Advertised as "full hookups". I pulled in to my space only to find electrical. ,(no water or sewer). I went to the office and was told " this is Seward. You can go fill your water tank and use the dump station if you want to". I then said I would cancel and was told that they would only reimburse 50% of my funds. I feel that all the beach spaces are substandard and would NOT recommended it to any friends.

There is excellent potential at Millers Landing for a new example to be set in the way of 21st century EcoBusiness that yields millions of dollars in revenue while restoring the Natural state of the land and ecosystem.

"Working Vacations", Stewardship Projects and being the primary base in Alaska for several upcoming Motion Picture Films about People and Nature.

Multi-millions of dollars have been earned in this small Alaska town by very successful businesses like Millers Landing.

Now, with more and more people of all ages seeking a more meaningful and enjoyable Alaska ADVENTURE rather than a tourism propelled cattle drive, the sudden and extreme drop in tourism can be replaced by a more ecologically and therefore Economically sound business of Education - Stewardship - and Production... putting people to work caring for the Land, Trees and Water, Trails, shoreline, riverbank. They are can really use some stewardship.

A whole new industry is born that is mutually beneficial instead of mutually assured destruction.

We destroy Nature, She destroys us. We care for Nature, She cares for us.

Millers Landing is the best place in the world for this to begin.

I did a boat and kayak trip with Miller s Landing with my college yesterday. Despite my fear of boats, open water, and constant sea sickness, this was one of the most amazing and memorable trips of my life. The staff at Miller s Landing are some of the most kind and genuine people I ve had the pleasure of meeting while in Alaska. Even while I was throwing up on the deck of their boat, they made sure I was as okay as I could be and that I still had the best time possible. This trip will not be one I will soon forget, and I especially want to thank Paul, Connor, Chance, and Nick from Miller s Landing for being so incredibly kind to me and making this trip worthwhile.

It's more than a 3, but less than a 4. Positives: We loved the location on Resurrection Bay. The staff members were always nice.

The individual campsites themselves are small and poorly marked. The paper map that they give you helps a bit, but the actual paths are frequently impassable due to parked cars. Some sites are ridiculously small and some are a decent size.

The bathrooms are always wet & dirty because there are no paper towels and people drip their hands everywhere. It's impossible to keep up without a full-time attendant, I understand. Just be prepared. It's slippery.

Quiet hours are NOT followed at all, nor enforced. Because the summer sun is up all night, so are loud people. If you're seeking quiet, go elsewhere.

Mostly our problem was the price. It is WAY cheaper to go with the city of Seward campgrounds at $10/night. For the price we paid at ML and still have to pay for showers, it's ridiculous.

Also, the "road" to get to Lowell Point is all kinds of horrible. NOT the campground's fault at all, but you should know that it's not a traditional asphalt road. It's dusty, narrow & filled with potholes & unmarked with any form of lines. Not a complaint, just an observation.

Having nothing to do with the rating, my iPad charger was stolen. When I asked at the desk if it had been turned in (which I wasn't expecting), the woman manning the desk indicated that "block chargers disappear a lot." FYI.

We wouldn't return to camp, but wouldn't hesitate to rent a kayak from them, hence the 3.

My Family and I had a Great time staying here, hanging out on the porch overlooking Resurrection Bay, and most importantly on our 2 day kayak trip into Kenai Fjord's Aialik Bay.
The water taxi captain, Steve, pointed out many sea birds on the way out, stopped to watch humpback whales breaching, and was super friendly.
Their kayak guide Dakota was great and pointed out glaciers, mountains, sea otters, sea lions and seals, and a pod of orca!
It's a cool outfit and was an Awesome Experience!

Stopped here by accident. We were standing at a remote launch area when some guys came by with Kayaks. They chatted with us for a while and let us know they were with Miller's Landing. We had no plans, so we wandered over and ended up doing a 3 hour guided Kayak tour on the far side of the fiord. It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip!

We booked a trip well in advance, drove over three hours to get there and they called 5 min before we arrived to cancel. No explanation, no accommodation, just a surly captain just telling us we were SOL. I understand mechanical issues happen, but there's no way they discovered an issue :05 before we were supposed to arrive, and the response could not have been more unprofessional. I definitely don't recommend this group.

Can't really give a good or bad rating. On September 16, they had put everything away for the season. Some campgrounds do close after labor day weekend, but considering all the things they offer, they should have waited until the end of the month.

We used their sea taxi services. They told us to be ready on the beach by 4pm and they'd be there latest at 4:30. They didn't show up until 5pm. We waited in the freezing rain. They also charged an adult price for my one year old even though he didn't take up a seat. Even the sea captain told us we could go talk to the manager about it but the manager was extremely rude. I wouldn't have asked if one of their employees hadn't volunteered the information. One of their competitors told us "I would never recommend Miller's Landing" and I can see why since they left such a bad taste in my mouth. It's a good thing I didn't tell them I was pregnant or they would've charged $50 for that too. My parents live in Alaska and they certainly won't be recommending them either.

I'm a wedding photographer based out of Anchorage and have had the pleasure of working with Tom over at Miller's Landing twice now. Both times, he has been incredibly lovely to work with - doing everything he can to accommodate my wedding couples even if it means going out of his way to do so. Miller's Landing is such a magical place and I'm thrilled every chance I get to go there. Looking forward to many future trips for work and play!

The campsite we stayed at was wide open, the ground was all rocks and not even at all. The showers were a token system and overall I feel like camping elsewhere would have yielded better results.

It looks like my first review was deleted and an extra star somehow got added!! If I could give them a zero, I absolutely would!!! We did the 5pm-9pm salmon/rockfish combo. At the very beginning we started out with issues, we didn't depart until 5:30 ( were told we would stay out extra to make up for the time). After that we were told we could either fish for salmon OR rockfish..he also informed us that we could go check out this one place that had a lot of pinks( according to him, they are way better than salmon), the boat couldn't even get to where he was taking us.. out of the 4 locations we went to, only one of them had fish..our captain was extremely unexperienced. He didn't know how to operate the pumps on the boat, as a result we started to sink!!!! Will attempt to attach picture again. He attempted to get the water out by speeding up the boat, he then went to the back of the boat to see if it was working. Just as he got to the back, we hit a wave and it made us veer towards the cliff!!!!! He ran back to the wheel almost knocking a woman off the boat who was vomiting, good thing her husband was holding her. After we got back to shore at 8:40( should have been 9:30 with the delayed departure) they never offered a refund or even acknowledged/apologized for anything!!! I honestly don't even think they acknowledge us besides to give us our 5 filleted rockfish (the other couple only got 2 rockfish). I DO NOT recommend them at all! Unprofessional all around!!!

We went fishing with Captain Dustin. It was awesome. We caught so much fish and were givrn a ride by Josh into town to have our fish packaged and shipped. We even were invited to hang out for some family time at the camp. The staff was friendly and helpful. We look forward to a return trip. You have to watch the Chubby Bunny game.

This place is off the beaten path and has a lot going for it, despite some deficiencies.

First off, it's kinda rustic and a little run down, but it does attract a large number of tent campers, which reminds me of camping in the old days. The camping area is a maze of small dirt lanes roughly carved out of a mature hemlock forest with glacial till soil. Level and smooth ground is at a premium. The campsites were quite full both times I have been there, and a cozy pleasant atmosphere pervades with the fragrant scent of spruce wood campfires, and folks sitting around enjoying conversation and food.

The crowd tends to be younger, so more noise, even after quiet hours Though in my couple of nights stay there the noise was generally tolerable, being mostly the sounds of happy people, though it went late into the evening. There is noise of a different kind which you may or may not enjoy; crow-like birds making a heck of a racket in the early morning. I found it tolerable and pleasantly adding to the campsite ambience until one landed on the picnic table outside my tent! Actually, I can laugh about that now. It was pretty funny.

Here is what really lacks: the bathroom. Though newer, is not up to the needs of the large number of campers, stays very busy and challenging to keep clean. I didn't considered it unsanitary, just overly used. They were also very spartan. For example: you will be forced to stuff your towel, clothes, and toiletries, upon a tiny shelf next to the counterless sink while you brush your teeth and stoop down to see yourself in an overly low hanging mirror, while in plain sight of folks in the hallway because there isn't a door.

It is a diamond in the rough. I might go back someday. Despite the inconveniences it has a lot of charm.

The best part of the day was the beautiful weather...

The best part of the day was the beautiful weather and views, neither of which had anything to do with the company. We took the best of Alaska tour - which was advertised as kind of a choose your own adventure of kayaking, fishing, hiking, and boating. In reality, it was a half-day kayak trip and a half-day fishing trip very awkwardly smashed together. The fishing guides had no interest in helping with kayaking questions or concerns, and vice versa.

We started an hour late with no explanation. Only one of the four staff members introduced himself to the group, and they talked among themselves until they were sarcastically reminded by the captain to interact with the clients. Once we got to the destination, the kayak guides were nice but did not communicate expectations as far as time, distance, or difficulty of the tour.

We were also promised lunch, snacks, and water and told that we only needed a waterproof jacket ...not the case. There was only about half a gallon of water onboard, and lunch was DIY deli meat sandwiches with vegetables that a guide cut up using a dirty paring knife from a random shelf, which he cleaned on his pants. We were all dehydrated after kayaking for 3 hours, and there were no cups for water. The captain offered us a single dirty metal cup.

The fishing guides were pretty unimpressive, at least in comparison to the staff of the other charter we did in Alaska. We are not fishing experts, and there was a real lack of patience and communication. We felt more like a burden than paying customers, which was disappointing. Other attendees felt the same. Just not a great vibe.

Definitely do a boat trip out of Seward! It s beautiful, but would not recommend this specific company.

THIS IS MORE OF A WARNING TO THE CONSUMER THAN A COMPLAINT. I would rate this lower if possible. I wish that I would have seen the "campground" (if you could call it that, it is really a gravel parking lot with tree roots sticking out.) I understand they can not do anything about the raw sewage smell but they could at least warn you when you talk to them on the phone. They can do something about the loose dogs running around (taking stuff off other peoples tables.) Even if that is someone else to blame the Restroom/shower room looked as if it was in a homeless shelter. every time i walked up on the deck there were more then one adult half dressed changing on the deck outside. the inside had more waste on the floor than in the toilet. I also cant imagine the trash that was piled all around the dumpster could have possibly been safe considering all the kids that were playing around the lot i would think the dumpster would be bear proof witch would not have mattered considering it was overflowing on to the street. If you have any phobias of birds stay away the ravens are like a scene out of The Birds they are very territorial. It was scary at times. I know that they have enough picnic tables for each spot but if you don't want to argue with a drunk person over it you don't get one. same issue with parking and when I asked about the parking i was told to park somewhere else and that I should be able to figure it out. So my only please go look for yourself before you pay for it because there is no discount even when you have to park in a mud pit because your spot has someone in it.

Stayed in a cabin for three days. The cabin is great and has all the necessary amenities (toilet, shower, kitchen, grill). The location not far from the beach and the views are great. Disappointing was that despite the high price we did not feel welcome. The outdoor area was not finished, the toilet was not taught (yes, still nice ..... in it from the last guest), the windows could not be closed (the ladder was broken) and the terrace was full of bird droppings (the finished Canopy would have helped). Can handle all this. But what did not go was the rude kind of staff. Despite repeated feedback at the front desk exactly nothing happened. Too bad, but I can not recommend the property. Drive to the campsite, enjoy the view and the beach and sleep elsewhere.

Stayed in the Lookout Cabin and rented linens for one night, glad we brought a towel since none was included. The cabin is in the campground so it can get a bit loud at night. No view of the water. The mattress covers were stained and the door didn't lock. Overall a pretty location and friendly staff.

The cabin was very nice, well made and cozy. The fireplace took a bit of figuring out but after that provided plenty of warmth to keep the little cabin toasty warm. The location was as close to the oceanfront as it gets, less than 100 ft from the shore. The bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities are all pretty nice, though basic. The main office sells fire wood. overall our stay was very nice.

Every time I visit Seward we camp here. It is the best place to camp! This time we took a Kayak self-rescue class with Ben and he was excellent, gave great tips and made sure we knew everything we needed to Kayak and camp safely. We paddled to Caine's head. We didn't get the chance to hike all the way up to the base but it was a beautiful trip. I 100% recommend Miller's Landing and we will always camp there and rent from them. Thanks Ben, we appreciate you!!

The people who work at ML are super nice and helpful and if your looking for a place to experience an Alaska fishing area with a lot of noise, hustle and bustle, then this is for you. For us not so much (thus the two stars). The place is loud (5am tell 12am) campsites are random and on top of each other (we had tent campers literally behind our RV), when we moved to our 2 nights on the beach 2 people had parked their cars in our camp spots and didnt return tell 10pm and no one at Millers landing could help or knew who the cars belonged too. It is an active fishing spot with lots of boats and noise. No one policed camp spots, parking is a mess, our 1st camp spot was basically in the parking lot, bathrooms are dirty, beach spots are a gravel lot, our whole camping experience was the worst on our whole trip so far. The best part was when we asked where to fill with water and were directed the the non potable water...which is apparently potable? We had to stay in Seward one extra night due to camper trouble and stayed down town on a city lot for the same price and had water and electricity. If we come back we would choose the city lots or a different campground. Loved Seward, the Fjords boat trip, the people and glaciers.

Very disappointed with fishing trip experience and hate to say, would not recommend based on this one time. Called 3 hours ahead out of Anchorage to say we would be there on time, so far so good. Called 30 minutes before trip to say we were in town, told look forward to seeing us
Buy licenses at location and met other person joining us on trip around 11:45 am as boat trip scheduled from 12-4. Around 12: 30 pm, no word about delay so inquired at desk and told trip cancelled because morning trip( 7-11) experienced engine problems. Other boat traveler not aware either. Asked for refund and told they would take care of it but it took 30 minutes for them to show it was done. Frustration comes from lack of communication and caring. No phone call to say trip cancelled nothing said when I called twice, nothing said when licenses purchased at 11;30 and nothing said until inquiry made 30 minutes after boat was supposed to leave. Travelled 700 + miles for trip but lack of apology is what made this writer respond to inquiry about rating my experience.

My husband and I have been to Alaska twice & rente...

My husband and I have been to Alaska twice & rented an RV both times so we could explore & fish. The first time we stayed at the waterfront "Park" (really a parking lot...literally) in Seward. It's on the waterfront & has good showers & bathrooms, but no privacy and very crowded. One day out driving we discovered Miller's Landing and were VERY sorry we didn't stay there because it was remote and very laid back. The facility is at the end of a gravel road about 4 miles out of town and it is a little aged and well-worn... just what you'd expect in a cozy beachy village... not a dump, just a little weather-beaten and well-used. The next time we came to Alaska we made a point of staying there and LOVED it. The RV was too big for any of the spots in the woods and we were initially disappointed, but they have a number of spaces in a gravel area right on the water and we were able to get a place there. Other RVs were parked right next to us, but it was quiet and still felt fairly private. The view was absolutely stunning. We had electric and water hook-ups so no problem there at all. Our biggest challenge was getting level (but we're novices with RVs so it might have been us... although it is sloped a little).

What I LOVED was that there is a "clubhouse" facility... well, really it's where you check in, rent boats, sign up for charters, etc., plus a tiny market for necessities. They have free wifi there and free coffee (with a container for donations) and when the weather is good, there is a covered porch with rocking chairs and hummingbird feeders where you can sit and stare at the gorgeous scenery across the bay, see occasional sea otters frolic, butterflies flitting by, while you sit and sip coffee and send email to all your unfortunate friends who aren't with you. I woke up early every day and spent a couple of hours there every day until my husband and mother-in-law woke up. It was heaven!

They also do kayak rentals and fishing charters and I loved being there when the fishermen returned and hung their catch... it was just so perfectly ALASKAN!

The tent camping has a distinctly "hippies in paradise" feel and you hear live music and laughter coming from the woods in the evening (not obnoxiously loud... it just adds to the ambiance). I thought the showers and bathrooms were fine and was surprised to see the negative comments from someone else.

In short, if you want a casual and uniquely "Alaskan" experience, I would definitely recommend Miller's Landing. If you want something more glitzy and upscale, let me suggest the RV park attached to the Princess Lodge on the Kenai. If you want a place convenient to getting around in town (Seward), then stay in the waterfront parking lot in town which is nice and has good views and no real personality, but is heavy on convenience.

We LOVE Miller's Landing and will absolutely go back.

The wooded (in the woods) campsites were a little confusing and not very level for Rv's. The staff was friendly once you knew who you were supposed to talk to she easily changed our wooded spot to one on the waterfront! The bathroom was clean. There was a fee for the showers. Adding a shelf would be an improvement and a bench would be better than a chair.

I wish I could give a lower rating.

I wish I could give a lower rating.

Going through Sewrd several time a year in the past summers, I ended up at Miller's landing because of the lack of other bookable campgrounds.

If you manage to be in a cabin or on the waterfront, it will not be too bad. You will just have to deal with the dirtiest bathroom ever.

Bathroom: expensive shower, ground always covered in muddy water (to the staff: mopping doesn't just mean evenly spread dirt over the ground), usually one stall is closed out of three, garbage full off used toilet paper overflowing on the ground (Ok, sewage system cannot take it, but can you empty it more than once a day?), showers full of hairs and dirt permanently.

Campsites: usually a muddy pit, with roots coming out, and a name tag on a tree. You can either set your tent or park your car.

Firewood : expensive (but that is just Alaska) and store by the waterfront, so ALWAYS wet

Garbage: overflowing and disgusting, great bear awareness

Staff: usually friendly, nothing to say about that!

Smelly sewage treatment plant just next door, dogs going around, crows waking you up when sun rises.

The only pro is probably the view when you hang out on the deck.

Go there to enjoy the mood, take a fishing charter or have a coffee on the deck, but please leave before the sun sets and go to a place that cares about the people that sleep there.

I was ashamed to bring people there.

We had a bad day at Miller's landing. The staff and owners were awesome in helping us recover, but the outfit did not have the best set up to help novice kayakers be successful. We took a kayak tour, or at least we tried to.

We had iffy weather and choppy seas when we headed out. We ended up flipped in 42 degree water. Though we are very thankful to the staff and owners for helping us get back to shore, and our body temperatures back up. Our situation could have been really bad if it had been at the end of the tour rather than the beginning.

I'm sure Miller's landing has fine tours, but I would recommend it for only the experied and well outfitted kayaker. Our rescue from the water ended well, but I feel it would be irresponsible to not inform others that I would not use this outfitter unless you are experienced and able to provide your own dry suits. Heading out into the weather we went into with only rain gear and last minute beach training was ill advised.

We were lucky. A half hour in the water left us cold, but the hot shower and fire provided by the Miller's landing staff mended us quickly. The staff issued refunds or rescheduled tours for everyone on the trip. That being said we were lucky. We hope that this post will help you have a wonderful trip with no luck required.

The admirals cabin. No door on downstairs bedroom. Tv does not work. Couches look like came from a dumpster. No curtains anywhere. No coffee cups. Dirt in the shower. Exhausts from the little oil stove smelled up the house. Kitchen Chairs literally falling apart. Would never stay here again. Lamps don't work. This for 345.00 a night. What a joke.

I went to the website and put in booking information. I received an email stating "We have plenty of sites available and to call with payment information to complete booking." The scenery is beautiful, but nothing else was enjoyable whatsoever. We paid for a 6 hour tour and were explicit about wanting to be part of a group that would not slow us down. We only were able to paddle for 3 of the 6 hours due to others in our group and lack of leadership from our 'guides'. The staff was unprofessional for the entirety of our 'tour' to the point of exasperation and offense. Neither voicing my concerns in person nor my formal letter of disappointment and frustration was ever acknowledged. I do not recommend this company, but I will recommend the outstanding scenery of Resurrection Bay to anyone.

I went to Miller's landing for the purpose of taking the Caine's head kayak/hike tour. The tour is strenuous. The guides are excellent. The views are spectacular. We did not spend much time at Miller's landing itself. We had no desire to stay there. The kayak part is five miles! For someone who has only kayaked once before, five miles each way felt like an Olympian task. My friend and I needed help (towing by the guides, who were most gracious in providing that boost). Despite our struggle, we were in awe at the bright aquamarine waters, the verdant towering mountains, and the fresh air. The hike was the easier part even though it's uphill. The fort/bunker weren't anything to write home about, but the trail going up is lush and luxuriant. Apart from the actual tour, we were most appreciative of the kindness, support, and readiness of our guides. We enjoyed getting to know them, and their personalities are well suited to the task. Thank you Amber and Chris!

This is a review for the tent campsites. Don t ask for a water view because what you really get is a view of the parking lot and the RVs blocking the view of the Bay.

Tractors and RVs running all night and morning, so don t expect any peace and quiet. Restrooms/showers/laundry are all in one little building and serve the ENTIRE Miller camp - no one was wearing masks. Can t believe we paid $31 for this site. Denali campsites were $17. Honestly, you re better off hiking a bit, if that s your thing, and camping at Tonsina Point (saw some backpackers on our hike to the beach).

To be fair, their kayaking tours look great but everything was booked day of so (even with COVID)... so make sure you make reservations ahead of time!!

This was the first time bringing my RV to Seward, ...

This was the first time bringing my RV to Seward, so I knew nothing about Miller s Landing prior to arriving. The website looked good, and what pictures there were of the camping areas looked nice. I spoke with someone on the phone (didn t get a name), prior to my arrival. I asked him if the spot I would be in was a pull through so that I wouldn t have to unhook my 5th wheel. The unknown man on the phone said yes, and the space would accommodate me-no problem. He was a little curt with me when answering my questions, but I hoped that would be a on time experience.
Upon my arrival at Millers Landing, I went into the building that houses the office and store. I went up to the counter where business is conducted, but there was no one there. I saw several people in a back room, discussing matters of their business. Although they saw me, none of them seemed interested in helping me. I waited several minutes, and then another young man with blonde hair came out of a separate back room, eating something as he approached me. He did not greet me, and seemed annoyed that I was there. Without going into further detail about my contact with him, suffice it to say that he was not helpful or enjoyable to interact with.
He told me what space I was assigned to, and abruptly ended the conversation. I said thank you, and he did not respond. When I pulled up to my assigned RV spot, I saw that it was in fact a back-in , and not a pull -through spot. In addition, it was very small and not very level. It was barely big enough to accommodate my trailer alone, much less my tow vehicle. It was also very narrow....barely wide enough to open the slides on my trailer.
I left, and found accommodations in the city run RV Park in town. The city park is a better location, better hook-ups, and a larger spot that accommodated both my trailer and tow vehicle. The price differences between the two locations was negligible.
My first and last impression of Miller s Landing? Whoever is running this place does not put much import on customer service or the quality of their product . I will not be back.

I had an awesome time, we rented the Admiral's cottage, we only had 5 people in our group, plenty of room at all times, at a price that could not be beat. Is it a 5 star large city hotel? No, very no. But it was very nice for our purposes. Call it Alaska comfortable. Just a short stroll to the main Miller's landing building, free coffee in the morning, chock full of local charm, and the view was crazy beautiful.

I am writing this review on my recent trip out with Miller s Landing. I have been on over 30 charters in my 24 years here in Alaska and this outfit is the most un-professional I have ever gone out with. This is my list of issues:

For starters, you are put on a retrofitted gill net boat. To top that off the charter was supposed to start at 0730 but they weren t ready. Then you are loaded onto a min-bus and driven down the beach further to a landing area where you are shuttled to your boat. We didn t even get started till nearly 0830.

Next we head out to Pony Cove and are slammin salmon when all of the sudden the skipper says we are headed out for halibut with only a third of our allotted silvers. Not only was he rude but he was talking BS because he thought he had a boat full of chechakos who didn t know any better.

So we head out to his BIG BOY hole which was 470 feet deep. I have NEVER fished for halibut over 150 ft and have had excellent results. After sitting there for 4 hours without a nibble he moves us closer to shore in 270 ft of water for chicken butts and we were still skunked.
The day ended with us grabbing our limit of rockfish and half our salmon but who can t do that? I have had better results going out on the military charters every time.

In conclusion, don t waste your money or your time. Get yourself a real charter in town. This outfit is a joke.

We had an amazing time at Miller's landing. We caught our limit of rockbass as well as learned a bunch about local flora and fauna at the Tonsina Beach kayak. Was a highlight of our family's vacation in Seward.

As it appears my brothers review was deleted I will leave it again and continue to until it stays up. We came out on a kayak tour while on our family vacation. 15 out of the 13 people on the tour were in our family. We were looking forward to a day out on the water, but that quickly changed when we realized how rude our tour guides were. Ben and we aren t sure of the other guys name but he was young. From the start of the trip to the end these guys were making snarky comments and had zero patience with first time kayakers. These guys said things to my mother like, Maybe if you would stop talking I would tell you, or How hard can it be to use your paddle to push of the rock. These are just two examples from many things. We picked this tour because it was less expensive than most and we had a coupon for it. But I guess you really do get what you pay for. I would recommend spending the extra money and picking one of the other kayak tours if you d like to enjoy your tour.

The campground and RV sites seem nice, but I would not recommend staying in the cabins. We were moved to the admirals cabin after the yurt we were supposed to stay in was not completed in time. We were told by several employees that this was their nicest cabin. We arrived to a cabin that had clearly not been entered for some time, there was at least a weeks worth of pollen on the porch if not two weeks worth. The inside and outside of the cabin smelled of kerosene, we turned off the heater and alerted the front desk twice before anyone came to look at it. The maintenance man literally came and turned the heater on again and told us to open the windows of the smell got too strong. We just went without heat for our stay, rather than having headaches from the fumes. The grill outside was disgusting, and had an empty propane tank, which the maintenance man did get us a new one quickly. The WiFi did not work when we arrived and was not fixed until the next day. The inside of the house was covered in spiderwebs. I decided to wash all the bedding we were using since the house did not seem like it had been attended to in quite some time and discovered that the beds did not have mattress pads or protective covers. The kitchen counter had several stains on it that I was able to get up with a little scrubbing. The couches were dirty and extremely worn. No coverings on the windows, to block any of the 24 hours of daylight in the summer. I would never stay here again.

I lack the proper superlatives to praise this place. A friend booked a non-guided kayak rental and sea taxi for a group of 8. When we arrived a day early in our RV they went above and beyond to make everything happen for us. I would recommend this group to handle any fishing or tour group. Great packages and very knowledgeable staff. Captain Tommy was a lot of help answering all of our questions when we saw a group of Orca and a whale just after seeing the Orca pod. In summary, Great Staff, Great place to keep you Organized and on Schedule. Great place to go to fish or sight see in Kayaks...

We rented the Captain's Cabin for one night. The outside of the cabin did not look appealing at all. We went inside the cabin and were absolutely disgusted by the look and horrible smell of it. The pics that are posted on their website must be from about 10 years ago. Very disgusting and we ended up leaving and not even staying the night. We cut our losses on the cost of the cabin and found lodging elsewhere. Would definitely not recommend anyone to stay there unless you have your own RV and then the campground looked very crowded. It's just not a very clean, neat looking place. I'm not a snob that's needs a perfect place to sleep. We live on a hobby farm with lots of animals....
