistake. Well in business when you mess up, you own it and fix it. Not MLD, they are not to be trusted. The ONLY reason why there's 1 star up here is because it the only way to post your opinion is to give them something otherwise they would have gotten a big fat ZERO. This is getting reported to the BBB, because this goes against all of the "Fair Housing Laws".

I started my loan with them in October with a promise that I would be able to close before New Year s. Unfortunately, that never happened. It took multiple emails and complaints on my part to get their attention to finally close my loan. By mid February we were able to close. That being said, the people that I dealt with, were always professional and wanting to help. This makes me believe the problem comes from the higher ups.

We initiated a refinance with Quicken Loans/Rocket Mortgage and partially through the process they went silent and on three occasions the call dropped after 30 minutes on hold. At that point, Jonathan Langer from the Money Store called and offered to assist us in the refinance. The experience working with Jonathan could not have been any different. If I could give them a lower star I would. I am a professional signing agent/mobile notary who conducted a loan closing for this company back in June 2019. I have yet to receive payment for notary work that was performed for this company. I even made a phone call to Mr. Lawrence Dear, President & CEO and I have yet to receive a response. So, for any other mobile notary/signing agent out there beware of working and getting paid from this company.

The Money Store experience was by far the best I have had going through the home buying process.

Buying a home can be so stressful as most people know. Who you choose as a lender can be a significant cause of stress or can be the reason the process goes much smoother than expected. The Money Store was the latter. The level of communication and attention that my wife and I received was mind-blowing to say the least. Every step of the way there was a member of TMS that walked us through each phase step by step and was incredibly patient with us.

We were able to get rate options that far exceeded our expectations and was not forced into choosing options that would have left us overextended. We plan on making this our "forever" home and we owe a huge gratitude to TMS for making that possible.

Especially true if you have had any past credit issues. I went through a divorce and was left with the usual junk affecting my credit score many years later. MLD worked with me to resolve the issues and I was able to secure a great mortgage.

The process is too slow. The closing is keeping pushing back and no reason was provided.

I worked with Xin Li's team with refinance of my primary home and investing home. The experience and service is super, Xin Li and her assistant Jun Dai and Yi-Ying all really friendly and helpful during the process. They are the most professional and experienced team which patiently answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable about making decisions on the terms. The were extremely helpful when we missed our scheduled appraisal first time and evolved through the process to help us get the replaced appraisal scheduled asap.
